BlackBerry Smartphones 9790 My calendar information is missing

I sync my blackberry with my calendar outlook (gmail account) and I noticed yesterday that everything had disappeared from the blackberry calendar.  I tried to re-synchronization (from the computer to the device) and it seems to work but nothing is actually moved on the calendar.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found a solution, it is not the most creative, but seems to have worked.  I uninstalled the Blackberry Desktop Software, rebooted the computer, reinstalled the Desktop software and calendar sync worked.   Would be good to know why this happened in the first place, but I'm quite happy to have my schedule back.

Bug: 9790: Wikitude does not and can not be upgraded

Priority: Low (assuming that no one will use Wikitude now anyway)

    Severity: low

Note: I understand that this is not an application of RIM, but it is an application preinstalled in BlackBerry Bold 9790, so please take care of this. I tried to document the issue as much as possible.

I can not re - test, simply because I don't know how to install the old version. So, these are the steps that I went to join bugs:

    (1) have a 9790 Bold with the BlackBerry OS 7.0 as it was officially sold

    (2) Upgrade Bundle 2466 (7.0.0.609 Platform 9.16.0.77)

    (3) fully upgrade all official software from RIM AppWorld (Protect, Facebook, etc)

    (4) to set the phone to use location services

    11) click on the OK"" button.

You can observe: the window is closed and "Wikitude" application is not installed.

Thank you! Problem solved. Here's what I did:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I restore information saved to my Curve 8320 to Bold 9650?

I just got my phone 2 hours ago. I'm waiting for the new carrier make changes to transfer my current number to the new. My old phone died and I back to the top of files stored on my work computer. I am able to reset the calendar information, secure password, tasks and notes to the "BOLD" with no problems?

I restored back up the file in Desktop Manager. He loaded all my contacts, passwords, tasks, notes and many other things. Because the file was 5 months old, I know that there are a few new contacts, passwords and calendar enteries on the old phone. I hope to be able to make a backup of all data, unless you are suggesting that I only choose those I'm really looking for.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones default BB calendar

OK, so I figured out how to delete my additional calendars and proceed to their removal. My calendar by default but is still there which, I guess this is supposed to be. I was hoping that wipe all the entries in the calendar and everything again. The main problem I have at the moment is that all inputs are doubled. For example:

    * Bob Smiths Birtdhay

    * Bob Smiths anniversary

For the holidays, it shows only once

    * Columbus Day

So that means the calendar is always find info from 2 sources? How does it work? How can I stop it from happening.

What I'm essentially looking to do is set up a calendar for bot online, my wife and me to synchronize so that we both get updates that are added in line or on the phone. We are currently trying to get Google Calendar for this. Is there a best calendar out there that will provide the same synchronization capabilities?

    Thanks in advance

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.
    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.
    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. The left pane, it is what will be saved from your device, and the right is a list of the existing databases.
4 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.
    5. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).
    6. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones installation Internet email icon is missing from my 8310

Installation Internet E-mail is missing from my 8310

    I wouldn't need BIS right >?

~ ~ ~ my phone is a piece of shit and I had it replaced, I had to use an old backup of the Desktop Manager, and now I have 3 different e-mail accounts, send a habit, one old emails from March ' 09, and the other he's there looking stupid... so what I would do is remove my email (yahoo), then add it back, but in general the icon I want is missing

Please help, looks like phone support for RIM's day

Soory so seem to be a noob, but I've looked everywhere

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

BIS and the icon you're looking for are the same thing - BIS is the service offered by your operator, which allows driving between your email accounts (Yahoo, GMail, etc.) and your BB. The icon you're looking for is the interface to the level of the device to BIS. There are other interfaces as well, for example from a web browser for PC:

    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F

See this demo for device-specific information on access to the configuration application and configuring e-mail BIS:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/blackberry101/Setup.jsp#tab_tab_email

Now, what you may also face lies in the fact that you have changed the devices... each BB has a unique PIN, that is bound BIS account to your carrier. If they don't move your old BB to the new, then this might explain things... you can contact your operator for assistance with your BIS account - they (no RIM) control this account and the service.

