BIOS update release notes

Hello

I have seen that there are several updates to BIOS, version 6.50, 6.60 and 6.70 but no grade version with documentation on new features or resolved objections.

Doesn´t Toshiba provide this information?

I expect to have enough information to decide on the update by myself.

Someone of you has the most information?

Kind regards

Unfortunately on European page Toshiba Toshiba doesn't offer these tickets, just the BIOS update.
What you can do is to check the version of updating BIOS on page US - http://support.toshiba.com/drivers
You will find info what's new in some update of the BIOS.

In any case, if your laptop works well and stable BIOS update is not necessary.

    Hello

It seems that the OS Vista was preinstalled on this laptop.
This means that you have installed the Windows 7 system to your own hand.

The point is that BIOS update requires a few essential tools of Toshiba.
For example, the package of value added is an important software package and must be preinstalled on the laptop.

    VAP is installed?
If this isn't the case, install the PPV before trying to update the BIOS.

  • Pavilion x 2 10-n155sa: bios update does not install

HP Support Assistant on a new Pavilion x 2 detachable (10-n155sa) said that the needs of the (Doritos 2.0) bios updated. He is currently F04 and offered new is F06.

I accept the option of automatic update and it downloads etc and to sit down again 'installation' for too long. The PC is not suspended and the update can be cancelled OK, to keep the laptop on F04. It seems not really 'out' at all and immediately cancels the installation (I expected to take a long time to regularize).

The laptop is running. I tried several times now and just on the installation screen.

Someone at - it ideas? Is there a problem with this update? Any alternative to the automated mechanism?

    Thank you

    KB10

    Hello KB10,.

You try to update the bios through the HP Support assistant or you download the file directly on the site of HP?

    IF not, I'll try later.

    Here's the direct link... SP73945.exe

But in all reality, If it's not broken don't fix it. IF you don't have problems with the bios, then do not update!

BIOS update are a different animal than updating a driver. If something goes wrong, you have enabled your system in a brick.

And the HP Support assistant says you need to update the bios is not because its necessary. Don't do that if its absolutely need.

    But good luck anyway.

In the download page of my laptop, it seems that it is available a BIOS update, but once I download and extract, after showing my current verson is the 1.10 and this one is the 1.50, it displays an error message saying that this BIOS is not for my laptop.

How could I solve this problem? Is - this file is wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

    > it displays an error message saying that this BIOS is not for my laptop.
This message also appears in case you have changed the system and BIOS Setup cannot check the DMI info available on the laptop.

Have you changed something on your computer laptop IE: new operating system, drivers or tools?

    Hello Clemens,

PHLASHNT. SYS is flash Phoenix NT driver that is necessary if you're updating a Phoenix BIOS. However, you don't tell what Satellite phone model you update or what version of the BIOS update you are using (Windows or traditional). Please send additional information so that we can try to help you with your problem.

  • Tecra A11 - 11N - after that the BIOS update programs not loading now

My model is Tecra A11 - 11N. I ran the BIOS update and now some of my programs, including ITunes, Nokia Ovisuite, payer VLC etc. are not running. I tried to uninstall and reinstall them, but same problems.

In any case to come back before upgrade?

    Hi evangny,

I also Tecra A11 in front of me and have installed latest version of BIOS but this didn't affect all installed programs. BIOS and installed programs are different.
What you can do is load the default settings in the BIOS after the update.

Can you be a bit more detailed?
What exactly happens if you try to start these programs? You get an error message?

You use the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba?

  • HP Envy x 360: HP Notebook System BIOS update will not install

I tried to download and install the BIOS update.  Looks like if it downloads but just turn the gears instead of install. Waiting an hour for completion, but not worked.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Close HPSA, restart the computer, and then download the update of the Bios from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp75001-75500/sp75141.exe

Once the download is complete, close other open windows and programs, then open your download folder and double-click the installer to start the process.  The real flash will occur when you restart the machine - do not interrupt it somehow, even if nothing seems to be happening for a while - when it is finished, the machine will load in Windows as usual.

Note:  If the update option arises as being 'blocked on this device', you will need to contact HP in this regard.

    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion 15 - ab 155sa: download the BIOS update will not end

I was prompted to download HP Notebook System BIOS update (AMD processors. ) The "Setup" screen confirms that it is to install the update of 8,89 MB but does not end. I tried three times wait more than an hour each time with success.  Would appreciate your advice on how to solve the problem.

I was able to get this problem solved by Mike via online do chat on case no 3027047713 (disconnect WiFi problem). Using remote on my laptop, it was able to download the proper drivers. So far, everything seems to work ok.

  • The downloaded BIOS update, do not know if it has been installed, update view has not changed.

HP Support Assistant informed me that I have to download an update of the BIOS. After downloading and restarting the laptop, notification to download the update of the BIOS is still there. Tried redownloading but this time to stop the power of 10secs then turned on, but the BIOS update notice always there. After research on the HP site, found a note saying that I shouldn't update my BIOS unless there is a problem.

The update is? Should I just ignore the update?

    Thank you!

    Hi @RobMan

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have found a message asking to update your BIOS to the support assistant and that you downloaded it, but the message remains. I'm happy to help you with this.

First of all, please send the complete product number and check the operating system on your laptop. See the following if you need help to find those.
How can I find my model number or product number?
Is the Version of Windows on my computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

It is not absolutely necessary to update the BIOS if you encounter any problems with something on your system. Once I have your product information, I can find the right drivers page, and from there we can find out which BIOS versions are available and notes see what corrections or changes are a part of it.

I have this also, include indicative.

With the help of HP Support Assistant (Windows 8)

  • BIOS update does not

Hey I tried updating my BIOS with SW updater and I started but whem he warned me when I starte, it would make my Board of mouse and the button does not work I pressed OK and then my antivirus firewall come asking me to allow it update my system, but I couldn't because my mouse and leyboard do not work so now I can't update or even stop what to do I do?

Updated your BIOS, it is always a major undertaking even if the process is simple. If your system works properly, its usually recommended you don't update the BIOS.

BIOS updates are generally irreversible, you must contact the manufacturer for support.

  • Announcements of updates & Release Notes Feedback

    Hi Chris:

I just read your announcement yesterday of the updates released with the APSB12-018 Security Bulletin.

I guess that there is just no security Bulletin only published the previous updates of OIR, which is...

    -Version 11.3.300.270 released on 02/08/2012 installed 03/08/2012.

    -Version 11.3.300.268 released on 26/07/2012 installed 07, 27-2012,

-Version 11.3.300.265 released on 11/07/2012 installed on 22/07/2012.

-Version 11.3.300.262 released on 21/06/2012 installed 23/06/2012 - OIR FF Plugin only.

... because these updates were none related to security, but only bug fixes... or is there some other reason?

Please note than other in your posted ads in Forum announcements, I can't find more information related to these updates of bug fixes because even your release notes (see the history section of Version of Runtime) are not updated no more?

    Thank you!

    Hi Rick,

You are right.  262, 265, 270 and 268 versions were bug fix releases only.  It seems we might have reset the Readme with the sortie.271, but the distribution of high level is as follows:

270 single fix for a crash that could occur with flashplayerupdateservice.exe

268 stability fixes, especially for mozilla firefox and protected flash drive mode

265 - stability fixes, audio fixed

262 - stability fixed for protected mode

    Thank you

    Chris
