Bent Z3

OK so posted this yesterday but it has been removed, do not know why...

My Z3 for about 8 months now, my partner has a lot of moving and we used the k 4 record but after about 4 months began to notice a little yellow on the screen, but barely perceptible, thought task to the warmth of the phone like that enough warm while in video 24/24. Finally the patch has worsened considerably and I read onlien there is a known issue and that I should send the phone back.

So sent the phone for repairs, other than the screen yellowing or nothing.

Get a message from Sony that they want £126 to fix the screen. Then contact support and I told me on the phone is folded and I should pay to repair or pay to ship the phone back, tried to discuss the issue with the support staff but he told me that it is my choice and asked if he could help with anything else.

Managed to get a picture,

Now, a number of things, I'm not stupid enough to put my phone in my back pocket, I wore jeans that are likely to bend in the front pocket, and I never noticed any turn when I got on the phone.

What other options do I, is it possible to escelate question?

Hi @TheGroveUK,

Welcome to the community.

The yellow spot that has appeared is probably screen bruising. It appears usually when too much pressure is applied to a screen. If your device is bent, it is very likely that's going to be the cause of this.

Unfortunately, as this is classified as physical damage, it is highly unlikely that they will be able to cover this in the terms of the warranty.

That your local support team can help you with this, but I fear that they will probably not be able to reverse the decision in the case. I'm really sorry for your experience.

  • Bent/warped IPad Mini 4

I'll start by leading to the discovery of it.

I was recently in Florida, I'm originally from Chicago, for the week. I brought my IPad along and experienced and noticed nothing wrong with it. When I was flying back to Chicago, I packed up my mini iPad 4, which has a standard case on him, in the operation of my backpack. My bag was filled with only light items such as hats, a shirt, I bought on my way, cords, a Nat Geo and some snacks, chips to be precise, in the plan of care. I unpacked my iPad to my bag after finding my seat and placed into the slot in the seat in front of me with the magazines to go offshore. When Electronics was safe to use, I jumped on the Internet to get the wifi. After seeing the shark for a while, I decided to see what they had and my screen broken under my finger on the left side of the middle. I was shocked the way I could press hard enough to cause serious disruptions on the area around my finger and cracks to join the rest of the screen. I removed my iPad from its case to examine it and noticed it was veiled/bent on the break, only on this one district area. Ive heard of the iPhone 6, deforming, but never to an iPad. Im confused what has caused this to happen, but my assumptions from now are:

    1. fluctuations in temperature between Florida and ruffles.

    2. a defective model (but it was purchased at Best Buy)

    3. about all this I would think based on my experience, but feel heat is the most likely the cause.

Long story short, I discovered that my iPad has been distorted/bent on cracking under my finger screen and don't know how to prove and discover what happened. I took it to a Apple Store, only to be waived off the coast with it being impossible, and the crack comes to make them assume I slammed or it broke something. I would really like to be able to use my 1 year warranty that I wasn't buying apple care as I treat my products I would say pretty well, and now offered my only option was a replacement for $299.

I would be really grateful some insight or advice on what I can do about it as I am positive that nothing of any weight was the force of contact or more applied than my finger and I'm completely baffled by this.

Unfortunately, only AppleCare + covers the issue you known and only for $49 (before taxes) of service fees.

  • Bent 6 more screen replacement?

So in November I took a bad fall on a track and Dope the concrete sidewalk with my brand new 6. Remarkably, the screen is not broken out. My glass screen protector had cracks, but the lower left corner of the bent case metal on a little bit. It seems like a lot, but the phone still worked perfect afterwards so it was never a big deal. The metal itself is folded and the black plastic of the screen pops out about a millimeter. Although about 15 minutes ago, my phone is broken and fell off my bed. There screen still works perfectly well and my protective screen has not burst somehow then the cracked glass is contained. I do not think that the LCD needs to be replaced, just the glass (there are a few yellow spots on the screen).

My question is whether or not the folded case will be the effect replacing the screen. From what I've seen Apple will be very probably deny it and get me to buy a new phone. You all guess how a third party would react?

    Thanks - Kris

Nobody here can guess what Apple can do with your phone twisted, especially without inspection.  The only answer can come from Apple.

