Bad internet on my router N speed

Hi guys,.

I thought maybe you could help me. I have problems with the connection on my router N. The signal is good, sometimes very good (the computer is 10 m from the router), but the borwsing speed really slow. I tried another computer in the same place and the problem persists. So I'm sure it's the router. Furthermore, on my main computer that is connected to the modem via internet router flies just. No problem at all. What could be the problem, any ideas? Thans.

What is the model of the router?

What is the version of the firmware on the router...?

Connect the computer to the router, then check if that make all the difference. On the router configuration page, try changing the channel on the router... Also change the interval of tag to 75, change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304.Now, check

Thanks for your reply; your suggestion about an IP address on the router was the solution. I have a Linksys WRT 300N - the problem with Android devices is known with this router. In the configuration of the router, I have given a static IP address to the Acer and the connection has been established in 30 seconds.

  • E - 17e125nd laptop computer Pavilion bad internet connection.

Yesterday, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion type 17-e125nd. This laptop seems to have very bad internet connection while the signal is 100%. All the time he said that some sites Web cannot be opened. After the page refreshes it does sometimes or I have to close the browser and try again. After that, the page opens sometimes well, sometimes it opens but does not completely load or load into a very strange layout.

    What can be the problem?

Once again: the signal connection is 100%. 2 other PCs on the network have no problem at all. If its a problem with the bought new HP laptop, I'm afraid.

Pretty strange for a new computer.

Anyone here with the same problems? Or perhaps someone who knows how to fix this?

  • Display and removing the history of the internet on the router)

    Hello

This is my first post on this Web site.

I would like information on how to view and delete the history of the internet on a router. I have a linksys router (default SSID is AFAQ wireless) and I'd like to see the history of the internet. Above all, what are the internet sites have been opened on my router. I'm able to get on the Web http://192.168.1.1/ page but can't see all the options for display and delete the sites/pages visited.

You can provide any help would be appreciated.

    Thanking you in advance.

What is the model number of your router? To view the history, you must turn on the feature to save on your router. Once you connect to the router configuration page you must click on the "Administration" tab and below you have to click on the "Log" sub-tab and enable logging feautre on your router... " This will allow you to view the history of the Internet.

  • Not to access Internet using WRT54G Router wireless

I'll try to provide as much information as possible. My mother-in-law gave me his wrt54g router so that we could get Netflix through our Wii. I have an old Compaq laptop for a year and am running Windows 7 with a wireless Internet connection through my service provider. I installed the router with no problems and was able to do online with the Wii. However, I am more able to get Internet access on my desk. It shows that my Internet is connected but it displays "no network access.  I had on fine at first, then I went on the 192.168.1.1 site to configure my data.  I changed my time zone and then to secure my connection.  I don't remember the exact option that I chose, but I think it was something like personal WAP2. As soon as I selected the screen has frozen and I can not access this site or access the Internet through the router. If I unplug my Ethernet cable from the router and plug it directly into the pc I get very well online. I know that this router works with a PPPoE connection, because it's what my mother-in-law a. tried to get support from my ISP, but they left open-mouthed via chat.  Can someone help me understand how to get this router to allow me access so I can use office and the Wii?  Thank you.

Fix it!  I called my local service provider and explains the problem. He had me go in the settings of the router and change the connection between "Connect on Demand ' and 'Keep Alive '.  Everything works fine now.  Thank you!

  • VPN works well but domestic internet access via router

    Hello

I am connected to my Office VPN (Cisco Client) and I am able to access all brach office servers and network devices using their IP addresses internal.

I can also access the internet.

But when I do a tracert for office servers it is routed via office network. But when I tracrt to the internet via my router domestic routing. ??

Isn't it supposed to go through my business network.

Any help would be great. Thank you

It's called a VPN split tunnel.  They channel the resources of the company by the VPN and let your internet go out via your local internet connection. Some companies divide tunnel and a few all traffic, including internet (complete tunnel).

There is nothing you can do. This is how your system admins have set up.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet through a router can just connect by Modem

Hi, I am a user of the Inspiron 1525 Labtop.

My home use 2 desktops and 1 this labtop and 2 days ago, I changed my wireless router.

2 desktop computers connect to router with wire and there is no problem to use internet. but my laptop

could ' t connect to the internet with no wire or cable. So, I tried to connect the Modem directly and can connect

Internet. Only my labtop cannot connect to internet through this router (desktops work well).

So, first I thought of my lancard which might be too old, so could not provide this new router, but no way

because the desktop is older than that.

Now, I want to just connect to internet with wire or wireless, either. Please help me.

I have a very bad internet connection and can not download Photoshop. How to get around this?

use a different connection and download on a usb key if your computer is not transferable.

  • How know if the router or modem cable is the problem with bad internet?

I have intermittent problems of internet home.  The internet goes out for very short periods, then back on several times a day. At various periods of time, usually in bunches up.  Then sometimes instead of being down for maybe a normal 15-30 seconds, it could last 5-20 minutes.  And there are also periods of hours sometimes where the speed is VERY slow.

When he is not at all working, Airport utility looks like in the following screenshot, with the orange Internet and other green devices.  Sometimes, it only shows the Internet icon and light, with nothing else underneath.  If the internet is very slow (and I mean really slow, like minute 2 page load or not at all), everything is green, including the Internet icon.

It is the Charter cable with a modem surfboard, connected to an older Airport Extreme (in mode not wireless) model, which is connected to three aircraft from the airport, you can see in the screenshot.  Everything works very well for 8 years, but these problems have taken place in recent months. I replaced since the cable modem for a brand new, I have reset the Airport Extreme to the factory settings and tried all sorts of other things.

