Basis of routing on 2901

Hey everybody

Im a novice when it comes to Cisco routers. Having a 2901 in the House now and trying to do this route between the two main interfaces. But no luck!

Routing is between the 10.16.108.x and the 32.54.20.x network. The command "ip routing" was launched.

S * 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 10.16.108.1
10.0.0.0/8 is variably divided into subnets, 4 subnets, 3 masks
C 10.0.0.0/23 is directly connected, Vlan1
L 10.0.0.7/32 is directly connected, Vlan1
C 10.16.108.0/22 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/0
The 10.16.108.2/32 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/0
32.0.0.0/8 is variably divided into subnets, 2 subnets, 2 masks
C 32.54.16.0/20 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/1
The 32.54.20.33/32 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/1

The config set as a text file attachment.

Everything looks good on this configuration for basic routing. Is the test on the 10.16.108.0 computer network configured to use 10.16.108.2 as its default gateway? Similarly, is the 32.54.20.32 network is configured to use 32.54.20.33 as its default gateway? If the test machines do not have a path to the interface of the router, which will create a problem.

  • Adding multiple Airport Express to a router/network Apple no?

    Hi all

    You are looking for assistance.

Until yesterday, I had an Internet ADSL connection and home network WiFi connection that consisted of a base no routing modem, connected to a time Capsule. The extended wireless network had 3 Airport Express connected.

My ISP (TPG in Australia) past my ADSL to the new NBN yesterday and have sent me a new HUAWEI Modem/wireless router. That's why I need is no longer my Time Capsule for routing.

My question is now; Can I connect my A-Express to the router not Apple to create a large network similar to what I had before? I did a little reading and apparently not!

    Thanks in advance.

Can I connect my A-Express to the router not Apple to create a large network similar to what I had before?

Sorry, but no.  Feature of "extend" Apple owns. The Express devices can only wireless "extend" the signal from another router from Apple.

You can still use the time Capsule to provide a network... wireless signal and the expresses may 'extend '.

You could use the wireless of the Huawei product for "guest", or disable wireless on the device if you do not need two wireless networks.

  • How is it that some machines running windows vista, when the router is updated or changed, they show "limited or local only" when you reconnect then wireless.

problems with wireless Vista "local only".

How is it that some machines running windows vista, when the router is updated or changed, they show "limited or local only" when you then reconnect wireless... nothing else was changed on those computers and other devices can connect ok?

    Hello

Each router is assigned to the specific address (called IP address or IP address). And each router maintains its own database (called as base of router) to follow the networking devices communicate with him. When the router is changed, the particular router is unable to detect the device, especially the network card to communicate with the computer.  Since he does not have details of the database of network devices, communicate with him.

  • [Win7] How routing metric is determined when wired and connected to the same subnet and enabled both wireless adapter

We have one under the Network Setup:

1 Win 7 laptop with the wireless and wired adatper1 card1 enabled and connected to the 192.168.1.0 network.

    WLA1 - 192.168.1.2

    WA1 - 192.168.1.3

2 Win 7 laptop with the wireless and wired adatper2 card2 enabled and connected to the 192.168.1.0 network.

    WLA2 - 192.168.1.4

    WA2 - 192.168.1.5

WLA1 and WLA2 are connected by a wireless access point.

WA1 and WA2 are connected via L2 switch.

Every time we ping from laptop1 to 192.168.1.4, need the wireless path.

Similarly, when we ping from laptop1 to 192.168.1.5 only need to access wired road.

In addition, if we disable WLA1 in laptop1 and laptop1 192.168.1.4 ping, ping does not occur and ping is successful only if the wireless network adapter is enabled. It does not take the cable path.

    I just sub questions:

-On what basis the route is chosen correctly?

-Can we expect this happens all the time or roads can vary according to certain parameters?

-Why it only takes the path wired when we ping from laptop1 to 192.168.1.4 after having turned off the WLA1.

  • ESXi-> Cisco 3850-> router upstream routing does not

    Please see the attached diagram.

I currently have the installation of "router on the stick" and I move to lass on Cisco 3850 battery. Initially, I moved VLAN100.  I can ping to each of the directly connected devices (i.e. the router 3850 and 2911). I can't do a ping to a virtual machine on vlan 100 router and vice versa. Here's what works what doesn't work.

