Theme BB Dimension today (active)

This theme is not put in place of the advanced dates that I put in the grille. How can I reset it as he did. I tried to reset the value default and taken battery, theme modified and then returned to the it.

    The ability to use for different purposes, different languages on a BB is a function of having the right OS package installed for BB. This details KB on the complexities of achieving what you desire. Once you determine, based on all the factors, the package of operating system that you need, you would seek it through this Portal:

    Before continuing, please visit this thread to make sure that you have a good backup so that you can properly restore everything as you go along:

    If a package which, by the KB above, should understand that need you then you must install this package of system operating for your BB. From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

    Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML...     I'm not alone in this struggle, so I hope that some will benefit from the demo above.

    I had no SUCCESS in sync my curve for more than two weeks... (I'm looking more to the Iphone and Android now).

    That said, I need of those in the know to decipher this cryptic message. In fact, I need a fix. Let someone else read this and tell me the solution or workaround.

    I had the same error occur with DM 4.6 with my Curve 8310. I got the job of synchronization at the beginning, but it has stopped working shortly after. Once I made the debug log, I found the same error 0 x 80040107 a.\olkfolders.cpp. So I decided to create a new Outlook profile and switched DM to use instead and everything is good! Just to let you know, I couldn't even change the Configuration of the synchronization without seeing the error.

    I just got the phone recently so I guess while I was trying to understand the configuration that I had made a change somewhere in Outlook or DM and that caused the errors occur. DM uninstall and delete all settings are a complete waste of time.

    Create a new Outlook profile seems to be the fix for me. And like you, the uninstall has been a waste of time. Moreover, I had no joy with the edition of the Configuration of the synchronization without seeing the error.

    I recently changed email address personal and added new on my device. Then I tried to delete old addresses, but when I go to the configuration of email, it is only showing my new email addresses and not the "old". I don't receive email from the old addresses (or at least they do not display in my folder of message or when I click on the icons, so I guess I don't get them), but the icons are still on my desktop screen. I hid them, but how do I get rid of them completely? Thank you!

    After I posted this, I have done some more research on the Forum and found this thread http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8300&message.id=36199&query.id=210577...  I did urumilton suggested by entering the service books and removing books from service for old accounts... and voila! The icons are more on the desktop! YAY!

    I bought my first BB (8310). It was about 12 days and the problems do not seem if go away (new rather keep popping up)... and new solutions keep help out me... (courtesy this forum)

    This is an unlocked t mobile handset in which I use a GSM SIM. Instead of running around in circles, I'll just to the bottom of problems which are produce to the phone.

    a. I have upgraded the software for the device of 4.2.2 to 4.5.0.69 provided by T-Mobile Germany. Everything was fine, but the next day the phone reboot began between calls (3 - 4 times). My only relief was this forum where I learned that if you have a card inserted in the phone, should be reformatted. I did and thankfully he stopped restarting since

    b. now something new began to arise - there is a lag of phone.

    i. I use the theme today on the phone and when I want to block it, the hourglass appears. Then I scroll through the menu, the screen freezes and starts again some seconds (15-20) later... Is this a feature?

    II. SMS Messages I deleted still show on the theme of the screen while they are not in the folder

    c. a large number of solutions around the BB were centered around the part of the memory. Is there a permanent solution at all (I mean, some optimized setting for BB 8310 - for example to keep only those programs and don't keep others)

    d. is there a simple way to view folders...

    e. There are several other things like...

    Based on your description, I can only imagine that you tried only the automatic methods of obtaining an updated operating system. These methods are controlled by your operator, no BB, as to what is available to you. If, for example, BB was released at the level of the OS you want, but your carrier delays in approval, then you will be offered through these automatic methods. Fortunately, there are tricks to circumvent this (assuming that some other carrier comes to present the OS level you want, of course). The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

    6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

    If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    My BB is a little more than 1 year and worked perfectly. All of a sudden there's a week my email and messenger has stopped working. I am connected to my wifi at home and use data of O2 in the case plan.

    I did a battery without effect pull.

    I rang O2 helplne twice and they talked me through various operations, but could not solve the problem. Finally, they said that as it was purchased in London (it was a gift, but I have received), I needed to return to the store as it was a problem of BB. Not so easy that I live in the western part of the Ireland.

    If I go to the e-mail settings , it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server.