It isn't the wireless aspect, because I can connect a computer to the ethernet jack and it has the same problems.

So here's what I want to know: is there a way I can tell if it's the Airport Extreme or if it's the Internet Charter being flaky?  (I know it's not the cable modem because it does the same thing that before I replaced it).  I just want to isolate the problem. I don't want to succumb to Charter calling again, as we think the run around, I'm going to forward all tech would come home, and they never admits to have flaky internet.

I bought a bolt of lightning to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter so I can plug my Macbook Air directly into the cable modem, without going through the Airport Extreme, but internet is not stay down long enough for me to access, plug it in and reboot the cable modem.   Frustrating.

Suggest that you connect the MacBook Air directly to the modem, connect the Mac to the Internet and keep an eye on the MacBook Air from time to time for at least one day complete.  A few days would be even better, if possible.

If the connection remains strong during your 'test', based on other information that you provide as...

connected to an older model Airport Extreme

    and

Everything works very well for 8 years

The first thought that comes to mind is that life expectancy, on average, for airport routers is about 5 years. It's on food, on average, at the start of the descent position.  Momentary grave start occurring, and the drops will increase in frequency over time.

It is a bet of $20, but you might consider replacing the external power for AirPort Extreme see if that provides any assistance.  This does nothing for the internal power inside the airport of course components.

  • PC cable loss of internet connection with router WRT160N V2

I'm new to routers and I just added a router WRT160N (V2).  Wireless through my laptop is great. However, I have 1 PC connected physically to the router. The internet connection is sporadic on this PC. I have "wireless" internet service high speed and sometimes you click internet or check your emails, and there is no internet connection. It seems to be after the PC has been idle for a while. When you click on the internet icon PC on the router not even flashes her - it's like the PC and the router do not speak. If it does not connect, the connection is great. Any help would be appreciated!

There is a known problem with intermittent connectivity and firmware to build 11 for the WRT160N V2. 11 is the current firmware on the Linksys site. Check if you have 11 build if your router is a V2.
Downgraded to build 8 fits usually correct these deficiencies, but Linksys told several people that they do not have firmware version 8 to give end users.

It's ONLY for the WRT160N V2 router. This firmware will not work on WRT160N V1.

You can find it at http://audipages.com/router/

Follow download them and instructions to downgrade firmware on this page.

  • New laptop (Dell Inspiron 14 5000 series) with really bad internet

Hi, I bought a couple of new portable weeks. the laptop as you can tell by the title is a dell inspiron 14 5000 series. It includes the pilot is an Intel processor dual band wireless - 3160 AC. The problem I have is that the internet is very slow. I get 1 Mbps when I'm in my room, but when I stand right next to the router, I get my normal Mbps which is 20 Mbps. I did some research on the resolution of this issue and the most common responses I got of to get a wired connection (if I do that, I might as well have a pc) and download the new driver (2 x 2). I also changed my HT Mode for people with reduced mobility that works, but the internet connection is really bad (5 Mbps). Now my action is to obtain a new driver, but just to be sure there is a way to fix my internet connection?

I know this isn't the internet from the internet on the other laptops work perfectly fine. And I'll be back on the laptop but unfortunately my 2 weeks are up.

Return the machine if you can.

The problem you are having is a common feature of this series of machines from Dell. Dell staff does not recognize the problem and no solution is guaranteed. Just search the forum for yourself.

  • Customers unable to browse the internet on the router from Cisco 871 K9

    Hello world

"I just bought my Version of K9 Cisco router 871 running this flash system image: c870-advsecurityk9 - mz.124 - 4.T8.bin".

I am trying to configure this router for home use, while I can block a part of Web traffic (porn sites, sites of films because of the children), but I realized that I was unable to apply the access list Match-class version url (http host).

My major problem is still the base of the router config. WAN has a DHCP IP assignment with the 192.168.1.0 network

The Lan is supposed to have 192.168.3.0 network. IP addresses seem to be properly attributed but not able to ping on the internet router. Local client also cannot resolve DNS. Here is my cofig file.

    Please help.

    Hello

problem is that you have changed the IP address of the interface VLAN 1 from 192.168.1.254 to 192.168.1.1
If you need to change by default-router dhcp pool:
    Select conf t
    Richard-Edet dhcp IP pool
    no default router
    default router 192.168.1.1
    end

    NAT is also missing:
    Enable
    conf t
    IP access-list standard NAT
    permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
    output
IP nat inside source list NAT interface SA4 overload
    end

Also perhaps you cannot ping the router console PC because the computer's firewall blocks the ICMP protocol. In windows, I'm sure he is blocked by the firewall. Then you can try ping 192.168.1.1 from the PC and it should work.

Try above changes and then write me if it works, or so we can make other changes.
You can also post the output of the commands (if this will not work):
    router: ip road show
router: ping 8.8.8.8 (it should work if your internet provider doesn´t blocks the ICMP protocol)
    PC: ipconfig/all

  • Very slow Internet after windows installng 10 speed

    Hello
After accepting the free update of Microsoft for windows 10 of Windows 7 ultimate, I find that my Virgin internet runs much lower to the previous speed. I have updated my Firefox browser without result.
Any thoughts would be welcome. Removing and reinstalling Firefox would be worth trying?

    Hi scriber.
If Firefox is slow, try the following steps to remove Firefox as a problem: Firefox is slow - how to make it faster I might suggest also to call the ISP to troubleshoot compatibility problems.
