Black 3 - recovery

I installed Windows on the Mixx3 10. Now, I want to return to the 8.1 window. I created a USB recovery. But every time I start up the tablet with the button VolumeUp / stop and select USB Boot, TI fair resturns to the menu where I can choose "continue to window 10. How can I get the USB key?

Yes. I found a solution. I used the USB with windows 10 to restart installing windows 10. In the question "Where you want to install Windows 10" I just deleted all existing partitions. After that, I turned off the tablet. Then I reinserted the 8.1 Windows USB and turned on the tablet. Then began the recovery and since there is no installation of Windows 10... the Tablet recovered from USB

  • Start an adjustment with the whites and blacks?

Martin Evening in CS6 for photographers recommend to adjust an image with exposure, contrast, and then fine tune with the shadows and highlights. Explains the use of whites and blacks only if necessary. Julieanne Kost has a pithy video on cab in which she begins by setting the white and black (which dates back to the advice of Bruce Fraser / Real World Photoshop using levels in Photoshop). http://TV.Adobe.com/watch/Photoshop-CS6-featuretour/Adobe-camera-raw-70-in-Photoshop-CS6/

I know that I can see what works best for an image, etc.. Ask yourself what is the recommended procedure.

I could write reams about it. Have already done.

I will however keep this short (for me) and let someone else take a better stab.

It is wrong to think of controls PV2012 as being something like those of other publishers.

The bottom line: give the picture adaptations she needs, whatever you start with.

So perhaps a better question is: How do we know what adjustments needs a photo in PV2012?

(I warned people against trying to arrive at a single procedure that will work for all photos)

    That's all for now.

    OK, maybe a quicky:

No matter what start you with, try to keep clear 0 or negative, shadows 0 or positive and shadows value exactly equal to the value of highlights. Once you have the photo in the ballpark in this way, no matter how you juggled exhibition & white..., then and only then, consider asymmetric values of lights and shadows.

WARNING: this "formula" works on 90% of the photos, not 100 percent. Or it could be 0% (or 100%) depending on what you're shooting...

    Okay, I can't resist:

Most of the pictures can be edited in this way:

    * Most critical exposure setting

    * Use - highlights for container of the upper extremity

    * Use + shadows to normalize the lower end

    * The difference in taste.

    * - black & + white to make full use of the available tonal range.

But at the other extreme, there are these:

    * Exhibition but still critical,

    * puts in light and shadows of the sliders do not hit the sweet spots: leave at zero.

    * Use - white & + blacks for recovery & fill, respectively.

    * You may very well push contrast, although it is an image too contrasted initially. Or not...

And then there's a whole series of photos which sit somewhere between the two...

Confusing? Yes. PV2012 is great, but delicate and requires a completely different way of thinking and a flexible 'procedure'...

Note: Highlights slider going positive, and cursor shadows going negative also, independently of the highlights slider for a reason. But their use in this way should be reserved for unusual cases of raw or refine already cooked jpegs, or you really know what you are doing and why you...

One last point is critical: exhibition in PV2012 sets mainly mid-level tones, that is why it is the most critical: highlights, contrast, shadows, all hinges on a suitable exposure setting.

Black & White adjustment are probably the biggest keys for optimal fit in PV2012, but they are more difficult to nail down, because their adaptation depends strongly on the photo, but maybe a golden rule to be broken:

    * - black & white if possible, for punchy complete histogram photos +...

    * + Black & - White tones tend to gang to the extreme endpoints of the gases, such as highlights & shadows adjustment do not understand... (or you prefer the softer look that can come, or else...).

WARNING: This is a personal thing, and probably different people different things that work best for them...

PS - Don't forget the curve of tone & inhabitants after basic setting (can be done over too, but it is not recommended until you have acquired sufficient experience).

    Rob

  • Sliders from the Basic tab

I just upgraded from 3 to 5.2. On the standard tab, I still have black of recovery and fill light sliders. Why didn't I sliders shadows not highlights white and black? How can I get them?

Apparently you look at the pictures that you have worked on using Lightroom 3. This means that they have been modified using the old version of process. The old process version has different sliders. You can change to the new version of the process in section calibration of the right panel in the develop module. Lightroom 5 sheets formerly adjusted images as they were, including the process version. New images that you import into Lightroom 5 will be automatically processed with PV 2012.

  • Develop charge always the same odd parameters for raw files

I don't know how I did it, but whenever I try to edit a RAW file for the first time, the default settings in the develop module are contrast, brightness + 39 + 53 6 blacks and Recovery 10.  I would like to point out that I use Lightroom 3.2 on Windows 7 64 bit.

