backup on HP Pavilion 2213sa g6 will not accomplish?

I get a message appears in the task bar in which the solve pc issue, it has an arrow display the hidden icons.  In the box has a small white flag.

It is said: check the backup space (important)

The drive that your backup are saved has insufficient free space

So when I try to do it manually, it also does not end.  There is no 19,80 GB of space in the separate drive D: for backup recovery, but it seems to use 2.41 GB then does not end only

It also appears when you access the drive via my computer when is said 2.41 GB of free space available.

I installed windows 8.1 and it had the same problem with windows 8

Any ideas to solve the problem would be more useful as sound never worked the first time of use.

Hello

You really need something outside the C partition on which save your backups.

You're right: CDs and DVDs is not suitable for daily or weekly backups.  We could still consider store some photos or personal files on them; the capacity of a CD or even DVD is so limited that it is not worth or expensive for many more tiles or data that takes a lot of space.  These devices are also very slow to store or retrieve data.

Part of the point is to save backups off the disk on which they are already available now.  Most backup programs will fight the idea of putting backups in the same place where the original files - it's against intuitive in the process.

Easy solution

USB flash drives come in all sizes, both in size and capacity.  It is true that the greater capacity of the disks are more expensive to purchase.  You must also be prepared to sacrifice a USB port for backup if you want this player be available all the time, for example, to back up when you're not connected to the computer or when you entered away from the computer for a while.

You can plug in a USB key and leave most of the time.  Don't buy from quality and not price.

You can buy a disc USB external 1 TB (in the USA) for about $100 (more or less) depending on the brand.  Depending on the amount of data you save, it might be enough space for several weeks or even months of backups.

USB 3.0 drives (flash and external) can cost a little more than 2 USB drives - they are faster.    Your system provides two USB 3.0 ports (probably on the side left looking at the side of the laptop).  Look for the symbol:

    Ok.

It just means that the motherboard does not work with the video card. You could try to return as incompatible video card and opting for ATI Radeon model for better compatibility.

  • HP dv4-1123us Pavilion Media Card will not read

I have a Pavilion dv4-1123us who will not read a 16 GB SDHC media. He reads a xD 512 MB and 2 GB.

    What's wrong?

I wanted to let you know that what you did was good.  I invited a friend of mine who is quite in computer problems.  He checked that the drivers you have installed were correct. Soon, he realized he had a problem with my Photo Picasa 3 program. There google something like Picasa won't read the card camera and found that there was an automatic upgrade a few days ago (when I started having the problem) that created this problem.

    Hey Shannon3363,

I'm very sorry to hear that you are having problems of this kind out of the box. The first option, I'd watch is an Exchange. If this is not a viable option, you can reset the operating system. This is a very simple process.

    1. prior to turn on/off the laptop, press in and hold the escape key

    2. press the power button as usual to start and hold down ESC until you see the Menu Start Up

    3. on the Start Menu, press F11 to go in Recovery Manager

    4. choose your keyboard

    5. click on troubleshoot

    6. click on reset your PC

    7. select just delete my files

Leave about 30-45 minutes for the reset is complete. If you're still having problems with this load Windows normally, please let me know. Once again I aplogize for the inconvenience. Depending on where you have, there could be several reasons so that he can behave in this way. If you've got it to a brick and mortar store, technicians will provide implementation services and anything can happen during this period. I'll keep an eye out for your answer!

  • HP Pavilion dv5z-1200 will not start, flashing LEDs

LEDs keep blinking once every 4-5 seconds, computer does not start even in the BIOS.  Out of warranty.  The table shows the CPU is not functional.  After the hard reset several times, after the failure of the CMOS, I reinstalled the memory modules, nothing helps.  I opened the darn thing, reinstall the CPU, cleaned the existing thermal paste and replaced with a high thermal conductivity, one and clean thermal gel pads ugly that supposedly provide a cooling the GPU.  All this for nothing.

Should I assume by now that the CPU is fried, or is there a chance to distance the BIOS EPROM chip is toast and cause all this?  Someone has experience in this sense, is the flashing model good to locate the faulty component?  All ready to offer their advice Jan 11-12 HP Expert?  I replaced a BIOS chip in an another HP Pavilion of last spring, so it wouldn't be a problem.  Don't want to invest all efforts - and paste - for nothing.

In any case, this is / was my last HP laptop ever.  Between a ze4547 and this dv5z, I got so of many hardware problems, I prefer to buy netbooks cheap every two years than spend a zillion things expensive, shiny, flashy with abject genius inside.

    Thanks in advance to anyone!

Taking up this issue and reported a permanent fix (i.e., more than 5 months).  Yet once, the defect could not solder in the graphics chip ATI Radeon (Northbridge).

