BlackBerry Smartphones separating e-mail personal work email

I have 2 personal email accounts and an ACCT of work.  Each staff acct has its own icon on the desktop that I use to view the Inbox for this account, and that shows when I have the new msgs.  I would like to continue this.  But I would like to stop the personal email appear in my list of main message so that only the work email appears.  Is this possible?  I use a BlackBerry 8820.

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

By default, BES email is made only in posts emails BIS icon/App are placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

Your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

Or you can get the application to empower BES Inbox. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server level and affects only a single user.

Neither solution would do anything on Messages - will continue to contain what it contains today. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your home screen that is a filter for your BES emails only. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

Good luck!

Hi Brandon and welcome on the BlackBerry Forums

To create personal mail, you have two chances

1-go to the menu, configure, manage internet e-mail, and you can create the account from there, if for some reason you do not have the mail client staff icon call ATT Center and ask the service books create personal mail.

2 - Connect on the ATT web page with your user and password, go into manage blackberry messaging and you can create the account, after a few seconds, you receive a message with the account.

If you don't have the user account and the password for ATT customer call center and ask

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Hotmail e-mail account does not work on my phone more

Hello.  I have a Curve 8330 on Sprint network.  About a day and a half, I stopped receiving my emails on my phone.  I can't send email either.  SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work very well.  My e-mail account works fine if I connect via the browser.  My wife has the same phone has a hotmail e-mail account and had no problems.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    HIYA!

go here and login (or register if you wish).

Check and see if your e-mail account has a small box beside him. If this is the case, click on the box and the new tenant to revalidate your email, your password.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones separating Enterprise Server Email from other email and messaging accounts

    Hello

My work to put in place my company e-mail email today, and all my emails are placed under the 'catch all' 'messages icon.  So my work email is interdisperesed between my SMS, email from comcast, etc.. I noticed that I can select "View folder" then "inbox" and it gives me my work email inbox, but these are additional steps that I would avoid.  Is it possible to create a separate icon only on behalf of corporate e-mail?  I noticed a software package called empower (http://www.getempower.com/Empower_BES_MailBox.php), but my guy TI said they were not sure about the software.

    Thanks in advance!

    TK

Unfortunately no. You described the problem to the T. The Messages icon is a catch-all. You can separate the other accounts to the different icons, but not the BES account. Empower the mailboxes BES is a good app and works well. But if you use that you can create a custom search that allows access to your BES email just access key.

    1. Open your Messages, view the menu and select Search.
    2. Change the following fields while leaving them nothing not mentioned blank or unchanged default value.
      Service: Office
      Show: received only
    3. Display the menu and select Save.
    4. Choose a title and shortcut key. (I used L for Lotus Notes)
    5. Display the menu and select Save.

Now every time your messages screen, you can press ALT + L (or this that never shortcut key you chose) and you have a picture with only your work showing messages.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 2 e-mail accounts

I have a user who has added a second e-mail account to their Blackberry 8330 Curve. The second account is Verison. His Messages icon will now send both accounts (when she clicks on this icon, it go email from two accounts). Is it possible to have only the email of the main account (work) go to the Messages icon? I try to get only his work email to go to the Messages icon. She created a second icon version and which seems to work very well (that is, it only becomes his Verison email in this icon).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Of course, you can do:

1 get the empower for BES mail inbox (did you not whether he was of BES).

    2. the main Messages folder will continue to receive all emails on the personal account as well. He will ALSO receive a PIN messages and/or browser and wap messages she should get one. So, if you do it in your design and she calls in a week and said "I have this weird notification on my home screen and I don't know what it is" you will know say his eyes go into this folder to hidden main messages.

I use the PIN messages a lot, and I let my diary of the main in the messages folder BlackBerry Messenger conversations, so I keep and hide specific icons by e-mail. They are not necessary.

  • BlackBerry smartphones RECEIVES the MAILS to FOLDERS other than Inbox

    Hello world

I have this problem that I'm trying to work around. On my yahoo mail, I've created rules for certain categories of emails coming. These rules to move messages that meet the criteria for folders that I created.

Now I have yahoo mail configured on my blackbery device but not to receive emails from other folders. All I get is emails that appear in my main Inbox folder.

Through the settings on my phone and can't find an option or a setting that can help me solve this problem.

    Ideas anyone?

    * I'm using BIS service

    Hello

using BIS, it's the processing order:
    1 your Y! mail server receives e-mails
2 your Y! mail server applies the rules
3 your Y! mail server sends messages from the Inbox to your server of BIS
4 your BIS server sends the emails to your BlackBerry smartphone

Therefore, there is no way to do what you want using Yahoo!.

I can suggest you see if it is possible to have the rules applied subsequently (I don't think it's possible with the electronic mail of Yahoo!).

If you want to automatically move messages into folders and have them on your device, you must use an e-mail provider that allows it. To this day, I know Microsoft Exchange can (in a corporate environment) and Google Mail (because the records are considered labels).

