Black screen using a drive Blueray or DVB - T receiver as input HDMI device

We have a problem with our Cisco Telepresence profile 65 double (C90, MultiSite, NaturalPresenter, Premium, Firmware TC5.1.4.295090 resolution):

Using a camera document connected via HDMI (as a source of entry "DVD"): works well.

Using a receiver DVB - T connected through the same HDMI input (like "DVD" input source): black screen

Using a Blueray Sony player connected via the same input HDMI (like "DVD" input source): Watch the Sony boot animation when you turn on the Blueray player, then: black screen

Seems to be a problem with the Codec. When it is connected directly to the HDMI the screen, the Blueray player works well.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Manual

Hello.

HDCP is a capability in handling handling the HDMI chip.

I don't beleve not support the codec that have. It's beeing encryption sent by the blu - ray, and codecs does not contain the decryption feature.

    Hello

My Satellite A210 - 11 p suddenly goes to a black screen and the hard drive stops working. It is always under tension and if I want to restart I have to unplug the unit and remove the battery.

I thought it was overheating and checked the time and they were really high in the 1980s. I took the fan and cleaned (very dusty) and the basic form of thermal paste. Temperatures plummeted now immediately but I still have the same problem, I updated the graphics driver and watched the temp on GPU (which is fine) but the problem is still happening. I used a number of programs to check for errors on the hard drive and no reported problems. I reloaded Windows 7 but still no joy.
The problem seems to occur at any time and is not due to the execution of a given program, even just browsing with firefox

Not too sure what to do and any advice would be welcome.

    Hey Buddy,

    > I reloaded Windows 7 but still no joy.
Have you ever tried with Toshiba Recovery disk operating system?

The Toshiba recovery disc there is an image of the settings from the factory with all the drivers and tools. If you install Windows on this disk, you factory back.

That would mean if you have the same problem after the installation of recovery it s really bad hardware working because you have pretested settings of Toshiba. In this case an authorized service provider can help you make an accurate diagnosis what part is affected.

Hmmm on which site did you download and install the ATI graphics card driver?
The laptop seems to be produced and designed for the American market. That's why drivers should be downloaded from the Toshiba site we!

In any case, this problem seems very strange. In my opinion, you used everything simply wrong driver.
Try to start in safe mode using the F8 key at the beginning of the startup procedure and remove the graphics driver.
If this does not help, try to install the operating system using the Toshiba Recovery CD!

  • Black screen during GeForce Driver installation or uninstallation 3D Vision.

Recently, I did a clean install on my PC. Then I downloaded GeForce and since my PC automatically updated an older version of the driver and installed Nvidia Audio and 3D vision drivers (THAT I don't WANT OR NEED), I chose the "Clean install" GeForce mode that removes Nvidia all previous programs and install the most recent drivers. Now, I did this because whenever I try to uninstall my computer 3D Vision driver manually it suddenly hits a black screen with the mouse still visible and stays there forever, unless I turn it off. Now, when I turn it on again once it does the same thing, but for some reason when I turn it on and the second time it starts normally. But when this happens, the 3D vision driver ends up not be uninstalled. I did a clean install of GeForce could solve this problem, but exactly the same thing eventually occur. If anyone is familiar with the program GeForce or Nvidia drivers could help me it would be much appreciated. I'm not going to turn off my PC, because I don't want to damage the disc hard environment installation (which I continue to have to do, but then get corrupted and I have to perform a clean installation of Windows to regain space lost since corrupted files). But for some reason this black screen where the mouse is always visible, will not disappear.

I found the problem, I think the drivers to reset my "resolution"setting"one incompatible with my monitor, setting the lowest possible at my screen resolution appears to have resolved the problem. The installation would be stuck as the pilots tried to change the resolution of the screen, a compatible with my monitor and be unable to make further progress. Fortunately, appears to no longer be the case.

  • HELP, (start black screen, floppy drive 0 error of research)

at the start, it's a black screen saying "diskette drive 0 seek failure", with the option to press F1 to continue.  I don't have a floppy drive on my pc and have no idea how that happen suddenly.

I did and went everywhere for a solution without success.  I know it's an easy fix, but for the life of me, I don't know how.  As it is, I need to be on the pc press F1, whenever I get updates, etc.

Please help me find the correct solution and I will be eternally grateful.  Thank you in advance.

