  The following procedure deletes all data, or all data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone. Back up the data before you perform the procedure. For instructions, see KB12487.

  1. connect the BlackBerry smartphone to PC computer.
  2. open start-> programs-> Accessories-> command prompt.
  3. navigate to C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\Apploader.
  4. type loader.exe /resettofactory.

  I can't tell you how you got in this situation, but what you describe resembles a restriction of the COMPUTING policy... Please check here:

  If there is a COMPUTING strategy and you are on corporate/BES, then you have to go talk to your BES admins... they are in control.

  If you have a COMPUTER policy but are not in BES, then you will need to make fairly drastic measures to clean it... and you don't need your original discs... just a PC and access internet.

If you use a CMD (DOS) window, try selecting it from the menu (it should be inside the accessories), but instead of normal click, right click, and select 'run as administrator '. If you do not run as administrator available, then your user account on your computer has insufficient rights even do this... need you an account on your computer with adequate rights.

  I have deliberately entered a wrong password, who brought a message asking me if I forgot and click on forgotten password link.   I just activated my storm last Thursday, and Yes this is my first BB. I went to put in place to transfer my emails from my Yahoo account, but I'm not able to do. I goto the program installation and Setup, there are three options, "configuration wizard configure Bluetooth and e-mail settings. If I take either Assistant configuration or e-mail settings, I get the same result. She asked, "if I was not to create or add an email address or if I want to use an e-mail account to work with a BB Enterprise Server". I choose the first and then click Next. The next screen says: "after you click Next, the setup of the Internet Service of BB application opens. "After completing the implementation you e-mail, press the Menu key and click Close. I then click Next and says "Connecting to the e-mail settings" with the little clock and then comes up saying "your account has been suspended. Please contact your system administrator.

  You must call your operator to support... it's your account (not the company BES) BIS and in some sort it has locked on their end. Same thing happened to me and I called my operator (ASBL), and they had it fixed immediately.

  Subsequently, you will find may be easier to use the web interface of a PC BIS to configure your email address. To do this, the email to the same address settings Wizard on the storm, but create an ID and password of the account (NOT an email @BB account). Next, you will use the following to find your carriers BIS website:

  Your understanding is incorrect. The password keeper function, it's that you don't have to keep those numbers and the password stored in an application that is not secure on your BB. You can store everything that you desire, even such as your number of credit card and other information related non - BB you want to be firmly maintained.

  Recently, I received my Verizon Storm (9530) and after a few questions on their side Server with activation, everything worked perfectly.  Monday, my wife called me in the afternoon and everything was fine.  That night she called me and the unknown number came.  Each call will now appear under the unknown number.  When I shout at her phone it shows up as Restricted, yet I don't have one of these security options enabled, now I use the number restriction (* anything).

  I searched the forums here and tried everything I found listed. including of OS.151, which made it worse and then the phone does not charge when it is plugged.  I have seince downgraded to OS.148 and everything else on the phone works perfeclty, except list calling you.

  A theme and an operating system are completely different things.

  For the operating system, the easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

  6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

  • Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC.

  If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

  If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  My BB is a little more than 1 year and worked perfectly. All of a sudden there's a week my email and messenger has stopped working. I am connected to my wifi at home and use data of O2 in the case plan.

  I did a battery without effect pull.

  I rang O2 helplne twice and they talked me through various operations, but could not solve the problem. Finally, they said that as it was purchased in London (it was a gift, but I have received), I needed to return to the store as it was a problem of BB. Not so easy that I live in the western part of the Ireland.

  If I go to the e-mail settings , it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server.

  In Status of the Service - it is said BB Internet Service connection: not connected

  Connection to the BB Enterprise Server: not connected

  Text messaging works very well. Browser works well too and of course I can access my email from here but it is the major concern.