    In Status of the Service - it is said BB Internet Service connection: not connected

    Connection to the BB Enterprise Server: not connected

    Text messaging works very well. Browser works well too and of course I can access my email from here but it is the major concern.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones after upgrade attempt for 8310, device will not - restart only flashing red

    Problem: I tried to upgrade the software of the device to 4.5 and now THE DEVICE WILL NOT RESTART at ALL. Not with a hard reset. Not using the SIM card and the battery of my 8310 and put in his. Nothing. Just a red light that flashes in a model: two quick flashes then pause; two quick flashes then a pause, etc.

    Reminder: This 8310 got to. 4.2.2 software device and something like 2.6 on the desktop. I have downloaded/upgraded to 4.6 for the office and 4.5 for the device since the AT & T site. The Director of office prompted me to install the new software for device... good. After a few minutes, I get an "unknown error" message and it stopped the installation. Following a support article, I uninstalled reinstalled two updates, but then the problem occurred: NOTHING happens on the screen of the device at all, just the red light flashing when the unit is plugged.

    The AT & T store told me that it's the tenth 'dead' curve he is seen in about a week, apparently all occurring when people tried upgrading the software. All the thoughts/help to offer?

    I had (apparently common on this forum) problems with memory on my blackberry curve 8310.  I use Missing Sync MarkSpace software to synchronize with my macbook.  The software works very well, but he has to use too much memory.  I added a memory card hoping that it would help this problem... but the map does not appear to be used.  I have no more than two or three rings and a few photos.  I think that the software and my contacts/calendar to take up space.  I can't load this kind of applications or data on the card?  How?     If it has a backup, it can use Desktop software > device > restore and the system should select the most recent backup, or you can perform a search to find and set it to restore it on the new device, all contacts, messages, calendar, etc.

    Smileys will only work if yo'll b using messenger service, such as BlackBerry Menssenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, etc. These are located under the symbol key (SYM). Next to e-mail programs you will not be able to use smileys in SMS, MMS or email.

    I lost my old phone blackberry (Curve 8320) and replaced by a new (Bold 9700). I want to put the new phone as the active device for my manager to Desktoip. Whenever I connect the new phone, it is listed as "Device connected" but my old phone still appears as "active Instrument '. When I connect the new phone, it also gives me an option to change to the new company profile. But when I click on 'Yes' it still shows the old phone as 'active Instrument '. How can I reset this setting so that my new phone becomes the active device. I use Desktop Manager version 5.0.1 and I do not wish to move to 6 because I use the Desktop Redirector functionality in version 5.0.1 which is absent from the v6. Thank you.

    So I figured out how to reset (w/o call my IT dept ). In order to reset the current device:

    1. If you use MS Exchange directly: create a new profile through control-> e-mail settings panel.

    2. If downloading emails from exchange server to local folder, and then add a new pst file and make it the default.

    After making the above, restart the Desktop Manager and follow the instructions.

    I just bought the 9320 BlackBerry Curve, I put a phone lock code and it worked very well and unlocked each time but now after being in my Pocket most of the day a few buttons should were pressed and it says phone locked and on the screen it says-"type of blackberry to continue" (he never said this before) I do this, and then it asks for my code, I put in my original code (4 digits) and it says incorrect code, I am now on my last attempt, what will happen if I try and I no more attempts on the left? He will go on lock down and cost me a fortune to get fixed or is there something I can do to avoid this problem

    What you're saying, looks like it's your device lock password, which prevents you from your device. Only this password can unlock it, but for one reason or another it just is not be accepted. Most often, it is because of the keyboard... you may think that you type a number, but actually, it's a letter, lock shift is power or some other modifier key is not present in the same State as when the password was created. Unfortunately, with just one more attempt there is very little to try... you get only once chance, so the probability of success is low.

    I suggest you remove your battery, wait 5 minutes, then insert the battery, but wait at least 15 minutes before you try anything. Only, you get a chance, so you must leave your BB to be fully started before trying anything.

    If you fail the last time, what will happen is that your BB will wipe itself clean of everything and be as if it were when you received first of all, including the removal of the password. This is a security feature designed to protect valuable data and personal information on the device of thieves.

    Just bought a new 9720 but cannot get my operational emails. I have a plan through Virgin Mobile and according to their technical service, everything is as it should. Type in my Blackberry ID and password and the handset said contacting server however, that's how. Next message says the Blackberry Enterprise server has not responded to your activation request. An error has occurred.

    What should I do now? Virgin are unable to solve the problem.

    Why is it so difficult for an individual to set up the phone? Can someone help me solve the problem. Thank you

    You can import excel to Outlook, for a single method, and synchronize your Outlook file using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    Another is to export the Excel file to an ASCII text file and then import it directly (without Outlook) using the Desktop Manager.
