Backup of files on a CD is not
In preparation for the upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, I tried (firs time) to make a backup of files on a CD. After a time, I received the following message: "the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error (0x8007045D)."
What is the problem and how to fix it?
Hello renasence.
The backup may fail if the computer cannot format the drive CD/DVD that you try to back up the files on.
I suggest that you try to use a different device such as a flash drive and try to perform the backup. If still fails to perform the backup, I suggest that you try the steps in the article to resolve this issue.
Error message when you try to perform a full backup on a Windows Vista-based computer: "the application cannot be performed because of an i/o device error."

switch after the hot backup log file
Hello world
Why should we change log file after the end of the backup command that is to say, after the end of the backup hot?
Why we should take a backup control files to database level, but not through operating system level that is to say, order cp?Why we should take a backup control files to database level, but not through operating system level that is to say, order cp?
If you're doing a cold backup, this is where you use cp.
But when the database is in place, controlfile is used and it is continuing to change the oracle process. Now the question is how to get the consistent image of the controlfile, here's where you their support at the database level (for example backup controlfile). When you do that level database, a snapshot file is created time and she is saved.

Disk utility does not not what Time Machine backup connected / file Vault question?
Hi all
I'm on Mac OSX El Capitan 10.11.3 (15 d 21) on a Macbook Pro 8.2 (early 2011)
Previously, when File Vault was not activated I've been able to backup on my external drive for Time Machine (1 TB store Transcend jet) and the drive was visible when opening disk utility no problem...
Now since I have encrypted my first Macintosh HD using File Vault, my disk utility program will not load when my Time Machine (unencrypted) external backup disk is connected, and I can not back up by using the application Time Machine (the player is simply not visible).
When my external drive for Time Machine is not connected, my disk utility opens very well and I can see my Macintosh HD all external USB drives.
I tried to re-boot, I tried to disconnect all external devices, I tried to connect the Time Machine drive with two USB ports and I tried to open the first disk utility, and then connect the external drive for Time Machine without success.
Anyone else have experience with this problem or something similar? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!
Connect your Time Machine backup disk
Open a Terminal
Diskutil type: list

Why my system does not restore backup my files as he said he did?
Last weekend, my computer died a kernel error, but finally I managed to get the system restore... About half an hour in this she asked if I would backup my files, I got an external hard drive so I clicked 'Yes'
After FOUR hours, he had managed a massive 18%, and I was sick of it. I thought "it is saved all the stuff that are a huge pain in the rear to get back, we'll just do" so I cancelled.
Now I have time to copy all my files to my gf model (mine is now in the shop who have experienced failure of the drive terminal for the second time in less than 3 years) so I plug in there and nothing.
Nothing.
There is a folder that says it's the backup for that date files but it is empty. I go to the control panel to show hidden files and nothing. What he did for four hours? Where all these files I really need?
Hello
System Restore is different to the backup of your data files
and the system restore is different for the system recovery
System Restore puts your computer in time to previous windows settings
recovery of the system is reinstalled vista, back to the way you bought
If you have been back up your data as part of the procedure of restoration of manufacturers computer back to factory settings, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the computer on your missing data
Some manufacturers, we find a backup of the data as part of their recovery process
It's their recovery process not microsofts

Backup files Vista - "Windows could not find any backup sets [file path]."
I have a Vista computer. The hard drive broke so until I replaced it I backed up all the files on the computer to another computer running Windows 7. I did it in the backup and Restore Center. I made a backup of files, not a full backup of the system (I've seen the full backup of the system mentioned in other posts, but that was not an option... maybe which is only available on Vista Premium). In any case, I replaced the hard drive and then try to restore the files, but I get the message "Windows could not find any backup sets [file path]." Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
Here is an article on the restore procedure:http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right. It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.
Here is an article on the advanced use of restoration (during normal restore does not work):http://www.mayankraichura.com/post/2009/08/06/Avdvanced-Restore-via-Windows-Vista-Backup-and-Restore-Center.aspx.

I don't know if this will help, but it does not provide much information about the process (when it works). I hope you find any error or discrepancy in your procedure and it will clear up and allow you to restore.

