BB 9700 OS6 lag blackBerry smartphones

BlackBerry 9700, 6.0 Bundle 1202 (v6.0.0.344, platform 6.6.0.50)

Hello! I am a user of BlackBerry 9700 and I have recently (2 months now) charged the OS6 in my handset of BB. I did it because my phone had been delayed while I was on the OS5 and after that I loaded the new OS6, it was fine and very smooth.

However, I have a bad shift; When I type my texts the phone hangs for a while if I'm always typing and the letters all come out a few seconds late. The black clock appears often enough, and the drawee of regular battery does not solve the problem.

I read the other posts on the forums about this and the CPU usage; However, I don't use all the apps that take a lot of place. My WhatsApp messages tend to lag too, they are sent the day before but I only get them to a battery pull the next day. Without a battery pull I could never receive them. I know it could be my wireless 3G service, but I'm normally on the WiFi everywhere I go, and it still happens.

Would appreciate any help. Thank you!

You use maybe not a lot of apps that take a lot of space (as in physical memory) but a small application that can take place, say 500Ko, can still play the part of the memory of your phone that runs the application to work havoc.

On your home screen, tap on and hold the menu key, which is the BB button to the left of the trackpad.  The list that appears will show you what applications you have running.  As a general rule, you'll have the phone, Messages, browser running, but nothing beyond that is chewing your memory.

In case you weren't aware, the closing of applications with the red phone key is a no-no; only the least possible made the application in the background without arresting him.

Press and hold the menu key, as I suggested.  All the apps beyond those above should be closed by opening the application, press the menu key and select close or exit.

Once you have closed as many apps as possible, do a battery pull and see if your life is much better after that.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Bold 9700 will not ring

Hello guys. I have a problem with my BB Phone. It does not ring. When people try to contact me, it just doesn't sound. I have v.5.0.0.586. I tried rebooting by removing the battery, but still the same problem. Could someone help me please?

    Hi BiancaBogdan

It's fine if your device passes self-test.

Have you tried to change your ringtone to any default ringtone?

If the problem persists, then it could be a software problem, but this is my personal advice to stay on OS 5, because the Bold 9700 doen't have enough memory to run OS6, you can install it on your Bold 9700 OS6 but you will have to confront the issue with little memory, will not be able to install the application a lot , multiple tabs, you may experience problems such as freezing and trolling device. I suggest that you should stay on OS5 and try to perform a clean OS Reload that will correct any software problem.

first make a backup of your device using desktop software:

KB12487 : How to backup BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry desktop software for Windows

Then follow this KB to recharge your device software:

KB11320  : How to perform a reload own BlackBerry Device using BlackBerry desktop software for windows software

After charging, do not restore any 3rd party application from your backup, choose a selective restore, restore only your Contacts, calendar, memo etc. Check your device and see if the problem resolves. If the problem continues then you can start with the native BlackBerry application and continue with the others.

Try it and tell us your progress.

Then I can transfer these items to my curve 9320.

    Thank you.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to update BlackBerry App World on Bold 9700

I use a BlackBerry Bold 9700 BlackBerry OS version 5.1.0.121 with BlackBerry Device Software version 5.0.0.442.

When I click on the BlackBerry App World on my camera icon, I get the following message:

"To continue to use BlackBerry App World, you must upgrade your current version. For more information, please visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/support. »

So, I click on the upgrade button. My BlackBerry browser then launches automatically and tries to open the "'http://appworld.blackberry.com ' page." However, whenever I tried this, the page may not load in Black Berry browser and remains off. I tried to leave my phone for increments of 10-15 minutes to load the page, but after several attempts, I was never able to open the page successfully. I still get a blank page.

So, I visited the next page on my desktop: http://ca.blackberry.com/apps/app-world/download.html.

I tried the first method of sending the URL on my device, but it ended up with the same result described above when I tried to access the URL that was sent to me. The BlackBerry browser displays a blank page.

I then tried the second method described on http://ca.blackberry.com/apps/app-world/download.html. I connected my device to my computer via a USB cable and clicked on the download, it affects today by following the instructions on the page. But, when I clicked on the button, I was led to a "Mode not available" page that says the following:

"Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site using the browser of your BlackBerry® smartphone. »

So my problem is cyclical. The page that I need to access the site to download the App World can not load in my BlackBerry browser and I can't download the product via USB either. This seems to be a bug, and I want to report it to Research In Motion.

