Hello, I recently changed networks and when I try to re activate my email that I always get the error message "Update failed" and I don't know how to unravel the problem coz all my email details are correct. Help, please.

One method that has worked wonders in the Department of configuration of e-mail is type www.blackberry.com/integrate into the browser of your phone and set up from there.

Let us know if that helps you.

    Hello

I accidentally deleted the Blackberry email setup application in my BB Torch 9800. Therefore, I can't set up email on my BB accounts.

Anyone know how I can reinstall this application so that I can set up my email on my BB accounts?

    Thank you

I don't want to step on the toes of Boomer56, but you have been unanswered for six hours, so I'll take a shot at it.

If you connect your phone to your PC and open the Desktop Manager, you can reload your current operating system from there.  Firstly, open Desktop Manager and do a backup of your phone.  Once it is done, click the device in the upper part of the DM and update the menu drop down.  You could say that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of this box, it will show view other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version is the one that is checked.  Keep it checked, and then click Update.  This is going to re - install your current operating system, as well as all the bells and whistles with which it came.

    Thank you.

    Jaz.

First, try these steps in order:

1 - Save your pocket computer.

    • KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

    2 send your Service book

    • KB02830 : Send service for the BlackBerry Internet Service directories
    • (Wait an Enrollment Message arrives in your Inbox for each email that you have configured on your device)

    3. and then do a restart of battery like that pull while the device is powered on remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert back

After the restart, on your device, go to settings > mail account > trying to set up your e-mail account and check if you receive the same error. If you still receive the same error, then use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/integrate to add / edit an e-mail message.

    Good luck.

Hello and welcome to the community!

To use the exclusive services of BB (including the ability to Push email, BBM, etc), you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have an email Push-enabled compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), your exclusive services BB will work (for example, you will have a staff/Internet Email added to the email Setup Wizard, your BBM will work, etc.).

With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans it is impossible to say that any plan service could actually expressly provide for. Only carriers can answer this question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you want and then talk to your carrier about obtaining a data plan that allows what you want (to them).

    Good luck!

  • Smartphones blackBerry email setup in incorrect language

I just got my phone today (my first BlackBerry, actually!), and things were smooth, until I have to configure e-mail. Despite everything being in English, Setup for e-mail is in Spanish... How in the heck to change this in English?

Hi, I had this same problem-

It is a matter of t-mobile, only on the 8900, you can do two things
    (1) search for the word "language" on the BB and click on it's Spanish for language and assign English.

    (2) If you don't see this newspaper in my tmoble via your pc. Make sure that your BB is shown as your phone, (photo above) and then scroll down and click on configure internet preferences. This will take you to a page in Spanish as well as on your phone.

It's when you set up an e-mail account.

Put your email address in the first box and your password twice in both boxes, and then click the second button.

Once you do that you go to a settings page always in Spanish, but the word "idioma" now will be there,

Click on that and then set it to English and you should be good to go. If you ever see 'idioma' on any screen click on that and set English.

If you have probs with t-mobile and they will guide you through it.

    Its been very frustrating.

The configuration option of Internet e-mail in the installer of my bb torch 9800 is unresponsive. I tried to restart, wipeout, reinstalling the operating system, twice, but nothing works. And when I try to exit the Setup program, the phone hangs. I have read many users facing similar problem, but looks like RIM is NOT in the mood to solve this conjecture as an I can call my smartphone a Hynek instead or is there any resolution to this?

This question is actually not a resolution. Follow the link below and follow the workaroud downstairs. This problem normally occurs when you do an update your e-mail through your operator client wireless. You will have to contact your carrier to find out if their . If you see the Enterprise activation icon, so you haven't got the necessary information on the BIS configured on your device. Call Cinci Bell and let them know. They will make sure that your device PIN and IMEI are on your account.

AND, there is currently a data failure now affecting North America, Europe, etc., therefore, your data just may not work at the moment in any case.

  • 10 classic blackBerry email setup

I'm moving from "BOLD" to a classic.  I tried to set up e-mail on my classic accounts but have several unsuccessful attempts.  I use the same account to my "BOLD" settings.  I was wondering if the fact that I still have active E-mail on my "BOLD" is originally the failure during E-mail set up on Classic?

