BB user new blackBerry Smartphones is a * beep *!

I am a * beep * or what?  Could someone help me please with these 2 queries?

I recently got the BB Curve 8520 and I am doing 2 things:

(1) how the hell can I activate my Messenger?  When I try to load someone PIN, it does not allow letters and numbers.

(2) how to turn off my email.  I tried the option "phone only", but I always get emails.

Kind regards

Sean

When you're in the PIN code input window screen, are you some but allows numbers, or does allow numbers and some LETTERS as a, b, c, d, e, f...?

When this windown, press the ALT key, you can enter letters?

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

By 'User ID' do you mean the user name or the email as your opportunity for your BlackBerry ID?

There are many ways to reset our password BlackBerry ID as well as to change or update the password for the username or email that we use for our BlackBerry ID however... If the user name or the email we use for your BlackBerry ID is invalid or is not accessible, then we're stuck!

You can try to call your carrier to see if they can help you with this situation, if this fails, then there is no other choice, but you must create and use a new complete BlackBerry ID using a valid Email address. Refer to this help Knowledge Base:

KB26694  :  How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

However... In doing so, you will lose access to any of your paid apps you've purchased from BlackBerry World.

    Good luck.

Hi @Jenny7733! Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

You will need to perform an erasure of security on the device first before you can connect with a new BlackBerry ID credentials Please see: How to delete all data and applications from the smart phone BlackBerry with the optio security wipe...

Don't forget to make a backup because it will erase all your data. Good luck!

  • Transfer contacts from blackBerry to a new BlackBerry Smartphones

Everything that I gave away my old BlackBerry Bold 9000 is the backup IPD files (I have the phone).   Can I transfer contacts from these backup files in my new BlackBerry Bold 9650?

Hmmm... interesting. OK... Let's try this KB:

  • Users of blackBerry Smartphones Rookie with Feedback

My new BlackBerry Pearl is a wonderful tool for my business - I am is more chained to my desktop and can receive my email, even when I'm at a client site! But I have one criticism which asked each cell phone, I've owned in the last 10 years, and is on the external control keys.

I wish manufacturers of cell phones would add some sort of option of locking for these buttons. Whenever I put my BlackBerry in my pocket, or voice Activator emits a sound, "say a command" repeatedly and without being asked, or the camera takes of many photos of the inside of my pocket, clogging my system memory to the point where I have not sufficient bandwidth to receive emails (Fortunately, I realized that is fast enough to receive a critical message in time). A toggle locking/unlocking, either as a programming mode or a simple hardware switch, could solve these problems and make me a very grateful and loyal customer. Heck, even a lightweight accessory that blocks the buttons (like the "ARO" on a sports bumper car) would do the trick. I thought about sticking band-AIDS on my phone, but I really don't want that he tainted nasty adhesive.

Anyone else out there being aggravated as I am?

Fantastic! Indirectly, it worked. By accessing the site you suggested, I found an even better solution. It actually * is * an option to choose which application these buttons control, including 'nothing. ' I chose 'nothing' with a big smile on my face - problem SOLVED!

  • New BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry

I bought a new blackberry curve 8520 in a few weeks and I still have my previous curve 8520. I want to set up the app on the new world and I want to try to get all the old information was transferred to the new. is this possible?

Yes it is possible to transfer all of your data, such as emails, contacts, applications, etc.

Everything you have to do is connect your old device during execution (bb desktop software) and then click the (peripheral) found in the upper left corner of the application and then click on change of terminal and follow the instructions.

It backs up all data from your previous device and you will be asked of the unplug it and connect a new one to restore all your data that is quite simple and even bbm contacts will be restored too .

BB software is available on your CD to the device, or you can get the blackberry a site shape more up-to-date.

If I helped you, like him.

  • Replacement of BB Phone new blackBerry Smartphones

I had some, but not a lot of Apps on my BB lost/stolen.  Can they be transferred to new BB but how?  Maybe it's too late or I activated my BB incorrectly.  Thanks Dave

    Hi Dave,.

Assuming that you bought your applications via App World, when you receive your new BlackBerry, you can just redownload the App World as long as you use the same ID BlackBerry to connect. Download again them, go to My World and then edit the list of applications to uninstalled. You will find then all your previously purchased/installed apps, available for redownload. If you bought them through a different service, like Mobihand, you will need to submit a request to change the PIN code, but once you do this, you can re-download them as well.

In addition, if you do not already made, make sure that you make your BlackBerry as lost/stolen Bell so that they can cancel the service, etc. from your old device.

    I hope this info helps!

  • The mail icons new blackBerry Smartphones

I have no unread messages, but there are two icons of mail on the screen. One leans to the right with a red 'x' in the upper right.  The other seems normal and the number goes down I read a message.  I deleted all my messages, but said leaning box 7 and the normal box says 1.

    Thank you

If maisl isn't here as stated above then you must erase your SMS database.

To clear the TEXT completely check following the steps:

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    3. Double-click on the backup and restore, and then click Advanced.
    4. In the list of device databases, select the appropriate database.  For your problem, select SMS.
    5. Click clear.
    6. In the warning window, click OK.

Don't forget to have if you erase your SMS as mentioned above, then all Messages will be lost and cannot be extracted unless you have a backup.

  • Curve BlackBerry new blackBerry Smartphones 9380

Hello, I just got myself a new blackberry 9380, I put in place and put it on charge how long should I charge for the fourth time first to say different things by different people

You have even to load the first time, even if it's a good idea if the battery is close to death.

The Li - ion batteries are not as the old batteries of type or-Cad who need some charge the first time of use, they have no memory effect.

But anyway, it recharge and use it. You can load 100% and no more. So, never how long that takes...

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

    Hello

Which is usually followed by the battery pull, but try this first.

Click on the BB GO/OPTIONS/SECURITY to enter go to the firewall.

Click on, and then press menu. Select reset all counts.

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

  • Bb user new blackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphones help with installation of the Email

I can't understand this. "I have a new 8330 and when I go into the configuration Email options I have 2 options: I want to use a professional email with Blackberry Enterprise Server account" and I want to ignore the e-mail configuration. Shouldn't there be an option to configure an existing e-mail account? I want my Outlook of Comcast.net email to pass on to my BB, but can't seem to find a way to do it. I have setup a BIS account which seems to be configured correctly. I use Desktop manager 4.6 and Outlook 2007 HELPPpp please... It seems there is no option in Fund Manager to implement. And when I set up the synchronization options, it only shows the calendar (which works)

To configure your email go to your phone via the Blackberry Internet Service, there are really only two options: 1) the installer of your phone; or (2) the installer through the website of your mobile phone service provider.  From your phone, search for "Setting up Internet E-Mail" icon, select and it will take you through the steps until the establishment of consumer email.  If you don't see this icon, go to main Menu > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table, press the menu key to the left of your trackball and select "register now".  Pull your battery, wait a few seconds and pop and then reconnecting, which should automatically start the phone.  If the icon is not there, contact your mobile phone service provider, because it cannot be fully implemented in their system yet.

If you try to set up the email on the Blackberry Desktop Manager and you see an 'E-mail settings' icon, and then you installed the BES, not the version BIS of the BB Desktop Manager and you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software.  The key is to choose the second option, the installation options that is for BRI.

    I hope that helps!
