• Backup plan for multiple servers ESX environment

  I'm looking for an automated process that can take pictures of my servers on an hourly basis and directly convert in ESX server.

  I love servewrs under Windows and Linux.

  Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way b/c I am familiar with all VMWare products.

  But my main goal is to have shots at night and put them in ESX waiting to bring them back in line if necessary in a time of the disaster. But they should be powered off and replaced every day.

  The problem is not the tool. VMware Converter is the best tool for conversion, I know, but after hundreds of conversions, we can say that a conversion is not always "click and go".

  You CAN plan, but do not expect a result. PV2 process is possible but must be well thought out. Conversion depends more on the physical machine on the tool you are using.

  Y at - it an official document from Oracle that tells us how to export applications apex command line instead of using the GUI in apex?

  It's simple.  I bought Aperture because iPhoto was not to my needs.  Now Aperture is replaced and the comments there say that Photos doesn't have the tools, I want to be.

  I'm not a professional photographer, but use a DSLR camera and it's easy to take "too many pictures".  An I take a picture, I keep if the quality is OK.  Records, it does not mean that I want to pay extra to save and it certainly does not mean that I want it on every device I own.  I want to use stars, keywords and projects (this function any name is fine with me) to organize my collection.  I don't want to just find a picture by the date it was taken, but of course, it is the most common research.  I want to have pictures with 2 stars or better in smart folders that I share on my various devices.  I use a smart folder for this today.

  I'm upset that the product has lost support.  I saved the libraries that rely on a programme of work to read (I've lost images in a dark form in the 1990s).  I spent money on a product, expecting to own for many years, but may not be able to download it for a new purchase of computer in 1 year.  I'm not yet sold on the cloud, and that's why.

  Apple has stopped the development of Aperture.  You will be able to use Aperture, as long as you have a computer with an Operarting system which is compatible with aperture.  Don't update your Mac to new versions of the system, unless you know for sure that the new system supports the opening. Don't forget to keep a full backup of your Mac with opening and your version of Mac OS X, so you can revert to this version, if you accidentally updated to a version that does not support opening.

  Hi people!

  OK I have been trawling these forums and google for centuries and I think I came with a cracker of a backup plan... but where there are holes I would like someone to point out them.

  Location: Minimal Debian 5 installation... VMWare Server 2.0... Active SSH drive QNAP NAS.

  I made a script using vmrun and rsync to backup my virtual machine with a minimum of downtime.

  So my basic in the order instructions...

  (1) T - h server vmrun https://localhost:8333 / sdk -u root Pei pass instant "[standard] themachine/theconfig.vmx.

  (2) cd/var/lib/vmware/Virtual\ Machines / themachine

  (3) rsync - an admin@mynasdrive:/share/backups/themachine *.vmdk *.vmx

  (4) vmrun T - server h https://localhost:8333 / sdk -u root Pei pass revertToSnapshot ' [standard] themachine/theconfig.vmx.

  (5) vmrun T - server h https://localhost:8333 / sdk -u root Pei pass deleteSnapshot ' [standard] themachine/theconfig.vmx.

  (6) T - h server vmrun https://localhost:8333 / sdk -u root Pei pass start "[standard] themachine/theconfig.vmx.

  OK at the base, the idea is...

  (1) create a snapshot so that it uses the snapshot file to write and not the real disk so that it is no longer locked.

  2) change directory for rsync.

  (3) Rsync over SSH a copy (block level so it will copy only the parts of the large hard drive that is changed) of the VMX and VMDK while files that the machines are running.

  (4) to merge changes from the snapshot back with the main drive and stop using the snapshot.

  (5) remove the snapshot we no longer use it and I would like to clean it up.

  (6) for some reason, the machine is paused at the end of all this, then start it up.

  Have I totally lost it or who is supposed to work?

  Consult the manual for your backup battery.  There should be a switch or a button to activate the phone load.  It should not be left in charge mode all the time because the phone thinks it has unlimited power when charging, so disabled several energy-saving features (like display sleep, closing a connection Wi - Fi when he sleeps).

  Thank you for your question.  I'm not aware of any project to make a controller for axes with a USB interface.  At the same time, we had a controller who communicated via a firewire on the PC port, but it has since been abandoned and only has driver support NI Motion 7.0.  I'm going to talk with our product development department just to be sure there is nothing in the works, but I don't expect it's a product that we intend to offer anytime soon.  I'll let you know if I find something different.
