Battery Tecra 520 CDT

Now I have two computers TECRA 520 CDT that will not charge the battery.

The batteries are in good condition (a new) and can be loaded on another machine of CDT 520 by using the same charger, then the 'dead' machine will work and the charger to maintain the battery.

This problem can be repaired and if so by whom?

Hello

> This problem can be repaired and if so by whom
If you are sure that this problem is not related to the defective battery, then it must be a problem of laptop computer at 100%.
Who knows why the battery may not charge maybe there is something wrong with the motherboard or only some pins of the battery are not connected correctly.

What is the battery LED lights up when you insert the battery into the device and unplug the AC adapter?

If not then that would mean that the battery is not recognized and this would mean that there is something wrong with the laptop
In this case, the machine must be checked by a technician for laptop
You should contact the ASP from Toshiba (certified partner)

  • RAM for Tecra 740 CDT

    I just bought an old laptop TECRA 740 CDT on eBay to travel without fear. Aries is in fact of 64 or 80 MB (to be confirmed) and I want to bring to 144 MB (at most, I think).

    What kind of RAM do I use (SIMM?) and it's easy to do it yourself? Thanks for any tip and the thing!

    Hello

    I found the info that you need module memory 128 MB of the PA2046U. Check it out!

    By the way: I can confirm that 144 MB of RAM is the max, you can use on this good old classic.

  • Tecra 550 cdt - charging battery.

    Hello
    How can I tell if my laptop is in charge batteries - battery is a dud - and the battery life is very good, but the laptop will not charge the battery?
    Thank you

    Hello

    I put t know if I understand you right but it looks like that your laptop is unable to charge the battery. Am I wrong?
    Well, first of all, you must check if your adapter is ok and if the laptop works with the main power supply.
    If it s clear then you can try to check the connection of the battery PIN. Remove the battery for a while and once again put it several time.
    Then check if the battery may charge.
    If not, if it is possible that the battery is dead. In this case, you should check if the new battery will solve your problem.
    It is also possible that there is something wrong with the loading of electronic drums. In this case I recommend to contact Toshiba service partner in your country. Guys should check the laptop.

    By the way; You can buy the battery compatible also with the service partner.

  • Has the option of controlling battery Tecra M11-103?

    I've seen Dell Vostro my brother and it has a feature that when you plug your laptop to AC you can jump the battery, so he lives more than if you go out.

    I have a Tecra M11-103. Have this feature?
    Thnx

    Hi lamacova,.

    I agree with Quad, such an option is not available I think. I've never heard

    But in general the battery will pay no more if it s at full charge. So it of not necessary to remove the battery. :)

  • Tecra 500 CDT does not start. Please help with CP

    Hi all

    I have an old Tecra CDT of 500 which, up until yesterday, worked fabulously. Now for some reason it starts at all. No matter how long you push the Start button on the side, he shows no signs of life at all. It's been hot here lately so I wonder if it's suffering "heat exhaustion! Seriously, clues as to what could have caused this problem and how to overcome it would be greatly appreciated. It has been used much more recent than usual and for hours. Is this likely to have helped him give up the ghost?

    I hope someone out there can help.

    Thank you
    Dynamo-dom

    Hi Dominic,

    It would seem that your laptop has developed a hardware failure, either with the current power switch the PSU internally. I think that your only action now is to contact a service partner and ask them a price that it be repaired.

    Good luck

  • Battery Tecra M11-130 with not power and the fan runs constantly

    We are having a problem with the battery on one of our laptops. When left for an hour or two the laptop turns off because the battery is dead. We have mounted a battery new but still only get about 1.5 hours.
    In addition, the fan runs continuously. I looked at the PC Healthcheck software which shows as follows:
    * Power *.
    Other costs 14%
    40% of energy consumption system
    Good battery
    * Temperature and fan *.
    CPU temperature 67%
    System internal temperature 56%
    88% fan speed

    I would like suggestions.

    > We have mounted a battery new but still only get about 1.5 hours.

    1.5 hours is a common value, you should consider that dough working time depends on its portable use.

    Battery needed to dump a lot faster if the CPU would be stressed out a lot in your case, that something could run in the background, lose power CPU performance and the dough.