  • New iPad 9.7 Pro warped, bent, concave

Just got my new iPad Pro 9.7 256 GB wifi only in space grey, noticed that it is slightly distorted/bent concave, I wonder if this is done by design to stabilize the camara bump when laying flat. Anyone else notice the same thing? do not know if I need to exchange it for another, heavy burden could be placed on top during shipment do not see anything extraordinary on the box it came in, without dents or obvious damage.

I sincerely doubt it's supposed to be folded. For a lot of money, I'd have my replacement.

  • Satellite A30 714 bent pin USB

I seem to have bent a PIN in one of the two USB ports. I'll fix it myself, but does anyone have any documentation on how I disassemble the laptop?

I am confident in the work (welding, static problems, etc.) it's just that there are often hidden screws/tabs/etc who stop work being straight forward.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Concerning

    Tony

    Hello Tony

Everything is at your own risk. In my view, it is clear to you. Anyway, there is no public document disassembly A30. I tried to find something similar for my old Satellite P20 but unfortunately without success.

Simply start by dismantling the procedure and if you have still some concrete problem post. Don t lose a few screws! ;)

Do you mean that you have a problem with the CAPTCHA to confirm you are a human being?

I agree that CAPTCHAs used for synchronization are not easy to understand and the sound version is even more difficult.

Usually, I click as often as necessary to reload a new CAPCHA so I can't decipher the letters until I see one that doesn't look like not too hard.

  • Bent corner trackpad

Last week, I bought a new Macbook Pro. I noticed that one of the corners of the trackpad is protruding outward. Specifically, its case is slightly down at this point. Apple service could do something about it? In all other respects, my Macbook works perfectly.

Bring the MBP.  If you bought at Apple, not a reseller, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return the MBP for an Exchange or a refund.

    Ciao.

  • Internal card reader freezes Satellite Pro A due to bent pins

    Hello

The stems of my internal card reader are folded due to a card of memory being glued and then removed.
This causes windows to freeze at startup.

Now I can disable the software etc. to stop what's happening, but what I'd rather do is to physically unplug the internal card reader, so Windows does not attempt to find it and crashed.

Is it easy to remove the card reader internal?
If yes then it would cost a fortune to obtain Toshiba to fix?

I don't really want to spend a lot of money on something that is not a value of more than £200, which I intend to sell soon.

    See you soon,.
    Dave

    > but what I'd rather do is unplug physically the card reader internal, so Windows does not attempt to find and crash.

Since the card reader is part of the motherboard, you can not disconnect it physically.
    In your case, there are two possibilities;
Either buy and replace the motherboard (I think that it s not an option for you die at high costs) or you would disable this card reader in Device Manager

    Welcome them

  • Just reinstalled Windows, permissions on the secondary drive are bent now

My 320 GB hard drive that has Windows 7 installed on it crashed. I also had a secondary drive of 1.5 TB of storage. I bought a new 500 GB drive and installed Windows 7 fresh top. Now, I think all permissions on this secondary drive are confused because they were originally from the previous installation. At first, I was getting errors in the programs that I couldn't because I don't have permission to write files, so I said the drive to give me ownership of everything on it.

That seemed to work for a while, but now - and it is perhaps even more boring - when I try to move or copy files, even if I am the owner, it keeps popping up that box (which NEVER happened on the previous installation, incidentally) tells me I need administrator permission to move the files. The first time I saw it, my account was created as an administrator, so I was like "What the heck?" but I hit the little 'yes' with a shield next to him and the files will move as I indicated.

After spending a ton of time to search the Internet for more information on this subject, it looked like whenever someone asked something similar to this, they would immediately get said, before all else, that they shouldn't be on the admin account, so I thought it was probably a good idea anyway, and who knows maybe it will solve the problem so I did an admin account, logged in it and the value of my main account to a Standard user. Now, logged into my account as a Standard user, when I try to move the files in the same way, the same box appears, except that now I have to enter the password of the Admin account to move files, too!

I really don't want this obscene level of security on a single user's computer, but I tell myself that all this has something to do with the previous installation of Windows and system files on the secondary drive.

