  Okie, I have a tmobile BlackBerry Curve 8520, I called them not even 10 minutes ago and has asked on the unlock codes and how or what to do to get that because I am currently with AT & T, they said it would probably be more easy for me to call the manufacturer of blackberry directly and get the unlock code I can't find a phone anywhere could someone give me a hand, well technically a phone number =)

  As a general rule, carriers will give the code to a customer who has been in good standing for some time. Since you have already closed your ATT account, this could explain why they are more willing to help you. RIM does not provide codes, which you said ATT rep was, IMO, a way to take him down phone on their part.

  You are probably left to pay for a 3rd party to provide you with the unlock code. There are many providers of it. Google will bring you fluffy results, as did a search in these forums.

  Press menu for a few second it will pop up a screen and will let you know how many applications are running in the background. In addition, your home screen page go to Option > device. > Application management > move your Trackpad right or left, it will display the Cpu uses screen. • BlackBerry Smartphones backup dies on the Dbase of profiles... Have already reset, what now?

  First post here.  Took a Curve 8330 for about a month now.  Recently during the backup, I started getting an error saying "Error backup databases [profiles] 4 of 6 entries retrieved"

  I already have:

  1. entered in screen forward and cleared the databases on the device.

  2. backup again, no problem.

  3. open a backup file is a few days, to restore these profile (& options) on the device

  4. backup again...  No dice, still the same problem.

  So I just deleted the profliles of the device. A few days later I recreated manually one of my profiles on the phone.  Next time, I tried to backup, I got the error again.  What now?

  DM is 5.0, OS is Windows XP, OS BB is 4.5.0

  So I think I have this beat problem.  I found a few useful posts on another forum.  Most tell you to clear your browser's cache and cookies, then re-sync.  This didn't do it for me, and I didn't know it would be that the cache of the browser should not have anything to do with the timing of the Profiles database.

  However, I did go to the advanced screen and clear data of the device.  Then I did a battery with quick pull pull.  Then I backed up once again, with no problems.  Then, I recreated my profile customized from scratch.  Now seems fine backup...  See you soon.

• BlackBerry Smartphones can not display of MMS messages. Help!

  I got my Blackberry Bold 9700 since January and have not had any problems of reception of MMS messages up to now.  All of a sudden, when someone sends me a MMS, I can't see it, it just says: not received and it never receives.  I have the MMS service through my AT & T service provider.  Any suggestions?

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Hi all, I have the bold 9700 and I am trying to connect to my yahoo messenger on my bb but allow me to connect. He goes on to say this is the user name or password, but when I tried to connect to my laptop it works, also on iphone it works! I tried to log in 2 other yahoo ID on my messenger in BB and it works so I don't know what the problem is! I tried to reinstall twice the Messenger from yahoo on my BB and it did not help! I wonder if someone can help me? I can't use my own ym in my bb!

  It seems to me like this. The BB keyboard is so small that each key has to do a lot of different functions, and they change according to different control keys (alt, caps, etc.). For example, you press the right buttons, but something completely different is the result. Very attentive to the real characters that are sent when you try to type the password... you might be surprised at what are the actual characters. You should get a moment to see each character in the clear before it turns into a *.

• BlackBerry Smartphones made reconciliation should take 3-4 hours?

  Just buy the BBerry curve which replaced my Treo. On the Treo, you might push "send/receive" and it would be looking for emails as well as to reconcile with the POP3/ISP server. that is if I had downloaded or deleted from the server (earthlink) messages, then they would immediately disappear from the PDA.  I can't find a way to do it on the BBerry.  He does eventually - but it takes sometimes up to three or four hours before the delete.  By pushing the button of reconciliation does not seem to do anything, even if a connection is made.  Can you please help me to have the blackberry don't show that messages that are still not downloaded and/or not deleted and delete the messages downloaded or deleted more quickly?  Thank you!

  1. There is no such thing as send/receive on the BB, its all about mail push, comes automatically.

  2 reconcile work but not sacred now, is not the priority, it takes a few hours as you said b4 nessage gets removed from BB, again its all about push email, receving your mail, everyhting else is secondary.

