BlackBerry Smartphones backlight timeout and Eve do not work

I just got the new software on my BB Curve 8330 and now the backlight is always on. When I put the time-out of the backlight for 10 seconds, the backlight turns off every ten seconds or more, but turns back on right away. Also, when I put my phone in standby mode, the screen goes black, but only for about 5 seconds, then my phone wakes from sleep. Help, please!

It is 4.5.0.169 I just did a right battery pull well and it seems to work fine now. Thanks for the reply to my post.

    If your device is non - BB, then substitute in the KB, the instructions appropriate for your device. Unless you're on BB OS 6 or 7, do not skip the step of "Receive using BlueTooth" on the receiver BB... nothing will transfer if you do.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Chrysler U-Connect - lately will not work w / 9630

    I have a Jeep with U-Connect 2006.  I got the 9630 since last fall, and it worked perfectly with the U-Connect.

    In the last few weeks I started getting a message 'Phone' on the stereo display, and it stays there, inhibition of the stereo system, until I turn off bluetooth 9630's.

    I tried to purge and then re - bind the 9630 with the U-Connect system, but no change.

    As an experiment, I took out my previous Moto Razr, and it syncs well with the U-Connect.

    It seems to me it's a matter of Blackberry, because the U-Connect worked with her fine before, and the Razr is now... If the 9630 is not listed as supported a phone on the site of Chrysler.

    Nobody knows anything about this problem or have any ideas?

    I have the 8310 and I downloaded the aim program for the main page of bb on my phone and instaled it but when I try to connect it sayes (service not enabled for this handheld) I called tmobile tech suport and they daissa a lot has not the stuth bacise and could not work anny we know how to solve this?

    You can't 'fix' it. It is a problem of carrier/RIM/AIM, and until they all have a deal together it will not work. All you can really do is wait or try another application of third party as webmessenger. I'm sorry.

    OK - try this process...

    (1) remove, on the BB AppWorld - if she invites you for a reboot, let him

    I'm new to the boards, so please bear with me as I just read and hoping to learn the * rules *! I have a curve BB8310 and this morning I had to have ATT restore it to factory after that something was wrong with the DeviceManager. To make a long story short, I'm all good now (i.e.. The right DM, I had the wrong version ) and I got my backup phone like I do every week. So I restored everything and first of all, I can't find my * note * icon anywhere and I use it all the time for lists and these, second I have this blue oval icon where I get notifications of text / email, which has something in it that looks like a snowflake! This icon could result to have my email and notifications of texts put to separate? Can someone tell me what it is and where I could find my Memo icon? I looked in every folder I have (or at least I think I have) as my stuff, settings, options, etc and he left with a whole list of things in it. I also only an icon that is hidden and it is ATT browser as I have Google maps instead. It's driving me crazy! Thanks everyonein advance

    On your BlackBerry, go to Options > status > press Menu > database sizes.

    Scroll to memos... What number is there (as 45/84 KB)?

    If there is nothing else that 0/0 KB, that means that the memos app on your devcie to keep looking... Is I have to be there.

    If 0, then back to the drawing board to charge memos... Make sure that operating system is loaded on your PC, open Desktop Manager > Loader application and memos is checked to install on your device.

    Sounds like policy. If this device is on a BES and controlled at least partially from your employer, you need to talk to your employer or your employer, IT people. If it is under your full control and of your device, then there is no problem in removing a COMPUTER policy.

    I have a Macbook Pro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo OSX version 10.5.6 and tried several times to install Pocketmac for Blackberry 4.1.25.  I use it with a Blackberry 8830 running 4.2 verion. I continue to get this error message.

    Problem solved.  I never started after the start of iTunes and iTunes and connect my Blackberry, Pocketmac started and ran without any problems.

    I don't know how your carrier wait you will activate your plan data manually - it's something that they need to do so give them a call and talk to someone else.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones sending BBM TXT MSG does not work for one person

    Here's my question:

    I receive message txt BBM to my wife and I can send and receive voice calls BBM to my wife, but when I send her a bbm txt message that she doesn't get and I just get a red X next to the message.  The problem started when she got the new phone of Q10, I still a 9800.  The interesting part is I can send / receive messages with my other contacts and it can send message with her to other contacts.  We tried to remove and re-add each other and pulling the battery.

    Update: problem solved for me. Sim card and battery tire booted up phone without sim card card pull dough and put back in place in the sim card and booted up phone it does not solve the problem but I included it just in case he did something, I tried this, because my wife took my phone and put his SIM inside and I thought they could have messed something up. After trying the above, I did the following: uninstall BBM and restarted my phone and installed BBM go to app world. Fixed a problem.
