bad mystery has infected my pc

A few days ago inadvertently, I clicked on a banner that apparently introduced some malware on my computer - I could get with a restoration of the system for a few days earlier, and everything seemed OK, because my antivirus disclosed no problem

Today, at startup, process occorred very slowly and about 1/2 of the icons I expect to see in the system actually seemed tray - I tried to recover them with the taskbar properties box - they had been changed to "show'"hide when inactive"- after I made the changes to restore, they did not reappear.

In addition, I tried to use the system restore again to reset the machine, but all previous restore points "disappeared" choice of calendar box

any help appreciated

Hello

Make one a very thorough search for malware, and then do the cleaning.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

I will lose physical access to that computer for four months on 10/23, so I'll try to get back to the former State. How can I do this? I am wary to try a reset, see how I screwed up my system.

My original goal was to have two profiles on my work computer, one for home, for work, and the two synchronized according to the device name.

A big thank you to all those who can help.

    Ben

Normally the data would be merged between connected devices.

You should be able to restore the bookmarks from a backup JSON (.json or tablet .jsonlz4) in the folder bookmarkbackups.

If you have lost the password then try to see if you still the signons.sqlite (and key3db) in the Firefox profile folder to see if you can make Firefox reimport bookmarks from this file.

32 of Firefox and later versions store the passwords in the file logins.json in the profile folder and no longer use the file signons.sqlite.
If you have the file signons.sqlite which has been used in Firefox 31 and more, then you could try to recover the passwords stored in this file (you lose passwords saved in Firefox 32).
You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the logins.json file.

    • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
    • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true and you should have the passwords into password manager, unless he could have errors.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

  • Malicious adware/software has infected Chrome and Safari

My exactly the same problem was discussed in another thread, but unfortunately the solutions did not work for me, so I'll try again.

I'll try to be as detailed as possible, so I'll drop my question into several categories:

    My system

    • MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end of 2013)
    • Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
    • Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    • Storage: 249,77 GB
    • Operating system: OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.4

    The problem

    • Calendar: This problem has persisted for fifteen hours; I he didn't notice last night so I think it happened this morning, but I'm not sure if I'm being generous with the timing at 100%.
    • Chrome and Safari (both browsers I installed), some kind of malware is the insertion of hypertext links on specific words that link to the ads. Each unique ad is related to the s.igmhb.comurl. The words a hyperlink become all-cap, bold and italic with a green arrow at the upper right of each word in a hyperlink. Curiously, it doesn't seem to affect all Web pages, only a small number. It does not seem to be all rhyme or reason as to which sites it affects.
    • I have not installed or downloaded anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, so I have no idea where it comes from.

    What I've done so now

    • I immediately checked for any suspicious Chrome extensions because it is generally what is the problem, but cannot find anything. Then I went to Safari to see if it has also been hit, which is. This means that it is probably something that is in my system, not only in a browser.
    • I then ran a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and it found a number of things. Quickly, I deleted the and restarted my computer. Unfortunately, the problem is still persistent. This is where I am really myself, because kicking that I should write the names of what found Malwarebytes. I just assumed it would well after I deleted the offending files. I tried to run several other analyses Malwarebytes, but they all appear negative. I know from experience that there is probably some hidden files in my system, but as I said I don't know what to look for.
    • I googled "s.igmhb.com" to see if other people have the same problem, and he's a little suspect. Best results are less than 48 hours, and they are all websites, advertising an anti-virus software. Many of them recommend same installation MacKeeper, I know is a big no-no. So yes, pretty suspicious if you ask me.

That's all I can think of right now; I hope that's enough for someone to help me. This type of adware are seem to be very new, so I've not had much luck finding solutions.

You may have installed ad-injecting malicious software ("adware").

Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

    Save all data first.

Some of the most common types of adware can be removed by following the instructions from Apple. But before you follow these instructions, you can try an automatic removal.

If you are not already running the latest version of Mac OS X ("El Capitan"), update or upgrade in the App Store you could adware to automatically remove. If you are already using the latest version of El Capitan, you can still download the current update of the Apple Support downloads page and run it. Still, some types of malware will be deleted, not all. There is no such thing as the automatic removal of all possible malware, either by OS X third party software. That's why you can't rely on software to protect you.

