Black display border zone screen?

I've recently updated to Windows 7 64-bit of Windows Vista 64-bit. After the upgrade, a border of 1 in black appeared around my area of my display. I reinstalled the drivers and it did not help. I tried to retract it, but I do not have an option of scaling with my driver I can find in CCC. I have a HP 2159 m HD-ready monitor with a HDMI cable and an ATI Radeon HD 4600 graphics card. Somehow the upgrade to Windows 7 messed the display area. I have it at the maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. Any suggestions?

Try this - you may need to install first the appropriate ATI Radean control Catalyst Center - just do a search for ATI Catalyst his show to be top of the list.

I have just upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit on my desktop Dell computer - I have a card Radeon 3450 on HDMI outputing to a Sharp 42 inch LCD TV. With the resolution provided up to 1920 x 1080, I got a black box of 1 inch around the screen and the text was clearly pixelated. I already fixed this problem in Vista Finally the follow up by default in the ATI Catalyst being 8% underscanning for HDMI control center out (anyone of the need for ATI/AMD to comment why is - right?).

The issue I had with Windows 7 was that I uninstalled and reinstalled the ATI software (such as recommended by the check of compatatbility of Windows 7) and I couldn't find the HDMI/implementation options to scale, because they are "hidden" behind a small black triangle on an icon (on a screen with another great icon of 'decoy'! n ' anywhere that ATI want comment on why that seemed like a good idea).

Dell Inspiron desktop
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
4 GB
Windows 7 64 bit
ATI Radeon 3450 PCIe with 10.4 Catalyst Control Center

The fix

Switch to a lower native resolution (for example, 1280 x 720)
Open Catalyst Control Center
Select the graph (upper-left), desktop and screens
Click on the small barrulet black in the corner higher RIGHT from the SMALL (SMALL repeat) display the icon at the bottom of the window
Select Configure
Enable the scaling of the GPU
Click on the 'Scaling Options' tab
Slide the slot / 0% overscan
Apply the settings
Return to full resolution (1080 p)

hope that helps

  • Satellite L670D-103 - nothing displayed on the screen

Hello, please help, my laptop does not start!

When I push button 'ON', there is nothing displayed on the screen, but the fan is running, the lights are on except the HARD drive light. The motherboard seems to be ok then, but there screen is always black! For your information, my HARD drive is nearly full (319, 8 GB / 320 GB) and I did not create Toshiba recovery disc

What is a screen or an OS problem, and how can I fix it? The screen display depends on the OS to start and the screen won't work if the OS is recovered?

    Thank you
    Concerning

    Hey,.

Theoretically, it could be a malfunction of the card Mother poster to find this point connect an external monitor to your laptop and if the internal display is faulty, you should see something on the screen. Otherwise another part is at the origin of the problem.

This problem has nothing to do with the HARD drive. Even without disc HARD is installed you should see the screen of the Toshiba BIOS at least.

Why you have not created the Toshiba Recovery disk?
The recovery disc can restore the factory settings on the HARD drive, but in this case it will not help you. Recovery disk is only software (Windows).

  • After the upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 games installed in my laptop (Chainz, Cubis and Bejeweled, etc.) have bars on each side when displayed in full screen.

I have a laptop Acer Aspire with a screen 16:9 wide (15.6 "), it has the latest graphic drivers ATI and all operating system updates.  After the upgrade to W7 (free upgrade with the purchase of the laptop) everything works wonderfully except all the games installed now not displayed in full screen, I get black bars on both sides, they used for Vista, but not with W7.

I already tried different settings in the games options, administrator, resolutions screen different, being run in maximized 'Vista' and 'Run' mode of the file properties dialog box shortcut and .exe.  This happened without any security program installed that is not a factor.

    I am at a loss.

This is to maintain the ratio l / h. It is how the images stretch. ATI no longer has the opportunity to play with the proportions for the sort of stuck like that unless you can find in your version of ATI Catalyst. It is in fact full screen as opposed to windowed mode, but it does not cover the entire screen.

You can try different resolutions within the application to see if it will actually make your apps full screen to use the entire screen. That's all, remains to be done. I don't know why ATI has decided to exclude this option because some people hate the black bars or hate the stretched images.

  • Rich black display: Brown in files created in InDesign CC

    I have a file in InDesign CS5.5, and it has a rich black shade as C = 75, M = 68, Y = 67, K = 90. It displays very well, it prints well, fantastic.

I take this same shade and put it in a new document with my recently installed InDesign CC. Rich black comes out: brown. I don't know what it will be printed as, but I want to display correctly before I worry about something else. Changing the appearance of blacks in preferences does nothing, doesn't change the performance mode or screen display.

Is there some kind of default new CC (or CS6) which is originally black display mode like that?

You probably have another working CMYK space located in both versions.

Here is the chronology of the events:

    (1) FF start on my MBP (OS 10.8.2) and the retina display working properly.

    (2) connect my MBP to a 24 "external display which has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (defined as primary) max. FF displays well on screen.

