  • Driving bad magic wand selection tool

Help...  I had this problem almost every time that I use Photoshop CS5 and previously with CS4. (never a problem with CS or CS2). When you try to make selections based on the color or contrast with the 'magic wand' tool, I find that she develops totally erratic behavior.  Even set a tolerance of 1 or 3 (pen = 0), for example, could select supermarkets or any other tone.

I end up doing my masks (selections), either manually, or using a combination of tools like the magnetic lasso.  It is causing lose me a lot of time.  If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

My system is an otherwise robust processor 64-bit WIn 7, Xeon, 18 GB of Ram.

  • IPS recovery procedure - error

    Hello guys...

I forgot the password for module AIP-SSM-10 and try to recover break it. It works 5.x and so I have to make a recovery. on the recovery procedure, the image copy to tftp server system and throws the below error message...

    Slot-1 772 > Bad magic number (0 x-47cd60cf)

    Slot-1 773 > restart Autoboot error...

    Slot-1 774 > reboot...

any suggestion on wht could be the reason and how to on this subject?

the file being attempted to install isn't what they expected the ROMMON of the MSS.

The Image file of the system was damaged during the download.

OR the attempt of the procedure of the System Image with one file other than a System Image.

There are several types of files for IPS and their use is often confused.

    For example:

For version 2.0000 E3, there were 3 different files for the AIP-SSM-10:

    The system image:

    IPS-SSM_10-K9-sys-1.1-a-6.1-2-E3.img

-For installation through ROMMON or more technically the "module hw-module 1 recover...» "order of the SAA. Install a complete Image of the system on the MSS and erases all previous data from the SSM.

NOTE: This is the type of file to be used in the method you follow.

    Update:

    IPS - K9 - 6.1 - 2 - E3.pkg

-To upgrade from an earlier version of the sensor to this new version. It converts the previous configuration to work with the new version.

    Recovery partition:

    IPS-K9-r-1.1-a-6.1-2-E3.pkg

-For the upgrade JUST the SSM recovery partition. The recovery partition can be used for recovery with the "application-recovery partition" command in the sensor CLI.

There may be some confusion here, because this file is the 'Recovery' image, BUT is NOT used with the command "recover the hw-module module 1" of the SAA.

Instead, the Image of the 'system' is what is used with the command "recover the hw-module module 1.

If you find that you do not use the correct file type (unkowingly used a upgrade or recovery file), then download the System Image file and try again.

If you use the System Image file, then check the size and md5 checksum of the file and compare it to what is on cisco.com. It was damaged during the download from cisco.com and you may need a new download of the file.

If the checksum md5 and size of the file is the file on cisco.com, check your TFTP server. Using a 3rd attempt of machine for the file from the tftp server tftp. Once the tftp would check the size and md5 checksum to verify that your TFTP server is able to serve the entire file. You want to make sure your TFTP server is not truncate your file for download.

Comrades, I am new to PIX 506 ongoing enforcement. I try to get the installed MDP, but I have a bad magic number when downloading ftp!

Have you tried "downgrading" of worm 6.3 (5) and 6.2 (4) worm. Should what version of PDMxxx.bin I use. Have you tried ver 6.3 (5) install pdm - 304.bin, but who doesn't either. I'm new on this and are studying for my CCNA!, so please have mercy!

For PIX OS 6.3.5 (pix635.bin), you will need the PDM (pdm - 304.bin).

Whan you download the FTP image on your PC do not forget that you are in binary mode, if you are in ASCII mode, the image will be corrupted (incorrect checksum).

  • Selection of magic wand that turned bad in CS4 for Windows - how to fix?

