BlackBerry 8220 Smartphone navigation

I can be a bit stupid, but how to navigate to the "phone app" to customize some features of my 8220. I can get in applications but can't 'Phone' from there. The icons that appear are 'Notepad', 'Task', 'Calculator', etc.

I'm looking in the wrong area?

I don't know exactly what you're asking, but I will attempt an answer. If my answer is not what you are looking for please provide more details so that someone can help you.

Using the menu button and the "back" button, you will have him in and out where all applications are accessible. To change your line House (applications that always appear on the home page), you need to move those you want for the top of the page. Get there by selecting the one you want to move (do not open) not push your menu button and select MOVE. Then scroll down to the new position at the top. Let me know if it helps.  James

  • Technical issue of blackBerry 8220 Smartphone custom ringtone

OK, I'll start by saying thanks to God for this forum, lol... I got my flip for about a week now and have finally understood what I was doing wrong with my ringtones. I had them in the wrong file... Anyway, to my question, when I quand je recois get a call the phone vibrates twice and then the ringtone. Y at - it a way to make it sound only? I didn't need it vibrates the initial 2 times. Thank you!

Profiles > advanced > highlight the profile you want to edit > menu button > edit. Now select the type of event you want to change the sound. Whenever you assign a ringtone to a contact, the phone creates an exception that said the BB if that contact calls use this ringtone instead of the default ringtone.

  • BlackBerry 8220 Blackberry Smartphones help please!

I have a new Blackberry 8220 its open from TMobile and it just turns off by itself.

There the BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.0.278 (Indosat) and before I installed it I deleted the file 'net_rim_tmo_five.cod '. (This is the one I have now, already tried like 4 or 5)

The thing is that, with NO SIM it never restarts, and with the SIM card IT will just crazy.

I tested for more than 5 hours now with no sim card and its balance, with SIM in there just turns off very randomly.

When it stops, no matter what, I have to remove the battery and put it back again, the Red led lights (Just comes on, not flashing), it starts to boot and then when comes to the white screen, it shuts down again unless I connect it to the charger. Sometimes it starts normally, but then again it stops when you use the phone.

I read a lot already about this and tried a lot of things, I don't really know if it's a defective battery or if its hardware. May not be the operating system, many tried and wiped out everything after 3 or 4 guides.

Can someone help me out here?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that, sometimes, not always, it stops even pluged in charger.

If you have tried with all operating systems, it is pretty obvious that it isn't a problem with OS. My guess is that there is a problem of radio which is the cause. It is probably a hardware problem and probably not much you can do about it.

  • Update blackBerry cannot of the Smartphones BlackBerry 8220

    Hello world

I never post a message here because I've always found that a good answers to my questions.

But today, something goes wrong with Blackberry 8220 a colleague.

just for an update, I did:

-installé--8220M_PBr4.6.0_rel318_PL4.1.0.61_A4.6.0.180_Bouygues.exe--(je suis en France) dans le pc, juste avant de cliquer sur terminer, j’ai supprimé le fichier vendor.xml et puis a commencé à Desktop Manager.

-So, when I plug BlackBerry no update is available, even if the currently installed in the BlackBerry version is earlier than the software update.

Why do I need to change the operating system? Because even if I wiped y times and has made the activation of bes over and over again, the BlackBerry still restart all suddenly when you use it, or when I close the flip it ask me the SIMcard PINcode again.

Does anyone has a tip to give me to unraveling me of this blackhole?

    Thanks in advance

  • BlackBerry FLip 8220 Smartphone works with Swedish sim card?

I recentley bought a new unlocked (before T mobile) balckberry flip 8220. He used to recognize my SIM Swedish. The sim card must support edge? Cause my carrier has no edge, just GPRS and 3G.

The 8220 device is unlocked for the other carriers (except Tmobile)?

To determine if your BlackBerry is "unlocked" for use on media other than for which it is the brand:

    1. on your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card.

    2. in this screen type MEPD (see note below) on your keyboard. A new menu will appear.

    * If your BlackBerry has a keyboard SureType (71xx, 81xx devices) you will need to double-click the P, then the actual keys entered become M E P P D.

    3. search for the network in the list.

    4. If your device is "unlocked", we should have disabled or inactive. If it says active, it is still blocked by this carrier.
