  First of all, I would like to
  say you that I came up with this correction, after a clean reinstall of the
  Vista. (I used the serial number of windows on the bottom of my laptop for)
  install, so it's the same license as the OEM of windows and therefore

  stopped working. After browsing around forums toshiba I found
  this case, I removed the support button utility that the mute button has acted as
  a mute button. Also the mediaplayer button worked fine. Reinstalled
  the utility support for the button and they have stopped working. After many
  toshiba calls (I think about 5-6 in one day) they opened a
  support ticket for me, because they (team support callcenter)
  could not find a solution. Following their advice, I did the
  next to try to make it work:

  * Don't have a system restore with the restore DVD.
  * Do you have an another clean install.
  * Install the drivers in various ways (alphabetically reversed by alphabetical order and order of collection DVD).
  * update my BIOS.
  * downloaded a 'new' version of value added package (which was the same thing I already had).
  * installed the VAP with and without technical support button utility, no changes.
  After doing everything
  This, they said that they did not know the cause of my problem (at the beginning
  they thought it was hardware related). They came with a possible

  This PPV version 1.17 and installed it. After a reboot, the buttons
  still did not work. But at least I got the file HWSetup.exe, where I
  could turn the LED off. Look into the button holder utility, I have
  saw that there where buttons like "Toshiba Assist" which my
  the laptop model is not.

  Navigation
  through the toshiba forum I found a file named ButtonSettings.ini, in
  which I can manually configure special keys. After a google
  search on the name of the file, I found that all the buttons list
  in a registry key. I saw the "Dimmer" file using the button
  folder and clicked on it. Poof... lights went out. Click again,
  Poof... lights turn it back on. So I replaced the wrong button definitions
  with CDDVD and dimmer values. Saved my changes but is not a restart.
  Opens the support button utility and change the path of
  MediaPlayer (who was always there to a previous definition) to
  Dimmer.exe. checked to see if the button CDDVD pointed
  MediaPlayer and restarted. When everything has been started, I pushed on the
  button again and presto... MUTE lights off. Pushed again, poof...
  lights. Pressed the mediaplayer button and started to mediaplyer. I have
  has been very happy when everything worked.
  Now that you
  know the story, here's the fix.

  * Difficulty: *.
  * Download and install the new VAP from here: [http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/util_tvap_26084A.exe]
  * Choose Edit in the installation and make sure that everything is checked
  * do NOT restart after the installation.
  * Download the ini fix and the fixed registry
  * Uncompress its contents into your working folder.
  * Copy the ini into C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TBS (where C: is the drive of program files)
  * In this same folder, start the exe called TBSbtnSt.exe
  * do NOT restart, click on 'no' in the dialog box.
  * Double click on the registry key, and then click 'Yes' to add to the registry
  * Then open the button support utility by clicking Start-> Toshiba-> utilities-> Toshiba assist. Help go to optimilization and click support button tohiba
  * If the path or the description is disabled, fix, and then click Save. See also if the CD/DVD mediaplayer points.
  * Restart you computer now.
  * If everything is is well past your special buttons should work.

  It worked for
  me, with my Toshiba Satellite P300-h-13, edition windows Home premium 32-bit.
  It should work on any model of 6 buttons with the mediaplayer and the mute
  buttons. I am in no way responsible for any damage that may arise

  After communication with Sandisk (they * will keep talking about you, I'll give you em that...!), received suggestiion put in MTP mode and rename the folder 'Rhapsody' folder 'Services', if such were present.  Computer would only remove, so I again asked if the deletion was OK and if having a folder 'Rhapsody', it turns the e280 thought I had or used to have a Rhapsody subscription.  Positive on these two points, so I deleted the folder.  Problem solved.  Fix five minutes, including waiting for the computer to start...

  Follows my email to Sandisk.  (It's * my * e-mail, so I figure that I can copy it anywhere I want and he said what I have to say about the problem... ;->))

  'Rhapsody' folder deleted. Unit works now fine with Sansa docking station and radio alarm clock.

  Wish that someone had told me about this simple correction much earlier. (Like $500 earlier!) My husband and I love all the e280s and the docks and wake-scattered, in fact, and I guess we'll get our money out of them before die us, but what I originally wanted was to get the first e280 to work with radio-alarm clock, as it did before the problem started.

  Suggestions for Sandisk:

  Format should mean FORMAT! I don't know if I find more amazing than the left repeated formats this Rhapsody folder in place or that it took so much communication with you all luck to someone who knew that. It's not as if I did not mention Rhapsody first - due to my chance to see only fleeting message when the problem started, it was the * first * possibility I mentioned, I think.

  It's also a problem the Amazon, DRM-free tracks somehow did it think that I had an expired subscription to Rhapsody, when I've never been and won't be anywhere * near * Rhapsody! (Especially after this experience!)

  It would be nice if everything was at least * visible * in MSC mode - I didn't on this issue because it does not appear in the mode I use! If I * saw * it in MSC mode, I tried the suggested fix original (rename) on mine!

  It would also be nice if your future mp3 players were more like the e200 series. I'm not terribly unhappy to have a bunch of e280s (well good, except for the money...), because I think they make your current line look sick.

• Troubleshooting said printing problem fixed, but this is not

  I am running Windows 7 with a Dell 720 photo printer. I had to download a printer driver, the printer is not compatible with Windows 7, but support Dell says I put everything. Everything was fine for a while. Then a gummed up print job works. Nothing will print and I can't delete the file that is causing problems. Troubleshooting, says the issue is resolved, but it is not. I tried to delete all the print jobs, but it will not go away.