Your computer has a floppy inside drive?  If so, the drive has failed and should be replaced.  If not, or if you aren't sure what a floppy drive is :-) then you must go in your computer's BIOS Setup and disable the floppy drive option.  How do you and when you do this varies check so a computer at another manual support site or your computer for details online.

  • Black screen after installing attempt

I tried a windows 7 upgrade on a desktop D5100t and on the last restart I got a black screen with no video.  I finished the Upgrade advisor scan and deleted all software problems before the upgrade.  Help.

That's where I was headed.  The "Starting Windows" animation is an animation of fixed resolution (1024 * 768).  After that, it loads the graphic driver and going to the "preset" resolution  If something went wrong the resolution then it could try to drive an inconsistent signal.

You hear the windows startup sound?

Windows 7 has some nice features around HDMI connections.  Try this: start the system and let it go to a black screen.  Once the hard disk activity remains somewhat, unplug your HDMI cable.  If you do not have your audio files via the HDMI port, you will hear the sound of "Bell" with a disconnection device.  If you have not your audio via HDMI, then of course you won't hear anything when you disconnect the cable.  Wait a few seconds and plug it back.  This will force windows to enumerate the screen again, and it can give you the office (or the log on screen).

    Hello

I suggest to manually restart the computer and try to start in safe mode and perform a System Restore. To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    4. click on finish.

Once the computer is restored to the earlier date, try to install the updates manually.

You won't lose your data saved in the hard disk by performing a system restore.

  • After using a third party partition manager program left to extend my Windows 8 partition, the system of Windows 8 start to a black screen and Windows 8 partition of the drive letter has changed

Original title: problems of Windows 8

I have Windows 7 (32 bit) and Windows 8 (64-bit) is installed in a dual boot. I tried to extend the partition of Windows 8 with a third party partition manager. Subsequently, I restarted after having learned so much.

Later, the first thing I saw was that the locked screen image is replaced by a blue color. Photos of the user are also missing. Once connected, it took a long time for windows everything ready, and I'm stuck in a black screen with the mouse pointer.

I entered in Safe Mode and found that the drive for Windows 8 letter has been changed (C: = Windows 7;) D: = recovery partition; E: = Windows 8, new drive letter; F: = Windows 8, old drive letter), I tried to change the drive letter, but it does not work.

Partition of Windows 7 works well (it is what I currently use to put this problem), and I can access the data in the partition of Windows 8. I tried the methods of different repair without result (such as chkdsk and sfc/scannow).

Can someone help me with this please? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

I understand that you have a problem of black screen with Windows 8 and the drive letter for the partition of Windows 8 is also changed. This problem is due to the use of the third party partition manager program because it affects the registry files and causes the instability of the system.

Try to run auto repair from the Windows recovery environment and check if that helps.

Method 1: start the recovery environment with installation of Windows 8 media.

It is another way to boot the PC and launch recovery tools when something goes wrong with the operating system.

Please follow the steps below. Insert the DVD to install Windows 8 on DVD-ROM and restart your computer.

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (b) select the good time and the type of keyboard .

    (c) click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.

    (d) select Troubleshooting to Choose an option screen.

    (e) click on advanced options in Troubleshooting screen.

    (f) click Auto repair of Advanced Options screen.

    (g) following, choose the operating system by clicking on its button.

    (h) Windows 8 will be looking for problems on the hard drives and verify that all required files are intact.

Method 2: Run the restoration of the system of the Advanced Options screen.

System Restore to restore your computer to a previous state, quickly and easily without losing any of your files and personal settings. Sometimes when you install programs or drivers, they can affect some system settings and prevent other programs to function properly. You can use system restore to restore these settings to their previous state

    Follow these steps:

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (b) select the good time and the type of keyboard .

    (c) click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.

    (d) select Troubleshooting from the Choose an option screen.

    (e) click on advanced options in Troubleshooting screen.

    (f) select System restore.

After the system restore your documents and files will always remain to their previous state.

If you do not install Windows 8 media, I suggest you connect to any other computer and create a floppy disk to install Windows 8. Using this disk, you can run the troubleshooting provided methods.

How to create the installation media for a PC refresh or reset:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

You can also try the same steps using the bootable USB key. You must select USB as the first boot to the BIOS device.

Note: Microsoft don't recommend any third-party partition manager program because it corrupts the registry files and cause the instability of the system.

Write to us if you're still having problems. We will help you.

