BIOS unavailable on Satellite C875-135

Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite 135 C875

I have access to the bios with F2 once, but I did? the activation of the option "Quick ultra start" error, and according to the user manual, the configuration of the BIOS is now "limited."
Now, I can't access the BIOS anymore: I type at the beginning of the ESC, F2 and F12 without success, I still have windows.

What do I do? How can I retrieve the "normal startup"?

Thank you.

I'm having a problem with Satellite C875-10 t my sister
Thought it might be useful to enable the setting "fast bios.
and this occuered be the worst idea to have!
I am more able to again access the BIOS,
Despite my cd penalty that no longer starts, I'll have to try it on another Pc to make sure that the cd is ok...

Anyway, the computer runs windows8 and Toshiba hardware parameters that I downloaded does not (and was not done to w8 but seven times in fact... :/)

I really need some help here and would really appreciate that someone of the Toshiba team would give me help on this!

    Thanks to you all!

You can change it to normal mode again.
Open the Toshiba system settings > BOOT > boot speed and change it to normal.
Please do so and let us know if everything is OK again.

  • Satellite A300D-135 - BIOS - System Configuration data read error

After starting a Satellite A300D-135 laptop computer, the following error message appears:

    3070M extended RAM passed
    512 KB of L2 Cache
    System BIOS with a shadow
    Video BIOS with a shadow

    System Configuration data read error

    Press to resume, installation

After pressing F1 the machine starts Windows, very well, but the error message is quite irritating, while it comes with a loud BEEP

I tried the following things so far (in that particular order):
    -Load BIOS default
-Flashed the BIOS with the latest version of the BIOS (2.80) for this type of model
-Reinstalled windows with HARD drive format

All the these did not work.

I saw the same message appearing on several places on the internet (on different laptops with a Phoenix BIOS in common), but so far I have not been able to find a working solution.

It might me a hardware problem, but all devices (vga, soiund, lan, wifi, usb, hdd) seem to work perfectly under Windows, so this does not seem the question). Another solution that is mentioned in some forums, replace the battery. But because the phone keeps time correctly I don't think it's the case either.

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards

    Hello

The POST (power on self-test) BIOS checks and detects errors on the motherboard.
I think it has something to do with the hardware on the motherboard problem.
I doubt that you can solve this if update of the BIOS and the BIOS default settings didn't change that.

What to say; I think that the technician of the ASP should run tests to check what's wrong or what cause this I think it is question of s mobo.

  • Satellite C855D-135 - corrupt BIOS, black screen, keypad does not work

    Hello everyone.

I had some problems with my laptop Toshiba Satellite C855D-135. I had to change my internal hard drive, so I decided to install windows 7 on it (I used to have windows 8 but do not have the CD and I could not find the license key sticker).
So I went into the BIOS it go from UEFI to CSM, but something was not right and he seems to have corrupted the bios.
I think I have it bricked, but some things still work.

    When I turn it on:
-l' screen stays black (Yes, I tried it on another screen)
-the keyboard is not working (the leds do not turn when I press the caps lock)
    -the fan works fine
    -cd player works fine
-When I plug a USB key, it quickly flashes once, which seems to work
-When I removed the memory bar, the computer has done is the series of beeps

-J' tried to remove the battery, unplug and pressing the power button for centuries. (no luck)
-J' tried to remove the CMOS battery to restore default bios. (no luck)
-J' tried flashing the bios on a USB key, until I realized that the keyboard was not working and it was in vain.
-J' tried to update the bios on a CD and it ran for a while, but nothing happened in the end. I tried to put these files on the CD:
    -IBIOS. BAT
-C8610. FD (in the folder of Win8)
-C610. FD (in the WIN7 folder)
-J' tried to rename C8610. FD to the BIOS. FD

I am out of ideas now.
Could someone help me? Pretty please?
I hope that this is not the motherboard that broke, coz I really didn't have the money to send it off to be repaired.

In the history sounds very strange to me I never heard that that it would affect the BIOS to change the boot UEFI to MSC mode.
In my opinion, there is a serious hardware problem. As you already linked to, it would probably be a motherboard failure.

