Avoiding the Dupliacte ID LUN during the migration of SAN

Hi all!

My team and I intend to do a migration of an IBM ESS 800 SAN to an IBM DS5300 for our VMWare environment.  We plan to start a new LUN on the 5300 which are assigned to the ESX host with the number 0 and back in order from there.  Do I need to worry if the ESX host already recognize the LUNS defined on the 800 as a beginner to 0?  We have nearly 80 production virtual machines in the environment and I don't want to cause problems for them when we give the new LUNS to the environment.

Thank you!

Not at all...

The same LUN ID would be then presented by another "target" which would add a new volume of vmhba0:C0:Tx:L0...

Actually, it's the question - if we leave the decision of development which approach to take:

-make all the shares of dynamics of buttons and everything for example plsql anonymous to be driven by the dynamic action procedures of instead of making procedures plsql after send this page

    - or do the submission page process (pre era dyn-action method apex) and no dynamic action with plsql code button

    The apex is basically PL/SQL.

So in order to generate a page of Apex, PL/SQL code should be run. To update a report region, code PL/SQL must be executed. To deal with the elements on a web page to the update/insert/delete of data in the database, PL/SQL code must be executed. Etc.

This code can be executed in 2 ways.

Submit the entire page, the flow of the Apex engine. He built a whole new page. This page is sent to the browser to replace the content of the existing window and make any new content in this browser window.

Use Ajax (Javascript calls) to call the flow of the Apex (aka action/process dynamics) engine. It creates a response (XML, HTML, JSON, etc.). This response is returned, and Javascript is used to treat this response and update objects (e.g. add/update / refresh in the DOM) of the page.

The two ways are necessary as

    (a) we want to send a new page to the web browser sometimes

    (b) you want to update an existing web page in the web browser by moments

So it is not a matter of choice in one direction. The two are concerned. Both are needed to create Web 2.0 with rich and interactive interfaces type applications.

I'm just afraid after accidentally 2 similar submit deals plsql firing - dynamic action and one in present it after Treaty.

It's a question of developer and development life cycle.

It comes down to knowledge. Find out what are the differences between the page layouts and dynamic actions. And when to use one that to achieve the goal at hand.

Lets say that we have to report slow query and report region which takes time to load. But this report is not required for the end user and it could continue by pressing the buttons during the loading of that specific region is always.

Press the buttons to do what? And why the user would click the buttons when the report data are not yet ready for display?

The Javascript engine doesn't have a thread model Posix/Windows type.  By default, its calls are non-blocking and use events. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Guide/EventLoop for more details.

This isn't exactly a walk in the Park to treatment systems simultaneous good design. And it's true in Javascript too.

  • iPhoto to the Migration of the Photo

I recently spent hours doing several photo books in iPhoto 6.0.6 v. (322).  When I tried to buy the books and received their approval, I received the following message: "the possibility of ordering books, cards, calendars and prints is no longer supported in this version.  Upgrade for OS X to order Photos. »

Is it possible to export and save the photo books before you migrate to pictures?  I'm afraid I'll lose the books pictures during the migration process.

    Thank you!

The books are simply database entries in iPhoto - you can't save them separate from the entire library 9and that you should never go without a good current backup

Unless something goes wrong, you will not lose the books or else by the upgrade to Photos – however photo books are often much different than iPhoto books and you may not be satisfied with what is available after the upgrade - backup and upgrade, and if you don't like not the results that you can order atPrestoPhoto iPhoto books

  • iMac frozen by using the migration wizard

Hi, I tried to use the Migration Wizard to transfer my settings my iMac to a MacBook Pro new etc.  The transfer failed, and now my iMac froze with transferring your screen information, suggesting it will update your system settings.  On that note, it has been frozen for several hours.  I tried to force quit but it sounds right.  I also tried turning it off, but when I turn on the power, even once, it returns the same screen.

    Anyone have any suggestions. ?

