Beginner: Conversion of signals in response

Hello, I'm new on this and could not find sufficient support inside LabView or other messages here.

Since I got it, it's that I need step response Control Design VI.

It appears to require State-Space model it seems that I have to convert my signals oscilloscope in matrices.

This does not however, and I'm afraid that I might not even have the right approach. What should I do to make it work correctly?

Thanks for the help!

Your connection is meaningless. The "Create State-Space" requires you to give the 'model' format 'State Space '. The Signal from your acquisition is not that. If you are really looking to convert a generic signal in a model, you must use the "System Identification Toolkit', which should be available under 'Treatment of Signal' or 'Control and Simulation' palette if you have installed. Here, you will need to use the 'SI estimate transfer function Model' or 'model to estimate State - Space SO"to get the model, use the" IF convert to CDT models "to convert the model with noise deterministc model used by Control Design and the 'step CD response' to calculate the step response of the model. Who should provide the information says that you are looking for.

Now notice that if you are able to control the excitement of your system, then you could simply generate a 'step' in input signal and measure the strength of the signal and looking at the answer, then you should be able to get the response of the system directly...

hope this helps

  • Amplified - Thermocouples - Conversion of signals?

    Hello, I have a question about reading the signal amplified thermoocuples. My thermocouples (type K) will be amplified 100 times signal. The thing is, I am unable to use built in option in the daq Assistant to get the good reading. Because of the amplifiers (those with differential external measurment with three leveled low pass filter with the Cup at the level of 10 Hz (circa)), my thermocouples will work as a simple base (SE).

    My question is: I am able to get the temperature reading in simple steps (daq Assistant) or should I use the acquired signal voltage type and then use a kind of conversion?

    I'm looking forward to seeing no response

    P.S. I found the block-> Convert thermoocuple reading. Must I use it on all channels, or can - I just it wire somehow to the output of data acquisition?

  • Beginner problem Qt - signal clicked() button does not

    Hi guys,.

    I'm sorry to waste time of people with this problem, but it was my * beep * for a while and I really cannot proceed without assistance.

    Basically, I just try to hang a signal clicked() by a button. I've got the button instance, but the connect call returns false and the slot is not called when I click on the button.

    Here is the code:

    Class ApplicationUI: public QObject
    {
    Q_OBJECT
    public:
    ApplicationUI (bb::cascades:Application * app);
    Virtual ~ ApplicationUI() {}

    void GetButtonClickHandler();

    BB::Cascades:button * _getButton;
    };

    ApplicationUI::ApplicationUI (bb::cascades:Application * app)
    : QObject (app)
    {
    QmlDocument * qml = QmlDocument::create("asset:///main.qml").parent(this);
    AbstractPane * root = qml->() createRootObject;
    App-> setScene (root);

    _getButton = root->findChild ("getButton");
    Boolean result = QObject::connect (_getButton, SIGNAL (clicked ()), this, SLOT (GetButtonClickHandler ()));

    _getButton-> setProperty ("text", "Yes");
    }

    Sub ApplicationUI::GetButtonClickHandler()
    {
    _getButton-> setProperty ("text", "clicked");
    }

    ==========

    Default empty project template
    import bb.cascades 1.0

    {Page}
    {Of container

    Button {}
    objectName: "getButton.
    text: 'Get '.
    horizontalAlignment: P
    }
    }
    }

    Thank you very much!
    Paul

    Try adding:

    public slots:

    above this line:
    void GetButtonClickHandler();

    In addition, you can use the methods of the button directly, as
    _getButton-> SetText ("clicked")

    BTW, member variable is not really necessary. Slot sender() method can be used to access the button:

    void ApplicationUI::GetButtonClickHandler(){  Button *button = qobject_cast

  • Satellite L300-135 see WLan network but will not connect

    Well well, (new laptop) initially, it worked with my BT hub at home... then decided to not stop working - receives no signal or response from the router - even though other laptops in the House can connect without any problems

    and now the Wireless does not work - IE. I can see the wireless connection but cannot connect.

    I don't know that the wireless is not cut (until someone suggests)

    I looked for more up-to-date drivers, but nothing seems to work.

    Help, please!

    Hello

    First of all, you should check if your wireless network card is correctly recognized.
    I mean to check in the Device Manager!

    Your wireless network card must be the Realtek 802.11 g (RTL8187B)
    Download and install the latest driver WLan in the Realtek page.
    Then update the BIOS.

    Finally, reconfigure all WLan settings.
    In the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab card WLan disable energy saving settings and check the other parameters that may affect the connectivity.

