I was disappointed by my battery with the 9900 BB new life. Read posts on possible corrections, but nothing helped. Started tinkering and found my backlight setting was too high - 70. Lowered to 10 and what a difference it made. Go about 9 hours and still have 50% remaining battery. Also did the same for the other parameters.

    The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates.     Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

    To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

    Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

    So I had this phone for about a year and a half. I'm under contract.     I have problems with my Bold 9900.  My phone is less than a year and now I can't open my address book.  The phone freezes and I have to take out the battery to restart.  At the same time, my BBM and App World leave works as well.  I can't access an application.

    Exactly as you wrote, there is no such capacity... you can "restore" data, but you can only "recharge" your operating system... so, I would recommend that you attempt to reload your OS and perhaps update. Here are a few tips.

    I've updated 3 applications today on my bold 9900, bridge, evernote, and messenger.  Once I got all the updates and the phone restarted, the action icon download started running and has not stopped for almost an hour, unless I turn off the wifi manually.    He went briefly, about 3 minutes, when I synced my playbook with my "BOLD" under the bridge blackberry APP on my phone.  I tried to go to the screen to home where she tells about what applications are running and that's only usual ones, home, bbm, internet, phone and messages.  I tried turning off the phone several times, but the problem still persists.  help please?

On my phone, I get new notifications of e-mail and I can see the e-mails from the notification at the top bar. However, when I go to the messages folder, I don't see any emails. New unread emails or existing emails. I can say I am connected to the Enterprise Server because I get new e-mail messages (can see them through notification), I can send emails and they delivered, but just nothing shows in the Messages.     Administration team checks thereon. However, it's funny that calendar synchronizes and shows ok. I am able to send emails. I am able to read new messages in notifications only, but not to messages folder. I tried power market several times without success.

    BUT - earlier I removed the battery and put it again and voila! the emails are all here now! I read this somewhere on the internet, but he also said that in a day or two it goes back to the new symptom. I have my emails at the moment and let's see what happens over the next few days.     In fact, before you start trying a refill of OS, I recommend you try this sequence... Note that during throughout the entire process 4h15m, your BB must be directly connected to a good charger (not USB from PC, not a cradle):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

    This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

    It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

    The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

    Just bought two 9900 and installed (twice so far) the program BB Desktop Software. The difficulty to complete the update of the first phone software. Finally managed to configure and then synchronize the phone. I had tried several times to use the Blackberry Desktop program on a Windows XP virtual machine, that will run on a linux host (as bb is not so far seem to think to provide a linux version of the program for linux users is worth.)     I bought this unit on 29 February. A few days later, I noticed the battery was going from 100% to 0% in a few hours, so I went in the first week to change the battery and did this and he used to work fine until a few days where the battery goes from 100% to 0% in less than an hour ago.