    Work in both sense

    VM (172.16.100.51) <->GW on IVR (172.16.100.254)

    VM (172.16.100.51) <->an another IVR (172.16.230.254)

    VM (172.16.100.51) <->Int L3 on 3850 (10.2.2.2)

    L3 on 3850 (10.2.2.2) int <->int L3 on 2911 (10.2.2.1)

    SVI on 3850 (172.16.100.254) <->int L3 on 2911 (10.2.2.1)

Does not not in both directions:

    VM (172.16.100.51) <->L3 interface on 2911 (10.2.2.1)

    VM (172.16.100.51) <->else NOT routed on 3850

I have following routes on 2911 and 3850.

    3850:
    IP route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.2.2.1

    2911:

    IP route 172.16.100.0 255.255.255.0 10.2.2.2

    IP route 172.16.230.0 255.255.255.0 10.2.2.2

If in theory everything that comes from 172.16.100.51 no 3850 premises must be sent to 10.2.2.1 since it is the default route on 3850.

I suspect that this is a problem with the license. I have IP Base feature set stack license 3850. I have checked using the license to show and display the version controls.

According to this FAQ Cisco, http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-3850-..., routing should work because I do not have more than 16 static routes and I'm only using base L3 routing features.

I am at a loss here. What is going on? Can someone please confirm?

    I bought WS-C3850-24 t-S,

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/switches/LAN/catalyst3850/software/...

thinking that I would be able to use Lass and keep all traffic to get into the routers as switches upstream of our most ancient were only L2.

It looks like an upgrade for all IP Services features is possible.

    https://cisco3850.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/licensing-for-cisco-catalyst-....

That I have to upgrade the image so or can I just pass the license using the built-in commands described here.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/switches/LAN/catalyst3850/software/...

I hope that I don't have to reboot switches because this configuration is currently using this stack as the core and distribution.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

  • IP over different WAN, source routing ip range? [cisco 891]

    Hi all!

Here I am again asking for help! :)

Here's the goal: I want a set of computers to use a WAN and another using the other WAN based on the IP address range.

I use a router cisco 891. Fastethernet0 is a WAN, GigabitEthernet8 is the other WAN and gigabitethernet 0 to 7 are 8 switch of the router ports.

From now on, I have my two internet access works very well, each of them is connected to a WAN port on my router. I have no problem have all my computers using a WAN or the other, or even load balancing between them, but what I want is to fix some computers with internet access and the other computer to use other internet access.

I don't know how to do this, I looked in the delivery by source IP address, but I don't really know how to do. I saw something on the basis of routing policy, but I can only apply these policies on incoming packets that I seem not to be able to apply these policies to one of the switch port of the router. I would need to use the WAN port to connect my incoming LAN in, but then I would not be enough WAN port for both of my internet connections.

    Internet gateway #1 is 172.26.2.254

    #2 connection gateway is 192.168.1.254

    Here is my current config:
I understand why I have bad connection whith this config since it is load balancing between the road two default and send only one of my two wan according to the INVESTIGATION period, but I don't know what to do to say precilesy Beach, the beach of IP #2 and IP #1 to go go here.

I get a router Cisco 2901 put in place and tries to load balancing/link aggregation and/or failover for my double WAN connections. • Problem with SlingTV through Airport Extreme?

I have a Motorola SB6141 cable modem, internet of Time Warner and an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station (later) for my setup. While SlingTV is not a great service, it was $ 20 a month and gave me what I need and has been much better than that Time Warner was in charge me for the same channels.

Despite the problems of freezing SlingTVs or what not, for a while it worked. But one day a few months back it just stopped working. When you open the app, it either does not open or just turns and turns to be forgotten and never access the content. But if I try on my phone (Verizon LTE), or another network outside my apartment with the iPad or computer laptop, it works. So at home, I tried to go directly from the cable modem and right in the Apple TV (previously an Xbox) and when I do that it works. So really what it boils down to, is my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station router. If I'm either directly connected to the Airport Extreme Base Station (Apple TV ethernet to the router), it will not work, or if I use WiFi via the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station it will not work. But directly to the modem cable or on any network outside of my home, the service works.

So in short, something about setting up Apple isn't allowing the Sling TV app to open or work on any device. I even did a rest of the plant and installing my Apple router once again, and the same problem persists.

FYI - I use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and all the Apple TV, TV shows, rental movies and content without ever having a problem with opening or streaming. This only happens with SlingTV when you try to access content on any device (iPad, Apple TV, Xbox One, iPhone, Macbook Air) via WiFi or Ethernet via Apple Airport Extreme.

I tried to provide all the little details that I could. If someone could please provide a solution I would really really appreciate it! Thank you.