I can't that assume I locked in these settings accidentally.  This happened for weeks through many different shoots in a variety of conditions.

How can I put when I develop a raw file, the default value of the sliders to 0... or something better that extremely contrasted?

    Thank you

So, a quick question appears here... have you looked at your import settings?  You, by chance, to create one that has these changes in it?

Fixing the import would be a more long term solution!

    See you soon!

  • Satellite A100 system goes to a black screen after the recovery procedure

I tried running the recovery CD, I received on my cell phone. the process perfectly, (I have only one CD, I don't know if I need a second). At the end of the process, I have the option to insert the second CD, or jump.
Because I don't have that one CD I have support on ignore.

I tells me that the installation is complete and I can restart my system.
Then I removed the disk and I tried to reboot the system. The system goes to a black screen (on which he indicates that Microsoft load) and then crashes. That was the problem I was facing before recovery.

Basically, the recovery process has not worked. I don't think I did something very wrong, unless I need a second CD. What could be the problem?

    Help me please!

    Hello

The A100 is one of the new series of laptops and AFAIK the image of Toshiba was placed only on a CD (DVD) recovery.
I think that the message and the possibility to insert the second CDconfuses a little.

In my opinion the black screen and freeze has nothing to do with the recovery procedure and the new installation if Windows OS.
Due to the fact that this problem has occurred until you have installed the OS from the recovery CD, I assume that there must be something wrong with the hardware.

But it s very interesting to know if the same problem appears after the new installation of Windows from the original CD of Microsoft.

    It's worth a try.

  • Satellite A45-S150 - black screen after the recovery process

After problems with a virus, I ran the recovery disk and reformat the hard drive and reloaded the OS. When the process pushes me to remove the disc, it begins to restart, but only shows a black screen. I restart the process of recovery only with the same results.

The laptop came loaded with XP, but that the recovery Application is running, it says it is loading Windows 98. Could the original recovery disc was loaded with the wrong operating system?

    What's next?

    Hey,.

    > I restart the process of recovery only with the same results.
You can install Windows using a normal Microsoft Windows disk?
So, you can check if the problem is related to the computer laptop or recovery disk itself.

    > it says that it is loading Windows 98
Don t worry not about this message. As far as I know it has something to do with the software that allows you to copy the recovery image on your HARD drive. Recovery disk still contains Windows XP ;)

  • Black screen after using Recovery CD - Satellite A60

    Hey,.

After a few Virus attacks, I tried to format my Toshiba laptop HARD drive and to install Windows XP Professional (normally a family license for XP Edition).
Everything was good, but I couldn't install some drivers (display, WLAN, Ethernet LAN...).

That's why I tried to use the recovery discs. But after the recovery has been completed I should replace the disk and restart the system. After the restart there is a black screen and nothing happened. Now, I have a problem. Why the laptop does not start after the recovery process.

Are there important invisible files on the hard disk, which could have been deleted when I tried to remove the HARD drive and install Windows XP Professional?
If so, how can I get back those files?

    Hello Phillip

    > Why the laptop does not start after the recovery process
It is a good question. On the HARD disk, you will find the image of Toshiba and this image is placed on the Toshiba Recovery CD. As you see it the laptop should load and initialize correctly after recovery. Nothing was concealed on the internal HARD disk

What is the Toshiba screen appear early initialization? You see nothing?
If not I would not recommend removing the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait 15-20 min and reconnect the pieces.
Then try to start the laptop.

  • Satellite - black screen and can't restart with the recovery disk

I have a black screen and can not restart with the restore disc but it seems to be.

I find this odd, I can't ask Toshiba direct on my problem, but I have to wait for one nature in the heart of my problem or give me a helping hand

    Hey,.

This means that you can see anything on the screen of the laptop or only if you try to start with the recovery disk?
You can start Windows or access the BIOS?
You must post a few more details, otherwise we can t help you :(

Furthermore, Toshiba is not your first contact, you should ask an authorized service provider. They can help you too! :)

  • Equium L300 - 17Q hangs at a black screen during recovery

    Help

    I have an Equim L300 - 17q.
I'm trying to restore my laptop to default after getting a virus.
I bought a toshiba recovery disk.
I followed the instructions after the laptop says it's loading files, it crashes then just at a black screen.

    Ideas please

    Hello

Have you tried to install the OS using another drive or maybe you could start Notepad using a Live CD Linux Live CD or WinPE or PartBE?

Please check because your problem could be related to the laptop computer part faulty (maybe the HARD drive) or defective recovery disc.

