BlackBerry smartphone email Settings (existing users) user name?

Hello

I was hoping that someone could tell me if it is possible to remove the user name used to connect to the "Existing users" section during e-mail account set up.  I see onceyou journal user existing can change the password but not the username. My service is through sprint and it is a 8330 Curve.Thank you to anyone who can help or guide me in the right direction.

Call the carrier BIS account is associated to and ask them to 'remove' the account or "disassociate" it your BlackBerry PIN. (Found under Options > status)

Once this is done, you can create your own user name of the unit or you connect on your carrier's BIS website...

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones Email settings

In which menu can I change the setting to automatically download my mail messeges for only when I want to collect them?

Thanks for advice on the subject!

There are solutions that you can do, but none are really convenient. You can go to the connection manager. Resaeau and turn off Mobile Data Services, but would not allow you to access data services. Or you can use the personal Configuration Email icon or email settings to log into your BIS carrier's Web site and change your e-mail accounts to track e-mail on your device. You must then remember to change it to when you are ready to receive emails

  • BlackBerry Smartphone email settings problem

I have 3 addresses on my Torch - a Gmail account that works, a Blackberry that works also, and an email company that used to work. Recently my company changed its web servers, and the new server requires that the username email address complete 'abc@xyz', but I can't put anything other than the 'abc' share is entered automatically during the installation process account and apparently cannot be changed once created.

I even deleted the account and tried it again to create from scratch, but no luck.

Is it possible to change this so that I can get my email working again?

I finally got to the right person at my service provider, and they managed to enter the correct username for me, so my email now works as it should.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to retrieve the user name for the email parameter?

Hi, I need to change my e-mail settings. I tried to do, but he asks my username. I remember my password but not my user name. is there a way you can get it back?

In this case, the person that you talked was misinformed. You have no free method to contact RIM. The full support of the RIM starts with the carriers. If they can't solve it, they are supposed to degenerate into RIM. But you can't go around them and get rim directly. So, call them climbing back and demand.

    Good luck!

  • Problems installing blackBerry Smartphone email

Hiya. So I got my e-mail which is totally fine, for the past 2 years.

Then yesterday, I don't have any, just about everything. And I didn't think anything of it, because it was the day, and sometimes the emails can be slow to come through.

Towards evening, nothing yet, so I'll send an email but it tells me that I have not configured and sent me the e-mail Setup Wizard thing.

Now, here's where I hit a pickle. He takes me through and gets to the screen where it says 'existing users if you want to access your e-mail settings, or change your device, connect.

I put in my username & password (which I assume is my BB ID?) and a message appears saying "empty user name, type a valid user name."

So is - can anyone help me and tell me why it is said that? Or what I am doing wrong. Because my user name & password are certainly right, as I can log in my ID BB on my lappy, but it is perplexed as to why my BB has stopped my emails in the first place...

I don't know why your email would suddenly stop working, but your cellular operator must have a site of BIS self-service where you can add, delete and modify all accounts e-mail on your BlackBerry phone.

If you can't get the work e-mail Setup Wizard, call Optus to access the self-service BIS site.

  • Torch 9800 blackBerry Smartphone email not showing problem!

    Hello world

I got my BB Torch 9800 for a few months. Already used to work properly, all my emails used appears in the messages folder. But these days, when I get emails my bb flashes red and it shows on the top of screen email icon. But when I open my messages folder shows an empty without any email folder, even though I can see the icon of e-mail showing pending emails there. I'm aware of this option which, if I press menu bb and then tap show all, my e-mail address with my name will appear. This way I can display the e-mails received. But I don't want to use this option, because I prefer all my emails go to the messages folder, that way I can have more space to download other applications. Please help and any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Note: if I recharge my camera all e-mails shows up in the messages folder. I don't want to reboot my device whenever I face this prblem.

Is my QUESTION HARD to ANSWER? No one's taken the trouble to give me an answer, why?

  • Setup of blackBerry Smartphone email and BBM number on 9780

    Hi all

Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

    For bbm:

I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

Please help, I don't want to empty this phone!

