BlackBerry Smartphones BB made leave emails on the server by default?

New to my BB Bold 9900 and, while I can set up my email accounts, I wonder if BB leaves a copy of the emails it sends to the phone on the server? I use multiple POP3 e-mail accounts and you want to keep a master copy of everything on my PC / Outlook.

Is there a parameter / switch anywhere on the phone to do this?  I tried to send emails and they seem to be left on the server but nervous to configure all accounts without knowing how it works!  I don't want to sync between Outlook & "BOLD".

Any indication of the place where is would be appreciated.

TIA
DAV

So, as you can see on the chart in the link, POP3 do not reconcile "sent" emails on the server.

And 'push' email is the RIM technology. Not 'pull' as the iPad. If you can just go 'get' your email at will.

There are ways to work around the old... for your email, put a "automatically BCC" email BIS yous put in place, to yourself.

Then, set a filter on the enamel of your self do not push unit.

And then, in your Outlook, you set a rule on mail entering yourself to be deposited in your "sent" folder

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I put my emails using the device... can I now subscribe to the Blackberry Internet Service?

I created my account e-mail directly from the device itself, without ever registering an account with my service provider's Blackberry Internet Service. Now I want to apply a filter (to resolve the issue in duplicate of Gmail), and it seems that I have to do it online, rather than the device itself. If now, I hit 'create new account' more at blackberry.orange.co.uk and go through the registration process, which is likely to prevent the proper functioning of my existing installation? I have to start over? Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how before SMS & Email to the Messages folder?

First time BB user, got the flick of BB8220 yesterday. Happy with the service so far.

The only concern I have is that the SMS messages I get are the SMS folder and not the folder of Messages, and it seems to me e-mail aren't either. A friend sent me 3 different messages (BB Messenger, Email, SMS) and 3 went 3 separate files.

Is it possible to have all messages, regardless of type/style, to filter automatically in the Messages folder? It would certainly help the organization time and money.

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

    Yes.

You can have all three of those you mentioned go to your main messages folder.

First of all, for SMS. Open your main messages folder > Menu > Options > General Options > Email and SMS Inbox = combined, then SAVE.

Second for the BlackBerry Messenger > open BBMessenger > Menu > Options > show Conversations in message list = Yes, then SAVE.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to receive emails from the BES to the smartphone

I'm having the same problem described in the overview of article KB11172and have tried all the solutions listed here, but nothing helps.  The strange thing is, I have 4 9630 s connected to my BES, 2 work well and 2 are not able to receive emails.  How could it be?  Something about handhelds?

    Please advise!

    Thanks for the help!

Yes, there is the exchange account and the account of Rogers on each device.

I solved since the question... it was a simple reboot of the BES.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones like Blackberry to leave messages on the server?

My phone made the unjustified assumption that this is my primary e-mail device and all other e-mail software should apply to it.  I want that all my messages on my PC in Thunderbird, which has unique permission to remove the server.  I don't want the Blackberry to co-opt this authority by making such a request of my other software still does not provide an option to be configured that way.  In fact, when I try to connect to the help page on the synchronization of message, which may not even be relevant, I constantly got an error message that get up completely out of all the pages I've visited and makes me start over.

Thus, all the ranting side, how to determine what the setting is on the curve with respect to the retention of the content on the reel from the server?

In any case, it seems that the default is to leave messages on the server, but it would have been nice to know who advances.  In addition, each Email option help select finally ends with a message that "an unexpected error has occurred.  OK ".  No, it's not OK!  Is it like HTTP 500 Internal Server Error?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB pull emails from the server puts on handheld and then delete them!

Is it just me, or is there some serious problems of compatibility with Blackberry and Microsoft Outlook 2007?  Many of my emails go only to my Blackberry, only to remove after awhile!  It is located to leave them on the server.  I never see my emails on my computer at home!  I don't see any messages like mine.  Verizon even sent me a new phone, and it does the same thing!

