  I'm looking for a networking of best practices for the use of 4-1 GB NIC with vSphere 5. I know there are a lot of good practice using 10 GB, but our current config does support only 1 GB. I need to include the management, vMotion, Virtual Machine (VM) and iSCSi. If there are others you would recommend, please let me know.

  Without knowing your environment, it would be impossible to give you an idea of the uses of bandwidth.

  That said if you had about 10-15 virtual machines per host with this configuration, you should be fine.

  I'm about to deploy a new vSphere 5.1 (Enterprise license) environment and would appreciate a lot a little comments to some best practices and real-world experiences. For our cluster HA, we will use Dell R720 with Broadcom 5720 girls cards four ports 1 and 2 Intel X 520 DA connection to a Dell EqualLogic SAN PS6110XV (using the Extension Module from Dell for MPIO Multipathing).

  (Note: the iSCSI network will use two switches Dell PC8024F and the 'public' network will have two switches Juniper EX3300).

  I need to design best perf for HA, iSCSI, vMotion, and I would like to know tips for this design. Pls help me!

  I do a view pilot program using 4.6 and related clones. I have a server (small pilot) to all (vcenter, connect to the server, clients). I have configured an interface on the server as a TRUNK so I can have desktop VMs on different VLANS. How to configure view (or the desktop image base) to clients pools on the VLANs that I would like on?

  For example, computer office-pool1 I want to VLAN 10, office-pool2 I VLAN 11.

  Base Office I created, I put the VLAN 10, but the VMs system (created from the replica) begin on VLAN 11.

  You must create groups of ports for each VLAN.  Then go to your parent image, change the nic for the port group you just created and to recompose.

  I did have a chance to respond to my question via Google... If there was a previous topic posted on the forum about it, my apologies.

  We users of DPS Pro for several years now, and in the early stages of the evolution of our software to cloud creative teams. We always use the Pro DPS account to produce a monthly magazine for iPads, Android and Amazon devices, but I'm trying to understand how our connection CC and 3 different connections rendition DPS will play together.

  Right now, we're on CS5.5, so when we publish to different renditions, we record and off the Folio Builder when we need to access each account:

  I'm upgrading to a few host ESX to ESXi 4.1U1 4.0 in the coming weeks. My question is about how to configure the management networks. Obviously in ESX 4.0 Classic I have a Service Console port (on vSwitch0) group and a group of ports VMkernel (also on vSwitch0) which provides my host with SC and vmotion capabilities, as we all know. Note: my vSwitch0 has two vmnic attached to it, is pending and is active. That's just how we have our double installation of switches, so it must be active / standby.

  I got to thinking (book the great from HA and DRS deepdive Duncap Epping and Frank Denneman), that I should consider carefully when my network mangement I improve these hosts to ESXi 4.1 - which of course done away with the Service Console and use the vmkernel instead.

  The question is, in which best practices and account with my setup: I have two vmkernel ports? If so, how should I configure each for traffic management and vmotion vmkernel?

  I think it will be a good discussion to have.

  The NIC vSwitch0 value active/active, the vswif (and future vmkernel management) team of NIC Active vmnic6 and vmnic1 ensures and leaves the vMotion vmkernel NIC team as is.

  This will allow you to use two physical network interface cards at the same time while having a failover plan and keep your physically separate management and vMotion traffic.

  In the end:

  vSwitch: vmnic1 vmnic6 active, active.

  VMK (Mgt): active eve of vmnic1 vmnic6.

  VMK (vMotion): active standby, vmnic6 vmnic1.

  I am trying to decide whether to use the parameter Raster or vector in the States of the object when the majority of the screen is a picture (with a modest but important legend for children to read). The legend certainly makes it look more net as vector. But does the photo! The raster setting seems to make the lower-res images in comparison. In my first edition of my application, I thought that raster would be the best setting when the photo was the subject dominating the page. Most of my readers/students in class will use iPad 2 s, which has a slower processor). Does slow down load time/refreshment in frame, which is a little less. I also found that the drop shadows really bad that redraws effect in vector, almost vibrating in a slide show, for example. Thus, in cases where I need shadows, I'm sticking with Raster.

  In a regular PDF document, the text looks more like a picture of the text.  We can see it, but the file does not contain the words.

  In an indexed PDF, text is stored as text, so it can be searched.

  When you scan receipts, 200 or 300 dpi should be fine.  If you plan to print the stored version receive 300 dpi would work well.

  I recommend PDF more TIFF.  TIFF files can store pages or multiple images in a single file, but access to additional pages is a bit awkward.  Generally, the file size is much smaller with PDF or TIFF.

  Yes. Veeam - as well as other applications of image - based backup creates a temporary while backup it VMs. depending on the activity of the drive of the guest during this time the snapshot could develop and fill the instant capture data store. More you customers backup simultaneously more risk. Unfortunately there is no rule on the amount of space free disk is needed, but the 80 GB seem to be really low. With a 2 TB data store, I suggest that book you at least 10% (preferably more) for snapshots.

  In addition to this, you need to monitor the disk space on a case where something goes wrong with a backup and snapshot cannot be cleaned automatically!
