    Hello

You may need to install the hotfix on the computer, check out the link below: error message when you try to access an SD card on a Windows XP computer that has a particular combination of SD host controller and SD card: "the disk in drive is not formatted": http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970685

  • Satellite X 200: Cannot write to the memory card error message

    Hello

Can help you, I have a X 200 with XP Professional installed I continue to receive errors saying "the memory could not be wrtitten" I returned the machine to your service center, but they said that they could not work on the machine, unless Vista was reinstalled. What can I do?

It is an error often caused by an application tries to use memory assigned to another program. In some rare cases, this can be a problem material, but really really rare.

What you can try first is to install all the latest windows updates and check if you have all the newer driver versions. To do this, go to Toshiba European download page.

If it does not, well, you can reinstall Win XP.
But, when the pop-up message? A certain program? If so, try to uninstall it and see if the message has disappeared.

Whenever I start the laptop black screen appears with the hanger with message * Flash card (not answer). * After some time it goes without saying. The date of installation/upgrades of this software is on March 7, 2007.

    Hey,.

Hmm... It seems that the problem is related to Toshiba Flash Cards as they appear if you press a FN key... In other words, they control the function FN key.

You should check the site Web of Toshiba. You can find this tool then you should try to reinstall. So delete the current version, restart the computer and install the latest version of the Flash Cards Support utility.

  • error message "memory card error" with a SD card on C5180

Photosmart C5180 displays 'memory card error' when SanDisk SDHC inserted.  (The map is not damaged, it is new & working behind closed doors).  I was not successful in finding answers on the HP site.  Any help most appreciated.  Thank you very much.

Looking at the specifications, I see memory 'High Capacity' (SDHC) is NOT supported on the device:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00701803

I also checked with our group in San Diego - SDHC is not supported.

  • Problems pictures copies of Flash memory card and USB drive under Vista 64 files

Hi, when I insert a flash memory card (SanDisk 8 GB SDHC or SanDisk 2 GB Compact Flash) either by inserting the card into a card reader, AutoPlay comes on but the image transfer stops after a few images have been copied to any program (Windows, Picasa, etc.). I chose to copy the files. Same experience when I connect the camera with the memory card in the camera using the USB cable to the PC. I tried to re - format camera memory cards, but it has no effect.
Also, I feel the same when I try to copy from a USB flash drive (the drive is basic, not a U3 key).
I have a HP Pavilion m9400t Elite desktop running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I own this desktop computer for a year and I've always had this problem. I have no problem using these flash memory cards and a USB drive on my old XP PC or an Apple Mac Book. For what I can tell, my Vista desktop is set for automatic windows and updates from HP. Everything about the plan of updating drivers, etc., which would solve this problem would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi Srini,

one) that you get specific error messages when images are arrested to copy?

    (b) what is the file format of the pictures\files that are not copied? What images are copied with success?

To narrow the problem, please follow the steps mentioned below:

O copy the pictures manually on the flash memory card Office.

O connect the flash memory card\ camera to the back of the computer (for a different USB (port universal serial bus) and try to copy the pictures\files.)

O check if the photos are in double version:

Windows detects your newest pictures and doesn't matter the duplicate versions of the old photos that you've already copied to your computer

Well, I hope that he really isn't a 12MP resolution restriction as my camera is 16.1 MP...

Anyway, I downloaded all the images on the SD card on my MacBook Pro (there is no problem reading them) and then re-formatted the card.  After doing this, the card seems to read OK based on some images of the trial.  I guess we'll know for sure once that I load the card again and try to read it, but for now we'll call this one resolved.

    Hi @Bunters73,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you found the error, "memory card error. Please remove the memory card. "With your printer Photosmart HP 5520. I'm happy to help you!

Please try an another hard reset, as described in this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

Then I would try to make sure that the firmware in the printer is up-to-date. Get updates of the printer.

If this does not resolve your problem, then the printer may need to be repaired / replaced. Please contact HPtelephone support for further assistance. • Flash memory card data verification, how to compare folders/files in Labview?

Hi, I need to check and verify the data that is stored in a Flash memory card, sience I got a good card Flash contant, I hv to write a VI to check suspected bad Flash card data against Flash memory good data card, I use the output folder list folder list function is compared with the data of constant string that contains the name of folder and files (since I know the content good map).

The range of the file IO has a function to perform an MD5 on a file.  If you want to detect the validity of a set of files, what happens if you had a list of files and md5s and then conducted an audit to see if all the files have the MD5 expected.  Of course, you will need to take a line of well known file-based and MD5s.

    Hello

You can try to repair the system.
    Switch on and press F8,
Now, you will see the advanced boot options:
Here you can choose the option: last known good configuration

If this option does not help, restart the device and press F8 again.
Choose the first option: fix my computer
Here, you can choose between different options.
You can enable Win 7 to find the problems and fix automatically or you will use the Toshiba HDD recovery option to restore the entire system.

  • format memory card error

My operating system is Windows Xp. When I format my memory card, they say that windows could not complete the format, what is the solution for this?

    Hi naveenmothe89,

Welcome to Microsoft communities. According to the description of the problem, you are not able to format the memory card.

    ·         You get the error message?

    (a) click Start and select Control Panel.

    (b) click on Administrative Tools and then click computer management.

    (c) click on disk management and find the device in the viewer of the reader.

    (d) right click on the drive and select format.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need more assistance.

    Thank you.
