• Automatically update a DPS application?

  A DPS app update automatically? We want to use the application to run on an ipad as a POP display for the customer. But we need to update the attractor loop that plays with sales, new alerts etc. So far, I found nothing in this regard. My guess on this operation would be to have the attractor as a display of web pages with this content remotely hosted on one server. This page is updated every 60 seconds via javascript. Then, when you want to update this attractor we update the HTML etc. Then our button to explore the rest of the application is in html that links to the next article. All the thoughts, ideas would be appreciated. My understanding is that the applications need manually updated on the ipad and wrong at work.

  I just deployed a new version of my app and AutoUpdate updates fail with the dreaded #16824 error.

  The two versions were built with:

  If I understand correctly, you are able to open your apps, but what you do in them makes it insensitive so you press the Home button to exit the application, and then go back into it to make it work. This looks like a software issue to me, we should be able to solve. I would start by quit all applications running on your iPad. Normally, simply quit the application affected, but in this case because it seems to be all of them, I'd leave all.

  Force an app to close the iOS

  1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
  2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
  3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

  Just for the heck of it, I have disabled the automatic updates, cleared my browser cache, checked manually, updates from microsoft (windows) and found none (with the exception of software malware removal tool windows [which I have not installed]).  Then, I turned the automatic updates on, and without even being connected to the internet, the yellow shield popped up with the kb955759 "update"...