    In addition, you said that the fan runs constantly this could discharge the battery too.
    Therefore, it would be interesting to know what process emphasizes the central unit.

    Start the Task Manager and check the processes tab. In the CPU column, you can find the process that emphasizes the central unit.

    In addition, to change the settings for the CPU performance and cooling of the activities in the options of Win 7 powers that would help to increase the performance of the battery.

  • Tecra 540 CDT: keyboard does not work properly

    Hi people

    Just bought a 540cdt Tecra second hand and the keyboard is a bit strange - A key does not work and some of the keys seem to make things weird-UPDATE prints an exclamation mark and key END operates caps lock etc. I don't know if it's a keyboard of knakckered or whether the same strange keyboard configuration has been made. If it's a flat keyboard will install a replacement to solve the problem?

    Also, is it possible to replace the CD drive with a DVD - ROM drive. From the looks of it all DVD players I have met seem to be model specific.

    See you soon

    Peter

    Hello

    Maybe your operating system has keyboard settings wrong country.
    Check in the control panel settings. But for me, it looks more like a keyboard or a keyboard controller failure.
    Perhaps also loses the keyboard cable.
    I don't know if only a new keyboard will solve the problem. I think the detailed diagnostic test is necessary.
    If you want to upgrade your laptop with DVD drive, please check first if it is taken in charge and compatible. If you install the disc is not compatible, then you will get an IDE error and the BIOS does not recognize the drive.

  • Information tool battery Tecra - Cycles and Production Date

    Hello world

    I'm looking for a tool of battery, which reads the entire stack information. Aspecially the Production Date, first used Date and charge cycles. Is there a tool available by Toshiba or another Freeware tool? Will there be another opportunity to read this information?
    Generally, the battery Toshiba does not have this information? All I know is the ability to watch all this information with IBM, they use the BatteryMaximiser, which shows all the info. I searched the web but have not found anything. Help, please.

    Best regards

    Hi Matty

    It is unclear to me that there are some tools available by Toshiba battery. Can you please tell me why you need so much information? There no enough information in the power management?

    Hello

    In my opinion, this is caused by a malfunction of the equipment.
    I found an interesting article about this Microsoft Knowledge Base.

    16 MB RAM Part number: PA2039U

    64 MB RAM Part number: PA2044U

  • Noise noisy fan on Tecra R850 (HDD vs SDS)

    _Computer_
    * OS *: Windows 7 64-bit
    * Toshiba * Tecra R850
    * Processor *: Core i7 2620M Sandy Bridge
    * AMD HD6450M Grafik *:
    * BIOS *: version 3.90

    Gentlemen.

    in our society, we use the portable Toshiba Tecra for 3 months.
    The fan noise is to us aloud, you always hear the fan sitting a meter away from the computer (no CPU load).

    What helps a little was to change in the
    Control Center Power Options (change Plan settings-> change advanced power-> TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings-> cooling method settings * to * + battery + Optimized).

    But you can still hear the fan turning at 40%-45% when the CPU/system temperature is 40 degrees Celsius.

    On the guy last week also receives a new laptop of Toshiba R850, it is very quiet.
    The difference is that, in his notebook, an SSD is installed (instead of a HARD drive).

    If the SDS make the difference of fan noise? (we do not believe it).

    Maybe someone has had the same experience and has a solution?

    Thanks in advance

    Respect,
    VILSG

    Hi Paulo

    Thanks for the useful comments Paulo. Are there more positive things after replacing HARD drive?
    You may notice faster access to the SSD and performance of mobile in general?
    What is with the consumption of energy when you use your battery Tecra?

  • Satellite Pro 120 VRAB A8 battery replacement.

    I searched for any site that has batteries spare for my laptop model and all I can find are adapters CA / CC. Is someone can you please tell me where I can get my particular laptop battery? Or even if Toshiba still sell? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Usually, each part of the laptop has a part number. If you put this part number in Google, you will find many online stores where you can order spare parts.

    Battery Tecra A8/Satellite Pro 120 reference number is PA3285U. Put in Google PA3285U Tecra A8 and I hope you find what you need.