I had to uninstall iTunes a few months ago and successfully re-installed, but part of my music was missing. At one point, following the instructions on a thread on the forums Apple or Microsoft, I saved my music library on the desktop. Since then, I do not have a library of music on the desktop file. In my looooooong hours trying to fix things, I do not know if I deleted it or what.
Now, I get the message:
"Backup has encountered a problem during backup of the C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\music file. Error: (System does not find the specified path. (0 x 8007003)) "whenever I have backup my computer.
As I understand it, that does not affect really any other files, they rely on the spot (I think), but
HOW CAN I GET RID OF THIS MESSAGE? or what is the cause? Of course, I could use help in simple English, step by step, as I'm not very techno...
Thank you!!!
Try to be...

Hi serene,
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
As indicated by the error, this problem appears, when these files/libraries that are saved automatically are not present on your computer. I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it can help solve the problem.
- Create missing files that are listed in the error message.
- Exclude files from the files to backup in the backup settings and then include these files in their original location. To exclude folders in other communities and to include these files in the original location, follow these steps:
- In Control Panel, open backup and restore.
- In the section back up , click change settings.
- In the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.
- In the dialog box that you want to save , click Let me choose, and then click Next.
- Expand data files,
library, expand additional locations, and then click to clear the check boxes folder AppData, Contactsand Research . - Expand computers, expand the element of your system drive (for example, expand Local disk (c)), expand users,
- Click Next, and then click Save settings and exit.
- Backup and restore, click back up now to perform a new backup. The backup operation must complete without errors.
If the problem persists, I suggest you follow the steps in the following article for troubleshooting backup problems.

Auto and manual backup of files fails
10/19, I deleted my backup of the computer and immediately ran another backup of the computer. My next regular automatic backup has not then I tried a manual backup of the files that do not have. 10/27, I ran another computer backup, but my automatic backup of files and manual tests have failed. How can I fix it?
Hello
Thanks for asking!
If I understand correctly, you are unable to perform the backup.
1. who is the operating system installed on your system?
2. have there been recent changes to the system before the show?
3. What is the exact error message when you arrive?
4. on what media you are trying to backup?
Follow the link and follow the steps provided by John R and perform the operation. Check if it helps.

total size of the files of Windows 7 does not match the size of partition
In the D: partition
total space: 265 GB free space: 59.1 GB
There is only one visible folder: Daisy, size: 87.4 GB from the Explorer
Other records hidden three: info Volume system, c:\Windows\Msdownld.tmp, $RECYCLE. BIN takes up almost no space
Of course free space does not match the file size.
Do not partition system, no problem to update windows and restoration, sleep or page file.
Some strange things:
1. with the help of file size 3.4 correctly see the size of the file
Daisy file occupies 206GB
Once I copied the whole file to the other partition Daisy
and the result is the record more like 2xxGB
so I guess that 206GB is the right size
/////////////////////////////////
may be ignored.
2 folder being read-only Daisy
Even uncheck or untick read only box in the properties of the folder does no effect
After loading, it still shows read only
3. 'read only' does not work
2, daisy file is read only
but I managed to delete files inside
////////////////////////////////
////////////////////////////////
Is it a mistake to folder structure?
It's a newly installed windows, so I guess that windows is clean
Hope to see the solution and identify the problem
Thank you very much
OK, based on your new information, the error is that Daisy is 206 GB but Windows Explorer reports it as 87GB.
No other information seems more relevant.
Ideas-
1 run ChkDsk on the drive - [first of all, make sure you have a backup of Daisy or make a new backup always] in Windows Explorer, right-click on the drive & select Properties, then the Tools tab, then click the check now button, turn off the option to make repairs in first to see if there are errors or not before making any decision as repairs can delete or corrupt files which are reported in the file allocation table.
2. find another utility that measures the size of record to help you track down all the difference here. TreeSize Free will be repeated.
I do not understand your comment "later, I found the reason why I can't locate the"office"is the language of auto change." It's in Chinese at first but watch the 'bureau' cmd"that this had not been mentioned before.