By 'frozen' do you mean that you cannot move the cursor?

If two Macs are connected wireless, it can take several hours, even days, finish the Migration Wizard. If you can't wait that long, you can force the Mac does not close in holding the power button down for several seconds. Then, connect the Mac to another using Ethernet cables and if necessary appropriate adapters and start the migration. You can connect to each other directly, or through a router. A wired connection to avoid the vagaries of wireless communication.

  • After the migration of Macintosh HD lost + found folder appears

I did a migration from my old Macbook Pro and iMac 27 inches today. After migration was finished appeared several folders in the Macintosh HD, which normally are not there:

    -Record Office (empty)

    -var (from old Mac)

    -lost + (found 3 x ± 5 GB of files iNode)

I found the first two I could delete safely, but I don't know if I can do it with the ' lost + found ' folder. Searching the Internet I found out that this folder is probably created because of a hard disk crash. And a few months ago, I had a hard drive problem, because I accidentally turn off my Macbook Pro in the new update OS X and I had to fix my hard drive with diskutility. So I think that during the migration of this folder was also transferred to my new iMac. Does anyone know more about this topic and I can remove this folder safely? Help would be very appreciated. Thank you.

You can delete the folder. It can contain corrupted files, from which useful data can rarely, if ever, be retrieved.

  • Is the Migration Wizard write in any newspaper?

When you migrate the data, is the migration wizard save anywhere (the console log) how it happened and whether or not it was successful? I did a migration during the night operation, and when I arrived, the computer was switched off (power off). I need to know if she did it after the migration was finished, or if the migration never finished. Leave a newspaper? I can't find.

    Hi Michael,

I understand that you're looking to verify the successful migration of your information after installing OS X 10.11 on your Mac. Migration Assistant does, indeed, save the information and, to system.log (easily accessible through the utility of Console in/Applications/Utilities) as opposed to its own log file.

In the Console utility, you can use the search box in the top right to search for "Migration Wizard" (without the quotes) to show only messages from Migration Wizard. If you don't see anything definitive, by this means, search for "systemmigrationd" (again, without the quotes) to search for any failure on the one hand the process itself.

  • Problem of Popup ADF on the migration of jDev 11-jDev 12.1.3

During the migration from the previous (11.1.2.4) version for 12.1.3 we encountered a problem with pop - up generated by ADF (such as LOV, research, etc.).  Their location in the long term has become unpredictable. For the most part they are slipped down a bit, creating a vertical scrolling of the page.

Popups generated manually and invoked via showPopupBehavior works very well.

The problem occurs in all browsers.

Maybe there is a new way of conceiving the popups by default to the new ADF?...

All suggestions will be useful. Thank you.

    Hello

When you set width? You must define data lov vo is coming and the value of width field affects the table inside popup, not the width of the dialog box

BdW you can try this CSS

    AF | {inputListOfValues}

    -tr-stretch-search-dialogue: true;

    }

  • Problems with Creative Cloud Desktop on the migration of the old MacbookPro to new MacbookPro

It is not a question but more my recent experiences with migrating from an old (mid-2010 MacbookPro 17 ") to a new MacbookPro (mid-2015) and the consequences regarding the CC Apps.

I didn't know that he would have problems with creative cloud during the migration process (or I don't think there should be), but clearly there is something about how Adobe Connect all of the CC following your computer as part of the license agreement which means that you cannot migrate right and it will be honky dory (that's Aussie for you beauty or top notch or large if you) prefer) just like any other piece of software on my laptop that comes with a software "KEY" to the license.  Every other piece of software migrated perfectly and works perfectly without having to reenter the KEYS so he beat me that Adobe makes it so damned awkward... but anyway... it is what it is.  The fact that the license agreement allows you to have the software installed on 2 machines is another reason it intrigues me that you cannot migrate seamlessly.