    It is not the device.

So you have a mail server which is the equation of 'lost' in your message and the facilitator common to both the BlackBerry and your Outlook application.

You always check your webmail (using the Web interface, not Outlook)?

You're on a staff BIS account or is this BlackBerry on a BES business account?

I connected my Rogers email on my smartphone.  When I get an email through my smartphone, I am able to see it, but when I go back to the Inbox a few minutes later it is no longer displayed in the list.  Why is this happening?  I only had the phone for 1 week. I want to be able to retain e-mails until I have remove it from my computer at home or I delete them manually from the smartphone.

    Hello

    Reference:

    • KB05133 Features of the BlackBerry Internet Service email reconciliation

The situation you describe usually happens with an e-mail account which is, according to this KB, capable of deleted point reconciliation of the server for the BB. If there is an another e-mail client, access to this account (for example, Outlook on your computer at home) and the client is configured to delete messages from the mail server when it downloads, then BIS reconcile conscientiously that made back to the BB - from the perspective of the BIS, the element has been removed, because BIS may reconcile only against your mail server - he can't see this other PC-based e-mail client.

To avoid this, you must configure Outlook (or whatever the PC email client you use) to leave messages on the server, with the option (if available) to delete the server only when you remove them within your Outlook client itself. Normally, this allows the ability to keep the BB correctly synchronized with the Outlook client.

Depending on your mail PC client, this may or may not even be possible:

I receive only a few e-mails from my BB 9700 to my hotmail account, if I go online and log into my hotmail it is unopened emails that have not disappeared from my BB... anyone know why?

    Hello

There are a few possible reasons... of what you say, it seems that you use hotmail WebMail interface from your computer (as opposed to Outlook or some other desktop e-mail application, which, if used might complicate things), these KBs may apply to your situation:

    • KB13374 Delay in delivery of email to the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB15747 E-mail message delivery is delayed due to a Windows Live Hotmail account on the BlackBerry smartphone

I also suggest that the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... ( Please wait for this before moving on to the next step) :

    (1) registry HRT

    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  • Torch of blackBerry Smartphones is automatically delete emails

    Hi all

I recently bought a torch and set up two e-mail accounts that synchronize with Outlook.  My mails are now deleted from my torch, although sent are still there.  I changed the email settings is deleted after 60 days.  I read somewhere that I should disable wireless reconcile, but that did not help either one.  Does anyone have any other suggestions as the reason to have the blackberry is to connect with my emails remotely!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Amanda

Are these emails that may have been deleted from Outlook, also?

If they are deleted from your mail server, then the sync 'delete' is apparently also remove them from the BlackBerry device.

In Outlook, you have a parameter to "leave messages on the server", you need to check that.

"1 I'll do an reset remote which will also cut your BB to the BES. Then I'll delete your BES account and when you are prompted to eventually remove info exchange BES, I'll select Yes. This will make all blank. »

All right, except that only 10 days in the history of my e-mail has been synced on my handheld.  HE said nothing that they can do, but emails are always on my work Outlook account should create a way to update my pocket computer.

    Suggestions?

    Hello!

Well, somehow, they are correct. BES is not designed to synchronize a mailbox. On the contrary, it is designed to handle the new messages from the moment of activation - which in your case is the recent reactivation. There are a few things they can do on BES to push historical e-mail, but it is simply not designed to make your mailbox HH replicate your Inbox to the server mailbox.

Here's a knockout who treats things they can do on BES... Although, given that you have received 10 days back, it sounds as if they already did this:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11632

And here's a way you can, on your BB, search your history by email from the server:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/dynamickc.do?externalId=KB15161&sliceId=SAL_Public&command=show&forwa...

And here is a forum thread BES which deals with the question:

I never found a way to move old items to my Outlook client desktop computer on to my BB... and, frankly, once I got used to how it works, I decided that I didn't need the story on my BB anyway.