If anyone has any advice on how to solve this problem, it would be much appreciated.

The solution described on http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-World/Can-t-upgrade-BB-World-I-think/m-p/2485451 solved this problem. Thank you, sdgardne!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones please help, 9700 won't turn on

As I was talking on my relatively new Bold 9700, she is just completely dead! The battery is charged but the screen and everything happened to be just black. It will not turn on. I removed the battery and put it back in and the only response that she led red coming for a few minutes then detach.

    Any suggestions please?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

See this KB to see if any of the symptoms match yours:

    • KB18223 Behavior of the charge BlackBerry smartphone

If the battery discharged spontaneously, that would actually cause for alarm. If your symptoms match something, then likely recommendation is to reload for a while (at least 2 hours, IMO) and then see if your BB is back to normal. If the behavior persists, consult a warranty evaluation.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones email does not not on 9700

    Hello

Hoping someone can help me here.

I'm trying to fix Bold 9700 from my mother-in-law.  I know that I had this same problem with my 9700 old a few years ago, but don't remember how I fixed it.

Its BB was working fine, then emails came only sporadically.  She called Rogers, technical support and they told him to do a full restore.  After the full restoration, she has absolutely no email and when you click on the e-mail configuration in the installation section it goes absolutely nowhere... almost as if it has never been activated.

    I tried

-a reload of the operating system available (same problem)

-a return of service books (an email comes through recorded everything, but then nothing else comes through)

All the other features of the phone seem to work perfectly.  The person of Rogers told him that the problem was because the phone is old and it's broken and won't work anymore.  I do not subscribe to this belief and am sure that we can get it up and going again for her.

So can offer help here on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the community!

You have tried a lot of things... Here's a little more perhaps.

You may want to consider using BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe there is able to... sometimes a clean WIPE of this kind, followed by the reload of the operating system, can help.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

In addition, after each attempt reloading, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is this a problem with my Bold 9700 flash memory?

A few annoying problems recently with my Bold 9700.

First, my Blackberry has suddenly started to massively delete recent appointments in my calendar, which will attempt to remove them from my Outlook calendar when I synchronize the device to my laptop.  This has not happened before, and I checked to make sure that the schedule is set to never delete nominations, and it is set correctly.

Second, my Blackberry App World application (both on the device and online) does not display one of my installed applications, except one, but they are all still on the device and working properly.  I'm 18 apps installed from BB App World, beyond the pre-installed applications on the device, which are less than 10 MB in total size.

The reason I think that the problem could be linked to the internal flash memory is that whenever I want to install an application, I usually get a message indicating there is enough memory and I have to uninstall some other applications to free up space.  When I checked my memory earlier, he said that had less than 1 MB.  I restarted the machine and now it tells me there is 12.2 MB of available space, which always seems incredibly low for me since I installed only about 10 MB of my own applications.  So, I delete the file all attachments of the device and do not keep e-mail on the device beyond 30 days, and all media is stored on flash cards, not in the device memory.

The most important question I have to solve is how to prevent the device to delete data from calendar (it keeps recurring appointments, but has been deleted and everything before about two weeks ago).

    Hello

It's an automatic protection mechanism with BBs. During the AppMemory (not the device, no media memory card memory) get low, the BB must start deleting things to preserve its ability to operate. Unfortunately, he really can't go after data... it can't really go after installed applications. Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
      • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB10183 E-mail messages are removed from the BlackBerry device until the messages expire

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now, AppMemory is not just for the apps... the real BB operating system is here as well. Depending on the options you have included, which might be things bloating as well.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Compression - enabled

Map of media Support - on

Mass Storage Mode Support - on

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone

You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

I hope that this info is another starting point for you!

There is no setting in the BB OS change on a file write protection. Therefore, you cannot do it with the BB... If you are not ready to connect it to any PC (maybe even the Internet infected PC coffee it?), then format the card with the BB command is your next step. Maybe you can remove the BB and using a card reader on a PC instead of mass storage Mode?

    Raestloz wrote:

The error is indeed explicit... somehow, this received file write protection on it the BB OS recognizes exactly as he said. How it happened? It would be a totally different matter of course... as well, since everyone here is volunteer 'out there', the other user nothing here you receive can be considered as authoritative beyond your level of confidence what information you receive.