JSanders, I understand it.  I deleted the e-mail account on my "BOLD" and then added the e-mail account to my classic.  Worked.  So, looks like you can not have the same e-mail account simultaneously on two different blackberries.  Thanks for your help.

  • Update the BlackBerry smartphone email Setup wiped Bold 9700!

On 10 June, I received a notification that a new update is available for the configuration of Internet mail application. I can't access my em-mail settings without having to download the update. I downloaded the update and then restarts, there was an error message saying that the software could not be found! Nothing on my phone a white screen with a long list of names of software files. I couldn't go past this screen, make telephone calls, text or even turn off without removing the battery! Support BB has been able to help me to reinstall the operating system and restore man through the desktop software (Unfortunately my last sync was 4 months ago so I lost all my apps).

To this day, he still invites me to download the update when I try to access the configuration of the e-mail application. I don't know which version of the update was June 10, but the projection of the version is 6.11.0419.0755. I need access to this application, but I'm terrified to download the update. This version of the update has been corrected or is it always corrupt?

  • BlackBerry smartphones no Personal do Email Setup icon

I just got a Curve 8310 several days ago.  I went through the installation wizard, and when he got to the part configuration to e-mail my options only 2 have been

    1. I want to use ot an accouint work email with BlackBerry Enterprise Server

    2. I want to ignore the e-mail configuration

There was nowhere for me to email setup and personal as he says in the book or the tutorial I consulted on the AT & T website.  Under the Blackberry Setup icon, when I click on it only the configuration wizard and configuration bluetooth icons are available, not personal email configuration icon that I continue to read while being available.  I looked everywhere else and not been able to find.

I did go and create an online account so that I could receive emails, but still I don't know how to set up on my real device.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

After doing some research further in this forum, I came across a few other posts with the same question, and it seemed that their provider I forgot to activate their account data.  I talked to my provider and this is the problem with mine too.  Email configuration icon appeared and everything works fine now.

  • Installation application blackBerry Smartphones 9320 email missing Vodafone

    Hi all

I have a curve 9320 (best phone ever) using 7.1 1319 but can not get working internet mail. Info here any help would be fantastic.

-Curve 9320; Vodafone UK; Personal SIM; BIS is working like having internet on phone. new combined and had the same problem on the same model/same before the purchase SIM.

-Email Setup Application appears to be missing

-Tried to install via Desktop Manager, but cannot download the OS on internet, so impossible to reinstall; downgrade then upgrade again; or install specific app

-Managed to download a 'leak' configuration of e-mail application, but have not installed correctly.

    Source of this app:

    http://forums.CrackBerry.com/BlackBerry-bold-9780-F219/email-setup-application-can-fixed-633200/?_ga...

Error I get after installing and phone restarts:

    "untrapped exception."

    java.lang.ClassCastException.

    -J' now uninstalled it

-Also tried to connect to BIS on Vodafone, that I could do, but adding the account e-mail address here does not insist on it on the phone

-NB is a "hotmail" email address  I logged on Outlook online (ie. new name for Hotmail) and "enabled the synchronization of POP."  There were other options to set and I've never had to do this in the past.

    Yes, I looked here! -

Seems there are two routes - try to get the installed application and works; and get email works "via the device browser" (don't know exactly what it means the latter).

Vodafone has failed to return the telephone directories - surprising alone is sufficient.  This seems to be a way out for me.  I have to just get email configuration app works.

TBH, I think it's the best phone ever made because it has great physical keyboard; long battery life; is not to touch and smooth corners. Little surprised does not I don't see how anyone could afford a new fancy phone every 2 years!

Don't see how it could be a problem of system of Vodafone/Blackberry as surely several 9320 users using internet messaging with vodafone United Kingdom - some hotmail.

Looking forward to hear whatever it is, any help would be fantastic!

Hello and welcome to the community!