Hope that helps... give a little of this a try and let us know now.

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones: vs email calendar default device

I'm new to the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I use Microsoft Outlook for my calendar. I have an email address to which I've implemented on the Blackberry. However, this email address doesn't have a calendar that are associated with (and I don't want it...). The calendar application has therefore all appointments under "Default device".

On the home screen, it shows not all appointments at all. However, when I go in the calendar app it shows all my appointments. I've selected the menu button, choose 'Select Calendar' and then choose "Default device" because the calendar is not associated with the email address.

When I go back to the home screen it still has nothing set appointments. I assume he's still associate the calendar with the email address. I do know that not everyone uses the calendar provided with e-mail addresses, right?

Also, when in the application calendar, after selecting "Default device", if I try to add an appointment he will add it to the calendar with the email address and not the "default device" calendar that I use with Outlook. If I need to open another post on this topic please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK, here's what you need to do...

    1. download ALL your calendar in Outlook information. Make sure your correct calendar.

    2. then, basically, you will remove ALL your calendar on the BlackBerry information according to the instructions I'll post below.

    3. then, you set the address you want to see your calendar 'default' by the statement in the post above.

Then, everything should be good. I have been facing the problem while you are now and had to do all this as well. Painless.

(ignore the words 'AddressBook' in these instructions for you, but it all works the same).

Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones several shared calendars and Contacts in double sync for 2 or more e-mail accounts

    HI -.

Still in the period of grace, then trying to decide if I was right to go to BB Android.

#1-calendriers - I have two calendars associated with 2 e-mail accounts I put it in the phone and allows to synchronize calendars BIS.  Like the sync wirelessly with both calendars.  However, during my days of Android, I was able to synchronize several shared calendars (that is to say, family calendar, calendar, calendars of the youth sports teams, etc.).  Problem is that if I want to synchronize my shared calendars then the only way is to get them to use Google Sync - but only as 'read only' for all but the main calendar.  Can I bring in shared calendars using BIS in which allows me to make changes to the calendars?  I guess that the calendars I ' own ' I can associate with a gmail account and then synchronize this new account gmail with BIS-, but which appears as a workaround and not a solution...

#2-contacts - since I synchronize contacts from two e-mail accounts, it will bring all the contacts of these two accounts.  It does not appear there is a feature to link a contact who could be in both lists of contacts from email account?  In other words, my wife is in my work email contacts list and my list of contacts of personal e-mail - so in the BB, I have two wives (oh * beep * and I'm from Utah!)  Is there a solution?

#3-email happens to BB super fast (love that!) - so when I delete an e-mail from the BB it emerges from my IMAP service that speaks to my laptop fast enough.  The question is when I delete e-mails from the laptop and then it seems to take forever because the message is marked as read deleted.  Is this normal?

. are #4-there additional updates planned for the browser?  Or a third party that you would recommend.  I was hoping OS 6 improvements would make the web browser close browser Android - but not so much anymore - my memories of my old BB seems to be somewhat similar (that is to say, probably will not use all that often...).  Well, that's a business phone...

    Thanks for the replies!

    Jim

    Newbie... hoping to be veteran...

    Update *.

So the answer on the forum was so amazing I had to weed out the useful responses from those who were not so helpful... j/k

So I'm finally in contact with a technical support person (old-fashioned of anyone who speaks English as much as support-).  Technical support is very helpful - but the final answer is that BIS cannot synchronize with a shared calendar.  If I want to sync shared calendar, so I have to use Google Sync - but that runs the risk of all my appointments being pushed in my calendar by default - and I can't update my calendar (s) shared my BB unless you use Google web interface with the shared calendar.  So sounds like shared calendar is not necessarily a strong suite for BlackBerry...

Second - the duplicate contacts - this is another thing that I just need to choose to show only an email contacts from the account and put my "allow duplicates" to yes if I want to be able to update the contact information for this contact.  Such a disappointment, but hmm...

