best combination of loops?

Hi, I am currently working on a labview program that moves a XY stage and then information acquired on the optical spectra for every point, I have made the program for the XY stage and the program to recover data of OSA, but am not sure that the best loop combination to synchronize data 2 programs together... so basically the go 1 step (1 itteration of a while loop) and then stop... the 2nd program initiated and takes data... and then the scene moves 1 market more... recover data... etc for a set defined number of steps.

What is the best way to go about this?

Thank you very much

Asiri

Well, not knowing anything more, a loop for would do what you want. However, it's the simplistic answer and there is usually more to the story, depending on what you do really and how you want the system behaves. For example, it may be that a state machine is the best router to take.

  • What is the best format to select then copy music from a cd to itunes

I copy my cd collection into iTunes. What is the best format that should be selected for the best quality of music? Thank you.

"Better format" and "Better music" (sound quality) are not the same question, for audio encoding.  The best sound comes from a "Lossless" format  The encoding using the Apple Lossless Encoder encoder in iTunes provides without loss of sound quality, compared to the songs on CD (which are in AIFF format).  You can also use the AIFF encoder, but the files of the song will be a little bit bigger compared to Apple Lossless.  However, TWO Apple Lossless AIFF formats and create larger files of the song, so they take more space on your computer drive (several times over).

iTunes Store sells songs in format AAC , compression ratio 256 kbps.  This format may provide the best combination of efficiency (small size) and the sound quality.  There is a minor loss in sound quality due to compression, but I can't tell the difference between lossless and AAC at 256 Kbps, format with my headphones and speakers (and ears).  To use this format when you import your CD, select the AAC Encoder value encoder iTunes more.

NOTE: Import encoding settings run the button import the settings of iTunes preferences General pane.

  • Best settings for Canon HFS21

Steve's book is excellent and has a very informative, but I don't know yet. If possible, I want to choose a combination, if possible, and stay with her, one that works very well for all high quality with my HFS21 projects that wind up on DVD and youtube so projects. What is the best combination? Wouldn't be HD AVCHD 1080 30 and pull with 60i or?

Another thing that I find confusing is that youtube seems to prefer not interlaced. I am not particularf I shoot in 24f, I believe that it is only available on this unit p frame rate, and the possibilities on Elements 9 are 30.

30 images produced 60i interlaced, nicholas, then Yes, you must use the AVCHD 1920 x 1080 stereo.

And you should only shoot FXP or MXP mode if you plan to edit in Premiere Elements.

  • Vst 5645r PXI gain / attenuation calibration chain RX TX

    Hello

I work with PXI vst 5645r. I did some research using the RF output of the transmitter connected with the receiver RF input.

In my application, it is important to know the equivalent mitigation and win I get (output of the DAC) generation up to the acquisition (input of the ADC) (loop gain).

I looked at http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/373680C-01/vstdevices/5645_analog_input/ and http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/373680C-01/vstdevices/5645_analog_output/ in order to better understand how to build the structure of my channels.

Whole, I looked in the drawing in labview how these parameters are controlled and value (example VST streaming (host)). I found only the configuration of gain for the transmitter in the 'LO_cal' block but I don't see no calculations for the various mitigations of transmitter. I have to check these datas for the transmitter.

How are managed and put all these settings in the transmitter and the receiver normally?

I guess that the receiver channel attenuates the signal in order to use the dynamic maximum range od a/d converters and use good power from receiver... calibration changes the values of gain/attenuation in the receiver string whenever I use a different gain (peak power dbm) of the issuer?

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

    Giuseppe

The reference level is a 'guide' for the driver VST set the attenuators and win as well as the range of the ADC/DAC are used at best.
Depending on the frequency that you and the chosen reference level, the VST pilot will focus on the best combination of the mitigations

and win to get the Signal arriving at the ADC to use his full range:
You can see the calculations in this niRFRIO Group A Config 1.0.0 Shared Private.lvlibelect RF calibrated Gain.vi

This Gain is 'Gain of frequency step-down converter' that summarize the entire path of Rf In.

So practicall frequencies/Upconverter Gain step-down converter is the total analog gain that is put on the signal just before and after the ADC/DAC.
This is done in the niRFRIO Group A Config 1.0.0 Shared Private.lvlibelect RF calibrated in Gain.vi.

The discovery to Gain Index scan all possible power levels for this frequency and get the level closest to the chosen reference level.

