  • The touchpad scrolling stops working during the AVG scanning

I had problems with my touchpad scrolling intermittently does not not in Firefox for everything to doing some time-probably at least a year. I've probably tried all the common fixes without result. I found that if I sign out and then sign back in to Windows, scrolling will work perfectly until AVG antivirus does a scan or an update. It will not work again until disconnect me and reconnect. Firefox is the only application that is affected.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) with all current updates on your laptop Gateway ID49C, version FF 27.0.1.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello!

I figured out how to stop the break when an AVG scan starts. It seems that it is the AVG scan notification that appears in the bar of tasks that causes scrolling to stop working. When I disabled the taskbar notifications in AVG, the scans run normally and my scroll continues to operate correctly. So, I guess I don't really fix anything, but found a workaround I can live with that.

Thanks for your help and assistance. If you find a permanent solution, please let me know. Have a great day.

  • AVG scan returns broken digital signature

Original title: scanned any computer with AVG 2011 first time and had 13 results. Here is one of them. What it means?

    ;" C:\Windows \Installer \14475d.msi «;» The file is signed with a digital signature that is broken, published by: AVG Technologies. « ; » »

The message is "informational" only, you can check the file to see if it looks suspicious, and out of place, but above all I have just to tell AVG to ignore it, especially when he talks about the files 'signed' by Microsoft, AVG, or other well-known companies.

  • Lost documents and Favorites after running CCleaner and AVG scan

I had a virus, tr/crypt.XPack.Gen., which caused the black screen and the digitization of the messages that I had never seen before. Safe mode, I did a restore of the system for 3 days before. I then ran CCleaner and moy. ALL My Documents and favorites are now gone! How can I get back them? Help, please.

Some time ago I got virus then my favorites and other documents have disappeared.
    Try this:
1 configure the compputer to display the hidden files and folders.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Show-hidden-files

    2. go into your Favorites folder. C:\Users\\Favorites

    3. right click on it-> properties on its 'attributes' uncheck 'Hidden', click on the button 'Apply', now check your Favorites.

    4. If the box before 'Hidden' is already disabled, put a control over it and click on the "Apply" button, on the guest "Confirm change" click the box before "apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files. Click OK to confirm. Now, turn off the "Hidden" attribute and apply to all folders, subfolders and files. I did this because some files are hidden and some are not, so I can't change the attributes of each hidden file one at a time, I hid all then show all. Now check your favorites if they show. If they appear, do the same for your missing documents.

  • Firefox installer detected as Trojan Dropper.Generic8.BMWS by AVG when moving folder

I was cleaning up my office moving my unused files to organized folders, for example, OriginalGameName, slipped into the games. and I happened to have an antivirus AVG scan running in the background at the same time. I created a folder named installers and dragged in Firefox_Setup.exe first. AVG has immediately launched a warning window saying that it was a Trojan horse and give me an option to remove.

Of course, why would the installer of my favourite internet browser include a Trojan Horse? I mean, my Firefox browser works fine and I also just so happen to be posting this on Firefox.

I was instantly suspicious and open SpyBot Search & Destroy and scanned. No result, then the AVG window seemed safe. I clicked on the option in the AVG window to remove the alleged Trojan, then scanned with SpyBot again to ensure that it was not the type of fake AVG caveat of the window that installs a Trojan horse once an option is selected.

So yes, I'm sure that I haven't gotten a fake AVG warning. And yes, I downloaded the installer from the site.

I am also quite paranoid about the virus and I have two different antivirus that I scan with each time I visit an unknown Web site or download anything and I am generally suspicious when you browse the internet.
I know that I gave a large amount of information, but I'm trying to avoid having 1 million on the information that I've left questions. I know there is a similar to this post, but I think that the other post includes enough information leading to unsatisfactory answers. Info dump on.

Yes, you must immediately update your Firefox to 23. This is crucial.

It sounds like you have a virus struck on a former installer you had sitting around? If you have downloaded this installer to a server of mozilla.org , so this is a false positive. They occur from time to time, various anti-virus will occasionally report a Firefox file as a virus when it is not really. Normally it clears up quickly. You can delete this former Installer, update of Firefox and be good to go.

  • Why updates for Firefox 11 made my incompatible AVG Internet Security?

I received a notice of Firefox after updating to Firefox 11 that my AVG Resident Shield is incompatible. I tried the AVG update, but none is available. I think that there will be coordination with AVG, before asking to update Firefox. It's a waste of time and it is inconceivable to me.

You hear the AVG scanning engine tools/link bar? AVG is responsible for the update of their own software to make sure it works with new versions of Firefox. According to AVG, http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread & act = show & id = 195993 #post_195993, they will add support for Firefox 11 with their next update. Once this update, I'm not sure. You can try posting in the forums, but hopefully, they will have an update for their software soon.

  • HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-one printer - problem scanning B110a

Using windows 7 Edition family, my scanner everything just stopped scanning and stuck at halfway through the last picture of around 200 photos I've been analyze to create a PDF file, it took me forever and I don't want to rescan all these again, nobody knows how to convince the scanner to create my pdf without a new analysis all these images again , I took the backup of all temporary files it creates during the preliminary scan and the creation of the PDF, such as MaglevExpressTemp (1.4 GB), etc... any help is very appreciated

Okay, so what I thought you meant originally was not that far from reality. Unfortunately, there is not a way that would be easy to convert these files. I would recommend performing the analysis again, into segments of 30-50 and then you can use PDF SAM program to combine those into a single unit.

    http://www.PDFSam.org/

In its current form is not a way for you to do what you ask in a simple way. It would be less time-consuming and easier to run it again.

