BlackBerry Smartphones BB9900 SMS

Today, I noticed when a new SMS arrives I get a LED quick-continuous signal until I opened the message. On the home screen, there isn't a sign of Star message, but when I go to the messages I see a new unread message.

In the system is the Advence Os and installed LED and I put a yellow LED for SMS.

Any advice?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. If this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.

See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Good luck!

    Hello becon1417

To clarify, when you receive a new text message he read your text message, to the right!

If it is then can you confirm if you have installed any 3rd party app that does this, you Homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete such a request.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 9320 SMS is not received

Recently (for the last month or almost) my curve blackberry 9320 received no texts, I do not think a lot that I use my BBM more than I text so I just thought that people were not to contact me, but then I asked someone text me, I saw that they sent and he had delivered, but my phone has never notified me of the received message I went into the folder of text messages, and nothing is found, the text I had just been sent, I can send text easily and they are delivered successfully to others but I can not just receive texts, I even texted me (Sad I know), but the phone said they had delivered but I never received them I tried battery pull, pull out my card sim for a while (30 minutes) and then to restart my phone, nothing... It's weird because I've never had this problem before.

I contacted my service provider and this has baffled them also because they could not help and did not know what it is, has anyone here ever had this problem?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 9330 "SMS error 0, general problems. Can't send text messages

My Blackberry 9330 cdma has been great work over the past 7 months.  From Friday 22 November, I can no longer send text messages.  I can receive texts, but every time I try to send a text I get the error message following the General problems""(SMS erreur 0, ID de Message XX). "

I was using my phone as usual, sent the texts in the morning, but in the evening, I was unable to send a text with success to anyone.

I have contacted my provider and they did not receive one of the error messages on the network, and there is no power outages in my area (I tried to send other areas of the city too).  I have pulled the battery to reset, deleted the data from the phone, reset all connections... all to nothing does not.  The issue seems to be with the blackberry.

I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me.

    Thank you

It is usually a network problem if you have not any setting or update any software on the device. I contact your carrier and bring them to escalate your case through their support channels.

Hey, I'm pretty new on my BlackBerry 8130 and don't know how to change the alert sound for each individual type of the message, such as SMS, emails and voicemails. Any information or direction on this would be appreciated! Thank you

Find the setting under 'Profile' on your phone, then once selected go to "Advanced" and then under Advanced, click 'Menu' on the profile that you want to change and there you can change ANY tone/notification/ringtone/etc on this profile.

If by that, you mean your device lock password, these powers are separated. ID of BB is the way that you associate your BB to BB - VRD and contains accreditation is very clean, which are separate from your password locking device, your credentials from the account of electronic mail and all other things.

It seems that you do not know your credentials BBID, forcing you to reset the password:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question

Note carefully that the reset password email is not, for reasons of security, delivered to your BB... so you will need to access non - BB to the e-mail account associated with your BB ID.

  • Automatically deleting blackBerry Smartphones my SMS text!

I bought my Blackberry at a friend's House and there seems to be a few things wrong with it!

I don't touch even my phone and my SMS will remove themselves...

I receive an SMS and it will automatically delete until I read it...

There is therefore the possibility of composing and MMS message on my device...

    HELP PLEASE!

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

For the MMS, which carrier do you have? Some carriers, such as Sprint are not MMS.

    For auto-delete SMS text messages:

First thing? Check the file without Options > status, what is the number to the free file? Now, remove the battery from your device, hold a minute, replace, and restart. What is now the free file?

  • BlackBerry smartphones delete SMS Messages

    Hello

I have a BlackBerry "BOLD" and two sms messages I do not succeed to remove by standard procedure. One of the two has a tick with a D on top. The other standard envelope.

    Thanks for your suggestions

    Andreas

The message with the envelope is a message for you. The one with the tick mark is the answer or the message that was sent by you. D just means that the message has been delivered.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email & SMS - silencer

    Hello

Please can someone help me with a prblem that makes me crazy? For some reason any my "BOLD" has ceased to be the usual noise to warn me of an incoming message or a SMS. Until the last two days, it was fine. Phone still rings as usual for incoming calls.

I am on the "Loud" setting profile and have checked the 'strong' settings, which for all email on my phone and SMS addresses, are as follows:

out of Holster: vibrate and tone

    ringtone: notifier_lightspeed

    volume: top

    number of beeps: 3

    etc...

It's the same with my old 8800 and I could never repair it on this phone either (I assumed it was down to old age!)

    All opinions are appreciated...

simply reset the unit by pulling on the battery the penalty is one more and reinsert.

If the question back again, please reload/upgrade to the latest version of the software combined.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones combine SMS inbox, outbox, sent and draft records

I have a Blackberry 8700.  For some reason, when I click on the messages icon, it says * no. Messages * and I have to click the display folder to display the Inbox folder and the Recycle Bin separately.  Already when I clicked on the messages icon, it took me to a screen with all my SMS messages (Inbox, Outbox, sent, drafts).  I clicked on options and made sure "Hide sent messages" were unsuccessful and it is not.  Can you tell me how to get the screen SMS combined upward?  Thank you.

I don't know why. But let's try to get it back.

To do this: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    All messages?