I am currently working on a project of game modding than altered uses of the photos as icons.  Most of these photos have (usually white) background which I am replacing it with color gradients.  My usual method for the manufacture of the icon:

    1. Create my gradient background in a white square of size; Save this file.
    2. The Outbox folder, add a new transparent layer.
    3. Open the photo to be altered (file B) and my game-icon (file C) model in separate tabs.
    4. Select the unwanted parts of file B with the magic wand tool; Cut; repeat if necessary.
    5. Select the entire image is in file B; If so, resample a file match B and C (256 x 256 pixels, 96 DPI).
    6. Copy the picture and paste it into the transparent layer of the file has.
    7. Flatten image in the Outbox folder, and then select all and copy.
    8. Paste this new image (with the gradient background) in the C file transparent layer.
    9. Flatten the image into an icon of the full game, recording as a file D.dds with the "Alpha channel" and Alpha DXT3/Explicit options.  (You will need the Nvidia DDS plugin for this step.)

Usually, these steps give me decent looking results (see photos #1 and #2 for a before/after).  Sometimes, however, the wand chooses too and cannot limit the unwanted area more (see photos #3 and #4 for a before/after). I would like to try the lasso tool if my hands partially paralyzed could manage other users of Photoshop here are technical advice?

Color range selections, channel operations, the adjustments made on the custom selections / channels. You need to combine several techniques and selections. For example, you can always try to create a luminance mask, save it as a custom channel and using levels or curves adjustments cut unwanted parts, and then load it as a choice on which you can then use the edges, refine and add / subtract / intersect other selections...

  • the magic Mouse loses connection

I have an iMac 21.5 "running 10.11.6. Recently, I added a to an existing stereo system bluetooth connectivity so I could broadcast on the system. By the way since then I lose my connection to the mouse. I get "connection lost" notification even if the mouse is sitting idle without hands even near him. I tried the suggested pieces of paper, battery replacement and any other thing, I found displayed. Nothing works. As I was typing that I got the message several times, and I'm not even using the mouse! I have another computer in another location and plan to try to see if the problem changes switching. I suspected that the additional bluetooth device could be the culprit, but I tried to unplug and had the same results. It is not a problem with another computer running the same operating system, even if a year or two older hardware. The intermittent mouse problem existed before, but I've lived with him because he doesn't seem to be that bad. Now, I have moved and am in an apartment complex and wonder if there is an interference cause me pain. I do not know to replace the mouse by a non Apple device can solve the problem or if I need to use a WIRED one remedy! The keyboard has never given me problems and with the exception of the low battery notification, it has worked perfectly.

    Hello...

    May be corrupted Bluetooth preferences.

Open a Finder window. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    / Library/Preferences/com. Apple.Bluetooth.plist

Click OK, and then place the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file in the trash.

Can it match the Magic Mouse > OS X El Capitan: use an Apple wireless mouse

If this does not help, because you are having problems with the battery, Reset System Management Controller (SMC)

  • Use the Magic Trackpad to Bypass built in Trackpad

Genius diagnosed bad trackpad in my MacBook 2012. Rather than sending repair ($310), I bought Magic Trackpad 2 to work around the problem. Engineering directed me to go to the preference of accessibility, and then click "Ignore built in mouse or trackpad when wireless trackpad is present." I've had that happen and that you can use Magic Trackpad 2 to point and click HOWEVER no other features are available. I can't tap, pinch, rotate, etc. When I click on Preferences of the Magic Trackpad 2, I see a screen indicating that the trackpad prefs are disabled, with no way to turn on the features of the Magic Trackpad 2. Anyone know how I can release all the Magic Trackpad 2 features while ignoring the built in trackpad?

As long as the built-in trackpad is not interfering with your comments in a way (for example causing unwanted movements of the cursor) I would have thought you could disable 'ignore' and just use the external trackpad.

The message below is part of a series that I have to close it before that Firefox opens. All started about 4 days ago. I think it has something to do with Evernote. %1 is not a valid Win32app

Some of them are not pop up until I click OK on the previous errors.  I have no more of the Setup disk.

    What should I do?

Part of the problem is if you configure the computer to start in a clean boot state, then things work OK (unlikely), there are no instructions that tell you what to do but then restore your computer to a normal state and which does not solve anything.

