BlackBerry Smartphones At & t keeps adding plan data I want

Can someone please give me a step by step to configure my 8900 so at & t do not know I have it.

AT & T has policies for devices on their network.

It's their network, they can control which devices are put on it and what rate plans must have devices.

BlackBerry uses data, it's just a fact of life.

No doubt, you can try on the device > manage connection > Mobile Network Options > Data Services and which turned off. I still think that ATT will detect the BlackBerry on the network and add the plan.

  • BlackBerry smartphone accessing password Keeper data using office software

I recently had a pressure of crack in the LCD screen on my Curve 8310.

I need to access my passwords stored in password keeper, however given that the LCD is toast, impossible to read anything on the phone.

I'm waiting on a replacement LCD screen, but need to pass, as soon as POSSIBLE.

Are there programs to display the program on the pc?

I tried a solution that actuall work, so I thought I'd post in case anyone else has this same problem.

I had previously saved data for my Blackberry Curve 8310 using the office management software.

I downloaded a Simulatr for my Curve 8310 and installed the software.  I found the Simulator to the BlackBerry Smartphone simulators - URL

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/resources/simulators.jsp

Once the program was installed, I ran the program, which shows a picture of the phone.

I started my office management software.

Now to back in the Smartphone Simulator

In the menu, I selected 'USB cable connected' which simulates the connection of the smartphone.

Once I did this, the office management software prompted me to create settings then phone again.

Once I implemented this new virtual phone, I restored my backup from the virtual desktop management software to the new.

I could then use the mouse to go to the password manager and open the program.  It prompted me for my password and all data appeared.

Hope this helps someone else.  Good luck.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  • Upgrade to blackBerry Smartphones to v5.0 added a 'default', but with all my data in calendar

BlackBerry Curve 8900.  Despite the backup in advance the 5.0 installation always messed up my SETTINGS and programs as in the past.  This time, I find a new calendar called by default instead of using the existing calendar based on the name of my e-mail account that I sync with my iMac.  Now all my appointments have been made and nothing in my own email.  I have appointed my old calendar by default, but which seemed to have made no difference.  I'm never, ever going to level again.  It screws up everything and backup (I do it on a PC) does not completely protect my existing configuration.  I wish that RIM could not understand how to upgrade an operating system while leaving your settings and software only.  Other systems seem to be able to do.  Really, I prefer to use my smart phone more to settle.  I hate to be grumpy, but he has so much time.

Can I do all this to get the appointment to which they belong?  Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but I found the solution I need.  I did a different search that has sent me to a document that told me how to merge calendars.  you open the calendar go to the menu > options' when it opens type 'MOVE' (IMPORTANT because it threw me for a while, there is no window for typing, just type). a menu then asks if you want to merge all of the calendars that works then.

I must say that the book is full of (incomprehensible to me) reasons, why the upgrade mess with your setup in the first place.  I have an ipod touch and upgrades are seamless.

  • BlackBerry smartphones none given don't Plan - connected to wifi but not Internet access?

    Hi all!

I am a new Blackberry owner.  I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, and I use AT & T.  I don't have a data plan, so I chose this phone so I can use the internet in Wi - Fi areas.  I am currently in a WiFi area, and my phone says I'm connected.  However, when I try to open the web browser, it says "cannot connect to the Internet, please try again later."  Is it a common problem with a quick fix?  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thank you!

I did it because I thought that if data services have been activated, then I would be charged for them.  The phone knows use wi - fi when I'm connected to a wi - fi network and I do not load unless I have access to the web in 3G?

With OS6, you cannot set the browser to be just a HotSpot browser. You can do within OS5.

Well, IF you are connected to a WiFi hotspot, your device will use the browser and that's it, not much else. Some applications like Opera Mini and Pandora radio will work on a single WiFi.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messanger keep ending conversations!

Today my messanger BB keeps ending conversations and I think Miss me people send me messages.  Yesterday, I received a message asking if I wanted to clean up old messages to free up space.   My phone does this automatically now to make the space?

not sure why my messanger ends my conversations.

    Help!

Yes, it seems you don't have enough 'free file' on your internal memory, so the storm decides to delete things without asking you.

    first thing:

I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.

    Soft reboot:
    1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
    -Alt
    -Left shift
    -Remove
    (2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

    Hard reboot:
    (1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
    (2) remove the battery and wait a minute
    (3) replace the battery
    (4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

    then:

Home screen > options > status
    How much "free file"?

  • BIS blackBerry Smartphones has blocked my PIN - no data through the

I was with AT & T tent technical support to solve this problem last night.  It became impossible for the BIS-B to send all the data on my device.  I have already completely wiped out my "BOLD" with a reset, re-entered the unit, tried to return the service directories and had even AT & T erase and rebuild my BIS account.

Symptoms: When I try to send it to my email service BIS service books, they never come out.

Always mobile network diagnostics fail the test of PIN - PIN

Mobile Internet browsing works, but any application that uses BIS-B to transfer data never gets it.  My twitter app gives me a "network error", my weather app says 'update error' and google maps is constantly trying to load maps without success.

This happened all of a sudden yesterday.  It seems that the BIS has just completely shunned my device.  I plan to go into a store warranty AT & T later today to share devices and rebuild my account and data with a new PIN.

OK, the AT & T rep "I removed from the blackberry network" and I reconnected.  This seems to have solved the problem.  I get sent again, I received the service books I sent earlier and diagnosis shows a 'yes' next to PIN - PIN.