  Now you have to leave a copy of the message you rmail server to receive all messages on BB, or if you do not leave a copy onmail server, messages only appear on BB so your e-mail (outlook) program is off, other wise, they will come in outlook (some random messages can always come on BB).

  You can set balance option on BB if you want to remove the message on your e-mail server when deleting on the BB.

• "BOLD" of blackBerry Smartphone + microsdhc 16 GB = does not read! Help!

  I bought 16 gb microsdhc SanDisk. When I load approximately 10-15 songs and 100 images... my phone readings, exhibitions and playing of images and music files.  But when I do a complete transfer of all photos 7gbs, my phone is not read or display images. I thought that the card I bought was false, so I went to a Best Buy local and bought the same exact card and the same problem happened.

  Is there something I need to change in the configuration of my phone? Or is it a matter of bring to the AT & T store?

  I guess that the phone reads only certain amount of data to each analysis.

  that took me almost 12 GB in a 16 GB at the same time, the phone will not read it all at once.

  So I Atl + right shift + delete to a soft start to the phone... and it loads the rest of the data.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB APP WORLD v. 1.1 PROBLEM - Please HELP!

  I am a new user/owner of a BB Curve 8330. In the options screen, it said c. 4.5.0.77 (Platform 3.2.0.51). I'm not sure what these numbers correlate exactly with (operating system, software device, etc.)-pathetically.

  This morning, I tried to upgrade to the new version 1.1 BB App World. I think I can get screwed up. When I installed it, it asked me if I wanted to remove the 1.0 version, and I said 'yes '. After installation of v. 1.1 and rebooting, I tried to use the new version and I always get the following error message:

  "BlackBerry App World is had problems connecting to the server BlackBerry App World. Check your network connections, and then try again. »

  My phone is not compatible with this version? I can't understand. I was going to download the 1.0 version and reinstall, but I can't seem to be able to find this version available for download.

  Please help - I don't know what to do.

  Hello!

  In my opinion, the "best" method is via the Desktop Manager software... it's the method that gives you the opportunity to do a full manual backup... pre-installation needed something catastrophic occur during the update process. Yes, the update via DTM also offers a backup during the process (and you should say 'yes' to that), but a secondary backup, taken outside of the update process, could be invaluable.

  I am in need of a new mobile device so I thought I'd do a BB Bold 9000 or iPhone 3 g. I noticed more people seem to use BB on iPhone and all my friends are making a for the text of BB so I thought I'd get too. [There are a few things I would like to know from the users of this device before I decide to buy so I would really appreciate if someone could help me with a few questions:]

  1. do YouTube, BBC iPlayer and other video streaming websites works on BB Bold 9000 and play smoothly? (especially YouTube!)

  2. can I use all of the features of the BB without being on a BB Internet Plan?

  (I'll get a unlocked and be on PAYG with internet unlimited, I'll use the web versions of Hotmail to display my e-mail address, but if I wanted to set up an e-mail account of BB, would this be possible?)

  3. What is the maximum of the expandable memory of the BB Bold 9000 will recognize?

  4 will be all the apps in the BB App store be available to buy even if I live in the United Kingdom?

  5. is the web browser that is stable when connected via Wi - Fi?

  1 Youtube works on BlackBerry as long as the device has the latest version of the operating system software.

  2. you may not use all the features of BB without a data plan.  To be honest, you can be quite disappointed with a BB if you don't have a data plan.  NO e-mail without data plan.  You will be able to view web pages if you have a wifi connection, but that's all.

  3 depends on the device and the OS version but more support up to 16 or 32 GB cards.  However, cards are only for the media and could not install applications on the card.

  4. applications are available for purchase in AppWorld, but you need a BB data plan.

  5. Yes, but what if all you do is navigation and you compare to the iPhone then you may be disappointed.  If you do not have a BB data plan, it is possible, that you would be happier with an iPhone because everything most of its features work on a wifi connection.