  • BROWSER blackBerry smartphones don't DO NOT WORK

This is getting quite frustrating. I get that cannot connect to the server, please try again error and it takes forever to get even the google home page to load. What should I do?

OK thanks... you came very close to what I need... except just saying 'mistake' in regard to music downloads... but, any...

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you need to get in touch with your service provider and insist that they honor the formal support that they are contractually required to provide you with. Do not let you fob before having 100% solved the situation. If they tell you to contact RIM, don't let them not on the hook, then either... insist that they tell you exactly how you should contact RIM. If they say anything OTHER that they will increase you rim (for example, if they tell you to independently seek the support of the RIM), and then accept it. Only through an escalation of your service provider can you receive all official support from RIM.

Looks like they have made significant changes to their network... and they must ensure that their paying customers will continue to receive the services that they pay.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones-box E-mail icon does not appear, but e-mail account is configured in fact

I have a problem with the icon on a Bold 9790 email box. This is the icon of the envelope with the blue turning the planet.

I have two email accounts configured in the Options-> e-mail accounts.

However, only one is displayed on the screen.

Who does not have the envelope-and-planet icon can receive messages in the global Messages menu, but it's confusing, because this mailbox emails mingle with calls, BBM and electronic messages in the Inbox mailbox on the other.

    How can I solve this?

  • Obligation of blackBerry Smartphones recurring e-mail Validate account

I got my Blackberry Curve for a month or two.  During synchronization with e-mail at work, I use our pop server.  Last week, I started to receive emails from Blackberry auto update the password for my account.  When I go to the tool of email accounts. It shows my email to work under an invalid account, with the option 'validate' showing. Once I click on validate, everything goes back to normal.

Any ideas?  This happens several times a day now.

    Thank you

Well, I got the solution to this problem by dealing with a specialist Blackeberry at T-Mobile.  Once you are prompted to change your password, you must do with your phone or via the web.  However, it is half the battle.  Once this is done, you must select "Send Service books", which will send an acknowledgement of your change for you and will update the database provider, the modification is completed.  Without this, the system thinks that you have not completed the change and continue to ask.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get BBM working or the Facebook app

A few months from my blackberry but I still can't work of BBM, I have a contract with 250 MB internet and I can use the normal when browser im out and about. I cannot use the Facebook app when I am connected to WiFi. My BBM says (waiting) when I add a person, and it does not show that I added them on their phone. I'm on Vodafone,

    Thank you

so here is the question... you do not get a password business unless you are on a BES plan, it is for professional use... for personal use, you would use BIS (blackberry internet service)... to do this, you need a data plan activated BIS, chances are, your data plan is not for Blackberry use...
I would give Vodafone a call and check your tariff plan.
Once you have a plan active BIS, will allow you to have another option other than of the company e-mail configuration.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Multiple e-mail icons

When synchronizing this morning, I got the message that he did not have an update.  I downloaded it and it wiped out my custom home screen I've had for almost a year.  Hours later, I recovered and reinstalled a large part of it, but may not know how to recover my multiple e-mail icons.  I had one main Inbox, but I also got icons email separate to the work email, hotmail and yahoo email.  How do I return separate icons, so I can tell at a glance what I give priority?

It's probably something as simple as forwarding of your service books.

Have you entered in the configuration of your e-mail and verified that all e-mail accounts are there?

  • The blackBerry Smartphones "Internet e-mail account" option does not not to the BB Bold 9780

I have a new BB Bold 9780 bought a month back. I package unlimited BIS and should be able to set up 10 e-mail accounts, I think.

The problem I have is with the "Internet mail account" option in the accounts of e-mail in Setup. When I click on this option, nothing happens. The option does not meet my click.

I know I workaround for configuration through some links e-mail account in internet and I have already set up my account gmail via the link. I would, however, have the option to add a new account via my mobile itself.

I suspect that the problem is due to an incorrect update / failure "Email Setup Application". The version I have is 6.10.0804.1543

Is it possible to get this updated program? or to get the option "Internet mail account" working in my BB?

I'm unable to remove the program through the management of applications, as the DELETE option is not present.

    Thanks in advance.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones default e-mail settings

I have the torch with two e-mail accounts.  One is Outlook Express and the other is web messaging software.  Both work very well except during synchronization.  Calendar items on the default value of the torch for the webmail and don't appear on the Outlook calendar syncing.  The opposite is also true (if I make a calendar entry in Outlook, it will not be synchronized in the calendar on the torch.  Contacts seem to find fine regardless of point of entry (office or torch).  Someone knows how to change the default e-mail from one to the other program?

"Outlook Express" is not an e-mail account, it is a visualization software project manager/email information. You must have some account connected to it, where Outlook Express downloads e-mail to your e-mail messaging server, whether it is a private domain email or hotmail, gmail, aol, etc.

Thus, understanding that... You must decide what your "default email" and your "default calendar" on BlackBerry... which of your two email accounts is the default value?

Set this choice options > device > advanced system settings > default Services.