    Good luck

  • Deploy the RT too Long of generic IO file path

    So I've been fighting with this configuration and mistakes on deploying code to an embedded target RT.  I have a RT Linux cDAQ-9132 and I found that if my path is too long, it will give strange errors.  Sometimes the error will be on the opening, the project gives 'Generic IO to file' but is the VI opens without error.  And sometimes I see "loaded with errors on the target and was closed" on the deployment.

    The path to the code reuse in the user.lib is similar to the following:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2015\user.lib\_xxxxxxx\Automotive Communication\CAN Drivers\Generic PEUT Drivers\CAN Class\Public\Signal Conversion\Read signals Polymorphics\Read - Single Sample_xxxxxxx.vi

    Who are 233 characters including slashes and semicolons that falls within the limitation of 260 Windows (or 255).

    An example of this is attached.  Unzip the user.lib zip in the user.lib and open the Test of RT project.  It's a RT. target but open just the RT Test VI.vi should show the generic IO file error and the VI appears missing on BD.  If you then open the signals of read - only Sample_xxxxxxx.vi the VI loads without error and high level VI can be executed without error now.

    I've not seen it documented anywhere, but is there a limit to the length of file that causes this problem?  Is there a document indicating how deeply in the re-use of user.lib can be?  I know that my ways were becoming a bit long but also noticed Windows length had not been exceeded again.  And is it possible that if this limtiation exists, that we will have a little more useful error?  Thank you.

  • PCI-GPIB and controller movement legacy Newport Orion-CM - timeout in MAX but not MATLAB

    I kinda a weird GPIB problem which seems to be related to the legacy quirks of implementation of GPIB.  The system I use is an Orion of Newport-CM, which has a controller of electrostrictifs actuator in him as a monitor of power on separate GPIB addresses, but a physical port.  I have it connected via a<= 2m="" cable="" to="" an="" ni="" pci-gpib="" board. ="" i've="" tried="" both="" the="" 2.6="" and="" 2.2="" ni-488.2="" drivers="" and="" both="" act="" the="">

    I found that when I try to query the device through MAX, I can see a SPY OR that the first FindLstn mark 2 units, but expires (probably to try a * IDN? command, because it signals no response).  After that, if I try other commands via MAX or MATLAB, all the GPIB commands time out, so I have to power cycle the Newport before being receptive again.  I tried every permutation of the GPIB driver located in MAX without result - always the same behavior settings.

    Curiously, however, when I use the device only in MATLAB (with the instrument control toolbox), I can have some success, but with delays every now and then are not paralyze the MAX in the same way, it was.  I am able to open the device with:

    mcobj = gpib ('nor', 0, 1);

    fopen (mcobj);

    and query with:

    fprintf(mcobj,'*IDN?');

    data = fscanf (mcobj);

    and get the good * IDN? response.

    In addition, I can do writing and reads the device (with intermittent downtime... I found I need to leave at least 0.3 seconds between commands, which leads to a slow operation).

    It left me speechless.  Of course, it appears the interface GPIB works, maybe slowly, but if I'm not mistaken, the same driver should be usage of communication for MAX and MATLAB, why so MAX time so that I am able to have the operation in MATLAB?  Are there some low level which may be different that I cannot change in MAX or GPIB configuration, but is defined by MATLAB?

    Any thoughts appreciated.  Newport is as usual MOM on obsolete parts, and their job is not much help outside retailer orders GPIB (Nothing on the specifications of the bus).

    Thank you

    Scott

    Thanks for the tips.  It seems that the old Newport is just really, really slow (must be material and mid-1990 s), so he needs a good break between her send GPIB commands.  I installed the 1.7 legacy drivers, and those at least have correctly the * IDN? the device response.  Gpib MATLAB interface is quite simple you can give sufficient breaks between commands to send to the Newport, so in it, I am able to control the time between orders.

    It seems that it is just a matter of a slow device.  I know not what look like the internal FindLstn characteristics and, therefore, why the new version of MAX expires while the old ones do not, but for really old hardware that there could be GPIB read/write in the new pilot who are too fast to actually really old equipment sufficient time to respond.  Thanks again for the input.

  • Multifunction analog input/output

    I use USB X series 6356 to my experience. I send out a pulse of tone by analog output channel to an actuator.

    And receive the signal of response of a sensor to an analog input channel. I've included a screenshot of VI.

    The question is, I get the output of the signal response signal as well.

    If I send (via the output channel), a burst of your 10 KHz which begins at t = 0.

    I see that the tone burst into my plot of input channel as well (at t = 0).

    Please, let me know if I use the good VI (I build it according to multi-multifunction-synch I AO VI of examples).

    I use the loop to remove 60 Hz noise (by an average of more than 100 times) signal.

    Hi Vishnu7,

    From what you describe, it seems that you can meet with some ghosting or crosstalk on your analog input channel. Take a look at this knowledge base article and see if it matches with what you see.