Long story short, I want the nagging box go away, and I'm out of ideas.

I solved my problem, I think.

First: I deleted this user, who, after researching online, I found was just as I thought, an old rest of the previous installation of windows. Remove from the list of permissions of the folder seemed to work well and removed everything.

Second: drive D right click, entered the security, hit advanced, tap on change permissions, open my standard user and deleted permissions. I hit OK, checked the box on the next screen to replace all child object permissions and click OK. It took some time to change all the permissions, but then I checked the various folders and files to confirm that the standard user was on the list.

Third: once this was done, I did the same thing AGAIN. Right click the D drive, entered the security, hit advanced, tap on change permissions, open my standard user and he gave TOTAL CONTROL. I hit OK, checked the box on the next screen to replace all child object permissions and click OK. It took some time to change all the permissions, but then I checked the various folders and files to confirm that the standard user was on every list with full control.

Fourth: I changed to the standard user account and tried to move one of the files previously not moveable, and it worked very well.

MY THEORY OF WHY THIS HAPPENED: when I reinstalled windows, I chose the same username of the main account again. This may have confused the file system, so I need to get rid of all remnants of the old installation. My username and the name of the computer being the same, I just need to trash the permissions for the old compname/username and then reset again for the compname/current user name.

I could be WAY OFF with this theory, but it seems to have worked.

A bit of research I could do, but I'm not going to do, would be to reinstall Windows again and choose a different computer name and the user name to see if the same issues that happened, or if the new permissions set correctly. Or heck, even if the old permissions were still there, but once I took control at the start, it would work. But I'm not going to reinstall Win again, so I don't know who.

Basically, I think that when you have a situation like mine, it is maybe just tell Windows to appropriate the entire disk is not good enough, and you must make sure that all the old stuff is removed before this. (If your username and compname are the same thing again.)

As how young Win7 is, I guess the percentage of those who have reinstalled as it is still quite low, so it's probably a problem not frequently encountered. You can have people from MS to test on this!

Thanks for all the help, I'll be sure to check if there are other problems and let you know!

  • Volume of Smartphones blackBerry Media Player is always bent :(

    Hello

Use this Blackberry curve for a few months now and it has recently started to behave strangely.

Whenever a song starts (as at the beginning of the song, or after a break and re-enable) the volume is cranked. Because I listen to a lot of podcasts that are short, I can't put the headphones in my ears at all, or I could damage my eardrums.

Even if I lower the volume for next to nothing, if I pause and reactivate it, the volume is cranked.

Current settings: in the Media Options, I have the following parameters:

    Media:

    Audio Boost: Off

    Equalizer headphone: Off

I don't know what else to do. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a reliable resolution to this problem?

    Thank you very much

    Glen.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • Built-in webcam bent works on HP ProBook 4520 s product number: WH300UT #ABA

Hi, I have a HP ProBook 4520 s running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, the number of product WH300UT #ABA. I had tested my camera one day before the trip June 30 and found that it worked very well, however several days after their arrival I used for the first time and found that it only shared no video on the Facebook video chat. I went to Skype to find a similar situation, it identifies the device that is used, but it doesn't send any video. Finally, I checked in her Arc Soft Total Media Suite to see if I could take pictures, once more he identified the connected device and yet nothing was displayed, not even pure black and the buttons to capture and record are grayed out. I made no changes since the last successful use, as far as I know to my system other than the installation of a new mouse and windows updates. I would appreciate help, thank you.

    Hello MADmanHP,

  • How can I create a dotted line no bent/curved on a path?

Usually, when you check the option 'dotted line' on the palette of the race, you can instantly create a dotted on the selected path. What I do not know how has retained ownership of right of a line on the parts of the curve of the track.

    Untitled-1 copy.jpg

(Image improvised to illustrate my problem)

    Joshyfrott,

    You can:

    (1) create a short straight path with the length and width of the dashboard (right) it is to replace (you can create it as a vascular accident brain/nofill path, or you can create a rectangle to fill/nostroke with the same appearance).

    (2) in the tick flyout palette/Panel new brushes brush, tick Scatter Brush, set the spacing to 200% and set the Rotation path and give it a name.

    (3) apply to the brush on the path.