Is that sort of thing pretty good work for you JoshB_2011 here?  Of course, this is not and he won't - ever.

Is it supposed to be some kind of magic that happens when you start in a clean boot state, which makes all the problems disappear, then you go back to a normal state and all is well?

To do something between these two things... and that's the "Troubleshooting" part... There is no included troubleshooting.

I had read it all through (it may be not a good idea at first), then apply it.

It is sometimes easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem by simply deleting the startup message.
I would also not recommend you start digging in the registry to try to find the startup item and remove it unless you have a backup of your system or at least a backup of your registry, because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom if they not even work at all, but they can't actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.  You don't need to try ideas that might work, you must do something that will always work all the time.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.
If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry
. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can also use the Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information
.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that you had or have an infection, followed with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.
  • How to disable the Network Magic Splash Screen feature?

Anyone can guide me please you through the steps to disable the Network Magic boot screen? I bought the software a few years back and saw a message, how to do it. I did, and it worked a treat... until a recent bug on my computer forced a major restoration, which brought back the splash screen. Now, I forgot (of course) how I disabled it in the registry. I know that this question is compared to the major probs that here, others have small potatoes, but I hope that someone will still give me a little help.

Well, that's interesting! I really thought that it was a common problem, which need a registry edit to remove the splash screen, as is the case with other programs. I was wrong.

So, once a hardware problem (I just had one of my hard drives go bad), I'll follow your advice by uninstalling and then reinstalling Network Magic. The splash screen I see, which appears just after the start and central rest before and during the complete boot process, is a pale green rectangle with 'Pure Networks' (and a little of the rest of the text) on this subject. I'll report after trying your solution.

    Thanks much for the reply.

Hi, I have a Dell Insiron 540 DT, VISTA Home Premium, with a SATA HD, I see a ST3500620AS, so a Seagate.

I wanted to make a new partition, and as I have done on several before Win XP systems, I used an old version of Partition Magic. I sharpen your startwd this program from a bootable CD, there were 2 errors on the hard drive, and the PM asked to correct errors. I said yes, the result is a BAD DISK in PM and I'm not able to boot my computer.

The result of the computer starts is a BSOD with error 7 B.: smileysad:

I tested the HD with the DELL-diagnose, extensive testing and there where NO errors found. : smileysurprised:

I tried to reinstall VISTA but it does not work, when I choose the partition to the installation there as a messaga everything can not find System Volume Eric indstallation requirements (translation of the Dutch installation)

I tried a Dell factory restore, but this fails to, on stage format.

I used a CD of instalation of WIN XP, recovery console and I could see the partition C. CHKDSK told me that mistakes out there where it is unrecoverable.

As far as I can see that all means there is a problem with the MBR tables and/or the partition and I need to format the HD, partition C., perhaps a zero fill.

The Dell helpdesk seeks too much about this problem, but I wanted to see if - forum users could help me solve this problem.

    Thanks to you all!

  • AVI import badly 86::1, it may be not supported FORMAT, but he import in obsolete versions

Hello, a few days later I have 8.1 Windows + after effects CC 2014, I work with my project, I make the film.

Today, I reinstall the whole system clearly WINDOWS 10 + After Effects CC 2015 but when I try my latest project to import to MODIFY, AE telling me After Effects error 3. AVI cannot be imported can be in unsupported format.

    A note:

2 years ago I have the same problem in after effects CC, I used the script to change the CONTAINER VIDEO of AVI to MP4 and then import video well, and now I have same situation, but magic... some time later, I could import files without change containing far, I don't remember I have change but I can import. AVI files without changing the AVI to MP4 container.

I can try to IMPORT AVI files? Perhaps what should I install codecs or something else? PLS HELP! SOR for bad English.

It was a new install of Windows 10 or was it an upgrade of Windows 8?

At any time in the past - even while he was still Windows 8 - have you ever installed a codec pack?

What codec is her you can't import images? AVI is just a container format.

If you install CC 2014 on your new system, it is important files?
