BlackBerry 10 correcting lead me in turns!

* sigh *.

BlackBerry...

* sigh *.

Correcting some of the absurd things I noticed up to now-

  • Type a comma, space, and a word starting with "n" suppresses the space and takes advantage of the "n". O_O
  • The word 'window' (NOT ',' as in the operating system, but a simple 'window' godsdamn) gets capitalized.
  • 'Kuwaitis' stubbornly 'Kuwait' past, even after he wrote dozens of times f!@#ing.  It is not an esoteric words, forchrissakes!
  • It is IMPOSSIBLE to easily two periods (a mini ellipse) or two dashes or a ""? "" or something similar.  The system will not simply accept the it.  And built-in ellipsis (...) is difficult to achieve when you type fast.  So, to achieve any of the above, I have to: type the word, type the first symbol, press space, remove the space, enter the second symbol, type a space, remove the space, type the third symbol.  I mean, W-T-RAHMA!

For the most part, I'm satisfied with AutoCorrect.  I got used to him and I prefer it to the previous OS but these things (there are a few others but can't think of them now) are INCREDIBLY annoying!

Well, after the last update (10.2.1.537) questions from my original post have disappeared.  The keyboard works like a charm

THANK YOU, BLACKBERRY!

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphone won't turn on all the way, please help!

I have a blackberry curve 8520, I bought last month some time.

I woke up yesterday morning and the balckberry was off and not turn on after that I pushed down on the button. So I loaded for some time, and yet, it wouldn't turn on. Then I took off the charge it, took out the battery, put the battery back and it restarts. The loading bar went well in the end, and my ISP logo appeared. And that's when he stopped loading. All that will show is the logo, it does turn off, unless I get out the battery again.

I had downloaded an application the previous evening, he stopped working out appworld, which could affect it? I tried to connect it to my computer, but it won't let me delete or add applications.

I take out the battery for hours and the SD card. He still wiil only turn on until my ISP logo.

Help, please! Any advice would be helpful.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • Encryption of blackBerry Smartphones memory devices does not turn off

I want to use blackberry protect but since I got my phone there a small lock next to the checkbox to disable encryption so I can't turn it off. I upraged to os7.1, but the problem remains. Can someone help me?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I'm not sure about the correlation between the encryption and the BB Protect... you jumped from one to another at whiplash speed in your post... do not understand.

But, nevertheless, if encryption is active and locked, then the most likely answer is that your device has a COMPUTER Board policy that requires encryption is active. You can check the existence of a COMPUTER policy via this method:

If you're on BES through your company or otherwise, you have to stop now and talk to your BES admins, because they are in control of it on your device policy.

If you are not on BES, then somehow you got a device that once stood on BES, and who gave you sanitized it not properly before give you the device. You can now clean, but it will be totally destructive. Therefore, please begin by reviewing the Backup link in my sig auto on this post and make sure you have a full and complete backup.

Once you have a backup, you can do this to clean your BB of the it policy:

Subsequently, when you restore, DO NOT make a full restore... rather just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid any database that have nothing to with COMPUTER policy, business, etc.. If you restore those, they will dutifully restore COMPUTER policy and you will be right back where you started.

    Good luck!

  • My 9810 blackBerry Torch Smartphone screen won't turn

I posted this yesterday. Today, I removed my battery to reset and the screen will rotate for a short period of time and then stops. Back at new sound OK, but after a moment he used to turn.

    Skinz Hello,

I would say to do a reload own the BlackBerry® device software, as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320, please test before you restore all data on the device.

If this resolves the problem do a selective restore of critical data (address book, calendar, tasks, notes, BBM, contacts etc.).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Curve Radio "Off", how to turn around?

OK, I discovered that when I searched this problem, many people have had the same problem: the battery is too low (something I would NEVER let happen after this gene) and the radio is off.

The problem is, I followed all the directions to go to the icon 'Manage connections' and check the box "Mobile network".  Even when the box is checked and the circle beside it turns green, it is still saying that my radio is disabled.

Then when I scroll down to "services status" is said that my blackberry internet service is "not connected". How can I fix it?  Help, please! Thank you very much!

    Try resetting the device.

  • BlackBerry software correcting spelling when you type in the environment of mixture

    Hello

I'm really loving the environment mix so far, but am annoyed that text entry is not the same as on the current device. So the mixture to be a true extension of office for the BlackBerry device, it must have the same entry and the grammar of text features. My blackberry a word of many substitution rules that I use a lot (for example, bb-> BlackBerry, mypin-> the PIN code for my device, etc.) as well as the common English grammar (e.g., first word capitalization etc.). I find that the absence of these features on mix seriously hampers its rates of use and adaptability that users find it cumbersome to answer emails, BBM, etc., without any support from the grammar.

Everyone here agrees with me? Does anyone know a solution to this?

    Hi @sapter5361

I was able to confirm that the fate of the unit entered substitute check and Word will not work with BlackBerry mixture.

That being the case, that I have passed along your feedback to our product for review teams.

  • BlackBerry smartphone WI - FI does not turn off

Just got a new BB Curve 9360. I keep trying to turn off WIFI to save the life of the battery, but when I click on WIFI in the management area of the connections it starts spinning turns back on after a few seconds. It is a kind of automatic connect feature that turns the WIFI if it detects a signal?  If so where can disable this function?

Hello and welcome to the community!

What you describe is quite unusual... so... each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • Smartphones blackBerry "Radio Off" and cannot be turned on via 'manage connections '.

Hey all, hoping someone has seen this before on the curve.  I ran downstairs to the power and the radio stops automatically, but now, no matter what I do that worked previously, (make a call/go in manage connections-"Turn on all connections") the radio does not turn on.

Any ideas or advice before I commit to BlackBerrycide?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Try to remove the battery when the phone is turned on,

Let it down for a minute, then replace, leave the device completely restarts

1-3 minutes, see if the problem comes back.

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 Smartphones: Wi - Fi turns off immediately.

Our company has been able to receive the new Bold 9900 to the Japan, but it seems that there is a problem with the wifi on the device activation.

Tried to turn the Wifi, but it tries looking for the networks then eventually fails and disables wifi. It isn't even a list of active access points. Do a battery pull and reset the default device does not do the trick.

I think it might be a defective unit or maybe a software problem.

You wonder if it's a problem with these recent bold to the Japan. Anyone have similar problems?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones several problems with my turn

I like my turn, but here are some problems I encounter:

-When I tried to do a diagnostic test, I clicked on options, menu, mobile network and diagnostic test - I read on how to do this elsewhere.  The result is that the screen says 'empty '.  Am I missing something that I should have and how do I get it?

-When I'm in the calendar - say a Tuesday, and I am on the point of entering a new appointment, too often the day changed to Wednesday or another day.  Since I use the working calendar and planning a large number of appts., is very annoying.  Is there a way to keep the same day?

-the trackball problems come mainly when I play a game - for example, Word mole.  It takes several tries to get to the letter I want to enter.  I read that the upgrade of the os is supposed to improve the performance of trackball, but Verizon has not yet available

-sound quality using blue tooth in my car is not as clear as the cruve - but the os upgrde is supposed to address also.

-some of the keys are hard to press

I had my turn the first day it came out.  Maybe I should have waited.  I can live with most of these issues, but the timing is a problem.  I tried affecting key horizontal and vertical sensitivities at different levels, but it doesn't seem to help.

    Any ideas, suggestions, and commiserations?

    Liz aka tilly4

    Josh,

1 million thanks!  I was hesitant to go to Verizon because I didn't go through having to download and install everything again.  Now I feel more optimistic about obtaining a trick that works properly.  Congratulations!