  • Qosmio F60 - 10J: black screen after XP Nvidia GT 330 M driver installation

    Hello

On my Qosmio F60 10J, I installed windows XP on a DD of esata, I found almost all the XP drivers. XP works well, now...
I downloaded GT 330 m XP drivers on the Nvidia site because the Web from Toshiba site, it's only for Windows 7.

I installed these drivers XP of 330 m easily... but to reboot XP, after the XP logo, I have a black screen and a fan running at full speed.
I tried to change the options in the bios, but it's always the same problem.

    You have an idea?

    Thanks in advance
    Franck

    Hello

Seems that the driver is not fully compatible.
Try the www.omegadrivers.net graphics card driver
But note; Drivers Toshiba not in use ONLY at your own risk.
As far as I know, these 3 third-party drivers are not configured for mobile use and this means that the GPU could overheat and damage.

  • Black screen on the Satellite A350-122 using Linux Ubuntu

    Hi all

I have a couple of months it has installed Ubuntu 9.04 (which completely replaces Windows XP) on my Toshiba A350-122 and this worked perfectly, until a recent day.

One day, after having locked the computer, when I came back the screen was very dark and nothing was visible, except with the help of a powerful light behind. Reboot and remove the battery change nothing.

    * This is the case at the beginning of the boot, and even the Toshiba logo is not visible.
    * However, the system starts normally, and I can see in the darkness of my login prompt.
    * I can also select the BIOS Setup, but the screen is too dark.
    * I have no display on an external device.
    * It was not held after an update of the system.

The first time it happened, I got it repaired.
The guy has managed to make the display work and then restored Windows XP.
They said: ' + Linux is responsible for + "... we cannot do anything more!

I reinstalled Ubuntu, and it happened again the next day... :-(

    * My questions are :*
    # If it is software issue, don't you think it should work in installation mode?
    # Is it possible to reset the display or video card?
    # How can I find out the type of video and the reference (don't forget: my screen is black)?
    # Someone has an idea to advance?

    Thanks for your help

    Martin

    Hello

I think it's certainly a Linux software problem because the laptop work correctly using Win XP or Vista preinstalled Toshiba I m right?

The fact is that Linux is not supported by Toshiba:(et vous ne trouverez pas tous les pilotes compatibles sur la page de Toshiba)
So you have to pick up on some pages of party 3 drivers needed

On the black screen issue, I think you should check if you're used to that a graphics driver right maybe an update will help.

my diet went power three times in quick succession, I have a Belkin surge in place.

When the power finally settles on my screen was black and the HARD drive has just kept going "ker click, click ker, etc etc. No beeps or anything else.

The computer man couldn't get anything to show even with the new HARD drive. The old HDD is still running... everything "ker by clicking on '...

All systems have the power, the fan, USB ports, the disc recorder drive all are ok.

    All secret switches?

    Thank you Jay...

computer technology has suggested that it might be the motherboard after testing the HARD drive and it does absolutely no good and whatever he does still nothing worked.

Then... I bought a HP 27 tilt want to replace the Omni 27.

Problem is that the desire has no DVD disc drive...

so... I took one of the Omni and put it in a Slim Data kit USB and that fixed that,

The 16gig of ram instead of the 4 GB installed in my laptop, that made no difference.

Looking for uses for the rest of the expensive bits... :-)

  • Screen black after using the HDMI cable, but still slightly visible screen

    Hei

I got a c850-10 X. Brand new. Used only for a week or two.

When I connected it to my TV (LG 42') with a HDMI cable it worked fine. But when I do not use my TV as a screen of my laptop is a black screen. Now I can only use a second display as screen alone because my laptop screen is black all the time. It is not completely black, I can still see my desktop slightly behind some sort of black cloud. If I make the screen brighter, I see a little more.

(It is not the "shear screen" or "Fn + F4" problem, my screen on the laptop is just black. No matter what I do)

I read a few tips and tricks on the internet for this problem, and I tried the switch off, remove the load cable and remove the battery and press the power button for 30-60 seconds before I put in the battery and then restart my laptop. But still no luck.

Why is this happening? Anyone know? What is a wire between the screen and the under part of the laptop?

A driver problem? Tried to uninstall the driver from the Intel card, but then the screen went APE, so I reinstalled it again.

Everything worked fine until I used my TV as a screen ekstra...

I have an older Toshiba laptop where the same problem apperied, but this laptop has served for about 4-5 years so I thought that I just get a new...