Well first of all try to port forwarding. Slingbox I guess would use a similar to SlingTV montage... Unfortunately when I google for it I see just people having so many questions like you... no rigging, no answer they give up.

    http://PortForward.com/English/routers/port_forwarding/Apple/AirPortExtreme/Slin gBox.htm

It is the old airport of model, but the idea is correct.

If you still have questions... There is a major problem... port 5001 is used by the airport for its installation...

If I run a scan of port of network utility, that you will find that it is already used.

    Port scan started...

    Host port scan: 192.168.2.201

    Open TCP Port: 5001 commplex-link

    Open TCP Port: 5009 winfs

    Port scan has completed...

My recommendation is to replace the airport as your main router... Something good market like the C5 TP-Link or the WR1043ND which is less than $50US. These routers use UPNP is missing on the airport. Continue to use the airport for your customers to apple as WAP and switch.

BTW: this is no bad thing because you also have a known problematic modem... SB6121 and SB6141 have major problems... do a quick search and you can find a lot of posts about this.

TWC has also now use IPv6... that can ruin.

See the instructions for installation (same as comcast for TWC).

  • HP OfficeJet 3830: 3830 HP wireless printer is offline in "sleep mode" and don't wake up to print

I've just set up a HP OfficeJet 3830 as a printer connected to my network wireless domestic (Airport Extreme Base Station router 802.11ac wireless). I was able to print-out of my MacBook, but when the printer goes into sleep mode, it appears offline and unresponsive to print. I have to restart the printer for her to appear online and respond. The printer will be in the basement, so it would be very inconvenient down to reboot just to print it. Kind of defeated the purpose of a wireless printer. I tried to disable the sleep mode to see if it works, but sleep mode settings cannot be disabled in the printer preferences. I already spent 3 hours to solve this problem.

I contacted HP technical support to solve the problem. The person told me restore default settings and then unplug the power to the printer and the router wireless for 30 seconds. After restarting the router, then the printer, we have connected the printer to the network with a static IP address. Who did the trick. Even if the printer is in "sleep" for several hours, it has not disappeared in offline mode, as it is done before. Problem solved for now. Hope this helps others.

  • BEFSX41 1.52.16 ignores the DNS settings

    Hi all

I think I have found quite a serious problem (for me) with the latest firmware BEFSX41 (v 1.52.16.4).

All first Base: the router is connected directly to a cable modem and gets it's IP through DHCP. My ISP uses DNS servers who harvest unknown DNS names and redirects them to a server which offers suggested sites. The biggest problem is that it can return a public IP address when you are looking for a name for a server in my VPN and causes all my VPN traffic get routed to public IP addresses.

The solution is to configure the router to use (sometimes provided by my ISP) DNS servers that do not have this behavior. This worked great by setting these servers on the settings page in the BEFSX v1.52.10.

The problem occurred when I updated the firmware (hoping it would fix more problems than he solved) to version 1.52.16. The new version now does not take into account the configured DNS settings and always use the assigned DNS servers DHCP protocol.

My question is therefore of two parts:

    1. Where can I find a (reliable) download of the 1.52.10 firmware, so I can get my VPN works again? Or is there a better version of firmware I should use that would have this problem fixed?
    2. What is the best way to ensure Linksys is aware of the issue, so that I can get fixed in the next update?

    Thank you!

According to what features are most important to you, new firmware on the router is certainly not always better!

Here is a place where to try for your BEFSX41:

    http://BEFSX41.flogator.org/doku.php?id=stock

Anyone no matter what firmware for the BEFSR41 v4.3 that allows traffic logging feature to actually exit traffic data?

    See you soon!

But as soon as I press the flash button to integrate the fourth participant, I get a busy signal. And after checking a bit, I realized that we can lecture material to add more than 3 participants, using the dsp resources. I try first using special config... But after that I'll try algo meet me Conference.

I tried to configure using a setup guide, but so far I'm still trying :/

Can anyone help? See my config attached to the race and conference.

    Thank you very much

    Alan.

    Hello

Your ephone model is not configured properly to meet - me Conference...

Use this link to set up properly...

softkeys seized Endcall recompose Meetme Cfwdall Pickup enable MeetMe softkey in State entered/won

connected softkeys ConfList Confrn Endcall hold join Park RmLstC select Trnsfer

  • VSwitches distributed several required?

    Hello

I am fairly new to work with distributed vSwitches and plan to implement one in my environment.  It's difficult because we have developed our environment to have four groups separated in two physical locations.  Each cluster is physically composed of a single speaker, it's own network, physical storage and hosts.