If the malware is deleted in your case, you will still need to make changes to the way you use your computer to protect you from new attacks. Ask if you need advice.

If the malware is not automatically deleted, and you cannot remove yourself by following the instructions from Apple, see below.

This simple procedure to detect any type of adware that I know. Disabling is a procedure distinct and better still.

Some legitimate software is funded by advertising and may display advertisements in its own windows or in a web browser while it is running. It's not malware and it may not appear. In addition, some Web sites display advertising intrusive popup that can be confused with adware.

If none of your web browsers work well enough to carry out these instructions, restart the computer in safe mode. Allows to temporarily disable the malware.

    Step 1

Please triple - click on the line below on this page to select it, and then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    ~/Library/LaunchAgents

    In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + v press return. Open a folder named "LaunchAgents", or you will get a notice stating that the file cannot be found. If the file is not found, proceed to the next step.

If the folder opens, press the combination of keys command-2 to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected. Please don't skip this step.

There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click this title two times to sort the content by date with the most recent at the top. If necessary, enlarge the window so that all the content show.

Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "take a screenshot of a window." An image file with a name starting in 'Screenshot' should be saved to the desktop. Open the capture screen and make sure it is readable. If this isn't the case, capture a small part of the screen indicating that what needs to be shown.

Start a reply to this message. Drag the image file in the editing window downloading. Alternatively, you can include text in the response.

Leave the case open for now.

    Step 2

Do as in step 1 with this line:

    /Library/LaunchAgents

The record which can open up will have the same name but is not the same as in step 1. In this step, the folder does not exist.

    Step 3

    Repeat with this line:

    /Library/LaunchDaemons

This time the file will be called "LaunchDaemons."

    Step 4

Open Safari preferences window and select the tab 'Extensions'. If the extensions are listed, post a screenshot. If there are no extensions, or if you cannot launch Safari, skip this step.

    Step 5

If you use Firefox or Chrome browser, open the list of extensions and do as in step 4.

  • Everything on the left side of the screen disappeared and all programs will not recover as malware has infected my computer

Original title: I was struck with Mal-Ware. Everything on the left side of the screen disappeared and all programs. Does not restore. Everything is still there, but can't find it. How can I get that back?

When I go to help and support, I've seen where it will take me to something in Office 2007 even if you ask the computer to find or search, he says that's not there.

    Hi windy-54,

-What do you mean when you say "everything on the left side of the screen disappeared and all programs not recover"? Does this mean you "Start" menu is empty?
-What is the exact error that you receive while you are trying to search for programs on the computer?

Write us with more information pertaining to the matter to help us help you better. Meanwhile, scan your computer to clean the virus or malware that touched it.

You can use the Microsoft security scanner to do the same.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
  • Nightly rollup error - bad record has been read

Performance of AA 5.4.3 with the latest service pack. Received this error while the accumulation of every night was happening to one of our groups:

CompleteAdding cannot be used at the same time as additions to the collection. Repository error: incorrect record was read. The repository can be unavailable or corrupted

The repository is not full.  I've been slowly down the space used by delaying the totals for a few days to let the deletions to run.  Finally, I ran a check for deposit this weekend.

ROLLUP still work although there is now only a rollup thread that runs instead of two.

I intend running a check for deposit when the update rollup is complete.  Anyone have any ideas on the issue.

    Hi Alpha162,

Thanks for your question.  Incorrect records / corruption should not occur only from repository space dipping below 10 percent but becomes less free space increases the risk of failure of task such as rollup and repository maintenance tasks.  Over time this could have a negative effect, so the 10% guideline is a notice to allow customers to extend the repository, archive data on or apply a stricter retention policy.  10% is a figure of the right orientation to watch in all of your deposits and AppAssure SMTP alerts can be a great help with this.

Broader patterns of corruption can vary considerably, but interrupted rollup jobs because of unexpected stops or connectivity between the heart and the repository issues are common problems.   Another frequent problem can be environmental issues.  The speed of the underlying disk where the repository is very, very important.  Repositories based NAS suffer more problems that directly attached storage, often when the design limits have been exceeded or praising the memory is too small.

