BlackBerry 10 how e-mail is working on my new Q10?

Hello BB10 gurus.

My experience with my new Q10 is now measured in days, not hours...  (1.25 days to be exact).

Anyway, I am trying to get a handle on how this unit handles my Telus email accounts.  I use two accounts - we'll call them [email protected] and [email protected].  On my old curve these e-mail accounts have been configured so that when a STAFF message has been deleted it has also been deleted from the server, however when a message from the FAMILY has been removed it is stayed on the server to be removed when the family PC was then introduced on the market.  These settings for each account are setup at http://telus.blackberry.com.

Now, I'm not a network guru and admit not knowing my IMAPs my orbits so I don't really understand how the new BB10 is different from the curve when it comes to managing these e-mail accounts.  Can someone explain it to me in a few sentences?  Thank you.

Then, why is there such a delay in the transmission of the Q10 using these accounts.  Sometimes an outgoing message is located in the hub with a small gray clock next to her for an hour, then without warning the clock becomes a check mark.  Is there a way to send immediately?  I feel that this is part of how BB10 handles differently the e-mail accounts... If I so look forward to your responses.

Thank you in advance.

1 Yes, that is what I mean.

for 2, it simply means that you have enabled synchronization of the Z10 server, for deleted messages.

Yes, what you see, it's normal, regarding how things currently work on the Q10.

At the time of send messages, I have enough information to answer.
You can send yourself an e-mail from Q10 and then on your desktop e-mail software, display the message. Somewhere, there is an option to view the entire email, including the complex message headers. These headers contain valuable information, regarding all the path taken by your email to go from your Q10 for servers of different e-mail and the last mail server to your desktop software.
If you manage to read (basically, there are several lines "receipt for xxx at the moment", and looking at the date and time tags, you can see how long the e-mail was parked on each server.

I have 2 personal email accounts and an ACCT of work.  Each staff acct has its own icon on the desktop that I use to view the Inbox for this account, and that shows when I have the new msgs.  I would like to continue this.  But I would like to stop the personal email appear in my list of main message so that only the work email appears.  Is this possible?  I use a BlackBerry 8820.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

By default, BES email is made only in posts emails BIS icon/App are placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

Your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

Or you can get the application to empower BES Inbox. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server level and affects only a single user.

Neither solution would do anything on Messages - will continue to contain what it contains today. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your home screen that is a filter for your BES emails only. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how GPS Blackberry Bold 9700 works in India?

    Hello
3 years ago, I bought a Blackberry Bold 9700 (T-Mobile) in the United States with 2-year contract. While home, I pretty much used the feature of maps/GPS directions very well.

But since I went to India at the beginning, I had the phone unlocked by T-Mobile. After his arrival in India, how can I now make the GPS works? Will be fair with an offer for the data service to the work of mobile service provider? or should I do something else in the BlackBerry phone device to make it work?

I'm looking forward to using the GPS for the use of applications that could help me track my race (like RunKeeper... etc)

Any help on this aspect is highly appreciated. Thank you.

BlackBerry data plan is totally different from normal Internet data plan. It is essential requirement to the configuration of the e-mail, browse the internet or using BlackBerry Messenger.

You can browse the Blackberry App World with this data plan and install applications. You can do without the data plan. In this case, you will need to use the Wi - Fi feature.

Hello.  I have a Curve 8330 on Sprint network.  About a day and a half, I stopped receiving my emails on my phone.  I can't send email either.  SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work very well.  My e-mail account works fine if I connect via the browser.  My wife has the same phone has a hotmail e-mail account and had no problems.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how BIS works with MDaemon

I had installed mdaemon 11.03, I want to set up BIS on the server, I m new for BIS can any body explain to me how this works...?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

There is no app BIS for you to configure your server. BIS is basically a mail client, access to messaging systems connected to the internet. BIS is hosted to carriers and RIM and functions as the interface between the e-mail services and BlackBerry hand-helds. The end user (the person with the BB) configures BIS with all their email credentials... What BIS then uses to check for the "what's new" email servers, then by pulling from the e-mail server, the "what's new" and pushing for the BB.