Whith this information, he knows what attenuators and win it must reach the power to get at its best at the ADC (input gain settings)

So to calculate the loop gain, you must define a level of refeerence fix so that all mitigations and gain in the two paths of remain fixed, test it with a calibrated CW and then use this configuration for your DUT.

When you read the QI of the VST (retrieve a single record) this information is passed to the function, so it can calculate the values of CDA and calibrated to their actual value on the RF In:

If you calculate the gain of loop inside the FPGA, then he must send the information of step-down converter frequency/upconverter gain between the host and the FPGA. You can then use this information to calculate the loop gain.

    Best wishes

  • Sequence of a good idea?

After the search and read a few posts from forums, I understand using the sequence is probably not the best idea?

I wanted to get some advice on the best way to address my problem.

    What I want to do:

I intend to use the van der Pauw method and the hall effect to experimentally determine various parameters for a small sample of semiconductors.

Right now, it's a lot of your time to make all of the BNC connections required by the hand that in all the totals to 24 or 48 connections to make.

To speed up the process, I want to use Labview to control a microcontroller to control transistors which controls of the Tower relays who make the required connections. At the same time after each series of necessary connections have been made, a current source controlled by Labview must provide the necessary current, a voltmeter to read voltage. A total of six different sets of four connections to perform and voltage read for all six groups. This must be done twice, but since the equipment creating the magnetic field is controlled manually, I can just run the program twice.

Recently, I learned how to control an arduino using labview and how to control the power source and the voltmeter using labview as well.

So here's the sequence that labview should send orders:

Digital I/o using 6-pin on arduino

    1. initially, all pins are attached below.

    2. first pin set high, while the rest remains low. This option turns on a transistor making it the first series of connections.

    3. the current source is turned on and provides a specified amount of current to the sample.

4 voltmeter measures the induced voltage and stores this as a double or be it in something like a table.

    5 current source turns off.

    6. second pin on arduino set high, while the rest low and steps 3 through 5 are repeated until all 6 pressure measurements were recorded.

    7. the 6 measures must be exported to excel the file or Notepad or other.

    8. the same data could be transmitted to something like a different tab in the same program to perform the calculations to find the semiconductor, parameters of the sample.

So now my question on the best way to do these things. I was looking through labview and found what is called a sequence of flat, but according to the forums it's supposed to be frowned upon.

My other thoughts using some kind of combination of loops/case, but I'm not sure how to structure and what should be included or excluded from the loop. Other thoughts are maybe a timed structure. Another possibility is to create 6 different vi and calling it one by one.

So basically the program run, and once completed, I need for each measure 6 voltage, preferably displayed in both a table and saved in excel/Notepad.

A state machine with these 8 States (and perhaps some assistance States: idle, stop, start, error, etc..).

Basically a while loop with a case structure (one case for each State) and a State (e.g., enum) variable in a passage that. Look at the design templates provided with LabVIEW.

(A flat sequence is too rigid for this. What happens if an error occurs in the #5 State? It has no way to go to a State of emergency. What happens if you want to stop in the Middle? What If a State fails and must be repeated.)

  • PL/SQL implementation of algorithm of backpack without terminals?

    Hello world

I am currently working on an algorithm to find the best possible combination according to a lower cost for > = necessary quantity (it's much a similar to a backpack boundless algorithm). For example, if 100 pieces are necessary since the given pool stores (see the data in the table below), I have to come up with a best possible combination. So, in this example, the best choice would be to pull the store_id (A, B, C). I'm currently experimenting with a limited record set 20 who, according to my approach (ie the brute force) who would SELECT (POWER (2.20)) FROM DUAL;  1048576 * 20 iterations and it takes more than 30 seconds using pure PL/SQL. Some information more I play a few checks to see if one store has a required amount then choose the store and out else make a comparison of cross join assuring that the store_id even are not attached then finally if nothing bothers me the quantity required then I'll for a brute force approach. If there is a best way to short circuit the third stage or all have a similar problem and came up with a BETTER solution, please let me know. He could help me and probably many others (SQL approach is available but not PL/SQL). I tried to look for something similar online but has never been able to find any implementation of PL/SQL of the algorithm of bag backpack.

Sorry, this seems to be a problem trivial backpack to me, since the 'size' different weighted units is the same.

Then you can simply use a greedy algorithm, taking the cheaper units first.

This could easily be done using analytical functions.

The magic number here is 100. It can be replaced by a parameter or variable binding.

To make it more unambigous in two stores have the same costs, you can extend the order by the analytical function with the value.

  • How can I know what NVidia drivers are in el Capitan?