I recommend you to ask some technicians for hardware diagnostics to check the motherboard in order to be 100% sure about the fault.

If you n t have enough money and the motherboard is really affected you could try to recover a part of 2nd hand

    Hello

I don t know why it happened after updating the BIOS, but I guess that the language of the keyboard settings are not correct.

Go to Control Panel-> Regional Options & language-> language (second tab)-> Details

Here, you must choose the right keyboard (Spanish) language?

  • Satellite C875: Changes in Windows recovery after update to 8.1 Windows

For days now with no success, I tried to update Windows 8 (64-bit) for Windows 8.1 a Satellite C875-153 (PSCBCE-03H002FR)
I open a new thread as none of yarns available on this forum helped me, or my research on the web.

    * 1 error *-I have ' sort of ' figure is:
    -> * 8.1 Windows update fails with error 0xC1900101 - 0 x 30018 *.

I followed all the steps, in the proper order, this guide from Toshiba, but it did not help to resolve the error:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-upgrade-stepbystep/

I then followed the recommendation of this thread and has been 'temporarily' able to update OS Win 8.1:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=296594

Step that worked for me was to remove the network cable during installation windows 8.1 as suggested by user "RandyRoberts".

    * 2nd error: *.

*-> Windows 8.1 hangs and the system has attempted to restore changes to Windows 8 *.
By disconnecting the network cable, I was able to complete the update of Windows 8.1 and run it temporarily.

As soon as I reconnect the network cable and reconnect on the web, the computer crashes and restarts.
I guess Windows 8.1 strives to check license status and then refuse to turn it on.
Windows ends up trying to restore changes and back to Windows 8.

He hangs on reboot and refuses to recharge the previous operating system (Windows 8), leaving me on a screen with the options of couple. At this stage, I can only get the picture of the plant to be able to restart the system.

These measurements were made on an OS freshly reinstalled with no additional software.
All updates and the steps have been followed and recheck several times. I'm runnning last BIOS available.
I have already backed up all my data and burned the recovery disks.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

    Regarding the question:
Once you access the BIOS, the first page of the BIOS shows you details about the optical disk driver and the disk (size, name).
If these details are not, isn't HARD drive recognized.

  • Satellite L300D-135 - some keys stop working after a few minutes

Satellite L300D-135 (PSLC8E-02P013EN) portable model, boot cold keyboard is fine. As things warm up the keys R and there stop responding as do 7890 keys. May be heat related.

The keyboard has been replaced, old and new are doing the same thing, so it's more like a controller issue. Have flashed the latest BIOS as saw talk of the keyboard problems in one of the versions of the BIOS. The end user has been tolerated for a few months, but now, Dyslexic child needs to use the laptop and cannot deal with dead keys.

Any ideas? Laptop is 2 weeks out of warranty and user end just asked me to take a peek, problem has been around for the warranty period.

    Phil

    Hi Phil

Can you notice the question even if you connect an external keyboard or this only happens with an intern?

I can t imagine it has something to do with the heat, but if you want you can clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.

If this isn't the case, you must replace the entire keyboard. Normally it of not so expensive so Don t you worry not about it. You can also ask your ASP if they can repair as a gesture of goodwill.

  • Expensive satellite C875-136 - replacement motherboard

    Hello

    December 20, 2012, for my daughter, I bought a Toshiba Satellite C875-136. I paid 599.25

Last week the computer stop working (for me it was the motherboard).

I called Toshiba in my country: france. They said they had a partner for the products of the thesis: TYPES for Transfer from Toshiba support me the CONTROLS support

They said that I need to send to us the computer and the cost of troubleshooting research was 79.90.
So I sent my computer to this company.

This morning I received by mail a repair proposal for 864! (just to change the motherboard)
More expensive than a new PC!

I'm very surprised, when I called the first time the technician told me that a card mother estimate could cost 130.

It was my first Toshiba computer. He was 18 months old... and it was a "small" computer cheapy, not a computer gamer.

PS: I called Toshiba France, for us, there is no problem with the price of theses.

    > This morning I received by mail a repair proposal for 864! (just to change the motherboard)
    > More expensive than a new PC!