The idea behind this is that each cluster is largely on schedule, and if ever we want to extract one and ship it offshore to another location physical we could do.  This makes the question of how implement a somewhat confusing distributed vSwitch.

Each group has its own NFS storage.  The hosts in a cluster have any visibility for storage in another cluster (this is why we cannot migrate between clusters).  When you plan the deployment of our distributed vSwitch I would use a single dVS if possible (I think I understand, that it is recommended?).

My question is, can I use a single vSwitch distributed without giving visibility of cluster storage hosted on other clusters?  Or should I create a vSwitch distributed for each cluster?

    Thank you.

Both methods will work - a unique vDS or one per cluster. In reality, it does not matter from the perspective of the host, the purpose of using a single vDS would make life easier on you (make a change instead of X changes). If your level of comfort or security team dictates a vDS for each cluster, that is fine too.

If you had a single vDS and guests have been on it, it does mean that they can talk to each other. A vDS is just a common management point - this is the configuration of these exchanges that you manage with a vDS, finally traffic must always leave the uplinks to your base for routing switches. If your storage space is not accessible from one cluster to another, because the physical network does not allow, you are still isolated.

  • The standardization of the distributed and unit-of-order ISSUE

    Hello

I will in the following document and I have a few questions on this basis
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E17904_01/Web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm

    1.
Based on the above, if a unit-of-order jms message is sent to a uniform distributed topic, Weblogic sends the message that one of the members of destination topic. Is it also correct to assume that messages will not be transmitted to other members of topic destination even if the redirection policy is set to "REPLICATED"?

    2.
In addition, the document above (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm#i1041061) mentions a limitation when using uniform distributed QUEUE and unit-of-order with hash routing function. That is to say
+ "If a member of queues distributed has a unit-of-control partner and is inaccessible, the producer sends the message will throw a JMSOrderException and messages are not routed to other distributed queue members. +.

However, the document does not mention what would be a behavior under the same scenario when using uniform distributed TOPIC (the use of hash-based routing)? will it be the same behavior with uniform SUBJECT distributed as well? Can you please clarify this

3 Please refer to the section of the document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13727/uoo.htm#i1044686, where it is said that + 'unit-of-Order messages are processed one at a time' +. This means that any operation batch parameter specified on the MDB (listening on the subject) will be ignored and that a message will be processed at a time?

    Kind regards

I somehow implies that the behavior of publish/subscribe violates the contract PUA? In an RTD or a PDT, messages for the same AUP can of course be copied on multiple subscriptions. The ranking of the AUP of transformation within a given subscription is maintained.

That said, there are only two cases where I remember off-the-top of my head that PUA command can easily be violated:

-As you mentioned, no transactional section BMD in compatibility mode that max-beans-in free-pool greater than 1 more run in a thread pool with more than 1 thread available in the MDB. IIRC, compatibility mode is not supported with Stdp, this restriction does not apply to the Stdp. It's good to know you already noticed this in the docs.

-Distributed queues that allow "transfer queue". I know it's documented too, but I don't remember where.

I do not remember the existence of special restrictions on the use of PUA in combination with the PDT. Hash-based routing applies on the way of the shipment and has the same behavior on a like on a TDR or a UDQ TMP. Ditto for the track of basis of Routing Service.

    Kind regards

    Tom

  • Using the base station airport ONLY as a backup, but is not a router

Hi, I have a simple question that I can't find an answer. I want to use my Airport only base like a time capsule, and not as a wifi hotspot. I'm in a wfi environment that does not have any router, my wifi just to join a wireless network in my office environment. Previously, I worked in an office where I ran a cable DHCP in my airport base station and then he joined with wifi. Now, I just want to use the airport as a backup. Answers to this question involve disable wifi from the airport and hit an ethernet cable from the router to the airport base station. I do not have a router. So is it possible that I can get the device from the airport, make back ups wireless, all at the same time be connected to a wireless network? I'm guessing that the answer is no.

Unfortunately, your proposal of "no" is correct.

However, you could configure the airport Time Capsule (ATC) to create a wireless network (without Internet access) and save on the Time Capsule wireless.

Of course, to do this, when you want to save, you need to log on to your 'normal' wireless network and connect wireless provided by ATC.  Once the backup is complete, then you'll need to sign the CTA wireless and log on to your normal wireless network.

All things considered, it would be much easier to invest in a USB low price and connect the HDD directly on your Mac. In this way, you can stay connected to your wireless network normal and backups occur automatically.