I'm trying to find the best combination of price and capacity for a video/graphics card to go in a Mac Pro 5.1 running el Capitan. NVidia seems to be the best choice for my type of work, but how do I know if the drivers from NVidia are integrated to the el Cap? I know that there is a possibility of losing the bootscreen, but what video advice may work in a Mac Pro on el Capitan?

    You can download Nvidia drivers:

Presence or absence of a splash screen depends on the firmware on the map because during startup, no drivers are loaded. The start screen depends on the firmware on the card. A card flashed to a Mac has a bootscreen

  • The ad blocking and Privacy Extensions for Safari

Hello.  I have two questions really.  I often watch videos using sites such as Vodlocker, thevideo.me, GorillaVid, beststreams, streamin.to, vidzi.tv, etc..,.

    1. What are the best extensions to use Safari block ads, menus, embedded, redirects and especially pop-under?  I have AdBlock Plus, but it doesn't seem to block ads and work well with redirects or pop-under.  And Yes, I already have the box checked in my security settings to block pop ups!  (In my experience, it doesn't work well.)

There are also Ublock, Ka-block!, Wipr, Adamant and Glimmer Blocker I know.  The problem is the Gallery Extension Safari no longer allows the notice of any extension, which is ridiculous.  Not being tilted technologically, I relied heavily on reviews!  For the life of me, I do not understand why Apple has stopped allowing customers.  Ublock caused some sites Web works is not for me.

    2. what privacy extensions work best?  In general, for general use in computer science and in conjunction with ad extensions?

I would like to find the best combination of ad blocking and security extensions.  Unfortunately, I am not versed with those who is so advanced, requiring the user to enter and write the code to prevent certain types of advertising.  I'm open to hearing all the tips and suggestions!  And thanks in advance to those who take the time to reply and help!

There are a few easy steps you can take to improve your privacy on the Web.

In the Safari menu bar, select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ Extensions

An inventory of the extensions you have installed, as appropriate. A few Safari extensions are adware or spyware. Carefully read the privacy policies or the terms of use. Delete everything that you don't really need, or you are not sure.

An extension that you may want to install is called "Ghostery." It blocks tracking cookies a lot. Extensions "ClickToFlash" and "ClickToPlugin" prevents Flash content from loading automatically.

If you have installed hacks supported by advertising as "Glims" affecting the Safari, uninstall them as instructed by the developer. Doing so will improve the stability of Safari, as well as your privacy.

On a more advanced level, you can change the DNS servers used by your computer or router, to find the addresses of all the Internet servers that you use. In general, the best choice from the point of view of privacy is to use the DNS servers of your ISP. Your Internet traffic goes through the network of your Internet service provider anyway, so in theory, there is no loss of privacy in the use of its DNS servers. Avoid third party DNS services such as "OpenDNS", which is in the business of selling your information to marketing specialists.

Consider using software like 'GlimmerBlocker' ad-blocking, which also blocks certain forms of abuse of JavaScript that can be used to track you. It is only suitable for advanced users, and it can block some web content you want to see.

When you use a public network such as a Wi - Fi hotspot, don't forget that others connected to the same network may be able to listen to your network traffic. They will not be able to read the content of this traffic, if you connect to Web sites secured like this, but they know the addresses of the sites. It is the same for the e-mail and Messaging. Public VPN services to sell as a solution to this problem, but using these services may have a serious security and privacy implications.

  • Upgrade the amount of RAM on Satellite A50

    Hello world
I need advice on upgrading the RAM,
I have on my system, 256 MB of ram (DDR pc2700) on a site and I have a free slot out, so my question is: what is the best combination to upgrade? and if I can add for example, a module of 512 (pc2700) so I have 768 MB of ram?
Thank you for you time and help

    Hello

The maximum memory that can be used is 2048 MB. Sam is right. You can use all three modules of RAM available. Here is the part of them number if you want to orer ome of them:
    256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

  • Frequent disconnections of WLan on satellite M40X-230

My laptop undergoes frequent disconnects on the internet and it becomes very annoying. Situation is that the laptop connects wireless to the Internet via a Belkin router. The router works well, and I use Aol for the ISP.
Our second laptop, also a Toshiba but a satellite A30-203 does not suffer from problems despite using the same router.

Two laptops have SP2 and the M40 is centrino mobile while the satellite has a card (also Belkin) wireless adapter.

