  Strangest thing ever... A little background first. I had a VERY hard time getting this computer to perform a recovery to factory settings. After about 11 attempts of switching between active disk ordered from HP and the recovery discs, I've done the computer it FINALLY finished. (All other attempts, I got a message that says the recovery has failed and then had the option of three choices... something like "View Log" "Save Log"and "Try again") What I did that FINALLY let the recovery complete was to press space keyboard whenever the HP splash screen came. Then, the small white circles under the hp logo would begin to move and that she would go to the next part of the installation of the driver/software. Now, however, whenever I restart the computer I have TO press the space bar once or it crashes just on the hp splash screen. I did all THE updates of windows and all the updates via the HP website driver. The only additional software that I installed is Mozilla Firefox. I have reset BIOS default - Secure Boot back on since I had to disable to install with the disks. Little things like time & date are correct. I ran Diagnostics on all the material and it passes.

  Help, please! I have never come across anything like this before and I'm at a loss on how to fix it!

  Thanks for your reply, but I found a resolution. I discovered one of the keys 'f' on the line of the top of my keyboard did not work. Once I changed the keyboard to one another, everything worked as it should. No more hanging on the hp splash screen.

• BlackBerry smartphone screen flashing sometimes - I would return it?

  To turn on my phone AT & T unlocked brand sv-100, purchased at flies every day it flickered back get darker and lighter all the time for the first hours of the couple. The changer of auto brightness was turned off.   Basically what you are experiencing is not a normal behaviour of a private aircraft. This could be a problem with the LCD screen of the unit. Better would it be checked on the store that you bought it.

  The update of the Marshmallow, what I know is that the 6.0 update began with PRIVATE devices purchased directly from the BlackBerry store. You can call AT & T to check updates for your device.

  I want to be sure, I understand. You are able to slide up and reveal the password input box. Is this correct? I had the problem (no passport) where dragging up does nothing. But slide up in your case works, to the point where you can not enter the password characters that require you to use the software keyboard. What is the situation?

  As far as being stick to 6 incorrect entries, it's probably safety device that requires the user to enter the blackberry before the device allows the user to try again the password.

• BlackBerry 10 screen resolution 10.3.1.1565 incorrect defaul with Z10

  Updated my Z10 last night at 10.3.1.1565 with no problems. Now every time I turn on or unlock the screen, the resolutyion 'by default' does not whole screen appears. I have a scan to two fingers together to get the screen to reduce and lock in place. After measuring the front and after it appears that the initial screen is 1.33 oversize. Wise icon we're talking 3 wide icons and 4 icons to the bottom. The time in the top middle screen is about three-quarters through the screen.

  The resolution of the screen seems to be ideal for say, Blackberry passport.

  Surely, it is not a design feature for this version of the software on this phone model?

  Just discovered EHF problem.

  When this software was released the 'construction site' has put focus on IT.

  You will need to go into the settings - accessibility and change the Mode to magnify to OFF.

  Not really impressed Blackberry with a such shift upward in the quality control.  :-(

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.
