  • Random restarts when 60% or less of battery, the phone turns off when fully charged

    Hello!

I need help! I used my new Sony Xperia Z3C for 4 days now. It came with the update of the lollipop.

Everything worked very well when I opened it, but not for long. It began to restart more frequently and whatever it may be, home button, typing a PIN code screen lock, using any application or will it mark the beginning just as it is in stand by! Crazy.

After that the frustration I was hoping that it was a software issue because I can solve. I started with the PC Companion and after that the same update. OK, I thought that the version is the problem. I went with the old versions of the firmware of the lollipop. Again, same thing, after some time of phone use start to restart uncontrolably. Very well, very well, I thought good Lollipop is the problem, I need to go with Kit Kat. I did this and after successful startup and app instalation, account record and everything, guess what. RESET!

Then I noticed the strangest thing, when I'm in charge the phone, it works like a charm, and when it is almost full. When we empty the battery from 60 percent level it started to reboot again, and this happens every time. When I load it again it works fine until that 60% again. Another odd thing, is that the phone is turned OFF completely when he is at 100% load.

    Can I fix at home?

Sounds like hardware. Maybe your computer is overheating, and other components could certainly be at fault.

  • How will I know if my battery charged at 40-70% on my Aspire V 15?

I have an Acer Aspire V 15.  It seems that the lithium Ion battery must be charged at 40-70% of the battery, but I don't know how to judge that?  How will I know when my battery is charged enough to remove it from the laptop?  My battery light shows blue (fully charged when the power supply cord is connected, but it turns off when I remove the power cord.)

It is another way to check the battery level. Why people suggest to charge the battery at about 70% is simple. 100% charge level is a 'stress' of the battery keep this level of load. A lower level of load is not so stressful for the battery. But as I told you, you have nothing to indicate clearly on what level to charge your battery, at least not on laptop computers acer laptop. Some computers laptops sony had this option for implementation in their material.

  • MS A30 - battery charging when I plug in the power cable

    Hello

I'm having some problems with (I think) on my A30 power management utility. When I am running on battery power and I plug in the power cable, the battery continues to discharge even if the laptop 'knows' that it runs on the power grid (ie the utility says "current generator: alternating current.") "Online, discharges: 82%. Strangely, if I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', then resume, she goes back to normal (i.e. working on current alternative, the battery charges).

It is true, I think that this began after I installed "PC Pitstop optimize Scan" www.pcpitstop.com (please, not conferences - I used a couple of their public services before and they were very good, so I thought it would be too much), so I guess it's some sort of configuration problem, but I have no idea where to go from here. I went through all the options on the power management utility, but they all look sensitive. Any ideas (other than do not install software stupid, doubtful)?

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

I experienced this behavior on my A30 where the system says it works on current alternative, but still drains the battery and stops eventually.

In my case the problem has proved to be a loose DC Jack that sometimes cuts off contact with the socket on the back of the laptop. This momentary loss of power DC seems to provoke the power management utility switch to battery power, even though the DC power is restored. The only way out of this situation is to Hibernate / restarting the laptop.

I think that it is a problem with the power supply subsystem in the laptop that does not react properly when it encounters a momentary loss of DC. Then the Toshiba power management utility is no longer responds correctly and switches to the battery power.

My only solution to this was to anchor the DC cable to the back of my A30 so that there is now no chance of the plug DC moving in its socket. This has proved to be very effective for my A30 and I've had no recurrence of the problem.

  • How to control the battery charge when you are connected to the power adapter?

I post here because I want to know if there is any software option that I can use to control on my load while I use the charger and the dough.

    EXPLAIN

You know in IBM ThinkPad there are some utilities can help you master the power to CUT the battery charge and keep on the power of the charger and the battery is always on standby if it is OFF the bettery then work and never lose anydata

I want to control the load while I'm working with battery and charger at the same time.

    I hope that claire ;)

    Hello

It of not possible to control the battery charge using any software.
The battery will begin to charge if the adapter has been connected to the laptop and it will stop the charge process after the adapter has been disconnected or if the battery is full.

  • ages 7 months and a battery that will not hold a charge for at least 10 minutes

My HP pavilion Entertainment PC is 7 months old and a battery that will not hold a charge for at least 10 minutes.  In addition, the battery icon says "fully charged, do you replace battery.»

With batteries which cost $129, I'm a little ticked off.  I can't find information - anywhere on this site!

The guarantee covers a dead battery?

I bought 5 HP because of their excellent warranty.  But this, honesty, will be my last, if the battery is not covered.

Wow, awesome!  Thank you very much!  The only thing you could have said or done was better deliever the new battery!

  • The battery charge falls even when it is plugged into the satellite series

I have a laptop satellite and although it recognizes the power adapter when it is connected and that the icon in the taskbar shows "load", the percentage of the battery charge seems down.

It is only while the laptop is turned on, because it does not charge the battery when it is turned off.
I didn't know that he used the power of the battery so that hip, so I'm puzzled by this not only why the battery doesn't seem to be in charge, but also why the battery seems to fall once the laptop doesn't have to use it anyway.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello

I saw this problem on my own laptop in the past. even if the laptop is charging, the battery seems to fall in charge.

