My z-30 deletes my e-mail messages after about 3 days. Is there a setting that needs to be changed on my phone?

    Thank you

A couple of things, firstly check your e-mail on your Z30 configuration, there should be a "sync email dethrone x days" setting.

If you do not see this setting, you may need to remove the e-mail account in the Z30, and when you setup, you'll see.

In addition, if you download the e-mail in Outlook on your desktop or home computer, there a parameter "delete messages from the server after downloading" and which may have to be unchecked. When he removes the server, it syncs that remove on your handheld.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not set up email

My buddy gave me his 8100 and I wiped the phone initially, but I still get emails and cannot set up my own. I tried to go into the configuration of messaging as a new user, but he said 'an account already exists for this PIN. So I called AT & T. They said that the original owner had to call. Thus, he called, twice and the first time he has someone who said he had no such thing as a deactivation of the account/pin code, and the second guy it just to wipe the phone, which of course got nothing.

Suggestions of the exact terminology my boyfriend, or I can use with these clowns? Thank you.

He asked probably the correct term.

AT & T must remove the existing PIN their BIS account. They should do immeidately for him, but you could call just ask nicely, that they don't need to do it for you, even if they have been known to.

You may need to explain that you bought the device used and the existing user no longer use, you need to activate the PIN code on YOUR account.

  • Q10 Q10 blackBerry email account settings

I have a Blackberry Q10. I set up my e-mail and it worked very well. Then it reset the incomming & outgoing server with mail.bigpond.com. I rest the parameter twice now and it keeps coming back. I save the changes. What I have to do to stop it reset itself.

Hello and welcome to the community!

From this description, it looks like you all first used the automatic Wizard to set up your e-mail account, and then tried to change what was in this configuration. Instead, you must delete and re-create new the configuration of your e-mail, and if you need to do something different from the automatic assistant would do, use the manual and, although initially, set up the e-mail account, provides all the settings manually.

If you are not sure of what must use settings, you can use the Validation of Email tool to provide you with:

    Hello

I accidentally deleted the Blackberry email setup application in my BB Torch 9800. Therefore, I can't set up email on my BB accounts.

Anyone know how I can reinstall this application so that I can set up my email on my BB accounts?

    Thank you

I don't want to step on the toes of Boomer56, but you have been unanswered for six hours, so I'll take a shot at it.

If you connect your phone to your PC and open the Desktop Manager, you can reload your current operating system from there.  Firstly, open Desktop Manager and do a backup of your phone.  Once it is done, click the device in the upper part of the DM and update the menu drop down.  You could say that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of this box, it will show view other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version is the one that is checked.  Keep it checked, and then click Update.  This is going to re - install your current operating system, as well as all the bells and whistles with which it came.

    Hi Marion,.

The most likely cause is that you have a setting that is configured to do this in your e-mail program or in your online account.  I recommend that to start with your email provider to see if they can help you with this problem (as it's probably something in these settings, or they may be able to find the settings in the program that you are using if it's one they know).  If they can help or saying is not your online account settings, then we need to know the version of Windows you use, e-mail program, (name and version) you are using, or the browser you use to access the account.  With this, we can help you with the problem or refer you to experts that specialize in what you use.

    Thanks and good luck!

If she really didn't know the password of his BlackBerry ID, then, from a computer, visit http://www.blackberry.com/blackberryid , click Reset password. then she got to try one by one with each Email ID, you enter the same password for all. For each incorrect Email she will get a message that " enter a valid BlackBerry ID username". ". And with JUST the right E-mail address or user name and password it will be notified this password reset e-mail has been sent . It will leave him the identification of Email it has established.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones using Blackberry email home address?

Is it possible to set up my Blackberry email address to my home computer?  I use a Mac and use Entourage and cannot quite figure out how to implement.  If I add to my Gmail account and bring it in this way, then it will not split on my Blackberry so I can't do it.  If anyone knows a way I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    Hello!

I'm not sure I quite understand, so let me explain (forgive me if I go too far).

Unless you have your own server, your system accesses your e-mail provider via POP or IMAP... but your home system is simply an e-mail client. Similarly, BIS is an e-mail client that facilitates the communication between your server and your BB email. The Setup instructions to do this are here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10154&SLIC...

Now, if you use this, then you must configure your home email client to leave messages on the server for a certain period of time - so that when the BIS polls for new messages (every 15 minutes), they will be on the server for it to recover and push to your BB.

However, if your question is one of recovery, using your system, your emails that you have set up for a @bb e-mail address, I don't think that there is a way to do... I think that those who are exclusively for your BB itself.

    Hope that helps!
