BlackBerry PIN on a 8700 c Smartphone? Can't at first base with my Blackberry new but old.

I have a prepaid account of Telmex (to Mexico) which I use very rarely. However, the rare cases I have to reply to a text message, I find using a keypad really tedious. I had read that blackberries have a physical keyboard usable, even for people with large hands, so I found on ebay an electron Cingular 8700 c for $30. My problem is that when I put in my SIM Telmex, she asked my password. I tried several times, all failed. It is now a sinister attempt marked 4/6. I bought the phone of a serious ebay seller with a rare 100% positive feedback, and he claimed it was unlocked Cingular, and that's probably true. When I first got my SIM to Telmex and put it in my Nokia 6126, which also is an unlocked phone Cingular, it has not asked for a password and worked from the start.  So, I have the following questions:

Ok. It's easy. Simply type in blackberry and continue. Once you have entered the wrong password, the last time the device will wipe itself of all personal data contained in it and you can start over with a fresh device.

    Let me share my personal experience on the subject. When they are facing the same problem, I asked my provider and they tried to pull a fast explaining that viewing videos on the 3G network is dependent on the device and that it is not possible to videos on my BB "BOLD" due to speed issues.     Both devices have the micro USB port... the 8900 was the first device RIM have the micro-USB port.

    You can even use the Mini-USB Chargers on new devices with a simple Micro-Mini USB adapter.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

    The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

    I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

    I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

    The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

    The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Compression - enabled

    Map of media Support - on

    Mass Storage Mode Support - on

    Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

    I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

    I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

    I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

    I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

    I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

    I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

    I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

    I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

    Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

    You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

    An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

    My company recently moved hosting of emails to a new dedicated server (with Lunarpages - www.lunarpages.com).

    We have normal, ordinary POP3 e-mail accounts that is accessible through any regular desktop mail client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.)

    I put one of these accounts successfully on my Torch 9800 last week and had no problem. Yesterday I deleted this account in order to demonstrate to a co-worker, how to add a new account, and I could not add a new account by using the same parameters since.

    This isn't a problem of carrier or to a particular device (tried on several media and several BB devices, all without success), but it's a specific problem Blackberry. It is limited to my dedicated server as well, not all servers hosted by Lunarpages.

    I know I put the correct settings in the account name, e-mail server, etc, because this worked on my flashlight and the same settings continue to work correctly with other phones and email clients.

    I suspect that there is some kind of disagreement between my server and BIS. Can anyone suggest what the problem could be here still, or even who I should talk to? My service provider is unable to help because it is not specific to them and my Lunarpages server provider is completely baffled. Please, any suggestions are welcome!

    If someone needs to know, http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11036 describes the IP addresses that must be unlocked in order for the BIS interact with a mail server.

    However, DO NOT included on this list has been 74.82.80.0/24, another server RIM, I discovered this morning had been blocked by my server. This list has been updated end of 2011, so I guess they changed things since then. Anyway, once I unlocked which will, everything works now.

    I have setup my Blackberry 9780 (running version 6) to synchronize with my BTYahoo email and contacts with success, but the calendar is not just sync.  There seems to not be any interaction between the Blackberry calendar and BTYahoo.

    My service provider is O2.  O2 support said it is a known problem and I have to rebuild my Blackberry, but I hope for a less dramatic solution and one that seems specific to my problem rather than a generic answer to a problem.

    Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge about it?

    Note that via BIS, calendar wireless is available only for Gmail... not Yahoo. You can check a second time inside the e-mail on the device Configuration Wizard - if you change your Yahoo settings, tic-boxes for the OTA synchronization that is available there. If only the Contacts ICT - box is visible, then calendar is not available for OTA synchronization.

    I have a BlackBerry 8830 and am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize with my laptop. The operating system is Vista Home and I sync with MS Outlook. I was able to sync without problem since getting the phone in the month of April. There are, all of a sudden a few days during synchronization, I get an error message Intellisync error message 'failed to complete request. In chekcing far I determined that everything except the calendar will sync. First of all, I used the original cd to 'fix' the Desktop Manager software. That did not help so I uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Which doesn't work anymore. Read the suggestions on this website I'm stuck when it comes to what to do next.  When I "view log" on the 'configuration' tab, the last two lines are:

    #-734 internal error.

    Cancelled translation.

    I came empty when I typed the internal error number in the search engine.

    I think it has something to do with a recurring appointment.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I would like to try to delete the intellisync folder and then try to synchronize again. This may or may not help. Here are the instructions:

    1. Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
    2. Disconnect the BlackBerry to the computer device.
    3. Double click on my computer > Local drive (C drive > Documents and Settings > (username) > Application Data > Research In Motion > Blackberry > Intellisync)
      • Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools > Folder Options in the upper part of the screen.
      • Click the view tab, and then click Show hidden files and folders.
      • Click apply > Ok and continue with the remaining steps.
    4. All remove in the Intellisync folder.
    5. Start synchronization BlackBerry Desktop Manager and the attempt of the device with the computer.

    Well, I finally got back to normal by removing the BlackBerry Desktop Software updated and re - install version 6.1, which is available on the Web from BlackBerry site.

The problem is that when I open google to search for something sometimes my results are like black or like this->______with a few pieces of the resuklts appear. Even when I click on a results page will appear with some information but then half blacnk. This is the second time that this has happened the first time it happened wasacouple weeks and it was fixed once I turnedit off then turn it back on. Ive fact that now, but there is still no positive result. Please help me!
