  • Firefox very slow, slow and unresponsive on Windows 8.1

Basically, everything is very slow and each action takes a long time to complete - tabs, switching takes about half a second to a full second (5 seconds if there is another tab currently loading / refreshing), by clicking the Center button of the mouse takes more time, about half a second to a second for the exactly scrolling of arrows is displayed same thing with regularly by clicking on the scroll on the right, Firefox bar pretty much freezes for about a full second before reacting to the click.

I tried to run Firefox with addons disabled, which did not help, which I did not know that he don't would be not since this problem started before I even had the addons - pretty good the second, I installed Firefox.
I have Firefox running on an SSD card and a new installation of Windows 8.1. I tried the two Aurora and nightly (currently using every night), both are just as slow.

I have not tried to reset, because once again, the question was already there during my first installation of Firefox.

Figured out what the problem is - it is a software of DisplayFusion I use to support multiple monitors which is causing the problem. I'll just get an alternative until (if ever) the question ceases to exist.

    Thanks for the help.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.

  • LabVIEW executable becomes insensitive, Windows reports the lack of resources in trying to perform tasks of the Explorer

I have a test program that uses modules of NOR-9481 relay to switch the power part and pass a Keithley 2000 DMM to measure the voltage. This test must feed on and off the part x 3000 for 4 minutes and 4 minutes. I've implemented this drawing using a state machine design style. Timing is done in one minute increments by using the ' find Date/time in seconds ' function available with Labview 8.2. Every minute, a measurement is performed and the data is written to a text file.

    -Algorithm measurements:

-Whatever it is, the instrument is initialized with a reset, between state machine loop

Measurment - function configures Volts DC and relax, (relay switch), send the trigger and read in instrument when SRQ asserts itself

    -Switching algorithm:

-DAQmx create task w/Auto cleanup (T)

-DAQmx create TV - digital output

-Channel - DO property node. Reverse lines = False

-DAQmx generate 1 d digital data

-DAQmx write data w / Auto start (T)

I worked with the devices that we communicate with the bugs and they seem to work normally, but for the second time (yesterday, it was a mistake DAQmx) cycle 131 (17ish hours after the test), the program became unresponsive and windows will not open the Task Manager and windows Explorer reports "insufficient system resources" which tent to open a window. LabVIEW is not report an error...

Currently, I suspect the while loop that controls the timing and am put a WaitTillNextmsMultiple function in the loop the value 500.

I also wonder if the sequence DAQmx consumes memory and eventually consume all system resources.

Create tasks and assign resources once when you start and reuse until finished, then destroy them.

  • Synaptics Touchpad disabled by automatic update of Windows (Dell Inspiron E1505 running Vista)

Some time ago, after Windows has pushed an update, my Synaptics touchpad is not responding.  I didn't know it was the update that was causing the problem in time - only, I discovered that after investing many hours of research on the internet on the topic.  I searched the internet for fixes, without success.  Run support of Dell diagnostics, which indicated that the touchpad is operational, but even in Safe Mode, it is unresponsive in Windows.  Dell has also tried unistalling the drivers and reinstall them later (I presume) drivers for this model, also without success.  Windows restore points is available since a few days, so there is no possibility to restore to a previous update of the State.  Support Dell tells me that now the only solution they can provide is to return to the factory settings.  Missions in various forums around the internet, I know that this isn't an isolated problem, but to get a fix from Microsoft, I have to pay a fortune to support time.  Help!

  • I keep getting messages "Stop running this Script?" who advise they are originally my web browser run slowly. How do I rectify this?

It is not a clear sign of the browser slows down. It does not seem to be limited to any Web site.

Sometimes, this problem is caused by an add-on that begins interacting with the page after most loads content, so you don't notice the problem until you get the message. Can the extension Skype Click-to-Call cause this problem.

In other cases, the problem may be caused by the content of the page.

If you find any model of the script that runs slowly, say Firefox? Script names that start with chrome: / / or resource: / / address either parts of Firefox or an extension. Starting with http:// or https:// usually script names are part of the site you visit.

For more information, you can try our technical support article: script is unresponsive warning - what it means and how to fix it.

Another good cause script errors is unresponsive on Windows Vista and newer is the feature of mode of the Flash player plugin. This feature has the security benefits, but it seems to have serious compatibility problems on some systems. You can disable it using the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. On the right side, find 'Shockwave Flash' and click on the link for more. Then uncheck the box for "Enable Adobe Flash protected mode" and try it for a day to see if that helps you.

  • Dreamweaver CS 5.5 Crash on mode Code

Hi, I have installed CS 5.5 Master Collection Trial on a freshly installed Windows 7 x 64. When you open a file in Dreamviewer it opens in design mode, which is ok and everything works fine but switching mode Code the Dreamweaver is unresponsive and Windows is trying to find a solution to the problem and the only thing I can do is to close the application. I tried to add the html extension so that when opening the file, the file will be opened in Code view immediately, but the help of this n.

I tried to remove the Configuration in Windows for Dreamweaver directory, but that does not help either...

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Thank you!!!

Hi, well it took me a while, but I have maanged to find the solution... and, of course, the problem of this crash. After I installed a few new fonts (that I forgot to mention) switching code view crashes Dreamweaver. So, the solution is:

    (1) power up Dreamweaver and before opening any file/s go to Edition-> Preferences (or CTRL + U).

    2) go to "fonts."

    (3) change the font that is in "Code view" to "Courier new".

    (4) it's she!

    * You can also (and it is advisable) to change "fixed fonts" for "Courier new"!

    (5) restart Dreamweaver (not required) and you should be able to switch from Design view to the Code mode without any problem!

    Sincerely,

    H.

When I try a search using my google toolbar it stops responding and when I open tools > Addons, a window pops up saying script is unresponsive, which is followed by firefox crashing. How can I fix it?

It is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.

If you need help with one of your modules, you will need to contact the author.

If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please be afraid not to follow my instructions to the line, as everything can be easily undone.