• Windows 7 audio and video stutter problem

  Recently when I watch videos (be it youtube, shake, DVD or videos on my hard drive) apparently at random my audio and video will be stutter.

  I tried to disable hardware acceleration, it did not help. I have the latest video and audio drivers (that I know) and it seems to happen more predictable when I run a software intensive treatment like utorrent, it is not get recorded by the recorder of camtasia studio or bandicam (first being a screenshot while the second is a game of capture) I tried to catch in the Act to make a short video to demonstrate the problem , but he has not registered. the video seems quite well with no stutter.

• Insane AVCHD (.mts) problems after CC 7.1.0 update

  So, technically, I solved this myself, but I write as a question if anyone has a solution to make it a non-issue in the first place.

  I often edit for a TV show shot on a Canon XA10, so for about a year I've been editing AVCHD files with little or no problem. I had a mix of "scratch disks" with full AVCHD file structures and just on their own .mts files.

  I applied the new CC updates week last (on Windows 7 64 bit), bought a Canon C100 and was happy to play with test sequences when I tried to import it and got the dreaded error "the file has an unsupported compression type.". The images have been imported using the Pixela software included, who joined segmented clips if necessary AVCHD and gives you just the .mts files (no folder structure). I turned to images of one of my projects past and sure, same thing. Looks like I had a classic case of the old bug "back to the essay" on my hands, but I wanted to play a little more before going back to a painful full reinstall, so I tried to load into the SOUL and AE - worked well! Then, I opened the project that used this previous film... and it worked! Sort of...

  He already any load of videos very well, if I tried to reimport the same old clip that didn't work in my previous attempt, it worked fine. But then if I tried to import images of C100, it wouldn't work. I closed the project, then re-opened the earlier where I discovered the problems, and once more, none of this would work.

  So I tried something crazy. I just renamed a clips... and it worked? So, I renamed each of them and BAM they all work. Ridiculous. Not content with that, I reconnected my camera and imported the images manually, as the entire structure of AVCHD and only .mts files, and now they all work, even without changing the name. The old images that I have? Does not work unless it is renamed. But, I tried importing the C100 through the Pixela software always thinking that it could have been the cause... and it also works!

  So in conclusion... I have no idea. But if anyone has any idea of what happens here, be my guest and explain this nightmare. But if you run into the same situation as I, try just to rename your images and to play and see what happens.

  I can confirm this problem. I would recommend clearing your cache (Preferences > media)

  It worked for me. I also disabled id to write XMP files and that you enable clip and XMP metadata.

  Alternatively, you can move the outside the structure of avchd mts files.

  Settings and same process always refined.  Today, two different clips of two images from cameras Panasonic AG-AC160 different, same problem.  4 minute clips will not play correctly in the source, green screen, or no window movement, only sound.  Reading of red in the timeline.  Get it in the timeline once OK, then after rendering this axe to red sporadically.  Tried the new project, the same results.  Processor Intel 3.5 GHZ I7, engine reading Mercury, 32 GB of RAM, Win 7 Professional leased CS6 software up-to-date set.  Help, please!  Also, get pictures other clips (unselected) appears in the source sporadically.   More info after I play with it awhile.  Ran successfully on 10 seconds, I need (to 4 min clip) playing successfully in the timeline panel.  Looks and sounds great.  Exported from 3 different ways and all fruits and vegetables just the part of the video with flashing red flashes in the video.  The rest of the timeline is perfect.  My boyfriend used the same music, the same settings on his computer and said works very well.  The only thing that could be different I can think of any other clips and settings, I used is the length of the source clip.  Anyone?

  What I did was this AM to transcode the file in the Cineform codec (which comes with a program to transcode, if you do not first). That seemed to work and Cineform is more favourable to the editor than AVCHD. He consumes also four times the space for the clip, unfortunately.

• Imorting AVCHD - CS4 problems

  I'm trying to import AVCHD video recorded from my new camera Sony HXR-NX5U in first pro CS4 adobe.

  First I copied the camera video files on my computer, from there, I started a new project in adobe first and selected AVCHD 1080-24 p and then I go into the media browser and locate the files. Adobe first reads the importable files too, so I drag and drop from the media browser in adobe. Then I slip and fall in the sequence.

  Everything is good. But when I try to play the movie, all I get is very stuttery / barely video game and white noise full volume.

  Now the video/audio works fine on the camera, it works very well on TV, I managed to extract the audio fine in my computer directly to the output of the camera and I managed to export a quicktime video with relative sweetness - but still a slight visual distortion and glitches at the beginning and the audio was still a white noise. But I managed to replace the audio with audio that I pulled directly out of the cam.

  I know its probably something I'm doing wrong, or maybe my computer missing some codecs video/drivers?

  I noticed, when you create first a new project, my video capture options only are DV and HDV, but I noticed on a few videos, some people had quicktime option.

  I imported the quicktime .mov half-work that I had originally exported and then replaced the audio with my program audio nuendo and it plays back like it does on my computer. So it seems as if my problem arises in AVCHD, HD video or video format may be high resolution, etc., etc. Maybe my computer can't handle?

• Problem fixing copied VHD on a VM machine clustered

  what I can't do is to connect the hard drive virtual copied to the VM as well as the original... The error is that the virtual hard disk is already connected... so there is a problem of identical ID somewhere...

  I changed the ID of the VHD volume by attaching it to another machine (which works so its bound to the virtual machine), but this has not solved the problem.

  I don't know what another hyper-v can be compare to make him think that he is the same virtual hard drive, I'm trying to connect.
