BlackBerry Smartphones BB9520 V5.0.0.713 (bundle 1206, platform 4.2.0.323)

I have a big problem with this phone. I've updated since a BB9500 after water damage and enjoy a more stable and operating over phone that the old BB9500.

Over the past 6 monthe the phone started to give problems;

The major, is it seems to lose the signal. The signal shows very well, but for some reason, the connection said only SOS.

This lasts about 5 to 10 minutes and sometimes needs a battery pull to get the signal.

It's very frustrating, because my wife is on the same network and never loses signal to SOS only, so I guess that's not the carrier. My brother has a "BOLD" and has never encountered this problem.

The other problem is in surfing, or a call, the phone off just and rebootes himself - frustratring very... This happened at least 2 times in the last 24 hours...

I keep the phone updated regularly and do not have a lot of application on the phone. There are still some 1.7Gig of the 1.8Gig always available aboard...

I hope there is an easy solution?

Well, this version of the package you have quoted is. 713... the same that say you that you have already installed. In the sticky, it seems that there is a high que.741. It is your decision to try or not. Yet, even recharge your current version is known to sometimes clarify issues. Even more, your business could be your best bet to look at this... they provide all your formal support.

This seemed to cause a conflict when I did a reboot and froze the device. With that uninstalled App Bundle 1646 upgrade has been successful, far, but I still have to reinstall all my applications.

    Once you have downloaded an OS on your PC, the way to find it is C:\Program Files\Common Motion\AppLoader\ search and open the file Loader.exe.  In 64 bit of Vista computers, the file is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.

    Once you find the file and delete the vendor.xml file, open BlackBerry Desktop Software and it will tell you that there is an update available for your phone.

    It could be... Please re-read the last paragraph of my previous post. Carriers can deliver all kinds of different combinations of services to their end users. Some deliver email and social networks only, others provide internet and email only and still others provide other blends of exclusive services BB. Therefore, only your mobile service provider can answer the question regarding this service plan you should and should not have access, because it depends on the specificity of the data that you have purchased from them.

    There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    'New' is a delicate issue... the controls of each carrier that they will release their users. A carrier may be faster than that, so most "recent" is always a question of double-"which is most recent of my carrier?" as well as "which is most recent overall?"

    For your comparison, make sure you understand clearly what is your currently installed operating system:

    The first question (your "most recent" carriers) is quite simple to answer. You navigate through the portal of official download:

    your operator, and then select your model, and then compare the different versions that they currently to sanction. You compare based on 'Applications' values:

    The last in this list is the level of 7.0, with the first two BONES is 7.1 level. 7.1 is 'bigger' 7.0, so that you know that the 7.1 selections are more recent than the 7.0 selection.     I am a Sri Lanakan. Last week, I bought a Blackberry Storm2 9550 used, eBay (from a seller of e. u.). All the functions work fine except the touch screen. Can press on the touchscreen. (edges and around the screen) But he get caught suddenly, and also when am pressing an icon, phone highlights another icon. (as axample, when am pressing contacts in the home screen, phone highlights two contacts and sms). As I suppose, at this time there the phone detects it as multi touch and so I can't support what either. When am reset (battery pull) the phone, it solves the issue for a few minutes or hours, subsequently faced the same question.

    I tried to fix it by putting a piece of paper to the battery cavity, but nothing has changed.

    My storm is an unlocked phone (Comes to Verizon, but later unblocked), which is running version 5 software. ...... . 713 fact in Mexico 5.

    I want also to the last update available for my phone and how to update.

    The other appears only if your carrier has eliminated an update wireless for you. You say that it is the "best way" for you... I would add that this is the MOST DANGEROUS way.     Thank you for opening a thread of your choice on your questions...

    As stated in response to your other post:

    If the version number is the same, the only difference is the "wrappers" that the carrier attaches (special applications only that carrier, these icons of teaser for some additional services, etc.). The OS core is the same if the version number is the same.