Looks like I'm back in business.  Thanks for the help!

  • My understanding blackBerry smartphones all password keeper is for

is the guardian of password for the ppl who uses the net to enter their websites faster and easier because some of the Web sites you need passwords for?

then, really, that I don't understand what is the guardian of password to use! I read some ppl Announces...

    PS I'm blonde lol lol

    Thank you!

Your understanding is incorrect. The password keeper function, it's that you don't have to keep those numbers and the password stored in an application that is not secure on your BB. You can store everything that you desire, even such as your number of credit card and other information related non - BB you want to be firmly maintained.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can't keep not fresh and other problems...

    Hello

I'm having some trouble with my berry.

First, it will not keep its charge.  The battery lasts only 8 hours or more.

Second, I can send and receive texts.  Apparently, my ankles have been sent, but I don't much get pins, e-mails, facebook things back.  I received responses from the pins that noon last night, I sent.

This morning there was an animated hourglass in the center of my screen every 10 seconds.  It would be flash and disappear.  I pulled out the battery because this is the usual solution for everything, but the empty battery pins just faster and still no reception.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It does not mean you have too many applications installed, you can just have too open. You know when your using your PC and you have multiple windows open but you reduce them just so you can go back and fourth? It's a bit like that. Tell I open "notes." Then, I hit the Red hang up button to return to the home screen. I have to open "tasks". 'Notes' is always in the back. It is of course more crucial when you leave something open your browser that will constantly call data. To close properly the somerhing click on the menu button and select close or exit. To see what is open hold down the ALT key and press on and release the previous button. You cannot close the House, browser, messages, PTT, BBmessenger or by phone. Although I don't know if that alone caused your problem, but I'm glad that you guessed it work.

  • Erase data blackBerry Smartphones BB9900 problem is, the restored data to office, work - can receive e-mails, do not send

Had problems after synchronization and backup, 9900 wouldn't restart, was able to complete wipe through restorative local mobile (Brisbane, Australia).

restore all data desktop, everything works, receive/send txt, phone.

receive emails, can not answer or create new messages.

Message: 'no message service set up, you will be directed to the configuration wizard to configure an e-mail account. fact that then 'check updates'

then ask name Blackberry user Id (email address) I entered

then Blckberry ID password I grabbed what I thought was correct.

I used the same password I use for the BB9900, but is not accepted, and continues to ask for ID and password, I saw that if the BB has been "erased" which a new ID? Password must be registered. Tried to register again, would not.

I stil have a Torch 9800, I used as a phone, which still works without problem ID/password for backup.

What can I do with the Bold 9900 so he could leave e-mail send/reply.

If by that, you mean your device lock password, these powers are separated. ID of BB is the way that you associate your BB to BB - VRD and contains accreditation is very clean, which are separate from your password locking device, your credentials from the account of electronic mail and all other things.

It seems that you do not know your credentials BBID, forcing you to reset the password:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question

Note carefully that the reset password email is not, for reasons of security, delivered to your BB... so you will need to access non - BB to the e-mail account associated with your BB ID.

  • Server error blackBerry Smartphones with a total loss of data

January 1, my torch met a server error.  I bring periodically and do not think that writing the code, I remember there was a.  The phone has not answered a few attempts to restart, then I put down and returned to it in ten minutes.  The phone has restarted and now displays "Please register your blackberry" or something like that.  Obviously, a bad sign!

I lost all data and settings.  I didn't know what a big deal, he would be seen has just adopted this smart phone a few months ago.  It seems that all is lost and there is no way to recover whatever it is, I never made a backup.  I had been deceived into believing that AT & T or RIM could restore the data for me!  Laughing out loud.  For later use, it looks to downloaded the Destop Manager and make regular backups will solve the problem.

Is it possible to recover all (or part?) the data and settings, I've lost?  And does anyone have any experience with server errors that totally erase your torch?  I'm a little worried about maintaining the integrity of the phone!  Thanks in advance for any help.

For some reason, your phonetic search phone wiped itself.  With no backup in place, data are missing.  You're right, however, the Office Manager is a good idea to make backups.  You can also load a blackberry protect on the device, so you can have a backup online as well.  It works behind the scenes and live which is useful.  Check

  • BlackBerry smartphones disappear when the icons/folders/data of low power - how to recover?

I bought a "BOLD" 6 days - my first smartphone - there to replace a 4 year old Nokia.

The installer went well and I associated with several e-mail accounts in the phone.  All the seemend very well until this afternoon when the battery power has fallen sharply, low power icon came and then the screen went white and locked upward.  The phone was on but just sitting on my desk, when he does this.  The phone wouldn't stop or anything once the screen went white.  I plugged in the charger and it is now loaded.

However, many of the icons on the home page and expanded home page disappeared - messages, all messaging files, browser, call log, etc.  I can't find them anywhere.  In addition, all the e-mail settings for the 4 accounts that have been implemented have disappeared as are all of the messages that had been saved.

Backups of the messages so I am not concerned to retrieve their content in the phone itself.  However, how can I get the icons back so that I can access the features of the phone?  This is a common occurrence when the battery is low?  Everything seems to happen 40% white screen in 3 hours during which the phone was not on active service in terms of excessive electricity consumption.

I can't find anything to help in the guide of the user or the site.  Thanks for your comments.