Chip HP ships this with a simple gel pad main Board between the radiator and the graphics, which after > 1 year of running hot develops inclusions of air and turns of conductor of heat a heat insulator.  Due to the high temperature resistance, brazing under the chip will slowly oxidize anr / or crystallize and develop cracks and inclusions of oxide.  The only solution in addition to buying a new card of mother is reinvest with a heat gun, or using a special station of redistribution and the improvement of heat transfer to the heatsink.

Here's what the complete repair consists of:

-Disassemble the laptop according to the instructions in the maintenance manual; Make sure that keep track of where each screw came from

-Remove the heat sink fan and clean the end inside of the metal fins (simply by blowing canned air will not work)

-cut a ~ 1 mm of thickness copper thick to the exact dimensions of the cushion gel covering the ATI Radeon chip and ensure its two surfaces are clear of any oxide

-Clean the CPU and the Radeon perfectly cooling surfaces using 92% isopropyl alcohol; in a similar way to wipe the corresponding surfaces of the shiny heatsink

-dissolve welding flow or Rosin in a few mL of 92% + isopropanol

-pour a few drops of this solution of rosin under the chip Radeon on all 4 sides; Rosin ensures that reinvest the chip will recreate connections free of oxide with the main card; use a pipette or a pair of tweezers for this and not to spill the solution outside the area of interest

-make a mask cardboard lined with aluminum for the entire main Board having a place of opening in the Center exactly as big as the Radeon chip; Make sure that the coating of aluminum foil extends to the lower part of the mask through the operning square to protect the card against high temperatures. use this youtube video as a guide (minute 06:50)

-heat gun to regular heat on 'Medium' (or 'Low' if only two power settings); taking the mask in place immediately on top of the Radeon chip using a tool metal long (so you do not burn your fingers), slowly heat by lowering the gun hot air for the duration of a minute

-maintain the hot graphics chip for about 30 seconds into the air gun hot about 1-2 inches above the chip. Make sure that the mask with double foil is aligned with the chip to avoid burning its below or other components of the motherboard; consider wearing a thermal glove or leather on the hand that holds the mask down with this tool metal long

-slowly raise the heat gun on the time of ~ 30 seconds and then remove the mask and let the chip and the main map to cool for about 1-2 minutes

-It is best to test repair before reassembly of the computer; to do this, connect the power button, display, cooling fan, a single chip of RAM and a charged battery to the main card and turn on the laptop the bone bare; See the HP logo on the screen for a success to reinvest

-use of money from high-quality thermal compound (for example, Arctic Silver 5) and coat the surfaces of cooling of the CPU and Radeon chip, as well as the corresponding surfaces on the heatsink of heat and the puck in copper, with one layer, thin and uniform; Wipe all spilled; Place the wedge of copper on the graphics chip and carefully assemble the heat sink; don't forget to plug the fan on the main card

-Finally, back up the phone by following the steps for disassembly in reverse order; do not mix the screws, like using a long screw where it was not may cause a short circuit or cracks in the main map

-Use of SpeedFan to monitor the performance of you cooling system in the processor; periodically blow out or spend vacuuming of dust between the cooling fins.

    Good luck to lovers!

Pavillion G6 my husband will not start. What happened: returned to the computer after being away for a while, shook the wake up the mouse and the screen «has exploded in many colors and motion pixels» Screen went black, then a screen "do you want to start in safe mode" popped up. He tried a start-up without danger, but he failed and gave him a Bios Application error 501. He tried to restart the computer, but it crashes on the 'Starting Windows' screen with 4 color icon.

    I have:

Removed the battery and tried to restart. Not good.

Has taken the hard disk and and reinstalled it. Ditto.

Tried to boot mode safe, before and after the following below. "Loading files" still stuck on Windows\System32\drivers\CLASSPNP. SYS

Burned and ran a repair disc. Took 4 hours and the program ran at the end when I was asked to reboot. Computer hooked on "Starting Windows" screen. (I left this screen function for more than 5 hours without this change.)

Ran the program System Repair twice, same results.

Start of Tests ran. After self-test of the main hard drive, hard drive SMART and verification Test of memory system (passed 100%)

Tried to restore the BIOS using Windows + B and power with several attempts. Button Power LED stays on, about 20 seconds later a small LED on the "caps lock" key flashes white twice. Black screen and nothing happens after 5 minutes. He raised his eyes and 2 flashes is supposed to be the corruption of the BIOS.

Error log lists these: quick 03F0 303, 501 error and error of hard disk 1.

    Mahalo in advance!

Well, nothing worked and I did not attempt to remove the HD and turn it on again. Husband returned to a comp sci student who managed to get some info on the HD, but said that the HD was shot.

Good thing is that I got a new Asus laptop and put my old computer to my dear husband. So, I guess that the problem is solved!  Thanks for your help.

  • HP Pavilion a6552f Desktop will not start - almost tried everything

I have no idea of what happened, I wasn't home when this thing is dead.