I would like to know if this is the information that you need!

  • Why internet security avg check my yahoo mail

    Team dear Microsoft Answers

Am writing to you today because I'm confused how such a safety concern as this could happen and I think I've seen this more than once.

I am getting to the bottom of the mail sent to tell me how the mail had been checked by AVG Internet Security

(> > No virus found in this post.)
    > > Checked by AVG - www.avg.com
    (> > Version: 2012.0.1913 / Virus Database: 2112/4815 - Release Date: 17/02/12)

I do not understand why, when I uninstalled AVG a long time ago and also delete all the files that are hidden from the Local 'C' drive

I had at one time gave AVG installed on this laptop, but for a very short time.

I've seen this before, but it seems that from my Yahoo email account and only this one, I have two and this account is one of my first.

the address is: * address email is removed from the privacy *

I will write to Yahoo, AVG and Kaspersky about this, too, but it made me wonder if there is a link lingering on my laptop or is it in one of my files.

I hope I can get advice on this above statement.

    Yours Sincerely

    JTValerie

If you use 'Yahoo mail' as you say, then you are probably there access with a web browser. Is this the case?

I suspect that the sender of the messages using AVG scan his outgoing mail and attests that she (a waste of time, by the way) and you see what their computer system added to the post, not something to be added on your end.  Just to be safe, however, use the AVG Remover (found here: http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities) to ensure that AVG is completely out of your system.  Antivirus programs do their best to prevent being uninstalled, and often the Add/Remove programs of control panel uninstall program does not have a complete work.

  • Cannot start Acer aspire V3 - 571G "scan and repair drive (E): 27%.

Hello! I have an Acer aspire V3 - 571G. But I have a problem now, when I boot, the screen with the Acer logo appears, with the message: "Analysis and repair Drive (E): 27% Complete" and it never moves from 27 percent. So I unplugged the computer sometimes and sometimes a message asking me to restore to an earlier version. Once I tried to restore, a screen with the Acer logo appears. Before I restarted the computer and had this problem, I downloaded a scanning software from disk on the Ookla Speedtest site, but since he cannot solve all the problems, I downloaded another similar software by AVG Netherlands BV and fixed all the problems. Then they said that I needed to fix something in the Device Manager (3 of my miniports were not work) so I looked on the net for a solution, that I followed and uninstalled all 3 miniports. After the AVG scan, it asked me to restart, which I did later and could not get more in Windows. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I finally solved this problem! After starting, press F9, and then click "restore." Then you will need to be patient and start the computer normally will be! Here it helps other people with this problem too.

  • Why some files are locked when scanning

Why some files are locked during scanning. I use avg and scan of the entire computer. can anyone help?
p.s., no other suggestions posted already worked.

    Ref: http://forums.avg.com/au-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=212602

Please be informed that the locked files (files) also have access rights. If you run the command line scanning (or manual scanning of the AVG User Interface), it runs with the rights of the logged-on user. But to access some files (e.g. System Volume Information) you must have the rights SYSTEM (and similar).
AVG scan on demand is executed with SYSTEM rights (under the SYSTEM account).

    • Locked file
The reported file is locked, so cannot be scanned by me. Usually, this means that some files are constantly used by the system (e.g. swap file).

  • 38.2.0

I downloaded the 38.2.0 update it loads my slow email inbox and if I click on anything I get "Thunderbird does not.
    Windows 8

@Gnospen I'd say it's faulty security provided by anti virus programs. The fact that some of them balk at every single update, until they get a welcome message is not a security reinforced in my book. It's the incorrect behavior.

@klmmason there was Thunderbird 17, 24, 31 and 38. You say everyone but V17 crash? I saw nothing in the comments until your last answer about me crashing. Go slowly and do not respond is almost always caused by anti virus programs. AVG is no exception. Your anti virus very probably trying to scan the files in your profile folder while Thunderbird is trying to update their creation to blocks of the file conflicts and slow access. Creation of an exemption for profile records is one way to alleviate the problem. Simply, it stops on the analysis of access to the files in the profile folder. Compaction of your folder of mail on a regular basis can also reduce delays caused by anti virus as the current filews of analysis are smaller.

Anti virus vendors are often difficult to fund one exception, but AVG have instructions see https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en_US & urlname=How-to-exclude-file-folder-or-website-from-AVG-scanning

AVG is not happy, which allows connections secure mail Badger establish you as a man in the hacker community so it can analyze your mail.
Nothing like that to jeopardize your security for a security program called can do a job. How long before a hacker found a hole in AVG and walks right by using security now defective? Security e-mail scanning offers are actually around zero and to create a big gaping hole in your security. Get AVG! So one door back in AVG for the NSA or another agency of national security and the security of your entire is toast, a paradise for pirates

  • I can not download messages from the server - even if the line at the bottom says they are downloaded.

I try to download, a window appears showing AVG scans emails and the line on the bottom left says download 1 x messages, and again, nothing happens. When I go to the server and open web mail, the messages are here and can be read, but will not download to the desktop.

  • Nevertheless, Firefox will not open on my computer account, but on others.

I had installed the new firefox 28, after which everything seemed good. But when later I turned on my computer, firefox does not open despite the number of times I clicked on it. I tried 'security mode' as well. Or open anything and does not appear in the Task Manager. However, the options of firefox opens. But there is nothing useful there.
Firefox works on other computer accounts, just not mine.
I rebooted the computer several times and I tried to uninstall and install. Nothing.
And nothing came on an AVG scan.
    Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.