  • Cross compiling Qt on windows?

    Hello

    I managed to install Qt and the NDK on linux (a virtual machine, in fact), and I have already created an application to work. Wiki said it is possible to crosscompile Qt for qnx in Windows (it's my main development plataform, and copy the project whenever I want to test in the playbook is a PITA ) but I can't do because the compiler says a lot of #define are missing and fix causes other errors. I tried with cygwin and mingw with no luck.

    Any idea? Has anyone able to do? All documentation miss me?

    Seems there is something that needs fixing on Windows. Here's a recent Twitter conversation with Eduardo Pelegrí response, the guy from open source to the RIM:

  • Legitimacy of site to purchase OEM of CS6

    Hi all

    I just had a typical experience Adobe support. I wanted to know was if a site that offers OEM versions cheap CS6 is a dealer legitimate Adobe and if I buy from them if I am eligible for future updates. Here is the conversation with the (I guess Auto) agent. The toughest part, is that the 'conversation' was closed without response either. Can anyone here give me an answer to my question?

    Now you can chat with Hemant.

    Hemant: Hello! Welcome to the Adobe Customer Service.

    Hemant: Can I please have your email address registered with Adobe, while I will review your request?

    Eric: be XXXX or XXXX

    Hemant: Hey Eric, thanks for the information, how are you doing today?

    Eric: Thank you very much

    Hemant: How you want that I help you?

    Eric: I have already provided this information in the original application

    Hemant: Please state your question Eric.

    Eric: I am about to buy an OEM version reduced of CS6, however, I do not know if the OEM version will give me the right to upgrade to CS7. Could you please let me know if this is possible? The site where I intend to purchase is: http://... (URL removed by moderator because she is a supplier of illegal goods)

    Hemant: Eric let me for a moment.

    Hemant: Eric, we havnt started any thing related to CS7.

    Hemant: I'm sorry to keep you waiting on. My system freezes.

    Eric: This isn't the issue. The question is to know if I can switch to CS7 in the future if I buy the OEM version of the site I sent you?

    Eric: http://... (URL removed by moderator because she is a supplier of illegal goods)

    Hemant: Eric, I can't do anything until less than momentum.

    Eric: Hemant, all I want to know is if the site I sent you is a dealer legitimate Adobe and if I buy from them if I am eligible for future updates, even if they are named CS7?

    Eric: Have you actually looked at the link/website I sent through?

    Thank you for chatting with us. Please click on the 'Close' button in the top right of the chat window to tell us how we did today.

    Adobe has the worst customer service I've ever met - whenever I contacted them in recent years regarding my products purchased legitimately I had a similar experience. Twice my question was not answered, and instead of it, (automatic) agents tried to sell me a subscription to online access. They used the exact same paragraphs for this.

    I would really appreciate concise answers.

    I look forward to hear from you,

    Eric

    There is no such thing as an OEM version of Adobe Creative Suite. The site you quoted offers a software pirate or software illegally unbundled (from licenses in bulk). Whatever it is, whatever is the next set of Adobe products, you will not be able to upgrade of illegal software! In fact, this kind of thing might not even work at all or could not refuse to activate.

    Moreover, for what it's worth, these forums are not part of Adobe support. Although some Adobe employees involved, it's really an end user community here.

  • the evaluation questions and reports

    Hello

    I have a training simulation that I use as an assessment for a class. I activated the feature of report for each of the areas of fields click on buttons/boxes/texts where the learner must enter/click for more information.

    because Captivate did not capture a few slides that should appear on the screen, I inserted to image slides to make fun of these steps, the learner has no click or anything on them, because they are only for information purposes. The problem is that when I turn on the feature of report, Captivate is with these "mock of slides" as answers that the learner must perform, so give me a failure message when I test.

    I checked the page advanced interactions and these pages are not configured to signal a response, (see picture)

    advance interaction screen.JPG

    don't know what else to check or do.

    any help is greatly appreciated

    OK, will check in CP5. What I proposed, it was a simple way to check what are the interactive objects generates a score and that we don't. You can check this by assigning a different note to two (click on different sides of the score for the ETB). Could you try this in a separate project with only this (copy and paste) and slide a slide of score and see we're registered?

    Lilybiri

    BTW: you set the ETB to validate? And since I don't see a button "submit", I assume that it is validated by an entry (or other) shortcut key? The score for BER will give only if it is validated.

  • Conversion of a microphone to a level signal level signal line.

    Friday, June 24, 2016

    Re: My computer: Mac mini (mid-2010)

    The model number is A1347

    Very well. I wonder if the community of Apple Support can help me with this problem.