You tried not bad... well way... but here is the key:

    NF64 wrote:

It is not a red herring... the Service books are required. Legacy devices BBOS do not have a client application of full e-mail on them, they demand BIS in order to work for the email, and Service on the device books is a requirement for the functionality. Therefore, if Vodafone did not send Service directories, then something is very wrong... but, if the problem is their network, only they can look deep into it. Until the SBs exist on your device, it is useless to try whatever it is about the configuration of e-mail... the SBs are a sine qua non closed.

Here a very important question that you ask them - is your device model specific fully supported by their network for automatic filling of HRT and service book? No carrier BB support all models... each carrier chooses their subset of models to support on their network. With BBOS legacy, you can use specific models that are fully compatible with the carrier network for the automatic receiving HRT and notebook entries maintenance. Reference:

If they tell you that your device is not supported by their network, then you're done... inconsistent is not compatible. Period.

If they tell you that your device is supported by their network, then you will need them to dig deeper and determine why they are not able to send the inputs required to your device. Once again, only they can look deep into their network to determine why this cannot work properly. Nobody here has such access. In addition, only your carrier can escalate your case until BB officially if additional assistance is required... you have no channel to do (well, not for free).

There are many possibilities as to why it does not work for you... all here, we can do is guess at those. Here are a few possible assumptions:

    1. As noted above, your device is incompatible with their network
    2. Your device is listed as reported lost or stolen
    3. Your device has a BIS account running on another carrier... If so, then Vodafone will not be able to create an account for her in their system of BIS.

There are other possibilities, but I think you get the drift. What is a key issue for you - how to acquire this device? If there was a camera formerly, numbers 2 or 3 in the list above may be even more possible.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones filter emails coming into my Blackberry

I just bought a Blackberry 8830 World Edition and have put in place to get my email from sympatico.ca. I pay a flat rate for this inside the Canada.

I want to take my Blackberry with me when I travel abroad (really the reason I bought it) However, I have to pay for e-mail messages outside of the Canada, which wouldn't be a problem if I could only get the selected emails. I don't want to pay for spam and ads.

How can I set up filters so that I can filter all the undesirables?

    CC

    (1) you can add filters in the native blackberry email application but I would say that the source filtering.

Access your Sympatico webmail: http://mailsignin.sympatico.ca/home, login and you should be able to see 'options' at the top right if sympatico Setup is the same as hotmail.  Click on that and then click on "Filters and Reporting" below "Junk Mail", then making selections of yor:

    standard:

"Most junk e-mail is sent to the junk e-mail folder."

    OR

    Exclusive:

"Everything is sent to the mail senders and undesirable except message from your contacts folder, Windows Live Hotmail service ads and alerts that you Subscriber.

There is also a selection of delete all which immediately by e-mail.

I know that with gmail than all THE messages that go to the folder spam, if they are deleted or not never reach the blackberry.  Gmail and Yahoo also offer instant delivery.   It takes up to 15 minutes with every other webmail service, unless you sent it to an e-mail created blackberry.net address.

    OR

    (2) you can access you can access your blackberry internet service and create the filters it.  If you choose this option, the junkmail will still arrive in your Inbox of Sympatico, but is NOT delivered to your blackberry.  If you want filtered and deleted both of the side messages Server (Sympatico) and the Blackberry, select option 1.

Service internet blackberry for all the major carriers in the Canada:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones using Blackberry email home address?

Is it possible to set up my Blackberry email address to my home computer?  I use a Mac and use Entourage and cannot quite figure out how to implement.  If I add to my Gmail account and bring it in this way, then it will not split on my Blackberry so I can't do it.  If anyone knows a way I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    Hello!

I'm not sure I quite understand, so let me explain (forgive me if I go too far).

Unless you have your own server, your system accesses your e-mail provider via POP or IMAP... but your home system is simply an e-mail client. Similarly, BIS is an e-mail client that facilitates the communication between your server and your BB email. The Setup instructions to do this are here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10154&SLIC...

Now, if you use this, then you must configure your home email client to leave messages on the server for a certain period of time - so that when the BIS polls for new messages (every 15 minutes), they will be on the server for it to recover and push to your BB.

However, if your question is one of recovery, using your system, your emails that you have set up for a @bb e-mail address, I don't think that there is a way to do... I think that those who are exclusively for your BB itself.

    Hope that helps!