Wow! 864 for new motherboard is a costly business, but on the other hand, the motherboard went the more expensive laptop.
I guess a new motherboard costs between 300-380 series of laptop computer.

However, I think that 864 total includes the costs of additional services like the full replacement procedure, etc...

But of course, you can get a new laptop for 864 and I guess that it s not worth to replace the motherboard if the warranty isn't valid anymore.

  • Satellite P750-135 - key FN and Blu - Ray player does not

OK so recently I've noticed a few problems with my Satellite P750-135 with PSAY3E-059002EN part number.

Not words, the button FN done any work, however when the Toshiba flash card settings are configured to enable the mouse above, the functions that I would normally use, for example FN + ESC to mute or FN + F6 to turn down the brightness, etc., the works of service.

The problem has occurred since the drivers updated by a program on my PC but I can not restore the system to a point where the driver has been updated. I uninstalled the driver and installed the driver from Toshiba Web site and tried countless other things without success. Any help would be appreciated.

As for my second question, a while back I tried to play a Blu - Ray movie on my laptop and it works as it is. The drive plays DVD but when a Blu - Ray drive is inserted, the drive whirs, the AutoPlay window opens with no program to read it.

I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The drive in question works on my One Xbox and Playstation 3, and I've tried other discs that don't work.

    Any suggestions?

ccYou know that's not easy to say what the problem is here. When you get new notebook with the settings everything works and all the pre-installed drivers, tools and utilities work well together.
Many people install some updates which are not so important, and then something can go in the wrong direction.
    > The problem has occurred for a program on my PC updated drivers...
To be honest I don't know what program do you have average and exactly what has been updated.
In any case you can try to solve this problem of FN keys is to remove preinstalled Toshiba value added package, restart your computer and install the latest version of the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Utility of flash cards is part of this package and I hope after installation of VAP own this will work properly again.

    Blu - Ray movie question:
BD BD to play drive before graphic driver will change color and switch to Win7 basic running drive Toshiba BD is not compatible with certain Visual elements. Have you noticed this in the past, this automatic switching between the color schemes?
Did you perhaps updated original display driver Toshiba?
    > I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The very fact of start or not?
    This is a bit complicated.

  • Satellite A80 135 impossible to reinstall the operating system using the recovery disk

    Hello

Ive got a laptop 2005 Satellite a80-135 that worked very well until I tried to format the HDD after a performance of Ram boost operation (kingston 1 gb Ram module).

    Just after that, the computer started showing software problems and finally crashed;
So I decided to reinstall the entire operating system yet. and here, I found the problem I really hope you can help me

The thing is that I can't format my hard drive to my cd player (with recovery CD in) when the machine is restarted.
In theory, start the Panel menu should appear after the computer reboot with the C key simountaneously key but nothing happens.

    Thanks in advance
    concerning
    jozze

    Hello

Simply, the C button the STRANGE start.
You can also try to press F12 after the laptop has been powered.
Then the start menu should appear on the screen and then you could choose the ODD (optical disc) in order to boot from the CD.

If this is not possible, the question is perhaps related to WEIRD malfunction or recovery disk.
Maybe the CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc properly and so the laptop can not boot from the disc.
You can try to copy the recovery CD using another computer and might try to start using the copied CD.
If it does not the problem might be related to the WEIRD failure.

  • PCMCIA.sys problem with Vista on Satellite M40 135

    Hello

    (Sorry for my English)
I tried to install Windows Vista on my Satellite M40-135. (I added the 512 MB of RAM).

But, like all users, I have the problem with pcmcia.sys. Vista starts successfully when I delete the pcmcia.sys file.
But I have a problem: I have a PCMCIA TV and I could not use it without the pcmcia.sys file...

So I was wondering if Toshiba will download the new drivers for Windows Vista... This laptop is 'Vista capable' according to Microsoft System requirements...

    Waiting for your help...

Unfortunately, it seems that the snipe is right.
Can the hardware specifications of this laptop allows you to install the Vista
but it seems that Toshiba has decided to publish no Vista drivers for each series laptop.

In order to check this document:
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7201SK002HR01.htm

Not seem that your laptop series is not part of the list