The current version of 5.4.3.106 has been very stable, so I hope that your current experiences were better.  I'm a big supporter also approach "backup backup" and have a core of replica or archive (cloud or disk) can be a huge advantage to complete a standard basic configuration.

    Best regards

    Hello

See the following message to solve the problem of .exe if necessary once you are sure that the system is clean.

Try Mode safe mode with networking - repeatedly, press F8 that you start.

The best two methods allow scanners to run and/or AV.exe out of the way or removing.

    1.
CTRL SHIFT ESC - task manager OR right click on the taskbar - task manager

Process tab - complete the process on AV. EXE and continue with the uninstall Guide.

If necessary use start - computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to

C:\Program Malwarebytes Anti - Malware\mbam.exe or where it is installed - if
necessary right click on the shortcut of Malwarebytes - Properties - tab - target line to see where it
    is installed.

Right-click on it and rename it to ZZMbam.COM (or something different than now), then
Double-click it and run it like this. You can rename it back later. Do the same with others
programs as needed. Use this method for other necessary - DO NOT ASSUMER one
program removes all or that there is no other malware.

    ---------------------------------------------------

    2.
Another method is to use them:

Use Process Explorer to "Suspend" the process will not stop

Then use AutoRuns to delete the malicious program startup items.

Now use UnLocker to delete the files in the malware.

You may need to do a file at a time.

Rob Brown - MS MVP - Windows Desktop Experience: Bike - Mark Twain said it right.

  • My Mac has a virus or is this malware?

While browsing with Safari a message popped up on my computer.  Should I take seriously or is - this malware that I must be wary?  The message was:

    In "apple.com - messenging.» *** »

    VIRUS DETECTED

A Web site that you visited today has infected your Mac with a virus.

Press OK to start the repair process.

-- And there is a blue button with "OK" on this subject.

I force quit Safari and then reopened, get the same message again - because it was open when I force quit the program.  I force quit a second time and then off to my modem.  So when I opened Safari for the third time I got the URL, but the message couldn't come because I was not connected to the Internet.  Without this message box, the page could not freeze the program, I so was able to copy the URL and then delete this tab.  The URL is:

    Apple.com-messenging.***/dgkg/? City = Mechanicsburg & region = Pennsylvania & country = US & ip = 71.113.173.79 & isp = Verizon 20Online % 20Llc % & os = BONE 20 X & osv=OS%20X%2010.8%20Mount % ain % 20Lion & browser = Safari & browserversion 206% Safari = & voluumdata = BASE64dmlkLi4wMDA wMDAwNi00ZWVmLTQzNTYtODAwMC0wMDAwMDAwMDAwMDBfX3ZwaWQuLmM1ODIwMDAwLTMwZjktMTFlNi0 4ZTBiLTdjY2JiNWRjZmRhNF9fY2FpZC4uM2EyNDdhMjMtZWEzYi00NTQ4LTgzYWEtNDUxN2U1NjY0NGR lX19ydC4uRF9fbGlkLi5jYzk0MDE3Yy00YTc1LTRjZDktODY5NS01ZjcyNzk5ZTdkZTFfX29pZDEuLmI 4OGM4ZDlhLWNjMzktNDg2NC05ZDI0LWI0ZWQ5NWNmOThmN19fdmFyMS4uYWxwaGEteWF3LVRScGVSV0h 5X192YXIyLi50aW1lb2ZmdW5fX3ZhcjQuLk5PTi1BRFVMVF9fdmFyNS4uRE9NQUlOX19yZC4uX19haWQ uLl9fYWIuLl9fc2lkLi4

So, who is legitimate or is < e-mail apple.com. > a malware site?

Note: I had been visiting a page of Pinterest watching images of famous artists, JMW Turner, etc.. I thought I could get a version enlarged image on the page of Tumbler a photo was supposed to come, but when I clicked on the 'Visit' button, I received the above message of the registered URL.

It's a scam. Force Quit Safari (command + option + ESC keys). Then restart Safari by holding down the SHIFT key.
