Black screen/flashing curser on HPs3220n for Win8 installed

I try to install Win 8 64 Professional on my HP s3220n and I can't get past the black screen with the cursor flashing after as necessary to restart OEM. I tried to repair via the Win 8 OEM disc, negative and I have repaired the MBR through command prompt. I entered the BIOS and the HARD drive to start everything first without success. No external device is connected and if I restore to Vista 32 professional system works very well. Repair OEM watch win 8 on the HARD drive. Two large partitions have been formatted and are NTFS as part of a clean installation. What can I try next? A search in the Forums has not been revealed and the answer to this question. Yes I exceeded my ability of a novice at this stage. In the start screen, F10, Bios 5.18 review 18/06/2008 is listed if that helps. Thanks for any help you can offer. I ran the wizard MS and indicated that WIN8 should work just fine.

To be honest that I think n problem t is ORGANIC and, in my opinion, the exchange of the CMOS battery is not necessary.

You say you have "defective" material and you want a software solution?

Any material support - including the drivers and other software that may be necessary to enable a hardware component to operate fully in a given operating system - is the manufacturer of the equipment.  So if you have a problem with your nVidia GT220 video card - your first stop should be nVidia.

-In addition, you are in the hands of nVidia.

However it was a bit on the keyboard and when I opened it it seemed to be a crackling sound from speakers?

Is it buggered or is there anything i can do to fix it?

So is there another way to check what the problem? The screws are glued in place, virtually impossible to return.
It's the first time that did something like that, and I've tried the power reset. It solves nothing.

    Hi @Awoken ,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy ad with us.

I see that your computer does not turn and you get a model three blink code. You're right, that does not indicate a problem of memory. If he could get into the operating system, then it would be memory test that you can run, but only if you can get into the operating system. You will need to open and remove the memory. This is Service and Maintenance Guide for your model 50A removal instructions page if you can pass the screws.

Re-install the Agent from the view and tools (in the correct order) and make sure that the video card on the right is used.  It should be "VMware SVGA 3D".  Additionally, make sure that you specify the amount of video memory on snapshots that you use to create your pool (s).  I think that .NET has a hand in PCoIP as well; I would check to make sure it wasn't part of the puzzle that has been "updated" by Microsoft.

  • Y700, black screen of death

Hi, I live in Macedonia and there is less than a month, I bought the laptop. Earlier when I tried to turn it on, the power led lights up, the battery is used but the hard disk light flashes about and monitor shows absolutely nothing, not even the logo. What the hell? I want my money if she already has problems!

Hey, I managed to fix the issue - for now. I did allow the laptop sitting in black screen, which does not respond for an hour or two (did not keep track of) and then I hard reset (by pressing the power button until it turns off the phone). I turned on the computer laptop back and its functions have been restored to normal. It works normally now, I only hope that this never happens again. I kept the laptop disconnected at the same time and allowed the battery (to 38% when I turned the laptop back and was able to check how the battery was left).

  • ThinkPoint infected computer won't allow any mode of windows to start: safe mode, normal mode, etc. A black screen is all I get.

I have two computers. Those infected with Windowx XP Home Edition. All of a sudden (yesterday October 18, 2010) the ThinkPoint popup appeared. On my own computer, I looked for solutions and has been able to stop the service through the Task Manager. Then downloaded MalwareBytes. He scanned and detected 5 elements. He then opened a text window indicating that the 1 point might be deleted and needed to restart the computer. So, I followed the instructions on the window of MalwareBytes. But after reboot, a black screen. If he walks again and a black screen. F8 works but after I chooseany mode (safe mode, previous configuration, etc.) a black screen again. I looked for solutions and all assume them safe mode or any different normal windows mode, it works. My problem is that no boot option (same normal Windows) seems to work. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

  • Black screen with cursor when connecting Windows 7. Reinstall the drivers doesn't help not.

I have a Windows 7 Pro machine that boots to a black screen with a cursor instead of the login prompt, but if I press some keys like enter and tab that I will get a few blue squares where probably windows are appearing.

I can boot into safe mode and log in. I can then disable or uninstall the video card and the boot into normal windows. But if I install the Intel to the HD3000 integrated video drivers, the black screen will be there waiting for me when I reboot.

I tried with and without external monitors connected.

I tried to uninstall the drivers in the menu programs and features (also selection to completely remove the drivers), and I uninstalled them through Device Manager. I then reboot before installing the Intel drivers again. I tried the version on the site Web of Panasonic, as well as the latest version of the Intel Web site. Results have been the same every time.

Are there left behind somewhere that I could try to remove registry keys? Perhaps a more thorough removal method? Something more creative? All ideas welcome!

    System Specs:

    Panasonic Toughbook CF53 (A)

    Windows 7 Pro 32 bit

    Intel CPU 2520 M w / HD 3000 integrated video

    4 GB OF RAM

This system has been restored to a standard corporate image, unfortunately is no longer near factory that she'll get. System Restore will not be an option because he has never been in a working state. Startup Repair was not an option due to disk full corporate encryption that seems to make the unreadable disk at this time here. I tried but it fails and I can't find the drivers to be used in the environment of recovery for this BeCrypt Disk Encryption.

    Hi Brian,.

According to the information that you, as you can start your computer in safe mode without problem, then the problem is probably with the supplied driver. Since the installation of the driver is causing the problem to occur, one possible cause is a driver you want to install is not compatible with the system. We suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your computer for help on installing the correct driver for your PC.

    Kind regards.

    Hello Kiwivic,

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the Installation of Windows 8. As I understand it, you get a black screen during the Installation of Windows 8.

I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

2 are the external devices connected to the computer?

Method 1: disconnect any external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and then install Windows 8 and check.

Method 2: Select the edge device devices in device/integrated graphic of BIOS (Basic Input output device) and check.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.