If I look at the connection speed, it varies between 54 Mbit/s and 1 MB/s and said that the signal strength is excellent regardless of speed. This means that the problem lies in the laptop or its parameters, or must he chipset drivers upgrade?

Any help would be appreciated as the slow performance especially when loading pages on the net makes me stupid.

    Hello

You should know that there are different standards of WLan that supports of different properties.
The standards are 802.11 A, B or G. Currently, the standard 802.11 G wireless supports the fastest connection.
The best combination is the using the router and wireless network adapter that supports the same standard.

You suggested that the A30 Satellite using the Belkin WLan adapter. I guess it has better compatibility between router Belkin and Belkin WLan card. As a result, you will get the best performance.

However, on your satellite, you must check the WLan card properties. There you should find a few options that could increase performance card and connectivity.
Important: Energy saving Option should be disabled in the properties of the map. Try also to set the WLan range at the highest level.

In addition it s advisable to check the WLan card driver updates. If you use a map control WLan Intel the Intel page for updates.

  • After update for HP UPD PCL 5 on the network drivers, local printers now very slow printing

I've recently updated the HP Universal Print Driver PCL 5 on my Windows 2008 R2 file and print server.  All printers on network HP 5 now show the new driver of the UPD PCL 5, and 5 all seems to work fine from all clients on the attached network.

However, as soon as I had updated the drivers from server, anyone with a printer connected locally HP began to test response times very slow when trying to print jobs to their local printer or even bring up the properties of the local printer.  I think that it is because local printers also use the HP UPD PCL5 driver, and something "broke" when I updated the driver on the server.   If the local printer is set as default, trying to make it appear a Properties dialog box takes several seconds (before it was instant), and clicking PRINT in any application results in a noticeable delay for the print dialog box to appear, followed by another notable delay (as in 10-20 seconds) before work is treated and control the application returned ot the user.  The printer takes then to another a few seconds to process work.  Essentially print jobs local just went from 5 seconds to 30 seconds or more for each task to start to print more.  This is unacceptable.

I tried to remove all printers on network among the PC client, and then deleting the local printer as well.  I restarted, then used the install.exe HP UPD PCL 5 to start the installation on the local computer, choosing to do an installation of USB.  I turned on the printer local return and it has been recognized and loaded the new HP UPD PCL5 driver, but the problem persists.

So after messing around with this more yesterday I think I narrowed down it to a port number.  It seems that when computers with local printers connected downloaded the new UPD PCL 5 form the network (updated their drivers for network printer), he reconfigured the USB port for each printer connected locally.  The USB port on the local printer will now appear as "DOT4 generic IEEE 1284.4 support printing", while before I'm pretty sure he showed as "DOT4 HP Laserjet one."   This white paper (which is unfortunately for Windows XP) appears to support the hypothesis that the port has changed and that the generic port is much slower (this is what we see now with local printers).  White paper on the issue of generic DOT4 port

I tried to delete all printers that use the UPD from a local system and then using the install.exe form the UPD package to install the local printer as a USB printer (disconnection of the latter before installation and then in reconnecting it when you are prompted by Setup), still the same generic port is re-created.  How can I change the generic port to a specific port HP driver for printers normally respond again?

Furthermore, I opened a ticket with the help of HP on the issue Monday afternoon, it is now Wednesday morning and the only response I received was a request to make sure that my cables were not more than 6' long.  Seriously HP support?

My best guess is that you do not use the name of specific driver to the version on the print server.   Driver version-specific name will look like "HP Universal printing PCL6 (v5.9.0).   Non-specific to the version name will look like "HP Universal PCL6 print.

When you work with print servers, it is recommended to use the name of the version-specifc driver.   I think what happened here are that the driver has been updated on the server, and this update was then pushed to clients through point and print because the pilots names.

You have indicated that you are using the PCL5 driver.   In a general office print PCL6 offers the best combination of performance and print quality.   I recommend you go to PCL6 immediately, unless your devices or custom applications/solutions are not compatible with PCL6.  (This is very rare)

If it were my system, here's what I'd do.

    1. Download UPD PCL6 5.9.0 and PARK of www.hp.com/go/upd
    2. Install the UPD PCL6 5.9.0 on my print server using the name specific to the version - create a temporary queue.
    3. Run AutoUpgradeUPD.exe from the PARK to remove queues existing impression on my print server and re-create them with the PCL6 driver.   (See http://youtu.be/mYCVx1RBp9w for more information on this utility)
    4. Remove the temporary queue
    5. On my clients, I would remove the existing printer USB connections.
    6. Run the UPD PCL6 5.9.0 installer and select the USB - Plug and Play mode and make sure that both check boxes are enabled.
    7. Re-connect local printers.