    (3) disconnect the external display and FF is now pixel on retina MBP. Updating of system preferences Dispay doesn't seem to help, or I have not found the magic technique.

    (4) restart FF and everything is fine.

The question seems so FF not to recognize the need to revisit the resolution of the retina.

  • Firefox will not display on the screen even though with Process Explorer, I see active Firefox.exe but no CPU usage

I use Firefox as default browser v10.0.2 on Dell XPS8300 Intel Core i5 and Windows 7 Ultimate and Compaq Presario CQ57 IO IO Intel Core i3 and Windows 7 Home. More frequently on the (approximately 90% of attempts) that Dell (50% of attempts) Firefox will not display on the screen when I click the icon. Cannot display other programs when it happens. I expressly say display because I believe that Firefox has started. To work around the problem, I installed Process Explorer on both machines and launch this program first, then click on the Firefox icon. When the problem occurs I see process Firefox.exe in the list of processes; some CPU consumed but, then, no CPU activity. If I click on the Firefox icon, yet another process opens in the list of processes, but with the same answer - some consumed CPU and then no CPU activity. If I have 2 processes running and kill the process from the 1st, the 2nd poster and then everything is normal. If I do not open it treat a 2nd, but kill the 1st process then click the Firefox Firefox is displayed and all then is normal. This problem has occurred since the original on the two new machines installation. I have updated the video drivers on both computers.

OK, let's see if we can solve this problem and make it work for you!

First of all, if you start Firefox in safe mode (restart your computer first, then when you open Firefox, hold down the SHIFT key) it starts more reliable? This is usually caused by a defective module. If this does not help, then restart Firefox, go to the Firefox, then add-ons button and disable your extensions one by one until you find the troublemaker.

Also, try to update to Firefox 11, it has several bug fixes that might make life easier here.

Just as a few troubleshooting steps base to ensure that we have all the bases covered,
Run all Windows updates, install all required service packs, etc.

Update all of your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.

Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This check allows that there is no virus on your computer, causing problems. You can uninstall this program after having cleaned the infections.

  • Satellite L500-1XD constantly restarts & display recovery blue screen

I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L500-1XD from an Argos store in August. Shortly after that I got it occasionally rebooted itself and displays blue screen of recovery saying that the laptop has recovered from a hardware failure. It has become more common recently and he often stops, displays the blue screen, reboots and done over and over again.

I do not have many new programs on the laptop and that you have installed all updates. I deleted programs I have installed with the exception of Microsoft Office.

Another thing that could be linked so that when the laptop starts, he says the Toshiba Service Station has stopped working and trying to find a solution to the problem.

I'd appreciate any advice on how I might remedy this

    Thank you in anticipation

    Hi katrina_1,

This means that the pre-installed Windows version is still installed, right?

Well, I think that it of difficult to say why it happens it could be a hardware or software malfunction. The two may be possible.
The reasons of the majority of blue screens are drivers or hardware itself are all properly installed devices in Device Manager or do you see yellow exclamation points?

In your case, I'll try to reinstall Windows. Maybe it s only a software problem or driver
Also if you have installed both modules of memory long live, test it with a module only. You can also use Memtest86 or another tool of diagnosis of RAM to test the memory modules RAM for failures.

    Hello

You have an Intel graphics card?

If Yes, then you could change the display position using this key combination:

Turn to normal: CTRL + ALT + UP
    Rotation 90 °: CTRL + ALT + LEFT
Rotate 180 degrees: CTRL + ALT + DOWN
Rotation of 270 degrees: CTRL + ALT + RIGHT

If you use another graphics card please check the graphic properties and advanced settings

If you have Windows 7 with Aero - click with the right button on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and click on 'show windows '.
    Side by Side.

    For all versions of Windows:

You could also reduce less than full screen using the small box to the left of the red X at the top right
and then resizing windows as you want.

    I hope this helps.

Powers on my computer, but no image is displayed on the screen.

You forgot to tell us something about your computer. You hear any sound from the computer at all once you turn it on, it? It sounds like the hard drive turning upward? You see absolutely nothing on the screen? Be more descriptive and include information about your computer (computer desk/computer laptop/brand-model), his age, and precisely what happens when you turn on the computer. It is a hardware problem and narrowing of component that failed is not possible without more information from you.

original title: how to make a slide show of photos scanned to display in full screen?  When you pass back to the pictures of small size.

This will happen if the dimensions in pixels of the pictures
is less than the display resolution in display properties.
(Start / Control Panel / display / settings tab)

Example... If your photos are 640 x 480 and your screen
the resolution is 1024 x 768... the photos will be not fill the screen
When displayed in the viewer of WP & F.

If you resize the photos and increase the size in pixels
to the same or a larger size than your screen resolution...
they will be displayed full screen.

(Beware... pictures low resolution may appear blurry/pixelated)
    When it is maximized).

Also... to consider... photos in Portrait orientation will never
be full screen unless they are grown in landscape orientation.

For the future... I would suggest increasing the DPI for scanning of...
