  You can check if you can use the last known good configuration. It's a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly. Whenever you turn your computer off and Windows shuts properly, important system settings are saved in the registry. Then it starts Windows with the last configuration of registry and the pilot who has worked successfully.

  I agree with the upgrade to windows 8.1 as the origin of the problem. If you check the video card, you will see that it is a 3000 graphics card intel. You will see that the upgrade has changed the driver to one for January 2014. I did a back roll of this driver. On my machine, she restored a driver with date of September 2013. After that the computer was OK all night so I think it solved the problem. Appears there is something wrong with the driver that is loaded with 8.1.

• My HP Photosmart Plus B210e printer will not print black ink, only gray/color.

  My printer HP Photoshop more faithful 210th has stopped printing in black ink last week. It prints color beautifully, but where there should be black it comes out just as gray or white spot.   -Very well, sounds like you might have clogged or dry print head. What I propose, is that you first use the Tools menu under Setup for clean print heads at least three times. If that does not improve the quality of your print (PQ) or if you already have gift which, I would say that you remove the printhead and clean the back of the cradle with a non fluffy cloth (like a coffee filter) and a little water. The section you want to clean will be triggered copper bumps where the printer makes electrical contact with the print head.

  Here's a suggestion. Go to the Nvidia Control Panel, choose video and television and then videocolors (or something like that; I have a Dutch version of Vista). We must lower the brightness (IE up to 40-45%) and high-contrast (IE 55-60%)

  Have used the Photosmart Premium all-in-One, C410b, for the past two years without problem, then today at half way through printing 18 page as it appeared that the photo or black cartridge ran out of ink.  I checked and found the black was 80%, but the photo was empty.  Changed the picture and now all I get is gray where black should be or nothing at all.  Searched the web and found I was not alone and have tried all the proposed solutions without success.  Do not have a cartridge spare picture currently and reluctant to buy if the appliance is defective in Terminal.  This appears as ongoing for several months now and would like to receive advice please.

  Look in your menu under Image > Mode. Is is set to Grayscale?  If so, choose a mode that supports color.

  3. If not change to inivisible, select all the charchters with the text tool I beam and set to none

• What to do when a virtual machine goes gray?

  I have an old version of Fusion on my son's computer, mainly because he never uses Windows. I very rarely do on her computer when I can't use mine

  Is 4.1.4 and I just received a message and upgraded to the latest version of the Mavericks. When I walked into the virtual machine, he gave me the "just improved XP automatically and restarted" message and would not work the network card in one of the three parameters (it has been set by default on NAT).  Then the virtual machine started giving the error message can't go in unity Mode (I think I was in the mode of the unit at the time!)
