Backup OS 9.3.1 - new phone OS 9.3.2

Hello

I'm new to this community and I hope that there is someone who can help me.

I took a backup of my old phone (4 s) 9.3.1 iOS. Now I wan't to restore my files/settings/etc on my new phone (SE), but of course it runs OS 9.3.2.

If I always get an error that the file is "not compatible or damaged. The old phone has disappeared, so I can't restore it more.

Decommissioning is not possible, since Apple is no longer siging 9.3.1.

Thanks in advance

David

I have not seen this message before (no help for you).

I have restored my information from a backup of my old iPhone 5 to my new iPhone SE. The backup has been on iTunes. I remember correctly, both phones running the latest version of iOS.

If your backup is corrupt, I don't know of a way to recover the old data (again, no help for you).

Are you trying to access the backup during the initial installation or you have already install the new phone? If you already have the first installation, refer to the instructions below to transfer content from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to a new device - Apple Support

To transfer a backup on a device, you have already configured, you need to clear the device: tap Settings > General > reset > erase all content and settings. This erases all the data that is currently on your device. After you erased, your device will restart and you will see the screen of 'Hello '. Now, you can transfer a backup of your device.

  • Why set up new phone replaces old backup

I'm really confused about the 'proper' method to restore the backup to the new phone.

    • iPhone 6 is damaged
    • buy iphone 5 and plug it into itunes
    • try to restore the backup (Aug6) to the iphone 5
    • error message - iphone5 needs updates. said to set up as a new phone.
    • set up as a new phone and create backup (Aug8) OVERWRITING backup (Aug6)!

So I have a useless backup.

    (1) how could I have done this correctly?

    (2) why is it only 1 backup! Should not be several proofs of dates for backups? I see a lot to choose from, but they are all very old backups... what happened to that Aug6?

    Frustrated and confused

There should be a backup for the old iPhone and the new iPhone that you just set up as new.

The new iPhone you just configure would not overwrite the old backup iPhone.

Don't you see the last backup of the old iPhone?

  • Implementation of a new iPhone 6 s. iCloud backup. My last backup shows gray, under bed «iOS 9.3.1» required Is the new phone that apple sent me by mail is not up to date? Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

I need help with the backup of a new s 6. The backup screen choose watch my last backup in gray. Making it inaccessible and says iOS required 9.3.1. I have set up as a new iPhone and make sure this new phone has iOS 9.3.1, and then try to install the most recent backup?

iOS 9.3.1 just came out recently, so it's quite possible that there is an older version of iOS installed on it.

Set up as a new phone, using the same Apple ID, then update 9.3.1 (settings > general > software update).

After it is updated, restore from your backup.

  • try to put in place the new to iphone on itunes backup with restoration done the previous phone

Try to restore again SE with a backup that I did earlier today with 5, whenever I connect to itunes SE he asks me if I want to set up as a new phone or restore from a backup.  I choose the backup that I did earlier today and go through the whole process.  Some of my apps restore and no voice message.  ITunes recognizes the phone as having been backed up and continues to ask me how I want to configure the phone.  I did the whole process 3 times.  I have a real phone, restarted itunes... What can I do else?

I suggest you all first set your phone as new, and after it is operational connecting to iTunes and then restore the backup. Make sure you have iTunes 12.3.3 on your computer, they are required for the iPhone OS.

Key issue here, what kind of iPhone has your old phone? And what version of the operating system on your computer?

Because of the noise of it, it seems that your computer is now obsolete. It's why he can only get up to a certain version of iTunes. It's a bit silly, but I wasn't expecting my 12yrold computer running windows vista to last very long. So it happened to me, but that's just technological progress.

  • I just got an iPhone 6 and when I plugged in my laptop, he asked if I wanted to restore my new phone. I said yes! But unfortunately chose the wrong backup restore with. Is there a way I can go back to how my phone was before?

I just got an iPhone 6 and when I plugged in my laptop, he asked if I wanted to restore my new phone. I said yes! But unfortunately chose the wrong backup restore with. Is there a way I can go back to how my phone was before?

Yes, you can as long as you understand that you will lose everything that is currently on the phone.

    (1) settings > General > reset > erase content and settings

That will make the iPhone as new.  Then, during the installation process it again once will ask you if you want to restore from an existing backup.  You can then restore the scheduled backup.

  • The cards are transferred to a new phone?

I just improved 6-6s and restored my phone from a backup.  Everything transferred to my new phone except my cards Pay of Apple.  They always appear in my old phone, but not the new.  Is there anyway that I can get them over my 6s? Or am I stuck having to add manually.  Thank you!

    Hello

Cards don't yield - you'll need to add them to the Apple pay separately on your new iPhone (every combination of payment card and the device is assigned an account number single device).

  • Went to my new phone sync and my profile name is incorrect by a letter. Also says that my acct name and pass is incorrect when I try to log in as usual. Help

When you try to sync my new phone android (galaxy S4 to S5 galaxy), my firefox on firefox sync profile name is incorrect by a letter. Instead of kokochako, it reads kokocako. IM concerned because my name and my password is the same that I use to log on to my laptop and my previous smartphones. I can't synchronize my acct or make changes to my profile name. I hit forgot password to reset, but because the email is wrong Im do not receive an email to change. I have not changed my name ever and my password has not been changed in at least 6 months. He repeated my name and pass is incorrect. My account has been hacked or compromised? All my info is still on my laptop, just under the wrong email address, im afraid...

    To answer:
I'm worried because I can log in using my laptop (of course my good profile and password), but when I click on synchronize the name next to the profile icon is incorrect.

What version of Firefox are you running on your labtop?
Also on your labtop when the wrong name appears where you see that name, can you please attach a screenshot? How to make a screenshot of my problem?

To answer your question about the identity or the keystrokes, you can run a malware scan to search your computer for malware. Regarding the identity, the user with the e-mail address that appears under the wrong name can receive your confirmation email to reset your password and may be confused (assuming that the name is the email that does not display properly)

To answer your question how sync works when the next to the profile name icon is incorrect. Can also provide a screenshot of it? What is an email? I don't know which menu you're talking about.

To fix this, you can create a copy of the profile on the laptop, backup and restore Firefox profiles information disconnect the wrong account and add the appropriate account and password.

    How to:

    1. You must disconnect the incorrect account name.
    • Open Firefox with Profile Manager to verify that there are no more than a profile using several profiles
    • Otherwise disconnect the account in the preferences/Options > Sync Menu
    1. Make a copy of the profile with the link above or below
    1. Attach the appropriate account name and synchronize devices or that the account does not have the profile data is in the profile folder. Create a new account with this profile will keep you informed.