This indicates that the battery life is coming to an end, there are a limited number of cycles of load for a battery before it dies.
Also when you have the computer is off fresh is always lost at a considerable pace, because the battery is good, "die."

You can't do anything on this issue except to buy a new replacement battery for your laptop computer to a repair center authorized Toshiba. This should answer your question.

    Windows Vista.

    Problem:

Well my laptop around 1 year and something weird started happening a few days back... whenever my laptop unplugged and reached 46% battery charge it suddenly turns OFF... after that whenever I try to start to just the screen where it tells u whether to start windows normally or not... and turns off again... the only way to pitch it up is to plug the adapter sector and then it starts normally. I tried to calibrate the battery using the bios, but this option is not there in my laptop... try manually is not useful because it disables always when it reached 46%... so I can not entirely drain my battery.

someone has an idea of what is my problem?

Then replacing the battery is what you need to do. You should be able to get a replacement battery has a reasonable price online. There is no obligation to buy an original HP battery.

  • L50 - B satellite will not start when the battery is completely discharged

    Hello

My Toshiba L50 - B won't start when the battery is fully drained but connected to the power outlet.
I try to work most of the time on the battery to keep the battery in good shape, but when I forgot to turn off the battery drains and the system will not start when I plug in the adapter.

The battery charge indicator is orange light as it should. Only when the battery is fully charged to 100%, it will run at startup and function normally after that. I tried to turn on the laptop several times during the charge cycle, but only when the charge indicator changes from yellow to white it starts. Tested for 2 bodies.

My old Toshiba always immediately turned on when I plugged the adapter even when the battery has been completely drained. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Thanks for responding... I hope well :-)

    Toshiba L50 - B
    Windows 8.1
Any standard/original setting since I only acquired this laptop a month ago.

The laptop should light up if the power adapter is plugged in and power the laptop corectly any if the battery is empty or during charge.

Please check the version of the BIOS that is available on your mobile phone and compare with the BIOS available on the page of the Toshiba UE driver
Maybe you need to update the BIOS, but to be honest, the history seems really odd to me and I m afraid that there could be some power supply electronic problem

So in the worst case, the laptop must be checked by authorized service provider.

  • Satellite P100-188: tips on battery charges

I just bought a Satellite P100-188 and this is my first laptop, it says in the manual "once the battery is fully charged, it is recommended that you use the computer only on battery power until the battery completely discharges.» This prolongs the life of the battery and helps to ensure accurate monitoring of the battery capacity"and"leave the AC adapter plugged in will shorten battery life. At least once a week, power the computer on battery power until the battery is completely discharged and then recharge the battery."

I was wondering if I should unplug it sector whenever that appears the battery charged? I only need to use the PC on batteries for short periods of time (most of the time I can connect to a power outlet) it would completely remove the battery and running on current alternative alone (even do that?)

in these moments, I know that the batteries have a finite charge time and I am just a little worried about the procedure to follow if there is place for long battery life, because they can be quite expensive to replace. So it is wise to place the battery on charge when it displays as power by half or a quarter, or should I let it drain completely before recharging?

I would appreciate some advice from all you seasoned users of laptops out there.

    Hello

You should treat a battery as if it was in the manual.
Completely load, use it until it is empty, then charge again.

Only connect the laptop to power if necessary (means that the battery is empty).

    Good bye

  • X120e Battery Charge problem

    Hello

I bought my x120e about a month ago and it's been great since, but recently I had problems with the battery. When I charge the battery to 100% and then unplug the power adapter, the battery is fine for an hour or two, and load will decrease to a normal and regular rhythm (indicated by the percentage). However, when the battery is at 75-80%, then he jumps abruptly up to 10%, and I get a message that I have to charge the cell phone or turn it off. When I connect and start loading again, the battery charges at a normal speed of about 10 to 40%, but the same thing happens and it jumps up to 100%, saying it is fully charged. Generally, I would be happy with such a fast charge, but in this case the battery is not really full as soon, he dies suddenly after that I have unplug the adapter. Even if I let it continue loading at 100%, the same thing happens.

So, I was wondering if I could do something to fix this on my own, or if I should send it just come back on the one year warranty. Please tell me if I did not know by describing the problem and thanks for any help/suggestions!

I just wanted to post an update. I thought that my explanation of my problem of battery gave a negative perception of the ThinkPad x120e and lenovo in general, but I called the customer service of lenovo today and after 15 minutes, the representative has verified the problem (battery was indeed defective) and sent a new battery in my house. Overall, I am very satisfied, and I think that this problem of battery was only an isolated case. The battery is supposed to come in 2 days!

Should I let my battery charger permanently connected?

    Hi pjk1954.

It depends on you to have the AC adapter is plugged into the computer or remove when the battery is fully charged. However, what allows to stay in charge of the AC adapter / CC of the computer will have no negative impact on the computer or the battery.