    "Best" is often a matter of judgment - if we logically, the latest package would be the "best" because it would have patches that the prerequisites packages had no. But, there is always the chance for a new edition to be introduced. Witness the 9550 releases... until I think that it etait.713 (or something close), there was a problem of "robotic voice" which was eventually cured (among others) to. 1015... but introduced en.1015 was the loss of automatic mode "bedside" for display during the load. With these, it has become a matter of choice regarding "what's worse for me"... a stop for each person to do.

    Anyway, not knowing not OS specific packets you compare, it is impossible to provide something more... just to remind that if the version number of the package is the same thing at the same time, then the only difference is the "wrappers" as the core of the operating system is identical.

    My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

    Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox.     1) register HRT

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    On the Blackberry Desktop Software, I select the organizing element on the left menu and see the following:

    (selected) <-->Microsoft Outlook calendar

    (selected MemoPad <-->Microsoft Outlook

    (not selected) Address book (wireless sync)

    (selected) <-->Microsoft Outlook tasks

    In practice, my (Outlook and Blackberry) address books are not synchronized at all.

    The help function directs a as follows:

    Turn off wireless sync

    To synchronize your organizer data, you must turn off sync wireless for each data type of Organizer you want to sync using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software.

    1. On your BlackBerry® smartphone, in calendar, Contacts application, tasks of application or Notepad application, press the Menu key > Options.
    2. If necessary, click a calendar or contact list.
    3. Change the wireless synchronization in No. field or uncheck the wireless sync.
    4. Press Menu > Save.

    In step 1, I can choose one of the apps, but don't get anything like wireless sync options.

    At the top of the Blackberry home screen where the status of telephone network, there is an option to enable or disable the Wi - Fi connection, but after having turned off here, it still does not allow me to sync my address book via the connection cable PC/phone.

    My BB used to plant recently and does not start until I have remove and replace the battery, yesterday I was on a call when it crashed I have replaced the battery, but he would not return to the top!

    I read the previous posts however I could not find a solution, I know that this is not a screen problem because when I blace battery I get "Blackberry" and the loading bar, it loads for 2 ~ 3 seconds then the white screen, seen a lot of posts to check the application loader but I don't have it on my PC.

    But, to start your diagnostic efforts, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    If there is no Safe Mode, I suggest that you test to see if your battery is causal. Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must be directly connected to a charger checked (not PC USB, not a docking station):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

    This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

    It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

    The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

    Otherwise, then you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

    Finally solved the problem. Passed under my mobile network setting 2g & 3g to only 2g as iam not using 3g. Now, everything seems to work fine. Phone stops only when the battery is low.

    To use your BB when out of your network home, and if you want to keep your home SIM card inserted, you must have stored with your carrier network for roaming, international data plan if that's where you are roaming to.

    To use your BB on a network of different carrier with their SIM card, you must first have unlocked your BB is carrier home (see above for that).

    Other (applies to both), your BB must be compatible with the carrier data network technology and frequency... If the radio inside your BB does not support the network of the carrier, then nothing will work. If it is compatible, then you should be able to receive voice-level services. But for data level BB services, must still ensure that your specific model BB number is supported by this network of carrier for AutoShip of HRT and maintenance to your BB book... If not, then you will not be able to receive data of BB services.

    It's actually more and less complicated than that. Looking at all the 4 bytes of the version number of the operating system, if the two carriers have the same version, then the package is the same from the functional point of view BB. However, each company tends to "Pack" the package they release with some specific things from carrier, but none of this is really necessary... it's usually just things like icons of teaser for applications that a carrier has agreed to try to push their users. Not important.

    Regarding the language, it is not simply a matter of the carrier you choose. It is rather a question of the OS package you choose, such as governed by this KB:

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

    6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

    If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue. When installing, be sure to check deeply to all available applications to choose to settle... don't forget to dig deep into each element of multi-level and don't forget that you have selected everything that relates to your language (s) you want.