What alerted me on an issue after that migration was that Desktop CC crashed suddenly on a cold start.  So I looked at these forums and found a thread that explains how to remove Desktop CC and reinstall.  It worked but later in the day after a reboot it CC Desktop crashed again.  Put it back, once again failed.  Discovered that the preferences Office CC file has not been deleted by the CC Office uninstall App manually deleted, empty the trash, rebooted, reinstalled and it worked.  Next reboot, it crashed it again.  What the...

Now I'm about to throw the laptop out the window, but it became clear that I had to remove every single application under the CC and then clearing debris NOT removed by uninstall of applications. It became a nightmare after nearly 6 hours of effort.

From 23:00 last night I gave her one last shot.  Uninstalling, cleaning of CC tool, kill everything, throw it in the trash, reboot and reinstall.  Sam with my fingers crossed and poof, it just.  Winner winner chicken dinner.  Click on install both applications LI and PS, then set the computer laptop do not sleep and stop at the bed.  In the morning, she did, and after a reboot, everything is good.  SO FAR.

Hope this might help someone else who is having similar levels of grief.

    Chris

Thank you John, but I already figured that out as you would have assumed my post.  Also, I've marked as supposed message answer because I've sung on the first sentence was that it was more a comment for the benefit of others who experience the same issue.  Not sure how it has changed state is an unanswered question.

  • Re: Creative cloud problem on new Mac after you use the Migration Wizard.

It is a terrible response.  I've migrated three days ago and am still stuck in a never-ending cycle of errors trying to get CC to function on my brand new MacBook pro.

Thanks for your follow-up.  I found myself on an online chat that guided me through a process to solve my problems.  The most common error was on the CC Apps page, where I have been informed a download error, with instructions to contact technical support or to download Creative Cloud.  It seemed that I needed a clean uninstall of CC, but whenever I tried to do, I received the message "CC uninstalled with some errors.  It's frustrating, because I was in need of a clean uninstall to reinstall, but I couldn't get a clean uninstall successfully.

I would add that some best solution from Adobe seems to be necessary for users who migrate between Macs.  I was quite careful to follow the instructions from Apple, including the update of apps installed before the migration.  I was expecting some problems during this migration, but honestly, the only problem I had was with Adobe CC.

In case this is useful with future users, here are the instructions of Nirvan in Adobe support that finally solved my problems:

Mudassir: Close the creative Cloud Desktop application.

Mudassir: Please open a Finder window, click go > go to folder.

Mudassir:, and then type as ~/Library/Application Support / and press ENTER.

Mudassir:, Please rename the folder Adobe as Adobe_old

Mudassir: Now open the folder search to spend once again, in this type/library/application support / this time and then click OK.

Mudassir: Notice that this time it's just/library and the ~ symbol is not included.

Mudassir: Now, rename new folder Adobe in Adobe_old

Mudassir: Now open the finder window and press it command + shift + U key.

Mudassir: It will open the Utilities folder, then remove the Adobe Application Manager and cloud file Adobe Creative.

Mudassir: Please now open utilities activity monitor.

Mudassir: Then find below process and end them one by one, if they are present:

    Mudassir: 1 cloud creative

    Mudassir: 2 CoreSync

    Mudassir: 3 CCLibrary

    Mudassir: 4 Office Adobe services

    Mudassir: 5 broker IPC Adobe

    Mudassir: 6 demon Adobe Crash

Mudassir: You can complete the AdobeUpdateDeamon as well.

John McGrann: Is not smoking. I should try to force quit?

Mudassir: Yes, you can try to force quit.

Mudassir: If it does not, please ignore it. After awhile, it will automatically timeout.

Mudassir: After that, please download and install Creative Cloud Desktop application using the link below:

    Mudassir: http://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud/

    Mudassir: Please click on applications.

Mudassir: Also, you can remove the folders that we have renamed as Adobe_old under the places below:

    Mudassir: 1. ~/Library/Application Support /.

    Mudassir: 2 / Library/Application Support /.

Thanks for your follow-up, if - I appreciate it.