BIS, Setup instructions can be found here:

  • BlackBerry 10 how to write e-mail in the form of text and NO HTML?

    Hello

    I now use a brand-new Q10 of Blackberry and also a Q5 brand new.

How can I write e-mails as text and not in the html code?

Some of my business partners cannot receive emails from my blackberry because their

usually the firewall blocks the html code.

OK, the only email text is on 10.2.1

    Your response confirms that.

Who is your service provider mobile (you have filled in this part of your profile on the forum here)?

Most have released the 10.2.1 and if yours does not, you can update manually if you want, I can give you instructions for this if necessary.

Go to the Messages app.  Press the menu key, and select Options.  Select General Options.  Scroll up to where it says "Keep Messages" and adjust according to your preferences.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how disconnect from yahoo mail and log back with name yahoo email different?

I can't understand how Yahoo mail log. I have another yahoo email address, I want to add.

    Please notify.

    Thank you!

It's now how it works. each message that arrives in the Inbox on your yahoo account will thus come to BB. Now you can put filters on yahoo sp spam does not affect your Inbox and you can also put filters on the side of BB.

-also, you can turn off the data service on the device, but when you turn it back on all messages that have been held off the coast, because out of data will come to BB.

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones with e-mail sent to Gmail not checked in the Blackberry mailbox

    Hi all

I just got my first Blackberry. I added a box to the letters for my Gmail account on my blackberry, using the options-> e-mail settings. It works great, it checks incoming emails almost instantly. However, I have another email address which will be forwarded to this specific Gmail address and those forwarded emails are not checked on my blackberry (they do not show upward).
I see these emails on the Web from Gmail and Thunderbird page, but not on my Blackberry.

I installed the gmail app, but I really don't want to use it.

Any suggestions of how to make emails transferred to my gmail account appear on my box of blackberry mailbox?

    Thank you!

    Hmmm... very strange indeed...

The filter, btw, being inside the ENCORE... not within GMail... see this KB:

    • KB04558 Add a filter to a BlackBerry Internet Service account

If you start a new message on the account of this source (not striker... a new email) sent to your GMail account, it happens on your BB?

Similarly, if you do a manual on this source accont to GMail, which will happen on the BB?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones move BES Mail to another device

    Hi guys

Im a beginner please take it easy on me and if I left out info to help the problem, please forgive me.

Our MD has a Blackberry smart phone on another network (lets call it Blackberry 8300) we did an upgrade on all new devices and cause is on a new network and the Blackberry "BOLD"

I know that BES does not affect the sim card.  So on the new device, everything works except the mail that is BES not BIS.

Our BES server is in Germany. We are based in South Africa

How can ensure me that mail will go to the new?

I have Desktop Manager v5.0 and in there, there is an option to swap devices.

I did this and coppied all data everywhere everywhere but still no mail.

Please tell me what I need to do to get this working.

It's true. Once you set a password for activation of the account, and the user activates it with the password, all the stuff of BES will move to the other device.

Respect for my friend. You already have this new beauty. Can you please tell me how much you paid for it? Are you satisfied with it?

I don't really think that many members of the forum have this new laptop and you'll be very happy if someone can offer assistance. Have you already checked manuals s users? Maybe you can find explanation how it works with Toshiba small s organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) "display edge."

I know that this small screen displays e-mail and calendar notifications and should be synchronized with your e-mail client. It will continue to be updated when the appliance is in mode 'sleep'

It must be remembered the BlackBerryID password or secret answer to the question. Without either, you're stuck.
    Your choice is:
-Use a different e-mail account to create a new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to all apps purchased using the 'forgotten' first BlackBerryID, or)
-Find the initial email you have been sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID and there are a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on this, delete the account and then you can use that same e-mail to create a new account.
    Good luck.

My carrier is Verizon just in case where what matters.

Should be able to if you go into your profiles on the home screen icon. In the menu that appears scroll down to advanced. Click the profile 'Active'. From there, you can click on the category of Messages to change Holster/In case settings to control how the device will work for incoming emails. You can also change the SMS category to change the incoming text message response.