When I left the machine was not anything... I had a 2.5 drive "in a case connected to the usb with usb power. I was told that my diet was probably too short for my video card, but I used it for over a year without problem, and indeed, while this machine is always on, I rarely use it. I have a laptop.

Came out for a few hours, come home and the machine was off and wouldn't start.

    symptoms...

    1) press the button, nothing happens

    (2) has a few breakdowns on the power supply with no luck

    (3) open cases. When you press the button the cooling fan move half an inch, but that is all...

bought the new PSU... same problem persists.

    (4) tried removing memory, swap sticks...

    (5) went out the cable to the card readers (heard it was a problem)

    (6) checking that everything was sitting

    (7) replaced CMOS battery

All the foregoing and he hehaves the same way... Press ON... fan turns half an inch, and that's all. Desktop will not be powered.

I would really appreciate any other suggestions. Maybe the jury is dead?

    Thank you

I would recommend the procedure. Try to re-seating CPU if you are able to do. Disconnect all components as ODD, HDD, add on cards and try to power system. If the problem remains the same, I am convinced that MB was defective. If MB will run, try to connect the components one by one to determine which one is causing the problem. Good luck.

  • Windows Update will not accomplish

I can't get Windows Update (KB2419632) is completed successfully.  When I click on the yellow shield in the system tray, I get no error message, but when the system restarts, the yellow shield is back in the system tray.  I let restart probably 10 to 12 times, but will not always all the update.  Also I tried to download the update directly from the Microsoft Web site with the same result.

Any ideas how I can get this update at the end?

You have downloaded already manually updated, registeredand then tried to install it or you choose run rather then save it?

If you chose the second method, or even if you chose the first, suggest you download a new copy and Save it -update security for Windows XP (KB2419632)
Once the download is complete, configure XP to start in the start state in minimum mode, then unplug the computer of internet connection, it is for now and restart.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a clean boot state

    After the reboot to clean boot state, run KB2419632 (WindowsXP-KB2419632 - x 86 - ENU.exe).
Restart the system for same clean boot state.
Then Undo the Clean boot steps and restart in normal Windows mode.
You can reconnect the computer to the network/internet connection now.

    Hi @Dontworry,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6500 CTO Entertainment Notebook and questions with press < F1 > to < F2 > for the installer to start. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. In this way, it will look at the hardware installed on your laptop.

If it's not a help to any first start Notepad hold b and Windows key. Just keep holding it. Once your nothing that happens, restart the laptop. This should restore the last configuration of the BIOS.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

Good evening, I have a top of Office Pavilion with Windows 7 as operating system. After trying to Flash the BIOS, I got a BSOD and after trying to restart all I get is a beep. Then, I tried to replace the processer always the same thing. Then I tried the video card but still the same thing. I know that someone ther has the answer to my problem.  Thank you, Jerry

I see this which and from which it came.  HP uses many variations of the motherboard on the name of M2N78 - LA and the BIOS are not interchangeable.  I'm not competent enough to say which ones is simply.  Maybe a guru HP will pop and troubleshoot.  I think that this motherboard can be roasted, however.  There are a few methods of recovery that may or may not work on this.  You can by looking at the motherboard chips what BIOS installed this card?  You may find value in this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Lockups-Freezes-Hangs/How-to-Flash-BIOS-if-you-cannot-start-Windows/td-p/436381

HP Pavilion DV6000 won't start correctly?

I have a HP Pavilion DV6000 that gets regular use. Usually I just put it in hibernation when I go to bed, and I reboot once a week or more. Toda I used my Google Chrome and I clicked on a link that a friend had posted. It was not a pirate station, it was a legitimate link. I have brought me to a Web site where I clicked on "Send feedback" in an attempt to respond to messages that my friend had posted on the Web site. I saw a few windows will happen, but they are all closed. My HP immediately frozen, thawed if necessary, froze again and etc. I used the power button to turn it off. When I tried to turn it back on, the screen froze on the Windows logo when starting the system. I turn it off, he turned back and told the system to check for errors. After wIting about ten minutes, he asked me if I wanted to do a full restore to an earlier date where the system had worked properly. After a twenty minute wait for a process that has cost take only a few minutes, I clicked on cancel, but the computer says that the process cannot be canceled. So I rebooted the system and done the same thing. This time when I clicked on cancel, the computer froze. My fn key keyboard that I often have to rely on if I want to use one of the buttons f figure. I watched a video on the operation of a recovery of the system that says to press f11 when arrives a secod address System Recovery. I tried just hit f11 for a minute and tried to hold the fn key while pressing f11 for a minute, but nothing happened. I have a HP Pavilion DV6.

It seems that the hard drive may have failed. Enter the BIOS by typing/holding the F10 key immediately after switching on the laptop. Use Diagnostics to test your hard drive.