Something else I could try to implement PRNCON of the PARK on each client.    It will be delete and re-create the connections to printer to the print server.    This can be run without command-line switches, but I like to use the '-2000 w' command to force a second 2 the delay between the removal of the printer connection and recreate.

In a last time, I'll make sure to remove any old/unused drivers from the print server.

  • Times New Roman 11 point shrunken feel justified with HP UPD PCL 5 results in characters

Since the duty switch to the driver for HP (PCL 5) universal print several months ago, when we made the jump to Windows 7 (it seem not to be any specific device Windows 7 x 64 drivers for most HP printers) that we had a very specific problem with printing documents (especially from Word 2010).

When we print a document that has the Times New Roman 11 point police, and that the document is fully justified, the output will of characters that are "crushed" together in different places on the pages.  For example, the 'l' and the 'e' in 'legally' in part of a page could be printed too close, almost on top of the other, while the same Word may appear later in the page and end.

This strange behavior output is consistent when the document is printed several times with different HP printers (all using the UPD PCL 5).  In other words, the shriveled characters will appear in the same place on the same pages of any printer send us the task to (we have printers ranging from an old 4050N and a whole new m602) or how many times it is printed.

Since one of our departments has literally thousands of legal documents that use Times New Roman 11 point fully justified, it's a pretty big deal.  For the moment, we have been print these documents to a photocopier to avoid the HP UPD question, but this isn't a permanent solution.  I need to know how to solve this problem for HP printers so we can print documents we have where we need.

I should mention that I've already updated printer drivers network (Windows 2008 R2) to the last UPD PCL 5 (July 2014).

I have some ideas on this issue.

First of all, for more general printing Office such as from Word and other applications of MS Office, you will get the best combination of performance and print quality using the PCL6 driver.   Unless you have a legacy application that requires PCL5, I would recommend moving to PCL6.

Second, when you moved to the HP UPD did you create new print queues or to update an existing queue by using the new driver option on the Advanced tab of the driver?    When you use the pilot 'new' option, Windows did his best to keep the old queue settings and put them on the new pilot.   This may cause missing, additional incorrect registry entries, corrupt or simply on the queue.      I always recommend to create new print queues when changing drivers.   If you have a large number of print queues that must be deleted and recreated, I suggest you try the AutoUpgradeUPD.exe utility from administrator print Resource Kit (PARK) at www.hp.com/go/upd.     For more information about this utility, see http://youtu.be/mYCVx1RBp9w

Finally, some Microsoft Office applications save some driver with the file information.   I see this more often with Excel, but I guess that Word may depend on as well.   The problem is that the application passes data from the former driver for the new driver and it can create unexpected results.    To see if this is the case, open the print dialog box, and then click on printer properties to open the user interface for the driver.   It is enough to click OK to close the window and the driver information will be updated in the Word document.    Now, click on print and see if the output is improved.   If Word prompts you to save your changes when you close the document (and you make changes) that's a clue that the driver information has been updated in the .doc file.

  • Help, please! Intel graphics hd 4000/nvidia k2000m questions

Hey guys, I'll have two both of my graphics (intel HD 4000 + nvidia k2000m) first of all I am a musician and I run a recording software (avid protools) off the w530. for some reason, I'm having problems using a secondary monitor... The computer is not output any signal through the vga port or mini HD on the graphics card intel HD 4000... I tried to hit win + p to activate the option of mutiple monitor, I updated the driver of 4000 intel HD and still no signal output... so when I switch to the k2000m, everything works perfectly... both vga and mini HD port works, but for some strange reason, I get cpu overload in my burning software... Almost if the computer longer hard using the k2000m... Idk if this is a driver issue, but I really need the dual monitor working in my w530 function... Any ideas or suggestions to solve these two problems. Thank you

    Hi Mpcsauce,

Welcome to the forums. All external monitors are dictated by the discreet displayport graphics card from Nvidia, such as the VGA and mini ports are physically connected to this card. Therefore, integrated graphics card Intel can only go out to screen integrated notebook (Nvidia card can do, if force you it in the BIOS).

The best thing to do is to make sure that the graphic card in the BIOS settings is set to "NVIDIA Optimus", given that the laptop switches between card Intel and Nvidia, providing the best combination of performance and battery life. Your second question is strange, but I would like to begin by updating the drivers on the K2000m.