Now it s not possible to say what could cause this and, therefore, you should try starting with other disks.

  • Satellite M70 - black screen after the installation of recovery

So far, what I did is put in the Recovery DVD - ROM product. Then when my computer restarts I was invited to restore my computer failing and said. After that he went through this process, that he told me to remove the disc that I did. Now he only get a black screen after the Toshiba screen that gives me options f2 for Setup and f12 for options.

I don't know what to do now to make my laptop works again. Help, please.

    Hi Zach_1,

Have you tried to launch the installation of recovery again? Maybe that something was wrong during the first installation, it might have arrived
Then retry the recovery facility and see what happens.

If it doesn't work you should try a normal Microsoft disk so determine if the problem is related to hardware or recovery disk.

  • Satellite M70 - 350 - recovery disk stopped with black screen

    Hello

I tried my laptop with the original recovery CD or DVD recovery. He just stopped with the black screen and the error message.

After that, I tried the advanced recovery mode. By selecting the ghost Image, which gave me the Image corrupt error.

Weird enough even installing from an original CD of Windows fails. With that before even I can select something, I get a black screen with a blinking cursor. Appers whil the windows cd is loading drivers.
At the bottom of the screen, there are that many drivers listed one after the other. The last thing mentioned here before the blinking cursor is Partition NTFS.

Cause the original recovery disc has already deleted all the contend on the laptop it's usless now.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

I also think that there is a problem with the HARD drive.
If possible, try to get a new one and try installing the OS using recovery media again.

Do you use DVDs of recovery for the first time?

  • Satellite A100-495 - black screen after installing Windows XP Home edition recovery

After the recovery and download of updates and the XP operating system that the screen remains black, bios does not start, and XP does not start.

    What can I do?
    A I press a certain key combination?
How can I reset the laptop again?

    Who can help quickly?

    Hello Ralf

Stand by. If I understand you just your laptop does not work.

What happen exactly when you press the power button / stop? You don't see anything on the screen? You see Toshiba welcome screen.
    Power is ON?
    Is there a any reaction?

Remove the battery and leave the laptop for some time, connect the power supply only and try to start it again.
To be honest, this whole thing is strange. Recovery image installation is not responsible for this kind of behavior. Have you done something else that may be responsible for this?

  • Black 2 8 files missing recovery

    Hi fellow Black 2 owners.

I'm doing a resen on my black Tablet 2 plant, but so, it seems that some installation files missig, so I can't do or refreshment, or reset.

(To be precise, he says: "insert your Windows installation or recovery media to continue")

Previously he has worked, I have not touched any recovery/system partition.

How can I make it work again?

    Thank you

    Andrej

    Thanks Tomas for your suggestions!

I managed to reallocate the recovery location of the image file (in partition 5), with the use of REAgentC. After Refresh option reworked, so it has solved my problem.

  • hp blue circle on black screen, can\ ' t access the boot options for the recovery disc

I have installed Symantec disk full encryption and encrypted hard drive. Then I restarted the pc. I get a black screen with a blue HP logo in the Center. The low right sysa message press the ESC key for startup menu, but no key is working. Each button gets a beep. If I turn the power off, then on and press the various f keys, I get different messages but still no answer from all the keys.

Symantec sent a disc of recovery for deencrypt the drive, but I can't get the pc to load from the drive. Any thoughts?. I reset the computer twice (battery and power cord, hold the power button / stop for 30 seconds)

I remove the hard drive and then turn on the laptop to see what answer the BIOS.

From your description of the problem, it sounds as if you may have encrypted the whole disc rather than only the C: volume or the BIOS ROM file is damaged.

You should be able to go beyond the HP screen to access the BIOS.

The BIOS should give complain that it cannot find a drive with a bootable operating system.

If this happens, and you have the recovery disk set or usb recovery media, life is good and you will need to take a look at the Symantek forum to see how to proceed with your encrypted drive.

If it does not then, the problem is the BIOS on the system board.

By pressing the ESC key and have the start menu appear is conditional on the BIOS being in good condition. Yours may be damaged. Try download a softpaq BIOS on another PC, extract the BIOS ROM file and put it on the root of a usb key. Put the USB key into a USB port on the laptop. Press the power button and immediately hold down the Windows key and start receiving the B key. If it works and you see an led flash, release the keys and wait. the process must load a BIOS file to replace the one damaged. This takes time, so be patient if you see a blinking led or no reaction from the laptop for a few minutes.

Post your results here and we can take the next steps, you can take.

    Best regards
