Bar of the active window, the missing or hidden menu bar

Today after opening a PDF file, my bar of the window active (top) and the Acrobat menu bar would not display. It is Acrobat 9.5.5. Instead of giving me the normal bar of the active window and the menu bar, it would give a gray buttons Acrobat menu. Whenever I have it back to normal via F9, just not like this. It's extremely frustrating. I can't find any setting in preference to the difficulty of this return to normal for good. Help, please. Thank you.

Hi Jack,

You have installed Kaspersky Antivirus software?

Please update of Kaspersky (KIS 2015) to its latest version 15.0.1.415 and that should solve the problem.

See the Kaspersky forum thread: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=307391&hl=Adobe

  • List of open and active/Windows Forms displayed within Windows XP 7 v/s windows on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the status bar

    Salvation OR,.

We found that the list of forms/open windows displayed in Windows XP (on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the windows taskbar) seems to indicate all open and active windows/forms in the application.

We would like to know how to enable the same functionality in a Windows 7 environment. The best we can do now is to double click on the name of the application on the windows taskbar to switch between active windows/Forms in the application. We would like a menu similar to the windows XP appearance about running on Windows 7 when it comes to this particular feature.

    Thank you and best regards,

The taskbard has changed significantly in Windows Vista and 7. You can get a similar functionality to what you call by customizing the taskbar in the taskbar properties. In addition, now press SHIFT key while right-clicking to display a menu similar to what you show in your screenshot, except that it does not display the name of the element. In Windows 7, the feature make you is typically done by hovering over the icon in the bar tasks and selecting one of the points of view which appears above the element.

You can use the Windows shellapi to do a limited customization of the task bar, but this API is very difficult to use and I would not recommend this approach.

CVI provides a method to change the name of the item in the taskbar (see this KB), but it does not add the name after the restoration in the context menu.

I found this feature extremely useful, and I can do it no longer. That's happened? There just is no longer supported or is this a bug? • The mouse only works in the active window and cannot select drop-down menus (W7)

    Hello

I can't understand what is the cause. I can only select things in the active window with my mouse, I can't move the window, I can't click on anything whatsoever outside of it.

ATM by writing this, I can not open another program or select the bar of tasks or do anything outside that window. (unless I use CTRL-ALT-DEL and force to select a new active window with my keyboard)

Another thing is that everything works within the window, except one thing, menus drop down, I can bring up the menu drop-down but can not select anything on the menu.

I reinstalled windows to do this same thing. I can't understand why windows doesn't let me choose some things outside my main window, it's that I'm sort of protected mode.

    Thanks for any help

-Have you tried plugging the mouse on another computer?

Method 1: I would also say you update the drivers for the mouse on the computer and check if it helps.
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

Method 2: Also, I suggest you use Microsoft Safety scanner to make sure that your computer is free from malware and check if it helps.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection. For a real-time protection that helps you keep your home or small office PC against viruses, spyware and other malicious software, download Microsoft Security Essentials.
Method 3: I suggest you try to check with the other mice to make sure that the problem is not with the computer.

If it is a laptop, I suggest you to check if a FN key function is to to do this. As you are facing the issue after reinstalling the operating system, I also suggest you check with the manufacturer of the computer, if there is this key.

  • Would like to know the difference between a < removed > activated Windows and a real

    I have a neighbour.

He had a not activated copy of windows. He putted up some stuff on the net as and downloaded a software.

He told me to activate windows within seconds.

Boom! in a few seconds and displays as Windows is activated.

On the other hand, I have an OEM version of windows that is authentic dishes.

I couldn't spot any difference between mine and his copy of windows. However, it has activated it illegally and I have a legal copy.

Could someone clarify please, would be very grateful.

The difference is that you have a legally activated Windows version and the neighbor does not work. The version of neighbours of Windows can work as well as your version legally activated, but it still falls into the category of piracy.

To delete the message you are already enabled, you can force the activation on reboot. If the wpa.dbl and wpa.bak are damaged, they can cause a problem.
    Restart in 'Safe Mode '.
Rename wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files located in the the\Windows\system32 folder
Now, the message must be deleted, and you can now re-enable. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services

  • Active window color problem - cannot change the background color

original title: Active window color problem

By right-clicking: Desktop, then click on: personalization / window color and appearance / settings (Advanced) appearance, Windows user can assign a background color of the active window in any application.  This is useful for those of us who don't want a stark white screen; We can assign a mild pastel tint which may be easier on the eyes for long term sessions.

At some recent point, I lost the background color of the active window within Windows uses 'household.  I still not my background color assigned in any application I run (Word, Mail, etc.), but using Windows Explorer to navigate through my hard drive, the active window is now always the default stark white Windows.  How this change and can it be forced to adhere to the assigned active window background color?

Step 1: Check if the problem continues in a new user account.

  • System makes rattling then disables the active window

I installed Windows 7 on a Dell XPS 420 a year ago.  Since the installation, every 2 minutes or so, the system will make a rattling noise and active window, I work with will be disabled.  It doesn't matter if I work in Word, on the Web or e-mail.  Everything I type or working on stops immediately (sometimes making me lose 2-3 lines of typo) and I have to go to the mouse and click once to reactivate the window.  Extremely frustrating.  I closed all background programs, run a clean boot and run spyware or malicious controls, and nothing has worked so far.  Any suggestions?

    HI RAWolfe,

Everything first, go to Dell and look for any driver or other updates matching your system (use the serial number, but do not forget to change the operating system if you changed it when he sold to the current).  Update for those who are not topical - particularly that relating to the graphics cards and monitors - but really compare them all what you have now in Manager devices, and update that can be updated and are applicable.  See what follows to learn more about this, but here, let's assume that you are looking for not only those with problems, but who are not the latest available:

Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get pilots to leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  You can also try the Driver Verifier Manager to see if you can identify the driver or the responsible device (assuming that it is the cause): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244617.

Then, go to Control Panel / Power Options and make sure that your settings are not set to close things to the low "in 2 minutes.  Try to set reasonable limits to just to be sure.

Rattling noises often mean a hardware problem and often mean the hard drive.

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type SFC/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

We will test your hard disk and RAM for hardware problems:

To test your hard drive, try HD diagnosis (http://www.carrona.org/hddiag.html) or this test: hard drive diagnostics tools and utilities (storage) - Corp of TACKtech (http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287).  If it fails the test, replace it.  If she passes the test, then it's probably nothing wrong with it.

You can also test your RAM to http://www.memtest.org/.  Here are the additional instructions that can help: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html.  If it fails, test each piece individually to find those who are bad and replace.  If it passes, the RAM is probably OK.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