While speaking with support technical so I asked if the two questions above have been on the 'doing' list for our next update.  The answer I got was "I don't know" - the techie even put me to keep for a while so he could ask some of his mates if they had heard what that either, but they didn't.  A useful 'I don't know', but still a "I don't know."

Third - emails takes awhile to reconcile on the phone when they were checked on the computer (that is to say, appear as read or class).  I was told at the Sprint store that it is just a setting.  I tried to adjust my options of 'Approximation' with two email accounts, but I have always the same question.  Maybe there's hope yet for this topic?

Fourth - web browser - I think I just need to not think about a BlackBerry as a machine of websurfing.  Last night I tried to browse the web at a site and it took me forever!  I think it's high on BlackBerry ' to do' list while OS 6.0 was supposed to revolutionize our web experience.  Oh how I envy for my touchscreen when you surf...

So, now to decide if I keep the Style of back flip BB more in the Android world - the good side of things, my battery life was impressive compared to my Android phone!  I even kept Pandora for a whole day and my battery was still fresh at the end of the day.  Perhaps some of the reason for the battery life is I don't jump on Wiki or search Google to understand the answer to your questions because I knew that the experience would be too painful, waiting for my BB browser, but still... a phone available for making/receiving calls throughout the DAY! Something that I have not had since I'm on BB some time ago...

    Thank you-

    Jim

  • BlackBerry smartphones! SLOW CALENDAR ON 8530 AFTER UPDATE TO 5.0.0.734!

    Hi all

I was looking through this forum, and I have not met anyone mention anything to this topic, so I hope I do just something wrong...

I've recently updated OS from my Berry to 5.0.0.734, and since I did it, my calendar is simply unusable. When I click on the icon to enter the calendar, it crashes just for about 10 to 20 seconds (depending on which is open) and won't let me do anything, even go out... Total crash... and then once he enter the calendar, it crashes again before it allows me to scroll to enter an appointment. In total, he is probably going to take me 20 to 30 seconds to get to the point where I can start typing the actual appointment details.

What have I done? Is there a cure? What I do back? I never had to push back a Berry before, it's that something simple? Really sucks!

PIN please me or just add me to BB Messenger - PIN: XXXXXXXX

    Help, please!

    Thanks for your time...

EDIT: Personal information removed - information such as personnel of pines, IMEIs, e-mails & phone numbers are prohibited for safety reasons.

    Curve 8530

    Problem solved...

I was in the previous version of the BlackBerry operating system (OS: 5.0.0.508) and all my pains have disappeared. I just couldn' is to live without a responsive phone...

For some reason, the recent software update failed miserably, or is miserable to start. I recommend to keep 5.0.0.508 and won't 5.0.0.734.

In any case, I was able to restore my recurrances endless in my calendar and it's as soon as I click on the calendar on the homescreen application icon.

Bifocals, I really appreciate the time you took, but two days was long enough for me without a decent phone... now I am a proud and happy owner of BlackBerry Curve again.

I hope that we can discuss again on the road... just not on the calendars being slow... hehehe.

    Sincerely,

    ~ Tom

  • BlackBerry Smartphones using the calendar/Agenda when you don't have a data plan.

Hi all, I just got a BB Curve 9320 model to replace my LG dead.  I use the phone for my convenience only but I fondly I remember my old Palm Pilot and it's wonderful calendar application that allows me to keep track of my life and where I was supposed to be and when.  I had hoped that the curve would be able to do the same thing with its calendar function.  I thought that using the BB desktop and connect my laptop to enable them to communicate that I would have the same function, like the Palm Pilot has made in my previous life of the curve.  Unfortunately, I have not been able to get it to operate than I had imagined... I do something bad or without the data plan is - it simply not possible?

Hello and welcome to the community!

What is wrong is your waiting... what you expect is not a feature designed... a few things to discuss... so bear with me...

Unlike other how things, RIM does not provide a desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

So, to do what you want requires the use of a desktop PIM for your data... Choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then, enter your data in the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:

    Hello WVTinyTim,

Remove your Facebook app in Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

Reinstall it from www.blackberry.com/facebook and when running through the Facebook set up the wizard, see if you are now able to connect to your calendar.