    I bought a version a SADES 810 Gaming Headset which is supposed to be compatible with Mac in 2016. I tried to plug the headphones on my Mac mini in the hope that I would be able to have conversations using a magic Jack. While I hear people talking to me perfectly clear with the magic Jack, they did not intend to talk into the microphone of the headset.

    I tested the helmet with a chip "phone and the microphone and the headphones worked well." Thus, the microphone is not defective. I discovered that my Mac mini to model requires a microphone level line. The microphone on the "2016 new Version for PS4 SADES SA - 810 Gaming PC Headset Headset" is not level line, it seems, but the lower level of the microphone. Thus, the microphone of the headset is not turn off force, that he needs to work in making the Mac mini line level microphone.

    On a site I saw this quote:

    "Mic Level is the amount of signal you get a microphone. It is much lower than the level of the line and therefore need to be stimulated by a preamp to be usable in a recording situation. »

    What I need is the gadget that will allow me to connect the microphone level 3.5 mm headphones microphone, on my Mac mini, which will convert then the microphone level low in a line level signal, when plugged (at the level of the line) microphone jack/plug of the Mac mini. Is there such a gadget?

    T he one or two 3.5 mm Sockets?

    The headphone jack on the Mac should include a contact for a microphone. To check see it:

  • Jitter in response to signal generator of digital dashboard by using trigger nor tclk with digitizer

    I've written a VI that uses NEITHER tclk to synchronize a generator (PXI-5422 named FGEN1) and a digitizer (PXI-5122 named DIGITIZER1).  There is also a clock card TIMING3 generating a digital camera.

    It seems that can probably be explained by the way TCLK to synchronize, but I don't understand all the details.  Could someone help explain this to me?

    You are right. NOR-TClk ensures that all synchronized devices start at almost at the same time, to the same sample clock, with timing very tight. Sometimes, the level of synchronization with the devices OR TClk-synchronized beats at the level of the synchronization of the instruments of some competitor channels in the same device. But this is not free, there are compromises and added additional jitter for trigger response time is one of them. Here is an attempt to explain why:

    When you use NEITHER-TClk and send a trigger, the devices will respond to relax on the next cycle of the clock once made the trigger signal to the device. Let's say you have several devices all of them even configured with the same clock frequency. You block the signal of PXI_Clk10 using their PLL, so they drift out. But each unit's clock edge will be off, clock +-0.5 cycles. If you send a trigger to each of them, they will respond on the next clock cycle whenever it is, after the arrival of the relaxation to each device with different propagation times, whatever they may be. You get a single clock cycle of jitter on reaction of device to set it off.

    When you use NEITHER-TClk, several things happen: all devices are locked on the PXI_Clk10 signal to eliminate drift. The device clocks are then adjusted to a period level secondary clock. Very very tight. Then a clock signal common, slower called TClk is produced inside the devices. All the generation of trigger are delayed to be sent to the next rising edge TClk, and all consumption trigger is delayed to be received at the next front descending TClk. This way you make sure that propagation delays don't mean one of the devices does not react to the trigger until the next clock cycle.

    That's why you see jitter above the reaction time of relaxation. When you add devices with different clock settings, so the frequency of the TClk can be slower for a divisible frequency in the device clock frequencies everything is possible. This causes the trigger jitter of reaction time be even slower!

    I hope this helps you understand what you see.

  • Formula for conversion signal strain gage

    Dear forum users and employees of OR,.

    I'm fighting to check a formula used by DAQmx and LabVIEW for the conversion of a signal pledge of strain to the mechanical solicitations.
    Formula for strain is "eps" (type of full-bridge III: 4 elements, 2 x 2 in the same sense sequence):

    SPE =-2 * Vr / (GF * [(nu + 1) - Vr * (nu - 1)])

    See also '10. Full bridge III"here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4172/en/#toc10

    But if I try to reproduce this formula based on figure 1-15 in the page web related, I can simply this:

    VR = Vch/Vex = 1 / 4 * GF * (- nu * eps + eps - nu * eps + eps)
    => eps = 2 * Vr / (GF * [1 - nu])

    So either I make a mistake, either the formula given is faulty. The other formulas on the linked web page didn't quite work for me neither.
    As reference, take a look at this: "full bridge, 2 grids of longitudinal-2 cross, second to the last entry on this page:

    me-system/dms-bridge

    The formula NOR mentioned can be found here as well:

    NOR: Full-bridge Type III

    NOR: LabVIEW 2013 help Convert gauges read VI

    The formula I got for "eps" was posted by the employee OR in a different context (with a negative sign):

    post on the Forum

    Can someone there explain further?

    Good day!

    Hi Wimba,

    the formula that you describe is for folding (Type II) and not for the axial deformation of (Type III).

    You must take into account that the voltage should be descriebed in the form of the restistors report.

    See the Wheatstone bridge for that.

    Hope that helped.
