• How to make the address bar behaving like search bar? I mean SMART search, as it implemented in Chrome (very comfortable for users).

  For example when I type a word in the search bar, it begins to give search engine suggestions, so don't HAVE TO TYPE THE ENTIRE SEARCH PHRASE!
  The same behavior is in the address bar of Google Chrome. So in Chrome address bar and search bar are combined into one that is very comfortable for users.
  In Firefox, you have here two different bars, which makes no sense. I used Chrome before and usually by type of force of habit in the address bar to search for something and have to type the whole expression there to begin the search. It is very stupid and using the address bar to the fruitless search.

  So, do we not have any add-on or option to merge or combine the bars or to implement smart search in the address bar?

  Our current file server is the last of the Xserve running 10.6.8.  It's getting up there and if it's the toasted bread, so I am. If I get nervous.

  I waited for a refreshment HW of Deputies and Minis, but none have been forthcoming and I don't see even in Active rumors about them. If Apple decided professional users can take a flying leap which will suck because I'm already doing a HyperV Windows 2012 nightmare and I want more. But I digress...

  Anyone used later (also older than it is) makes Mac Mini with a Promise RAID as a file server for users of more than a dozen? We have a staff of 50 more or less, more use as a store of files for our portal and web server (each on a machine separate with mounted shares) of CrushFTP file sharing.  I would like to know popular experience actually using a Mini to serve that many users and if the aggregation of links to one of the thunderbolt with ethernet port ports actually works.

  Anyone done this? How is the performance?

  Not many users, but one of my clients is written four or five DTV full-HD video streams in couple of tables Promise Pegasus configured RAID-6, and the berries barely noticed the load.   This along with the generation previous Mac Mini.   The limit you will probably hit here, it's how much you can stuff through the Gigabit Ethernet, which probably means using a bolt of lightning for the Ethernet card or two - the bottleneck will be on the LAN side.  But I suspect that you will have to prototype your load in all cases.

  This is my first posting of time on these forums. But for me it is quite an urgent issue.
  This afternoon my laptop (Satellite L500 12th) beeps for 10 seconds. Now, to be a bit lazy and reading a book will excuse me it'd be natural, while the sound was rather piercing. Well, I'll get to the point: I sat down earlier and the laptop just started a sound signal. For each a different length. When this happened the frozen screen and it does not seem like there was a way to disable. I turned off and cool in quite awhile, but now as I started it up it did not at the windows screen until the beep came back and I had to turn it off... This happens every time. IM starting to think that something melted, or it's a virus. But I'm not good at these things!

  Any help on this would be much appreciated, more the better soon.

  Start your laptop and enter the BIOS settings and leave it on this scene. Is anyway laptop beeps?

  My question is General and related to xp and windows 7 as well.

  Can someone explain to me how to manage permissions for users on the network?  It's easy to do the job when I talk to local users, but I can't find a way to add computers to the dialog box object types. I have only options of theses: built-in security principals, users and groups. In the locations list, I see only my computer and cannot find how to add computers to all networks.

  For Windows XP, it makes a difference if "Simple file sharing" is enabled or disabled.  Simple file sharing is * always * activated if you have Windows XP Home Edition and it is the default setting in XP Pro.  Sharing files Simple enabled, * all * users who are connected to a network on your machine are forced to authenticate on the machine as the 'Guest' user - which means that you have no user authentication in Windows Home or XP Pro without disabling Simple file sharing.  This means that every network user has access only to files to the files which has permissions for the Guest user.

  If you have XP Pro and disable Simple file sharing, then you can ask users to authenticate on your local machine and give everyone access to its own set of file permissions.  If the user connects to a network computer that contains the same user name and password that the user is currently logged on the local computer, the authentication is automatic.

  I try to block the user sub-accounts to use anything but a handful of programs under professional XP for my boss and have no idea how to go about on this subject in XP.  Any help would be great.

  The reason why you have 7 beeps for each alarm is due to the setting that you have in the lookout.ini file. This file contains the configurations of lookout. You can open this file with any text editor and change the number of beeps that you want when the alarm is generated. Go to the line with the following text and specify the number of times where you want the alarm sound.

  I have developed some simple games using Marmalade fast during the Marmalade for BlackBerry 10 Port-o-thon and obtained their release denied because of problems when switching of modes of orientation.

  Because of the beta status of 6.2 of Marmalade and jam quick, I would rather stay with on BB10 portrait and landscape on the Playbook.

  There is a way to use some "downloadable ACL" profile of permission but I want to set specific ACLs for some exceptions. For example: the user A and user B obtain permission profile 'X '. But user B is not allowed to access a host. This 'refusal rule' I will configure with custom in the internal user store attributes.

  Is this possible? How can I implement this rule?

  You can do this by following these steps:

  1. define a user attribute of Dictionary defined under the Administration of the system > dictionary > identity > internal users call him what you want and make sure that the value is a string

  2. create the DACL in the objects of the Authority appointed under section of the political elements

  3. under the user account you will see now one filed for the dictionary name you call in step 1, make sure that the domain is the DACL, that you created in step 2

  4. create your dynamic authorization under "common tasks" defined profile as the decline of the low DACL select internal users and set the value to the attribute that you created in step 1.

  5 card authorization policy to the access policy using the conditions that will give you these results.

  6 test and you should have what you are looking for.