  • Problem Set - up blackBerry Smartphones Email

    Hey guys,.

I'm having a problem setting up my accounts e-mail and access to internet on my 8830 Verizon Wireless.  Sorry I'm kinda a n00b this is my first blackberry.  Thus, everytime I try to put something it says I have to create a blackberry account which is fine and dandy, but it won't let me because it says that my PIN is already activated, now I buy this phone.  How can I do accept my new account and letme registry?

I will also upgrade the operating system on it (even if my thinkpad comes to die what numbers) which version of desktop software works best?

Good so I called Verizon and they were confused at first but after being on the phone for a while with a very useful technology, they understood him out and set up my email for me.  It turns out that I have to use the user name that is already registered on the phone, so the guy that I bought username.  They wiped out its old email (I hope, you just don't lose all your emails wherever you are) accounts and set mine to and let me change the password.  Everything works now, just waiting to get my thinkpad broke stupid of the STI in order to update and sync with my outlook calendar.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email messages

I have 2 email addresses that I use on my Blackberry "BOLD". Both used to work properly. The gmail address still works.

Recently, I had problems with my business e-mail on my company domain. He received e-mails on my Blackberry, but then they disappeared as soon as I read them, with the exception of a few junk emails. Recently, we moved the enamel of Vodafone Turkey to Microsoft Exchange Office 365. I have reset the details by e-mail, and I received an email on my Blackberry of 'Activation Service' confirming that the new email has been implemented. Since then, I received 1 test email that I sent myself but then it disappeared, and 1 other junk e-mail that remained. But I have not received other e-mails on that account to my Blackberry, while several came through my Outlook Express mailbox on my computer.

My gmail account continues to work ok on my Blackberry. My co-workers who also have email on the same domain name addresses have no problem on their smartphones.

    Can anyone advice problem?

    Thank you

Right. If you have canceled the activation, deleted all the activation e-mail, rebooted the phone and tried to add the email again? Before you enable exit closed outlook.

  • Frustrations of blackBerry Smartphones Email configuration

I'm trying to get my email to work on my Storm but I'm sure that something's wrong.  My work email is just a type ([email protected]) through our Web site hosted by bluehost.  I entered everything, email, server, password and user name is just like his statements by Bluehost but my BB still cannot recognize it.  What I am doing wrong?  Any suggestions are welcome.  Thanks in advance.

    Tim

I think I found it! Too bad!!!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Email receipts

I have a BB 8830, my frustration is that when I send an email from my BB or my account gmail online I always receive an email from myself of what I just sent.  How can I stop it?

    Cause of the problem

Webmail Gmail accounts were not separate sent items and Inbox folders. The web page of Gmail account contains a Messages link on the left side, but is not a folder separate from the Inbox. Webmail gmail messages are grouped into conversations, which leads to all messages sent and responses of others appearing as an entry of a single e-mail message in the Inbox. This allows to easily read and look on the web page of Gmail, but, when it is integrated with the BlackBerry Internet Service account, results in copies of sent e-mails on the BlackBerry smartphone as new e-mail messages.

    Resolution

To prevent messages sent back to the BlackBerry smartphone each time, create a filter in the BlackBerry Internet Service account to block sending these messages to the BlackBerry smartphone.

To create a filter, follow these steps:

    1. Connect to the BlackBerry Internet Service account. For instructions on how to connect to the BlackBerry Internet Service account, see KB03781.
    2. Click the icon of filters next to the built-in Gmail account.
    3. To create a new filter, click Add a filter .
    4. Configure the filter to ensure that messages are not sent to the BlackBerry smartphone if the message coming from the integration of webmail Gmail account:
    • Type a name for the filter in the filter name field. For example, my messages to email Gmail.
    • Assign to the field filter to apply when 'FROM' field.
    • In the contains field, type the address of the Gmail webmail. For example, @gmail.com >.
    • Select the next radio button of do not forward messages to unit.
    • Click on add filter.

Note: After you create this filter, e-mail messages will not be received on the smartphone BlackBerry if sent to the Gmail webmail account.
